We loved staying at Hygee Harmony. The house is so charming with most wood floors throughout most of the house. The kitchen cabinets are so cute. The kitchen was especially well stocked with dishes and utensils. The backyard was so relaxing, fell asleep twice while reading my book. The location is close the some great dining options on Galveston and a very short walk to our favorite restaurants in the downtown area.
We were traveling to Bend and Crater Lake area and this place was absolutely amazing! Very modern house full of stunning equipment, hot tub, paddle boards, bikes, all inclusive 🤩 We’ve enjoyed our time here a lot and will definitely come again in the future!! This house is also great for smaller groups as it provides lot of space and bedrooms! Lovely, amazing, highly recommended!! ♥️♥️
My husband and one-year old stayed at Big Lava for 3 nights on a weekend in September. It is advertised as a brand new home, however, it definitely shows signs its been lived in and signs that people have come and gone. It was advertised as having a high chair, which I inquired to confirm prior to my arrival. When we arrived, the high chair provided was one like provided at a restaurant (wood basic chair) with no tray. Usually, this would work just fine for us, however, all the table surfaces were bar stool height, including the dinning room table. We wish this was disclosed to us seeing that we inquired about it prior to the trip and we would have brought an alternative high chair counter attachment with us. We also experienced quite a few bugs and spiders in the home. I took photos and sent to the mgmt. I was told that this was common for the time of year. Ironically, prior to our most recent move, we have lived in Central Oregon, and in general, have been PNW residence for 20+ years, and the collection of bugs we encountered did not seem like the typical time of year bug situation. They also stated that because of Covid they do extra cleaning and are extra careful, and therefore we were instructed, at the end of our stay, to strip the beds and bag the linens and towels, etc in 3 designated provided bags. Which is fine, but my one year old daughter while sitting on the couch came across a vape or smoking pen of some sort and old receipts from past stays. A little disconcerting on many levels, but left us puzzled if in fact a deep clean actually occurred. Overall, we had a fine stay, but considering the cost and weighing if it matches the value, Im unsure that it did.
We stayed in the Hillside Loft for five nights in August 2021. It was a great experience. The rental unit was cozy, comfortable and clean. It looked and felt brand new. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the full kitchen with lots of cooking pots and pans and plenty of utensils and supplies. Having a dishwasher and a microwave was great. We appreciated the bath/shower soaps, lotions and shampoo. Nice touch! Even though the unit does not permit pets, every dog owner in the neighborhood brought their pooches to the grassy Hillside Park right across the street. Its a super friendly neighborhood. We arrived during an extreme heat wave and dangerously unhealthy smoky air from all the wildfires burning on the West coast...so it was a real lifesaver to have air conditioning and a ceiling fan in the unit. They kept us cool inside and kept the smoke and ash in the air from coming inside. It almost goes without saying that, since the unit is over a garage, youll hear the garage door opening and closing and cars coming and going down below. It wasnt really a big deal but we noticed that the people living in the adjacent house seemed to leave for work very early in the morning. We had great communication with the Stones Throw staff prior to our arrival and during our stay. They are well organized and very professional...it was a pleasure to stay here. Well definitely come back here or choose another one of their rental properties when we return to Bend.
Vintage Awbrey was a delightful bungalow. Dont be misled and think Vintage means old - not at all. Quaint decorations with all the modern conveniences you want. We walked everywhere in downtown Bend - made possible by one of the great perks of this agency: walking guides to restaurants, stores, breweries and more. Everything you could want to explore Bend. Finally the hot tub was a luxury to enjoy at the end of every day. Check out their rentals - you will be delighted!
We had a lovely stay at Sunflower Cottage! It was cozy but didnt feel small and has a great open kitchen space. The location turned out to be really perfect, with an EV charging station just over the river and most of our favorite eateries in a 10-20 min walking distance. The house had an ample supply of towels, including for the kitchen, and essentials like toilet paper and tissue. I really appreciated the eco-friendly products with low or no scent. We ate a few meals out back when the weather was good and found everything we needed in the kitchen for the cooking we did. The house was super clean, bright, with nice updates. The management was proactive with reaching out to see if we needed anything and really responsive when I asked a question. I would definitely stay there again and have rented many times with A Stones Throw Bungalow.
We had the best time at Stones Throw Bungalow here in Bend! Located in the heart of downtown, with plenty of walking distance options, comfortable out door seating, and that home away from home feel. I couldnt recommend this house enough for an enjoyable, high desert experience and getaway. Cheers!
The team is very responsive! The location, amenities and yard are perfect for a Bend family get-away all together! (Lovely but unpretentious home - needs a bit more air conditioning at the Bernard Justice house but hopefully thats an easy fix). Great team and good communication!
