Was pretty disappointed with my experience at QC auto. Told me that it was gonna cost $1100 to have all my struts replaced for just labor alone even when i had already paid $400 to have parts provided. Not really much of a break down of what they did and were trying to get me to have my rear control arm on my passenger side on my FWD vehicle to spend even more money to get fixed. Not really much of a break down on my receipt either, I will say they were very polite and friendly I definitely can give them that much, let alone the service they did on my car was top notch. After talking to my old mechanic that had just retired, told me that was way too high to have replaced. I felt really screwed over... I appreciate the service they did I just wish I would have went somewhere else.... Hope people take this comment into consideration before coming here and have a better experience than I did!

Took my BMW in after it was running poorly. Mat the GM called later to tell me there was $6500 worth of work needed. I understood genuine OME parts and labor would indeed cost me that after some research. However the car is only valued at $5000. I ordered after market parts to do the repairs myself. The car was already disassembled at the location so Mat agreed to put the parts on for me to save me time and money. So far the car is running fine with 126000 miles. All of the employees there were friendly and professional. I’d say this is a good locally owned shop. They have helped me with repairs for years.

I was stranded out of town and Dave the service writer was able to get me right in and get working on it. They had if fixed faster than I expected and they did a great job of explaining the issue and the repair. Damon, the tech, dropped me off and picked me up at my hotel. I knew my brakes were bad and was worried about the cost to repair them. I was able to get my car in and brakes fixed the day that I called and within a few hours of me dropping it off. Out of the places that I had already called and gotten quotes from this ended up being on the less expensive side so that was a relief as well. I will definitely be going back.

Great experience here. I was on a cross country road trip and my check engine light went on just outside Bettendorf. QC Auto got me in first thing Saturday morning, offered great advice, was able to fix the problem and I was back on the road in just a couple hours! QC Auto Service has been great! I took in my truck, ready to spend any amount of money to do my 100,000 mile maintenance. I had told Scott that, and his response was that he won’t sell me services I don’t need. I was shocked, because there was an easy opportunity to up sell me on a bunch of tune up services. I really appreciate the honesty and know exactly where any of my vehicles will be going in the future.

Ive taken several different vehicles to this place over the years, and Ive finally reached a breaking point with them. They are friendly and knowledgeable. Ill give them that much. Its certainly why I felt giving them my business was a good decision. Unfortunately, they seem to doom and gloom ANY vehicle you bring them. It could be a brand new 2019 Lexus right off the transport from the factory, and theyd find $4000 worth of needed repairs within five minutes of putting it on a hoist. Perhaps they dont mean to be shady, but they just come off that way. Other people Ive talked to have had a similar experience. Im just done taking my car to a place that uses so much fear to sell repairs that arent all that urgent. I cant complain about the work theyve done. It was definitely up to par. I only wonder how much of the work theyve charged me for was totally unnecessary in the first place.

QC Auto Service did an amazing job of diagnosing the issue with my car and providing all options of repair. They were honest with the work to be done and went in to detail of what each process. They provided recommendations on what needed to be done vs what could wait and what costs would be associated so I could make informed decisions about the work being done. Highly recommend.

Qc Auto service and their employees are amazing! Our daughters car needed to be fixed but was completely dead in our garage, so we had no way of getting to them. Great shop, gives accurate quotes, and does a great job with your vehicle. Willing to install larger tires on your vehicle, so long as they fit, unlike most other big box stores or chain repair shops. Always go here for tires and an alignment, and they have great muffler prices.

Superior Service! My alternator died as I pulled into the lot last night at 5:30. I had called 15 minutes before with my concerns. The staff stayed late to receive my car and take me home afterwards. Today they were able to get my car fixed right up. I must say that my car always drives noticeably smoother after their work, even if it is a simple oil change. Plus it is really nice to have a consistent record of the history of our cars and solid recommendations to budget for future repairs. We dropped in to check knocking from under the floor on our 1960 Impala. We asked if they could help us and they started immediately! After adjusting and clamping both exhaust tubes they mounted chrome ends and it looks gorgeous! These guys are so polite, helpful and good mechanics so we can warmly recommend them. I have been looking for a shop to start consistently taking my vehicles. I had taken my vehicle to a competitor and when I went to pick the vehicle up they had over $1,000 in recommended repairs. I wanted to get a second opinion and I was referred to QC Auto by a coworker. Many of the repairs and services that were suggested by the competitor were deemed unnecessary by QC Auto. I greatly appreciated their honesty and will continue to bring my vehicles here from now on. Daves customer service was fantastic and I look forward to working with them in the future.

