The team at Mobile Kangaroo was super responsive, professional and speedy. Their response time for each text we exchanged was under two minutes! I now have a new keyboard covered by Apple warranty—and all without going to Apple store. Very grateful to them for reducing the hassle of a computer repair.

After having my initial appointment cancelled with no explanation and two months of trying to get an appointment. I finally got one. I arrive on time and leave my phone, when i return two hours later I’m informed they didn’t have the part! It’s a cracked screen. You knew for two weeks about the appointment. Shame on you and a bigger shame on Apple for having nobody else to turn to for service. Way to be there for people during a national emergency...
My mac screen was cracked. Easy to set up an appointment and drop off. They were very communicative through each stage of the repair and had it fixed in under 3 days.

I went in their shop a few times, the attendant was so helpful with directing me to the best solution for my non working phone, I actually did not use their service in the end. I think that is a good thing, at least it shows they are honest and helpful..

Wow! During COVID-19 I got my laptop fixed in less than a week. My 13in MacBook Pro 2016 was having the dreaded stage lights effect, so I brought it in on Saturday. I live in SF, which is a little farther to deliver to, but since the purchase was covered because stage lights is Apple’s fault, I was able to only pay ~40 to deliver (I live outside the normal $15-20 range).All in all: Saturday-Wednesday service is great given the circumstances of COVID-19. Thanks Apple for covering the repair and thanks to Kangaroo for not having to give me the diagnostic fee.

They replaced the screen on my Samson S5 quickly. They had a spare screen in the shop and they gave me a loaner iPhone while it was being repaired. ( they normally only give loaners for iPhone repairs, so I was impressed ) it is a funky place, and parking is difficult. Its downtown Berkeley.
Sweet people but woefully understaffed and no “express-service/expediting” policy for working professionals who cannot afford to leave their computers in their offices for several days/an indeterminate period of time (??!!).I would’ve paid double for a diagnosis & fix by the end of the business day...but that wasn’t an option. Gave up & drove 70 miles to the nearest Apple Genius Bar that had a same-day appointment.
Chris helped me out at the Berkeley location. He fixed the screen in half an hour!! It works perfectly. I had forgotten to bring the new screen protector I bought so he said he would install it if I brought it in. Im really grateful for their help. I give it 5 stars
Honestly if youre in Berkeley a d youre looking for a place to fix your Mac and its an older version I recommend Fix That Mac over mobile Kangaroo. They take forever and honestly dont do the labor (they send it out)
While their website encourages that walk-ins are welcome, they are not. The parking in the area is horrendous, even early afternoon on a weekday and everywhere in the vicinity is pay-to-park. When I walked in, there was one person in the waiting area and the individual behind the counter let me know that they would be able to look at the issue that my iPhone was having (which ended up taking Apple 15 minutes to diagnose, since all was looking for was a quote) at some point before closing, 5 hours from when I walked in. I asked if I could wait an hour or so and get it looked at and was told, No. Unhappy with the experience. Will not be returning, even by appointment.
Mobile Kangaroo is the best Apple Authorized Service Center in Berkeley, do not trust on any other. They are expertise on Mobiles Apple and Androids, I had good experience with them, everything I have fixed with them everything is great and working so far. My Experience is good and is worth to try this shop.
Apple sent me there for a warranty covered keyboard replacement. Way way better than apple store. No wait. They ordered part, I kept the computer, they called me 2 days later and I dropped it off for 2 hrs. Apple store keeps the computer putting you out of business for a few days.
Damaged phone unrelated to repair. Poor workmanship. Refused to stand by work.-11 months ago I took my new Nexus 5x in for a screen replacement. The phone (and screen) were 100% functional, but there was a single crack in the display.-While repairing the screen, the store damaged the power button, resulting in the device no longer booting. They said theyd repair it free of charge since the damage occured during their repair (after some haggling, shockingly).-6 months later, the power button broke again. I took it back, had to argue more, but they agreed to repair it-5 months later, the power button broke **AGAIN**. I took it back. They stated the original repair (which was the result of their damage) was only temporary, not their fault, and theyd only fix it if I paid them $60 in additional labor.-I pulled the device apart, photos attached. The repair job was done so poorly that the button literally broke loose inside the housing. The button, contact pad, and liner between the button and display are damaged (see photos). There is also what appears to be heat damage from the repair on the side of the PCB and the chip heat shield. Completely unacceptable workmanship.TL;DR: Took in working phone. Got back permanently damaged phone. Had to buy a new phone.

