My go-to when I need something done to my truck. The local shops often have 3-4 week waits while I can almost always get in within a week at Midas. The staff is super friendly and Vern is very honest about what needs to be done and why. They even provided me a loaner when the new A/C condenser was bad and needed to wait another day for a new one. I didnt even know Midas had loaners so that was very nice of them. I will definitely be continuing to be a repeat customer there.

I needed to get my serpentine belt replaced, and fast. I rely a lot on my vehicle for work and was worried Id have to miss time, seeing as everywhere I called seemed to booked for days. Midas was able to get me in first thing the next morning. I was in and out in under 2 hours and didnt miss a minute of work. Id highly recommend this Midas if youre in need of maintenance. 3pm on a Saturday every light in my dash lit up and my car overheated about a half mile away. I pulled in and expected to have to leave it. Not only did they get me in immediately, they were able to fix my car, showed me the broken part, and advised on next steps for a permanent fix. I could not be happier with the service they performed, and the customer service was the best Ive ever experienced at an auto shop. I even received a follow up call that night. Ill definitely be bringing my car back here for future maintenance.

I was initially disappointed after an oil change because my dipstick showed overfilling by about 1guart. When I called back they got me right in, fixed the problem, and did a very thorough inspection, which they allowed me to watch from just outside the garage. They checked and filled other fluid levels and explained everything as they worked. They even checked my rear differential level! The mechanic, DJ, was very professional and kind. Absolutely incredible service. I have never been to a mechanic that actually cares about not making you pay for something you dont need. I have taken my car there several times expecting to spend more, but they always help me save money while ensuring my vehicle is safe to drive. They even offered a loaner car to me if I needed it. I would give 10 stars out of 5 if I could. Best service in town. (and the best I have ever received in Vermont)

Very disheartening. Quote was way too much. Have gone elsewhere. AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE: I returned to mechanic that repaired back brakes and he only charged me $300 for front brakes vs. Midas quote of $700+ !!!!

I brought my car here for a state inspection, first experience with this Midas location.The waiting area was clean and comfortable.The staff was friendly and attentive.Making an appointment online was easy.They were quick, bringing my car in shortly after the appointment time.Their pricing is reasonable, and they have coupons online.Their location is easy to find, with plenty of parking.My car passed the inspection, but they also told me about some work I might want to do in a few months for preventative maintenance.Thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about this Midas location. My girlfriends daughter was trying to get home from NY to NH and her catalytic converter shut down. She could barely go 40 mph, couldnt get up hills, and had two mountains to cross to get home in the dark. From halfway across the country, I called this Midas knowing it was in her path to try to get home. With an hour until closing time Christie *sp* got the information from me, called the parts house and had parts waiting by the time she made it to Bennington. The technician called me to let me know the O2 sensor might not be able to be reused, but he would try. I told him the bottom line was we needed to get this girl back on the road whatever it took. I was halfway across the country. He could have told me he couldnt reuse the O2 sensor and charged me an extra $150.00, but thats not what happened. He made the old one work, they got her back on the road in less than an hour, and two hours later she was home safely. The next morning I got a follow-up call to make sure we were happy with the repairs. Thank you Christie *sp* and the Midas techs. Im sorry I cant remember your name.

People are honest and quick

I cant say enough about how great the service was, I called in at 10:30 a.m. on a Monday and told them I had broken down out of town and that the alternator needed replaced. I had the tools to do it myself but I couldnt get to the tensioner pulley, so I had my car towed over to Midas in about eleven-thirty a.m., I told them that I wanted the car to be done as quickly as possible because if it wasnt done that day I would have to pay for another night at a hotel. By 2:30 the car was done. I already purchased the parts so I was only charged labor. they didnt take advantage of the fact that I was out of town or try to price gouge me. Thank You

Vern and his crew are fabulous! More than once they have squeezed me in while Ive been in town visiting, and other times I am sure to make an appointment if I know Ill be in need of servicing. Theyre dedicated and honest about the work they offer/perform. If you havent used them youre missing out on one of the best.

I only got an oil change, but the people were super nice and friendly and they got me in last minute. The only down fall was the cost but I didnt think it was outrageous. So over all a good visit!

Over priced from what I have heard..

The Midas in Bennington Vermont had a home like feel. The workers there were very accommodating and very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Superb customer service, attention to details and great service on top of that. President of the place- Mr. McGuire is one of the most knowledgeable and considerate people I have ever met. Awesome experience overall, I highly recommend this place for all your vehicle needs.

This place is awesome, the staff is fantastic. I can make an appointment on line and get in same day most times. I feel very comfortable here, no one is trying to sell me more than what Im there for and that matters to me.

Midas is my go to for just about all of my car concerns. Service is excellent, and I love that they let me know what I might be looking at down the road. Honesty is what its all about, and I trust them to keep my car in good order for my long commutes. I cannot praise them enough. Always a job well done.

Verne, the owner, always tries to do the best he can by you. Its a little expensive to have work done there but Verne has never lied to me about what needs to be done. The quality of the work is excellent.

We all know that BAD car repair jobs happen a lot...but this is one of those shops where they get it RIGHT. They really care about their customers, have very good mechanics working here, are priced right and are managed very professionally. I heartily recommend them for any work!

Called for doing rotors and brakes full round, about 900 dollars for a 2013 hyundai elantra. Found a place in NY, paid 425 dollars for ceramic pads, new rotors and received 2 year warranty. Do your research before utilizing services here since they try a tier level service package approach.

I had squeaky brakes and Vern inspected them cleaned, and they run great. Only charges $49. There are some umscrupulous outfits who would have taken advantage, not this place. Most Highly Recommended.

Excellent service. I had driven my little 1997 Honda to Bennington all the way from Metro Detroit, and its muffler (which had been patched a couple of times already) decided to give out on us thanks to the hilly terrain. The people behind the counter were friendly, and they were able to get us in and on the road again quick. Someone from this shop called me a day later, asking me how things were doing and if I had any questions. Best costumer service.

They take me into the garage and show me what the issue(s) are and give me full explanations about the whys, whens and hows. Ive been a customer for years now and they treat me like a good friend. I have been using Midas since I moved to Bennington in March 2001. They have always taken care of me and my cars. Not only do they do great work but they will let me know what can wait for work, knowing I am on a tight budget and may not be able to afford it all at once. I recommend them to everyone.

I was very pleased with the service. I dropped my daughters 2013 Civic off while I was working and they confirmed what I thought was wrong (front wheel bearing). They quoted me a decent price and called me when the work was done. I found what I thought might be an error on the bill because it was different than the quote and they promptly changed it back even though an admittedly old brake rotor cracked while they were doing the wheel bearing and they had to replace it. So they threw in the rotor for free. Very fair. I will definitely return.

On the way to catching a flight we had trouble with an alternator we had installed a week earlier and luck brought us to this Midas. At 1:30 on a Saturday they found an alternator for an 1983 Vanagon close by. A minor miracle. They installed it and found out the previous mechanic had not transferred a keyway which caused the previous alternator to burn out. They contacted every part supplier and found a keyway. They had us back on the road at 4:30 and we made our flight. We wish we could give them 10 stars

Today was my un expected repair ...Toyota Camry. Yes I knew I had a flex pipe issue failing well today it went, part of the exhaust system fell off. I limped back to Bennington Vermont . Arrived early afternoon .By mid afternoon and a payment plan I was on my way. Ready for work for the next day. I used to live at 141 Northsisde Drive 1963-82. House was raised and midas was built over 35 years of service on the flats . Thank you Mike Joe and everyone for understanding my issue. Sam .
