Told me one week. Went back one week later and hadn’t even started. Happily went somewhere else.
Excellent work every time. I have gone to Eckers several times this year for watch batteries and watch repair. Always fast, convenient and reliable.
Owner is courteous and very helpful...I had a 40plus year old Seako watch that had a crown and stem that had fallen out...a new part probably wouldnt have been located . Found the old part after checking out avacuum cleaner bag..shaft was bent..tip was worn, gasket rotted. Parts were cleaned, straightened and reinstalled. Cost of repairs were very reasonable . Plus the shop its self is a reminder of times passed with all the old watches and clocks that adorn the walls.
He can fix anything! And quickly too. Parrot was a big hit with my daughter.
Be careful! This shop is rip-off!He sold a $ 2 battery for $ 20.He told to me that it was a special battery. He didnt even smile.
I called this place to enquire as to whether they could do the repairs on my clock. I explained what needed to be done. The man told me that due to the pandemic, he was only doing easy repairs and that my clock cleaning, mainspring repair and hairspring replacement was too difficult to do. Maybe he was blaming the pandemic for his inadequacies?
They replaced two watch batteries and repaired one watch. I will recommend this place to my friends. A good jewelery shop in DC recommended them to me.
Professional, knowledgeable, timely, and willing to explain the work and whats needed. The work was unpacking, setting, up and servicing a tubular chime grandfather work. Very happy with the results.
Any problems Ive had with any of my watches over the last 25 years or so, Ive gotten them joyfully resolved at Eckers Clock & Watch Shop. Ive had complete confidence in Eckers right from the start. I think there might have been 2 occurrences during those 25 years that it took Eckers a little more time figuring out what was wrong, because opening up my stated problem led to a secondary reason for the watches actual malfunction; just what youd expect of a proficient mechanic!
I came into the shop thinking that I would need to have a complete service on my Seiko watch due to it running fast. Several watchmakers have almost routinely stated it would need a full service or new movement. The shop owner placed the watch on the time grapher and carefuly examined its innards with a loupe. In the end, the watch only needed a simple regulation which he was quickly able to perform. I can tell he truly values his horological craft and keeping it alive for others to enjoy. I cant recommend this shop enough if you need a watch repaired in the DMV area.
I have an automatic watch that was not working properly. I called a jeweler who said it would be $350 to clean it and it would be weeks before I would get it back. I went to Eckers and he worked on it while i waited for 10 minutes, charged $20 and it is working properly again.
Terrific clock and watch repair shop. Expert service (that is increasingly hard to find) at a fair price. And Dr. Pepper rocks!
I cant say enough good things about this place...the owner is one of a kind...(not to mention his parrot Dr.Pepper)! It is a bit like walking into a curiosity shop...very interesting and entertaining. He is meticulous and professional...I have never had a watch/clock problem he hasnt been able to solve, not to mention helpful tips!I HIGHLY recommend Eckers Shop!
Great place for repairs and interesting gadgets
Thank you for a help to fix my watch. Very professional and quick service. And your shop look very interesting. You should make a museum. I would definitely come with kids to watch all those antic clocks.
Excellent and accurate service at a reasonable price. Highly recommended! AAA+++
I have been bringing my watches here for years. Proprietor never fails to fix the problem. That includes work on Omega watches. And he always gives good advice on care of them. Highly recommend for watch repair and maintenance.
Edward Ecker was very helpful. No drop off and come back for a simple watch band replacement. Just knocked it out and I was on my way. Super friendly and friendly parrot.
This is what the fabric of life is all about: an honest, highly skilled and experienced sole proprietor providing a valuable service. Bravo! This guy is great. Thank you for your service.
A lovely 😊 place, super helpful. Down to business. A gem in Bethesda. The store is really cool 😎 if you love clocks, watches and memorabilia.
Great place to bring your finest watches. Can take a while but Mr Eckler’s does a.great job.
AWESOME EXPERIENCE! Owner is an expert on all things related to timepieces, large & small, and he is also an expert in other forms of precise mechanical technology, such as Sextants, etc. Plus, the parrot is a hoot! Delightful store, delightful experience.
Excellent service with a nice owner and a PARROT! Loved petting and holding the parrot on my shoulder while the owner was working on my watches. Too bad that he was SO QUICK on his job - would have loved holding the parrot for longer! Thank you so much!
Craftsmanship, expertise, integrity were most evident when we came to Eckers Clock & Watch Shop yesterday with our antique clock for repair. We are most grateful to have discovered them!
I had a great experience with this store and the owner. Hes a very nice guy and helped me out with a watch that was running extremely fast. He seems very knowledgeable and his prices are affordable. Highly recommend!
Cute little clock store. Very good service. Kind owner and his fun parrot!

Getttr done!
Great service. The watch repair is efficient and inexpensive, and I just love the parrot that keeps an eye over the shop. Ive been going here for 30 years.
Mr. Ecker who is the owner of this wonderful little shop does all the work. He opens late, so be sure to call before you go. There is nothing about a watch or clock that he does not know. And he is a joy to deal with. Takes your watch. Looks it over. Tells you when to return. If it cant be fixed, he will tell you that right off the bat. You can trust him with the priciest timepiece you own-- and themost precious.
Ed, who owns Eckers Clock and Watch, is just this side of magical. I have a lot of fragile old watches, many with damage and needing repair. Time and again, Ed has gone into these hopeless cases and made them whole and happy again. This is where you want to take your antiques and vintage pieces - as well as get batteries changed or a new watch band. Hes also totally genius on table clocks, granfathers - the whole gamut.
A wonderful little shop! I have been there multiple times and have always had great service.
Over 30 years have past, we had a mantle clock repaired by Mr Ecker, at that time he estimated $250 to repair and it would last at least 3 years! Since it is a family piece we had it repaired, now 30+ years have gone by and it is still keeping perfect time and chiming every 15 mins.!! Best deal ever !!! He is VERY honest, also made house call to repair Grandfathers clock. Perfect repair again, WOW what a great guy to know!! Thanks from the Waggamans................
Nice guy, good at what he does, reasonable prices.
Great place for watch repair and batteries.
Local shop. Honest people and great work.
Absolutely wonderful job on multiple issues with my complex antique grandfather clock!
Fast and effective service. Price and atmosphere lost a star.
Got a quick and cheap repair on my wristwatch.
Scratched the back of my watch when they secured the backing, had a 10$ minimum on a credit card purchase, so had to purchase additional item, not very friendly either, would recommend other watch repair stores
Affordable and efficient
