My extended family has been using Cardinal Fence for, at least, 20 years. I cannot understand what has happened to them. Either they sold out to a new owner or the firm has passed to a new generation in the family. The crew that came out to do the job was incredibly careless and did a very poor job. Disrespectful is a huge understatement. Their cleanup was nearly nothing and left a lot of work for us to do. Given what I know of my family and friends history, we cannot believe that this was the Cardinal we knew. We will never use them again and I cannot stress highly enough to look elsewhere. Keep in mind, the smooth-talking sales staff is NOT who is going to come out to your property.*** Here is an update for whomever replied as owner of this firm to my review. I do NOT live in San Francisco. I am simply there often times on business. I live quite close to THIS Cardinal Fence, in BENSENVILLE, IL. Also, my comments are completely accurate. My points seem so much more important that the owner would like to put his/her efforts into leaving misinformation online and down-playing comments like mine instead of running a proper business and hiring workers with any care, whatsoever, about others expectations or property.

The lady who I talked to on the phone had a bad attitude. I asked if they sold my email etc. All I got was a bad attitude. I would be fired if I did what she did.

Completely the worest service and company I have ever dealt with. Never ever do business with this people and they are rude and clearly do not how to operate as a business with zero customer service and clearly broken communication within the company. I would give it ZERO star if possible. Stay away and be warned. I will not tolerate threats or any unprofessional and being harassed with phone call with non sense when I asked to speak to some one who knows and can deal on professional manor such as the owner.

From the initial quote to the great communication over the past few months ahead of the install and the crew knocking out the project in less than three days, I highly recommend Cardinal for your fence needs!

Our fence is about 15 yrs old. We have already replaced 9 fence posts because they were falling over. I am currently working to fix the gate post which has frost heaved over the last 5 yrs. I have discovered the concrete footing was badly botched. From ground level going down about 18 inches there was no concrete on 3 sides. The post was placed so far off center of the hole they dug that where there was concrete 18 inches below the surface it was only about an inch thick on one side. It looks like they did not have enough concrete so after filling the bottom of the hole about a foot they packed in dirt then topped off with concrete so you couldnt tell.

Honestly I searched many companies, this was the best!! They always got back to me, have many options, the prices are extremely fair for the quality and value. I know I sound like someone that was paid to write this but i’m not. My sales person was Nancy. She was so patient with me and trust me I was probably a pain....sorry Nancy! lol Our fence just went up 2 days ago and all the neighbors are asking who did it. Give them a call. If you have to wait a few weeks because they are so busy it’s probably worth waiting.

After a big storm and tornado, i couldnt even get an entire fence replacement quote from this company. They obviously didnt want a new customer appearing to be unsympathetic to human strife. Would not recommend.

Cardinal Fence installed my new fence and I couldnt be more pleased. I was having a hard time getting a fence company to come out to my house but Cardinal came quick and on time. The estimator was great and quick and answered all of my questions. It was busy season so it took 2 months to get the fence installed but all fence companies that I talked too were out about same time. Couldnt be more happier with my experience and my yard looks great!

Beautiful fence and great service! They even took an extra precaution to make sure that my kids cant get through the gap between mine and the neighbors fence.Were very pleased. Thank you!

Unless you have a large job where they can make big profits, they wont come out to do smaller jobs. I was told I dont meet the $1200 minimum charge but the lowest estimate I received was $1765. Something isnt right here. I was referred to a smaller contractor to put my fence up by Cardinal. The guy came out acted like he would help and I never heard from him again. The whole experience was disappointing and unprofessional.