The house was perfect. Cute decor, well appointed kitchen, perfect location. The laminated instructions on how to use the TV and air-conditioning units was helpful. Someone came to clean the spa and take out the trash each week. And it was easy to communicate with the property managers. I highly recommend.
My wife and I booked a week long AirBnB.Unfortunately we had two issues that occurred. My wife got Covid and our old dog bit myself and our other dog. Because of the bites and his age we had to put him down. After having our old dog for 13 years, it was absolutely devastating...My wife messaged Diana right away “a week” before we arrived due to her illness and the unfortunate end of life decision we had to make to put our dog down and her response was “you should pick a more flexible cancellation policy next time”.Not only was her response tasteless and unprofessional in every aspect they also kept our $543.11 deposit AFTER rebooking the same dates we had booked so the company received double the money. Here we are in a pandemic, my wife’s illness kept her in bed for a week and we had put our beloved family member down. I will tell everybody I know to never do business with this cold hearted company. They asked for proof so I have our dogs ashes below and WILL NOT supply my wife’s medical records because this is and would be a Hippa violation of our personal rights. Before your company or the employees who represent your company makes request for medical records you should read through the CDC guidelines and probably have a discussion with your legal team. I will be getting my attorneys involved if we do not receive our deposit back.I’ll be waiting for your response,Justin Padleski
We had a wonderful time staying at our A Stone’s Throw Bungalow home. It had every thing we needed and was so clean and convenient to everything! We’ll definitely use A Stones Throw Bungalow again!
Our bridal weekend with six gals were extremely comfortable in the bungalow on Delaware. We really recommend this home. Thank you
Nice property some feedback service issues. Walkable to town. 2 bedroom 2 bath remodeled. Great home base is Bend. Enjoyed rental.1. Couch is not pull out. Cushions are attached and can’t be removed so tough sleeping spot. No sheets/blankets provided. Delivered linens on assertive request2. Air conditioning is not in bedrooms. Not central AC buy a loud 2x3 window unit. Bedrooms were hot3. AC unit stopped working 2x. Had to get rather pushy and persistent to get them to fix it. That was a disappointment. It was about 80. Before heat wave. I doubt the AC would work in heat wave. At 80 the kitchen and living rooms were comfortable. Bedrooms were warm even with ceiling fans and doors open to living room with AC running4 bedrooms had loud dehumidifiers. So loud units running in all rooms. Not sure if their purpose since it’s dry summer i did not like all the loud machines and would rent a regular cebtral air unit5. Cute property has all needs. One coffee pod then after that you need to provide your own coffee6 laundry soap provided7 shampoo, conditioner soap provided8 aggressive driveway. If you get nervous driving it’s not for you. We had absolutely no issue with it.
Very nice, clean place, quiet, and great location in Bend! Easy to find from Highway 20 and easy access to Mt. Bachelor. We enjoyed walking downtown and around the neighborhood with our dog. The apres ski hot tub was nice too! The property owners were awesome to work with and very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here!
Everything was perfect and we truly enjoyed our stay. We loved riding bikes from Bend Electric Bikes and swimming in the river. Thank you for the comforts and quality in all the household furnishings.
The Branch and Thistle is a real treasure - perfect location, tastefully appointed, very nice outdoor amenities. Would definitely stay here on a future visit to Bend.
Great vacation cottage with all the amenities you would need for a nice get-away. Perfect location, walking distance to several coffee shops, brew pubs and restaurants. The beat jumping off spot to head to Mt. Bachelor, mountain bike trails, golf courses, or shopping at the Old Mill District. We will DEFINITELY rent this house again!
Had a great experience with their rental in Bend. Everything in the house was clean, well stocked. We had a great time. Id use them again.
A nice little home (sleeps 4) in a nice neighborhood close to downtown and walkable distance to all activities.
A lovely two bedroom cottage in the heart of historic Bend. walking distance to pubs and restaurants. the place had the charm and personality of someones home and a thoroughly equipped kitchen. We would return to this place and we really enjoyed our first visit to Bend.
This is the perfect place for staying in Bend. AC, location, very clean, has all the supplies you need, grill, great bathroom.
We stayed a week at the Khaya and absolutely loved the place. It was clean and modern and cozy and perfectly located close to everything. The owners were friendly and understanding when we had to make some changes to our reservation. Check-in and check-out were seamless. This will be the first place we check for accommodations next time we go to Bend.
Beautiful well maintained clean home. Convenient to Bend main streets (walkable from home).
Green Gables was perfect for our family of four for our get away to beautiful Bend. The house was spotless and in a perfect and super quiet location. The kitchen was stocked perfectly and the backyard patio was really nice to sit back and enjoy in for either a cup of tea in the morning or to barbecue in the evening. We really appreciated the layout of the house allowing for everyone to have some privacy during remote learning and working and just for hanging out. Thank you to A Stones Throw Bungalow Team for checking in to make sure all was going well with our stay. I highly recommend!