QC Auto Service on State Street in Bettendorf is an amazing place. Dave the manager is really a great and very friendly guy. Everyone was very cordial towards me. Tammy is an awesome employee there. The mechanic, I think his name was Corey, truly knows cars and trucks. I have had the pleasure of having my truck serviced at this location on State & Devils Glen Rd on 2 occasions. Once to replace my starter and the other being after my car was inappropriately towed by an over zealous towing company (provided by AAA) that resulted in significant damage to my truck. Each time the work performed was efficiently and relatively expeditiously. The pricing was very fair and I was informed and even escorted into the work area to show me the exact damage that they were repairing. Dave made sure that the proper parts needed were quickly delivered and installed. Even the office staff were very warm and friendly. Dave is phenomenal! He puts out fires so to speak and handles issue-after-issue without becoming flustered at any time. He is a very efficient manager and oversees all work whether its a major part to be serviced or a simple sideview mirror.

I needed two new tires and Matt, Eric & Dan at QC Auto Service helped me every step of the way, from my initial call to check prices to the final selection and fitting of new tires. They helped me understand my options but did not over-pressure me. They listened to me, and in very little time I was safely on my way again at a fair price. Amazing headlight restoration! I thought I would have to buy new headlights but they cleaned mine and they look brand new!! Price was awesome and way cheaper than new headlights!

I took our business here for a year, and got a shady vibe from the associates, but brushed it off. Then an associate backed our van into a pole, scratching the bumper. They did not tell me about it, they must have thought I didnt see. When I brought it up, they did not apologize. They wiped some smudge off the bumper and tried minimize the problem.I will no longer take my service to individuals who are dishonest, even about little things like a scratched bumper. I expect professionals to have more integrity than that.Furthermore, they told me at every visit that something was critically wrong with my van or my truck. Usually they suggested a $500+ repair. None of these recommendations has proved necessary for my vehicles health.May 2018 Update:I got a call from the manager of this facility. He apologized for how we were treated and informed me that the manager responsible for how we were treated has since been dismissed from the company.I have not verified this fact but the gentleman was kind over the phone. I still will take no business to this location, but for what its worth it seems management may have changed since.

I came to QC Auto Service with a car that hadnt been properly maintained in years. Dan and Joe knew they had their hands full with all the work I needed, but they promised me theyd have my car done by the end of the day. They were knowledgeable, respectful, and never once talked down to me (considering I know very little about cars). They even stayed late to finish my car. I felt like I was dealing with family, and because of my experience, I cant imagine taking my car anywhere else.

Wednesday both the AC and Windows in my old car stopped working, and QC Auto service got me straightened right out! I was so impressed. They were very honest and upfront with me, and gave me several options on what my best choice would be so I did not put to much money into repairing my 15 year old, high mile car. It really meant a lot to me that they did not try to nickle and dime me and get me to fix more than I wanted to. Repairs were very fast. Could not be happier! Thanks guys!

