I can say that this shop and the people that work for it and that repaired and fixed my vehicle and the problem, we’re extremely professional,kind,knowledgeable, punctual, and very friendly. Starting with the front desk and Izzy. She was very friendly, and kind. She took time to explain and let me know when it will get done, how long it would roughly take, and the rough estimate. To my pleasant surprise, I got the call earlier then I expected. She told me it was lot easier than they originally thought. They did not charge me for the labor or parts, and I was on my way. I wanna take this opportunity to thank once more the mechanics that were involved and specifically Izzy for all their help and kindness. I would recommend this shop strongly. Hats off.

We went there with no Appt after we needed a battery installed immediately during a wedding weekend (not typical install, our vehicle had a fuse box on top of battery and Auto Zone refused to install new battery as such). They fit us right in and had it done within a couple hours. Highly recommend Joe’s.

Fit me into their schedule last minute, confused about the oil change though because they said I needed it really badly but I had gotten one 48 days prior and had ~2000 miles left until I needed to get another oil change.. otherwise very speedy and accommodating and great customer service 👍

Joe’s seems like an honest, hardworking shop to me. Refreshing, really. It was my first time getting work done there and they got my oil leak taken care of quickly and I’m pretty sure, for a fair price.

I needed my splash guard replaced and Joes was able to schedule me an appointment on the same day I called. Because I had purchased the new guard ahead of time, they did the replacement within two hours.Ive also had my alternator replaced by them in the past, and they were equally quick and professional. I know next to nothing about cars, but theyre so kind and happy to answer any questions.

Just got here from Alaska passing through. They were so kind and understanding and managed to squeeze me in for an oil change so that I could be on my way. Very friendly service. I recommend.

I had my oil changed. They say you get a tire rotation and break inspection with every service. I know this didnt happen because I had a low tire in the front left and it didnt move or get aired up.40 miles after I left, check engine light. I pulled over and felt under my car my hand was covered in oil. I called them they towed it in leaving me stranded with no offer of help to get home. They called and told me there was no leak, their tech just felt my car filthy and the check engine light was a coincidence. My car does run but I wont be back. Update, 1 week later now my car has leaked all the oil out again. This is unacceptable. I have no clue what I am to do now. My car is in worse shape then ever and I live in maple falls.

Had an excellent experience with these guys, they were fast, were able to accommodate me during the busy summer when I couldn’t get anybody else in town to help me.Customer service was excellent, they even called the Honda dealership so they could re-connect my radio properly and my CD player even works again, it hadn’t worked for years !Would highly recommend this business !

Izzy is an ANGEL. Ive had a couple of services done here, one for my Chevy and another for my Toyota. Both were quick and efficient. You can schedule your appointments online and they even showed me photos of the leaks/damaged parts!Recently had the nightmare of my transmission going out on my Toyota and had the car towed to Joes. Went back and forth with a few different servicers on prices and timelines and ultimately decided to go with someone else, but Joes let me leave my car on their lot for two weeks without hesitation.Thank you guys for being so kind and helpful!

Brought in a Lexus 96 es300 for a post purchase inspection. Affordable and they confirmed and found problems that I suspected. Got a quote for each repair and I asked for them to repair motor mount and CV axle. Good price and communication with front office.

Im new to Bellingham and saw good reviews for Joes and decided to try them. BIG MISTAKE! I took my Jeep in for an oil change and to repair a small oil leak. Brought my Jeep home with a much bigger leak! When I took it back to them they said it wasnt oil leaking and that they would call me to set up a appointment to fix it again. They never called which was fine with me since I lost trust with them at that point. I took it to another shop in town who fixed the oil leak and told me my oil cap was damaged and may have to be destroyed in order to remove it. No one had ever said that to me before so Im assuming that is thanks to Joes as well. Overall bad experience.

Edited to add since they responded to my review:I was told not to drive it. That the transmission needed to be fixed asap. My 2 star rating is now a 1 star rating because they didnt acknowledge that they didnt check the fluid or tell me that was one of the problems.-----------------I had taken my cars here for a couple years. I loved them, thought they had my best interest. They told me my transmission was going out and it was expensive. Two other mechanics looked at it and all it needed was transmission fluid and a tune up. Get a second opinion.