We had a very comfortable stay here. The house had everything we needed, comfortable, and dog friendly. Great location. Everything was perfect!
The Basalt is a comfortable house to stay! We had a lot of smoke during our stay in Bend, but the forced air and AC kept the house temps nice without smelling like smoke. The location great! We love the westside for being closer to trails at Phils Complex, local breweries, restaurants, and Newport Market! The staff at Three Stones were great checking in on us and answering our questions about the conditions before we arrived, offer to shift our reservation, and made sure we arrived safely. We rented from them in the past and I definitely continue to use their services next time were planning to return to Bend again.
We loved the Thistle and Branch house in downtown Bend! Very cozy and cute decorations with a hot tub and ping pong table. Definitely would stay here again.
Thank you for a great stay! The Vintage Awbrey had everything we needed for our family of 4 and a great location. The hot tub felt great after our days on Mt. Bachelor!
The bungalow was the perfect place for my young family to stay during our first visit to Bend, Oregon. It is within easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants we could have possibly desired! Even my preschool-aged child kept up in our walks and bike rides. The bicycles in the shed were perfect and one week in Bend was enough to get me back into biking as an adult. The home was clean and had every thing we needed to be comfortable. I forgot to pack coffee so I appreciated the complimentary coffee and filters! The portable AC kept the home comfortable in the summer heat. I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings to watch the world go by. I accidentally left my luggage when we left to go home to Washington state and they were very quick to reach out to me and arrange for it’s return. We will definitely be back!
This place met all our needs. Well provisioned, central and walkable, clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay her again when things open up.
Great place for a great price. We stayed at Casa Sol and it had all amenities that we couldve asked for-- not to mention its walking distance from Drake Park and DT. I would recommend to anyone looking to for a great spot in Bend during the summer. Cant wait to come back and stay here in the winter!
Location - awesome! Cleanliness- awesome! Beds - awesome! Attention to us and to the details - awesome! I have stayed in many short term rentals and the experience these women have put together is high on my list!!
We’ve stayed with A Stones Throw in the past and this was another great stay! Bend is a favorite escape for our family of four. We’ll be back again.
We stayed at the Basalt Bungalow. It was perfect! Clean and well stocked. Within walking distance to downtown, Drake Park, Newport grocery and my favorite bakery, Nancy P’s. Very, very pet friendly-nice fenced yard. They even provide sheet(s) to cover the couch if your dog likes to sleep on it instead of dog bed - I didn’t have to pack any (our dog won’t jump on human beds, but loves the human couch)!!
Very nice place to stay! Quiet neighborhood yet easy to walk to town!
Fantastic vacation rental. The location is superb. We walked and rode bikes EVERYWHERE. Great food and markets nearby. Jackson’s Corner has the best chocolate chip cookies and it’s only a block away. The house was clean and exactly as described. Perfect for families with teenagers. Our kids lived in the downstairs area. They even had their own little kitchenette. Great hot tub. Great yard.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Big Lava in Bend. It was in the perfect location and the house was beautiful! We were able to see elk and deer from the outside patio as we sipped our coffee. The house was stocked with everything we needed which made our trip easy and enjoyable. Would definitely book again next time we visit Bend! The hosts were communicative and did everything they could to make sure our trip was perfect!
Great place to stay for our ski trip to Bend. Very cute and cozy house in a wonderful location!
Branch and Thistle is a great little place located two blocks off of Galveston Avenue and a couple great breweries, 10 Barrel and Sunriver Brewery. Close to downtown and the river. House supplied tubes for rafting were a nice surprise. This was our second stay and not our last. Bend is amazing!
Perfect cozy cottage for our family to get away for a long weekend of hiking, patio dining, and other pandemic friendly pursuits. Appreciate the responsiveness of owners and the cleaning protocols in place. We would rent here again.
The Vintage Awbrey is great house. I highly recommend it if you’re traveling to Bend. Hot tub, bikes, fire place, and the location made the stay excellent.
