This was my first experience here for a pedicure. I am extremely sensitive due to fibromyalgia and Liz was fantastic! She was very gentle, helpful with color and friendly.It lives up to its name - what a beautiful place!It is close by and I look forward to going back.

I have gone to Ambiance since it opened. I am a picky person and never really found a nail place I loved before going to see Cindy. Her salon is Zen beautiful and she is by far the best nail person I have seen to date, perfect nails every time. You do need to book an appointment because they are busy but I give Ambiance the highest possible rating!!!Joan Boyd

I have been going to Cindy for almost 15 years. Every one is very nice. I have never had a single complaint from gels to pedi and waxing. When I go in I sit down and tell them do whatever they want and have never been disappointed.

They were accommodating and they offered a coupon on Yelp. The only thing that wasnt up to my satisfaction which is why I didnt give them 5 stars as they have a very limited selection of gel colors and it was hard to find what I was looking for. Kim was very thorough once I found the polish that I wanted in putting on the top coat of the sparkle glitter I chose, but it took an extra long time because I dont think she was well used to working with glitter polish

Its been a long time that I looked forward to going to a place to have my nails done as opposed to just got to have them done. Great place to feel relaxed and great customer service so you feel like your getting a spa experience. You come out with perfect nails and wonderful relaxed time.

I went there once. The lady was too rough. She managed to buff so hard and fast underneath my nails, that she pierced into my skin. Its as if she was in a rush.

This is one of my favorite places to get my nails done. It really does have the best ambience in San Mateo in my opinion

I’ve been going here every month for as long as they’ve been in this location and a bit before! It’s clean, it’s relaxing, and it’s a good value for the wonderful pedicure you get. I’ve never been unhappy with a single detail.

Dont judge this book by its cover (storefront)Once inside, surprise! The place is super spacious with more of a lounge/spa feel than any nail salon with these prices. No artificial nail odor at all when I was there. Very nice technician, great job on my Mani. * Call ahead of time

The first visit is the best. You walk in the door expecting the all-too-familiar nail salon: the cramped space, the smell, the noisy foreign chatter. But then, you stop in your tracks -- stunned by the floor-to-ceiling exotic asian art. Big art. Real art. You can’t stop starring.You can relax here. Light, beautiful jazz-y music envelops you. The ladies are sublime; their work is impeccable. Cindy, the owner, floats by periodically, keeping an eye.Treat yourself.

Ive been getting my nails done by Cindy and her staff for years. Ive never had a bad experience and my nails are always beautiful. They take care to allow proper time for drying with many drying stations and they offer flip flops for those days when Ive forgotten my sandals. Cindy always has an awesome selection of colors and she and her staff are always happy to help you select the right polish.This salon is absolutely calm and relaxing. The artwork is breathtaking, especially her husbands paintings. The pagodas over the nail stations and pedicure chairs are charming. Best of all, of course, is that this salon is SPOTLESS.Love Ambience and cant wait to get back for my next mani/pedi!

Has OPEN sign on, but doesnt take walk in just because they will close in the next 30 minutes.Always never available for walk ins or availability in the next week or two.Doesnt understand what accommodation means.