QC Auto Service is the first place that I have brought my car that I feel I can really trust. They do great work, they are trustworthy and they have such friendly customer service. I got quotes for my car from two other shops, and QC Auto was not only the most affordable, but they also took the time to actually explain everything to me and let me know what was the most important to have done. I needed work done to my car as soon as possible, and they stayed on the phone with me to help me figure out the best and quickest way I could get my car to them in order for them to start working on it right away. They even offered to provide a ride to wherever I needed to go while they worked on my car. I was also able to go to whichever location was the most convenient for me to have the work done that I needed. I had diagnostics run on errors coming up on my dash board. I was also sure of something wrong with the ride control. After having the vehicle looked at QC auto told me I had a throttle body issue as well as a blown rear shock that was leaking fluid everywhere and there being front end issues. After discussing my issues with other mechanics I decided to not get the work done there. As I was on my way to pick up my vehicle, the owner called asking what I wanted to do about the issues - he gave me a limited time to make my mind up - and I told him I was on my way to pick it up. After that, he got hostile and attempted to insult me as well as speak down to me about trying to fix anything on my own - something I didnt even meant ion. Upon picking up my vehicle, he continued to be a jerk and I informed him Id be making sure the way I was treated would be made public.Long story short, I ended up calling the dealership about my vehicle. Lo and behold, the throttle body was covered by a GMC warranty. I got the work QC auto quoted me $490 done for free. On top of that, the dealership did a multi point inspection and determined there was nothing else wrong with my vehicle.Now Im out $0, have a new throttle body and have no further vehicle issues. Im convinced the owner of this location new the throttle body was covered and wouldve gotten my payment for service and wouldve turned in the warranty to the manufacturer as well.All in all - completely shady and this is why I find it hard to trust mechanics! I will not return.

The other day I stopped by two places before coming to QC Auto on State Street, neither told me exactly what was wrong with my car. I needed air in both of my front tires but could not get the valve caps off. QC Auto helped me in less than an hour, they fixed my front tires and also showed me what was making the noises underneath my car. This is one of the most helpful car repair shops in the Quad Cities I have been too. I will be taking my car back there to get more work done in the future, the workers here are friendly and helpful.

Walked into QC auto with a an oil light that would turn on when my car was idling. Met with a friendly guy at the desk, who turns out to be the owner as well. They took a moment to look at my car, which has certainly needed some additional repairs over the last year or so, but I havent had the money to fix it yet.Right away Dan is up front with me- Im not trying to take your money, but there are a few things I wanted to point out on your car. I smiled. The Car-X guy down the road had showed me a few real things on my car that needed attention, and several imaginary repairs that he wanted me to do, so I was fully aware of what my car needed.Dan proceeded to tell me of my steering rack issue, and a suspension issue that no one had told me of before. We walked out to the car and he showed me everything, and understood that I didnt want to do everything today. There was no pressure to make a sale or repair, just one guy talking to another. I respect any service owner that will talk straight to you without trying to sell you snake oil.Well, the oil light was just the sender unit. They test drove it to make sure, and took care of the issue that I was wanting that day. Rest assured, this is a guy you can trust with your car! A garage that has been in business for this many years, and donates so much to the local community- these are straight up professionals that care about their customers. I guarantee that Ill be returning to this place as long as Im here in Bettendorf!

I took my vehicle into Smart Toyota for a recall repair. When Smart Toyota called back stating my vehicle was repaired they also noted that I had a bad water pump leak and that it was also recommended that I should replace my timing belt as well. I decided that I would get a second opinion and Im glad I went to QC Auto! It turned out, I had a leak in the thermostat casing and had both the seal and thermostat replaced. Ill continue to go to QC Auto considering they know what theyre doing and saved me roughly 2/3rds what Smart Toyota would have charged me to replace the wrong parts!

I have been coming to QC Auto for more than 20 years. Dan Elias and his crew have always been very honest (some would call it blunt) about keeping my vehicle in the best shape possible, while also educating me on the characteristics (or shortfalls) of vehicle components. This has meant anything from routine oil changes and brake pads to exhaust systems and axle/transmission repairs. No matter what the repair, the crew has been straightforward with me, discussed my options, and kept me informed as things change. They also stay focused when complex issues dont resolve on the first try, and have made accommodations (such as a loaner) while they further diagnose an issue. The crew even took a recent unresolved/unique repair so personally, that they spent several weeks scouring through detailed of information to find the real solution - thats something a lot of the other chain/volume-only places wont do. I have yet to find a place as diligent and reasonable.

As an underfunded college student I went to QC Auto Service for a reliable and affordable experience. Yesterday, I was cruising down the highway only to have my front bearing joint / axle break on my Honda Civic. It was towed in right before closing and was basically ready the next morning - just waiting for a brake line. After a sleepless night of worrying about a bill in the thousands I was happy to learn that the total will be less than 700 in repairs for it be usable once again.

These guys are life savers! Had a bad time crunch on the day and brakes/calipers going downhill quickly. They went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get the work done and had us out the door in time. Thank you!!