First off this mechanic shop let me book my appointment via email (you do it through the website) which for me was such a time saver. I got a reply back very quickly too, so very accessible.About two months ago I took my car in due to problems with a serpentine belt and possible brake issues. I had asked first for my oil to be changed (overdue because of COVID) and then for any issues to be diagnosed and for an cost estimate to be put together so I can decide what can be done today. I got exactly what I had asked for and nothing was done to my car without my permission and the cost being explained to me.Fair warning, this isnt the place to go to if you are looking for a twenty or thirty dollar oil change real quick, there are places in Bellingham that will do that. I think my oil change was about 55 dollars but I think was well worth it.I felt like my concerns were heard and what I wanted was listened too. I think I received a very fair price for the services rendered, when I did some google search and put an estimate together for how much the average cost of all of my services, Joes estimate and my google estimate were within 100 bucks of each other. I am happy to say my car is still running amazing. I am super happy with the value and the quality of the services I received and I was treated really well to boot. I fully intend to keep going back to Joes for all of my car maintenance needs.Also Full Disclosure: I posted this in the wrong place and just realized it yesterday, thats why this post is two months late to the review.

Being in Maryland I relied on Joes Automotive Repair to perform a thorough inspection of a vehicle Im purchasing. Their assessment, photos and professionalism EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS! I especially appreciate Izzys personal touch of the additional photos; drawing close attention to detail of minor imperfections not previously known to me.

I had to replace the Optispark, Water pump, Heater core Assy. hose, and AC Compressor in my 1994 Z28 Camaro. The people at Joes professionally rebuilt everything, and charged me less than the estimate ! We were out of town on vacation needing car repairs ASAP & didnt know where to go for help. Shannon & Izzy, running the office, could not have been more wonderful! The mechanic squeezed us in & explained clearly what the problems were. Our older Volvo left driving perfectly. I even had a chance to meet Joe.Joes Automotive smoothed out what could have progressed into a very stressful situation. The 5 star rating doesnt seem high enough. Every time I come in, they are super friendly, transparent, and empathetic to my situation. They explain what does and doesnt need to be done, and why each decision is important. Justin is very clear in setting expectations and making room for you if you have an emergency. I have been looking for a fair mechanic that does great work, and I have been VERY SATISFIED with both cars we have had worked on there. 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2011 Ford Escape.No one wants to take their car to the shop for work, but knowing Im taking it to Joes Automotive makes it way less stressful! Give them a try!!Follow up: I have gone in again with the Jeep on a Oil issue and they fixed it for me super fast, explained everything, very cost effective and overall awesome. Love this mechanic!

First time, but definitely not last time, customer. I made an appointment online, brought the car in at 9 am on the day of the appointment. We had a pretty good idea of what was wrong and also what we thought the cost would be to fix it. They called shortly after and told us they could fix it that day, for about 30% less than we estimated! Absolutely great service, highly recommend them.

I used to take my truck to the local Ford dealer but looked for an alternative after getting slow and poor service. Joes has been able to get my truck in and out very quickly... usually the day after I call. They diagnose and make the fixes quickly. Very friendly and professional customer service as well.

Joes Automotive is awesome. I called and talked to Justin late afternoon on a Friday, explained what I thought was going on with my car. He was very gracious and told me to bring it in Sat morning. I was there when they opened at 8am and the car was fixed by 11:30am! The price was reasonable and the service was great. Im definitely going to take my car there whenever I need anything done. 😊

Great place! Honest and quick. My parents were visiting me for the weekend and the splash guard on my car came loose. We googled and found Joe’s. It had great reviews. We weren’t sure how long the wait would be or how expensive the service would be ... but it was open on a Saturday and we trusted the reviews. It was very close (10 min away) when we got there we were greeted right away by a friendly crew. We described our situation and to our surprise they told us they could get us in and if there was nothing else wrong we would be on our way in about a half hour. They lived up to their promise. Many repair shops get a bad wrap probably because they are not always upfront on cost (especially to students).These guys were awesome! I highly recommend and will be going back to them for oils changes and anything else car related.Thank you Joe’s for such a terrific customer experience. Since this a student town, they told us they work a lot with parents far away or close to help their kids while attending school in B-ham. Thank you Joe’s team!!!!

Took my car there and I heard one of the old guys in the back say I dont want to work on that car! Pretty rude I thought cause your a mechanic. Dropped my car off at 8:30 in the morning said it would take them 3 hours and they would call, so I left came back at 1 cause no call and when i came back they hadnt even touched my car. Then when they finally touched it took them a Minute to say they cant do it. And it cost 167 just to get the oil changed will not go back should have gone to ford to get the oil changed would have saved money.

I have taken my car in to Joe’s multiple times and every time they have been super fast, extremely friendly, and do excellent work. They are honest and seem to really care about getting your car back on the road for you. Lance is who I have dealt with the most and he and the rest of the staff are top-notch! I highly recommend you trust them with your car!

