They are one of the few auto service centers that I know of that still have real mechanics. Old 92 Buick that they had replaced ac components in 2017. Vehicle sat for a year with no use. I assumed the refrigerant had leak out. They diagnosed it and found a relay to be faulty. AC was all good. They took the time to actually work on it properly instead of just throwing parts at it. Cost very reasonable. Highly recommend.

My classic truck broke down on the side of the road. The tow driver suggested Tims Automotive, but I wasnt sure. I dont trust just anyone with my beloved Blue Belle. I finally agreed and Im glad I did. Shane and Tim were wonderful in every way - kind, easy to work with, knowledgeable (even about 40+ year old vehicles), took pride in their work, and were personable to boot. Plus, they didnt try to upsell me on anything and the final bill was less than I expected. If Blue Belle has any other mechanical problems, Ill definitely go to Tims.

Went in for electrical issues. 3 days later, they say bad alternator and charge $50 for ‘non-diagnosis’. Alternator had just been changed. Took to dealership, they found bad ground connection and that fixed everything. When I replied back on their failed diagnosis, Shane got belligerent with me. Never going back for incompetent service!

My clutch went out almost immediately after taking my car to Superior Mazda for an airbag recall. I drove probably less than 20 miles before the clutch started going out. Superior wouldnt acknowledge any responsibility and said it would cost almost $2000 to fix it. I didnt trust Superior, so I wanted another shop. Im from out of town, so some family who live locally recommended Tims. They fixed the car for under $500. I was very happy with their honesty and service.

I never used their towing services, but I have taken my cars to their shop for repair quite a few times. I would say that I am absolutely pleased with them. Firstly, I never felt that I am being taken for a ride here. I am very particular about the care I put on my cars, and try to get fixed if something is broken or does not appear right. More than one time, the guys in the shop told me that something could be fixed (cheaper option) without a need to get new parts and replace it. Wow! Never met a car mechanic elsewhere who lets go of an opportunity to sell something new, even though it is not required. One time, they polished the rotors when my brakes were squealing, telling me that would take care of the problem till the next service when they would actually work on getting new brake pads. One time, I had a cracked splash shield that they fixed for $50 (screws and manual labor included) instead of trying to sell me a new splash guard that itself sells for over $100. I feel that these guys are very honest.Another advantage of Tims is that the shop has very qualified mechanics, but their cost of labor and parts are substantially less than what you pay at places like Firestone or at the dealers. The guys at the counter will actually turn the computer screens towards you to show you what part you require, and you are welcome to research on the price yourself as well.These facts are all from my experience. I visit the shop with needs that are not covered by my vehicles warranty or extended warranty. I also trust them to the extent that I sometimes get a second opinion from their shop if I feel that my dealer is trying to oversell something during my regular maintenance and oil change visits. I have recommended Tims Automotive to many of my friends, and I recommend them here as well.

Fair and fast quality work

$300 and no fix!F-150 had multiple misfire codes. I ran the diagnostics and explained the codes to Tims. Tims re-ran the diagnostics for some reason and charged me 0.70 hours of labor to do so! This added $70 to my bill! The guys at AutoZone ran the diagnostics and researched a fix all within 5 minutes (and for free.)Total cost ended up being $300 for a fix that might work. They were hoping Id bring it back in for more work, but they wont have my business ever again. Regardless, Im $300 poorer with a truck that still has engine problems. Thanks, Tims!

Busted a control arm and brought it here to get a new one put on. After only a few hours of driving I felt the tire start to wobble. Got the tire off and found theyd failed to tighten a nut securely, and the new control arm was in danger of working itself loose. Edit: After learning of my issue Tim called and asked for the opportunity to put things right. They got my car in as soon as I got there and made sure no damage was caused by the loosened nut, and that it was now tightened securely. They also identified the wobble as a knot that had appeared on the opposite tire, entirely coincidental and unrelated to the previous issue or the work they performed. While the initial loose nut was unfortunate, its hard to say if or how it managed to work itself loose, and its possible it was a fluke. I wouldnt have any qualms about bringing my vehicle back here for additional service in the future.

This shop repaired my Chrysler Town & Country minivan. My minivan kept overheating and needed radiator fluid. The leak was not always visible and was not constant. I park or the concrete driveway in each night I would look underneath the vehicle and not see any sign of leakage. However I was always low on radiator fluid. Tim pressure checked the radiator and sure enough, he found that it was cracked. The fluid would leak out when the radiator was under pressure and the crack was opened up thus leaking the fluid. They replaced my radiator with a brand new radiator and honored my extended warranty that I purchased for a used vehicle costing me only my deductible of $50. They had it ready the very next day. I would recommend Tim for your Automotive needs

Cost was well below what we had expected, and turn around time was only 1 day for a pretty major repair.Took the second vehicle in the next week for similar issues, and got a similar results. First off, I am not quite sure what exactly caused the poor rating on the previous reviews. This group of mechanics are honest, fair, and will go above and beyond to take care of you. Since I moved back to town and found them they are the only mechanics and towing I will use if I can help it. Today I had to have my husbands car towed and Nick was amazing in taking care of my family. You are their customers but you are also their friend. We have had our cars towed a few times and will always call them. They tell you how it is and dont try to upsale you like other places I have been. They give you the best deal that they can and give you the run down of your situation in plain English. Everyone from Nick in the field towing, to the guys behind the counter, to Tim himself. Forget the other reviews and give these guys a chance. You wont use anyone else!