Awful. Rude. Not helpful with a simple issue. The quick diagnostic said I needed my battery replaced. My MacBook even said I needed my battery replaced. It wasnt holding a charge. The tech said they wouldnt replace without running further tests for 2 days. I told them that was fine but I wanted them to order the battery now and I would pay for it and replace regardless if that was the issue or not. They refused to do this... I have no words.
I want to express how grateful I am to Josh. Back in early 2015 I brought my laptop in to MK because in the latter months of 2014, I would be in an office, appointment or even class and I would notice a roach crawling out of my bag. I was stuck in a dirty, dangerous roach infested Tenderloin type of hotel despite looking for clean, safe, affordable housing on cl for months. Obviously, This was embarrassing and disgusting even though I was the only one who noticed it.Without any hesitation, he opened it and there, under the keyboard was a large dead roach carcass stuck in some wires and 5 - 6 baby roaches scurrying away. He did not charge me for this. Thank you Josh. I genuinely appreciate your time, effort and expertise.
DO NOT COME HERE FOR COMPUTER REPAIR!It took close to 2 weeks for my computer to be repaired. (It was just a new hard drive install, it shouldnt have taken that long.)When I finally got the Mac the aluminum and glass were scratched and not flush with the edge. I called apple and they fixed their mistakes. Apple basically did an entire rebuild of my machine, new glass and aluminum, and that was done within 4 days.Save the hassle, take it to Apple.
Wow, dropped off my sons iPhone 5s at 10am with a shattered screen and got it back at noon in perfect shape. Friendly staff, convenient location. I hope I dont have to come back, but if something breaks Ill be here without hesitation.
Never said anything about diagnostic fee and when I came to pickup my laptop I ended up paying $65. But more than that, after their “ diagnostics “ I can’t even turn on my laptop. Needless to say this place is horrible.
RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!!!!!!LEAVE WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!!!!!!4 batteries installed for the same phone over a period of a week and a half.Battery 1: Failed to start phone, was on charge for much much longer than plenty of time.1 1/2 hours later..Battery 2: Worked for a week or so, charge diminished to worse than before, PLUS, the screen was flickering, like a low fps flicker. 10 fps? HORRID.100% battery down to 50% in less than an hour. A few minutes later, 15%, if it even got that far and didnt die at 35% like it started doing.Battery 3:At this point its just a complete joke.Battery 3 doesnt turn on the phone once again, and it was sitting on charge OVER NIGHT, AND waited at verizon store for 2 hours straight to see if it would turn on so they could do an upgrade. Couldnt, because it never turned on. I was stranded.The next day at 10:10 am..The shop guy finally shows up, and opens the doors, 10 minutes late.COMPLETE AND UTTER UNPROFESSIONALISM RIGHT THERE.Battery 4:Thank god, it has somewhat of a charge, enough to go to Apple.Thankfully apple was kind enough to give me a free phone in exchange, instead of charging me $75 for a new apple legitimate battery vs. a new phone, I get a free one, noting that they didnt know that I had 5 separate batteries in there in the period of a week and a half.The final cut:Kind Apple guy:Yes sir so we see that the battery is completely swelled up, so weve decided to give you a new phone for free instead.Final cut indeed.Mobile Kangaroo:Cost eaten: $50.Everything was warranted and they insisted on giving me a refund, but Im not that type of guy.Mucho Kiko man, (Kangaroo guy)hes got talent, but horrible and unusable products.He asked me basically not to tell anyone about his shop like the usual practice.Nah, save it for your next business.Bounce on out of here Mate.
My S4s active screen broke and I came here to replace it.Basically, they are the best at losing stuff inside and outside of the phone. They lost two of the rings covering some of the screws on the phone (I didnt mind since they were accessories and didnt affect its waterproofing).When I got back home with the phone, I noticed it wasnt closing properly, so I opened it and found out that they replaced a wire with another similar one from a different phone; the length of the wire was wrong so it took more space. (I replaced the wire)I just went swimming with the phone (S4 active is waterproof) and it got damaged; it doesnt charge from the USB anymore. I opened the phone and compared it with my brothers phone (who has the same exact phone) and apparently they didnt close a plastic cover that covered the USB so the water got in. The plastic USB cover gets closed by two screws. I assume they lost the two screws and didnt know what the plastic cover was.TL;DR they lost a lot of stuff from my phone including screws and a wire.