One of the best experiences Ive had with a mechanic. Took in a 25 year old van with some fuel line problems to see if the guys at Joes could fix it. The issue with the leaking fuel line was well known and parts had been discontinued so the only way to get a replacement was from a salvage yard and are difficult to find. Before going in, I was convinced they would tell me that the problem was beyond repair and the van was destined for the junk yard. To my surprise, Justin called me back the same day and told me he had found the needed parts and they would be happy to fix the van. Obviously, I was ecstatic but dreaded the price they were about to quote me. The price turned out to be about half of what I was expecting. Theyve definitely got a repeat customer.

Does a great job and VERY fast! He always find the time to get the job done. The prices are fair for the high end products they use. I take my personal vehicles here and my company fleet. I would highly recommend.

My very first experience with this establishment was a very wonderful experience. Lance was super knowledgeable about everything we discussed. I was kept very involved and informed the whole time they serviced my truck. The cost was very reasonable. They charged me $590 and I had my vehicle back in two days. Not two weeks before my truck broke down it was “repaired “ at northwest Chevy. They charged me $4,300, replaced a bunch of unnecessary things. On top of that they didn’t even fix the actual problem. Northwest Chevy kept my vehicle for a week. Joes automotive is truly wonderful they fixed my problem and earned a loyal customer.

My sons car broke down south of Bellingham. He reached out to Joe’s and they helped him out. They quickly diagnosed the problem, gave an estimate and had the work done within a few days. Very friendly, fairly priced and professional. I highly recommend Joe’s Automotive.

Its always hard to tell what to think about any place when you read reviews. It seems like its typically a lot of 5 and 4 star reviews and then some 1 star reviews. I dont see how someone could give Joes 1 star. In my experience they are always upfront about the cost to do a repair and timely with getting it done. Do you really want a mechanic that is slow enough that they can do the work the same day you call? No... I want someone that is busy because theyre good, but fit me in based on the urgency of the repair, if possible. I highly recommend Joes because they are friendly, professional and Ive never gone in and get the job done, while never feeling taken advantage of. Ive been to plenty of places that dont meet that basic criteria. Thanks guys for taking great care of our vehicles.

I have used Joes Automotive for a complicated repair. Joes was quite a bit less expensive than the dealership and I had the confidence of the 3 year guaranteed warranty. I listed a long event of my experience at Joes Automotive in an earlier review due to my frustration. As soon as I sent the essay review the owner Joe called me to discuss my issues. Now Im retracing what had occurred due to the overwhelming sincerity of Joes, and Justin shop performance or should I say shop side manners. He was so sorry, apologized over and over and kept asking what he could do for me. I explained that he wasnt at fault, however Joe took full responsibility for his shops mechanic errors in the matter. Joe offered money back to me and or money off future service. Man oh man Im now very impressed! There wasnt a thing that I said that Joe wasnt in agreement with. People can have bad days and this was obvious in a few actions of one Mechanic. Best experience with an auto shop. In and out in the same day (minor repairs). Affordable, and gave me an estimate up front. Very polite and friendly the whole way through. Oh and the random Joes coffee cup was a plus. 👍 would go back.

Joe and his crew will not recommend a sub-standard repair and they perform above average work. There is a cost to operate your business in this manner and I am always willing to pay a little more for this type of service. I know I can get an oil change for less, but sometimes paying less will cost more in the long run. My wife also brings her vehicle here and she has had the same great experience as me. They were very quick, honest with assessments, and costs were reasonable. During one of their assessments, they figured out that there was an easy fix (re-attaching a hose that came loose) and fixed it, no extra charge beyond the assessment fee.No complaints at all. Id definitely take our car there again.

Lance and his crew saved my families Disney vacation by diagnosing and repairing our a/c. We were told by another shop it would be over $2000 and a 5 day wait. Lance got it done in 24hours and for $600.00. He also gave me great tips on Disney land as well. We are new to the area and I am glad I have found the shop I will use for all my repairs. Thank guys!

Their pricing is very reasonable and they are genuinely concerned for your cars safety and reliability. While it wasnt required to convince me, they even showed me the parts they replaced that made it very clear why they did the repairs they did. My wifes car runs like new!

I explicitly asked them not to work more than a specific time figuring out the problem because I was on a budget. Only to learn they charged me double what they said they would. Then conveniently had no record of me asking them.I transfered over the title to them to have them scrap it and they gave me nothing in return. When Im sure they received at least something for the car. They didnt even have the thought to offer for me to grab things out of the back.I will never go back there and will actively discourage others from going to Joes in the future. Worst mechanic is experience Ive had.