Finally an honest auto repair shop! Ive always felt like as a women auto repair shops treated me like I didnt know anything. I had brothers growing up that were into cars so I know more than even a lot of guys. I knew what was wrong with my car when I took it in and their diagnosis was exactly the same with no added emergency repairs to try to inflate the bill. In fact they looked the car over and did let me know about some potential wear and tear items that would need attention in the future but said No need to fix it right now, you probably have another 15k to 20k before it becomes an issue. I dont usually take the time to do reviews but was so thrilled to find an honest repair shop I wanted to spread the word.

This company is a SCAM!!!!! Do not let them tow your car or do any repairs. My step daughters car was involved in a wreck and she has been hospitalized. Me and her mom have tried to get the car out of impound and get her school books and meds out of the car and they will not allow us. We have the registration and proof of insurance with our address on it. They wanted my wife to pay for the tow, impound fee and sign the title over and give them the car!!!!!! HOW CRAZY IS THAT!!! Great repair service at a reasonable price

Keep throwing parts (money) at the problem until its fixed.My car would not start, Tims replaced the starter, had the exact same problem again within a few days, was told to bring it back in. Was also told if they found the problem to be something else besides the starter they had put on, there was nothing they could do about it. Trial and error is expensive...

Best people ever. Worked with us so that we could get a big car fix done on our budget. Love Tims!

I dropped my vehicle off to see what was wrong with my breaks. Six hours later, I called and asked for a ballpark amount it would cost to fix if it ended up being problem A or B. They told me and I asked them to call me back when they found out what the problem is. When they called back they told me that it was ready to pick up... I never asked them to fix it. I wanted their professional opinion on what the problem was and a price quote and from there I was going to compare prices around town.Needless to say, I was very disappointed with this shop and wont be returning.

Their towing services are expert and very reasonably priced. They came out right away and towed my car with no damage, preventing a major calamity. Highly recommended!

My dad told me about this shop because they did hotrod type of work, I was very excited to take my car there, they were very nice when we first went there and told me it would be about 500 dollars to fix my car, after they started working on it, they told me they had to order 60 dollar roller rocker nuts when my rockers were brand new, then they worked on it more. Not too long after they tell me my ecu and prom chip was fried, the car has not been started for a few months and had the battery out prior to them working on it, they said they put a 91 caprice ecu to test it and it was fine but mine worked until they worked on my car. So I bought a new chip and ecu for them to install, they wired it up and it didnt run right after that either, they took more of our time and money just looking at it to tell us later that our engine wiring harness is gone bad and that we can get my car, on their website it says they do auto electric but not for me. But if they could see it was bad how would they not know while wiring up my ecu? But either way when we got it back the fuel line was leaking tons of fuel on the back of my engine and my spark plug wires were also not in the right firing order. They were nice to us when we were there, I would never recommend or take any of mine or anyone else vehicle to that shop ever again. How can you be certified but not get a simple firing order right on a old small block Chevy? It ended up costing over 1500 dollars to get my car back that wasnt even fixed. My car ran worse than it has ever ran after I got it back from their shop. And now from another shop they tell me the ecu that tims said was bad is fine and not broke.

Worst experience ever!! Awful. Car wont start. They said nothing was wrong and need a tune up and quoted me $269 for a tune up. Actually paid $409 because labor was horribly expensive. Car died on my way home 10 minutes after from picking up at Tims Automotive. Took it back the same night. Waited for two weeks, no one called. I called them, turned out they lost my phone number. He said, there is nothing wrong with it. I drove it to run errands in Fayetteville and put over 50 miles on it and it drove just fine. These people drove my car to run errands!!!!!! This afternoon, I am sitting in the Walmart parking lot waiting for a tow truck because my car will NOT start! These people should not call themselves car mechanics!

If i could give zero stars i would. i took my 03 Silverado in to have 3 header bolts removed because i did not have a torch to heat the bolts to remove them. Tims auto repair told me they could get them out no problem at $85 an hour for labor. they broke the first bolt and needed $400 to finish the work. I feel they broke it to get more money when it should have cost $160 at tops. I use to recommend customers to these guys... never again. I wouldnt trust these guys to change a battery in my grandmas car. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING... THEY STILL CHARGED ME $30. that isnt right when you broke a bolt off costing me more money.

I give a good because the work they do is good. Dropped truck off on Tuesday and was told it would be ready by the next day. Waiting.... Waiting.... No call. So, I figured Id let them work because my problem was one that could have had some obstacles. By Thursday, still no call, so I called them and a minion answered the phone and, oooops; they just got it on the rack. So what happened to it being READY on Wednesday? Asked that in my head cause Im not a big confrontational person and I understand that things can get a little hectic around a shop, but I do, however, expect to be called back when I am told I am to be called back. 3 times I was told I would be called back and didnt hear from them till Friday evening when there was 15 mins left to go get it. LOL. Go there if you want but demand to be kept in the loop and if they tell you theyre gonna call you and they dont, call them till they get sick of hearing your voice.