We stayed at Khaya for six weeks in Bend this fall, which A Stones Throw bills as eco-conscious luxury. We would not stay there again if we had another option. This was an extremely noisy location, with trucks from the grocery store audible first thing in the morning, and weekly late-night parties with bonfires outside at a neighbors house across the way, despite COVID restrictions on gatherings. We were sort of hoping that noise wouldnt be an issue, given that the building is relatively new construction. But there is little meaningful sound insulation on the second floor. Probably fine if youre just there for a weekend but we dont recommend it for a longer stay. The noise issues obviously are not entirely within the control of the rental agency. But we had more than a few issues that were: In our first days there, we put the rug from the master bedroom outside because it had not been adequately washed after the last persons pets. There were visible signs of unwashed dog shit and vomit. This was not the only cleaning issue we experienced. We managed to get A Stones Throw to comp a cleaning mid-stay (thank you! that was much appreciated!) but their cleaner suggested we should have avoided a pet-friendly place if we didnt like the fact that there were mounds of dog hair underneath the dresser that had never been vacuumed. Just because we didnt have pets of our own on this stay doesnt mean I dont want the place adequately cleaned after the last folks! The house itself is kind of a design fail. Just try opening a window: the screen, which opens inward, is likely to catch on a shade hung incorrectly and too low, and when you get to the actual window, it might be blocked by something like the HVAC vent outside. The kitchen window screens, for instance, get caught on the faucet when you try to open them. There was a nice attempt to have heated flooring but if you run the heat for any of the other bedrooms, it overheats the master one. Lots of other small issues like that.Again, if we had been here just a couple of nights, it probably wouldnt have been too bad. But every day brought a new problem there, and we only reported about half of them. Someone should take the time to live there for a while and work on making this luxury house more genuinely functional, and also more legitimately eco -- having solar panels on the roof means little when half the appliances inside run on gas, and the place isnt even subscribed to the citys compost system. We ended up paying to take our compost to a county transfer station. Cest la vie. There are worse problems to have in the world. But there are also better places to stay in Bend.
Beautiful house located in the perfect spot for those visiting Bend. It is close to downtown, the river and many fun breweries. House was clean, well furnished and has a great outside area. Wish we could have stayed longer!!
Very responsive and professional. Thank you.
Good accommodations...lots of amenities. Close proximity to the old mill district
Very cozy clean great location 😊
We loved staying here! Best location, super clean and comfortable. Loved the hot tub and the management was super responsive and helpful! Stay here!
The place we rented was great and the was excellent communication with A Stones Throw.
Hi Brook, Mara & Diana,We arrived at Branch + Thistle yesterday afternoon and all of us have so appreciated how much thought and care you have put into the condition and amenities of this home. Everything is clean, well curated, works perfectly and the little details are laid out just right. These things hit home for us as my wife and I own and manage a beach vacation rental back home and do our best to offer the same quality of stay. I’ve said to myself multiple times since being here, “oh, that was thoughtful”. So, thank you so much for your efforts in helping to make this a fabulous family vacation!
Wow! What a fun time we had staying here. We were in town for a week celebrating our daughters 16th bday. We had never stayed in Bend but so happy we took the time to give it a try. There were 5 of us with plenty of room to spread out. We stayed up late every night playing cards around the kitchen table and enjoyed the Jacuzzi after our adventures of bike rides and renting jet skies on the lake. Close enough to float the river and also walk to dinner and coffee shops. We walked to Safeway one day which is a nice easy walk as well. Dont miss out on the coffee shop next to Dutch Bros. called Ketiva. Its owned but a great couple and family run. They have AMAZING gluten free treats. I would stay in this house again and again. Clean, spacious, well stocked and friendly quick to reply people who run it. Dont miss this place!!!
We had a great time here over 4th of July holiday .The location is superb- walking distance from anything one could want including the river and lake and park and food trucks and brew pubs and veg market and gourmet meats and açaí bowls and bagels and coffee and local market and taco stand - list goes on and on .House is very well appointed with a pretty front yard and Comfy back yardWe bbq’d, used the hot tub, played board games and walked all over town . The provided cruisers made for fun biking expeditions and we used the floaty for a river float .Diana from the management company was responsive and took care of some minor issues .We slept well and were very happy here and hope to come back soon .
Outstanding customer service! The best rentals- can’t wait to stay in their Bungalow in Bend!Thank you Diana for your kindness and professionalism. 💜
We had a fabulous stay at one of the Stone’s Throw properties. We highly recommend their service when staying in Bend.
This was an amazing house! Mara and Diana were very responsive to our needs and the house was spotless!
We stayed at the Sunflower cottage and it was PERFECT! It really was beyond my expectations! We had everything we needed, it was CLEAN, and it was very cozy. This particular home was close to downtown. I would definitely recommend them. I will be staying there again in the future.
This vacation rental agency is actively renting homes in westside neighborhoods of Bend during the COVID pandemic. Guests are coming from out state and seeking recreation here - which is explicitly forbidden in the governor’s stay at home order. Shame on this company for putting profit over people. There are front line workers risking their life for this community. Please immediately stop all vacation rentals. The guests are not following social distancing protocols and are putting everyone at risk.
We had a wonderful stay at our cottage in Bend.
My family and I stayed at both the Vintage Awbrey and Casa Luna houses. Both were fantastic. The Stone’s Throw team was professional, fast to respond to our needs and easy to communicate with. A class act.
Good people, nice houses
