Colin at the tennis shop was fantastic. He took the time to explain and clarify every detail of the rackets that I was interested in and was able to string my racket on the spot and even walked up to find me while I was browsing and waiting for the stringing to be done. Ive been to Sturtevants a few times to get modifications to ski boots. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They dont just fix your problems, they also teach you about the boot fitting process so you can make more adjustments yourself in the future. Ive definitely gotten better service here than other local ski boot shops.

A visually impressive place, full of staff that is ready to do their best for their customers. My ski boots needed screws, a tongue with a popped rivet and a buckle that was bent in a collision when a girl T-boned me so hard my boot was unbuckled. I was accepted without the appointment they prefer to better care for customers. Erik, in tech, actually enjoyed the challenges my foreign boots presented as he used his skills to professionally restore total functionality. He showed me online where to order parts with the specifications to restore all to original cosmetics. Price, skill, selection, and customer focus rates more than 5 stars!

Our experience the last two visits has been amazing. We purchased ski boots the first visit. Jake was super knowledgeable and really patient. Today Ryan helped us purchase skis, poles, and bindings. Again, super helpful and knowledgeable. Their prices are great and service is fantastic. Great place to buy ski equipment.

I bought a snowboard with boots and bindings in the off-season and got a decent deal, but really I got some great advice! First year out and I love my board and boots and everything - I have total confidence in my equipment.After a month in, the BOA lace broke. This was because I would rest the board on my boot while going on the lift - Ive since started to rest it on the back of the binding. I took the boot in and they replaced it right there free of charge. I will continue to purchase all my snow stuff from sturtevants.

Thanks to Ryan who fit me into a pair of Nordica Pro Machine 120s. He spent a lot of time finding the right boot for my foot and modifying the shell where needed. After day 1 in the boots I am stoked. The boots fit and performed perfectly. Sturtevants is the best!!

Great local Eastside Store for all Sports enthusiasts. Always fully staffed with enthusiastic knowledgeable staff members willing to assist and recommend the right equipment. Dealing mostly with tennis, skiing and watersports. In addition to selling new equipment they are also servicing tennis racquets (stringing), and skis.

This place is so amazing! I visited to check out a product that they had just sold the last of. They thought they might not get more infor months, yet they called to say They were able to get the product I wanted within days and they took my name down and called me the moment the product was available. They set it aside so It was on hold for me for up to 48 hours and then offered me my choice of colours when I arrived. I am so happy that I found this place online by chance. I didnt know they existed and I was shocked at how big and beautiful the store was inside. They have every type of sports gear you could imagine from snowsports to watersports and everything in between, especially rarer items not carried elsewhere. Not that there is anything wrong with larger chain Sporting goods stores for supply and selection, or basic sports. However, the selection here was so much better and the staff handled my sale as if it was the only thing in the world that mattered. I would also like to add that I worked with several different sales people between selecting the product and tracking it down until the shipment was in hand as well as reaching out to me the moment the shipment came in. They followed through on every step of the way. I could not say anything better about this store. Go here If you need anything sports related, and if you prefer to be treated well by store staff! Excellent Customer service! I bought new FT ski boots and bindings. Ryan was very knowledgeable and helped me into the boot that would be the best fit. Ryan also fitted the boot to my feet to make it a perfect fit.I came back a week later and had the binding fit to my skis. I originally came here two years ago to buy ski boots. I have very large feet, which makes it very difficult for me to fit into even the larger ski boots. I have come here multiple times to have my ski boat re-shaped as I have no other option, and without question I have been helped every time! Kudos to Ben and Seth in the ski shop downstairs. I brought 3 pairs of skis to them about an hour before closing time a couple of weeks ago, asking to have the bindings adjusted to my newly purchased ski boots. One of the 3 pairs needed a remount. I expected to have to leave the boots and the skis for pick-up at a later date, but they did the job with all 3 pairs right then and there, with a smile and genuine interest. They even scarped the storage wax off of the skis. It was so convenient and customer friendly. Needless to say, I will be a repeat customer.

Bought brand new Ski boots from Sturtevants. I am an advanced skier. I have never bought new boots so I was not sure where to buy boots, I had called around before going out to look. I spoke with Ryan at the Bellevue store prior to arriving. Ryan was so knowledgeable and asked me all the right questions, I was so impressed I drove straight there. Once I arrived I met Ryan, the boot I originally wanted he said I would be miserable in because it was too narrow of a boot for my feet and I found out after Ryan measured my feet I’m a 3E.Ryan was very knowledgeable about the boot that would best fit my feet and the boot I chose was like a slipper before and after being fitted. Ryan educated me on boots and boots styles.I’m so thankful I was able to meet with Ryan and have him fit the boot to my feet even molded the inner boot. This will be best boot I have ever had. 5 star customer service! Excellent! Can’t wait to shred!!

The experience of custom fitting my ski boots was absolutely great. Many thanks to Lucas for all his help! He paid close attention to the issues with the calf fit and found two tweaks to take care of that. On top of heat molding the linings, he also taught me a bunch of beginners tips on how to maneuver the boots more easily, the type of socks and the length of thermal pants that further help the boot fit and answered all my questions. It was a full package. Thanks again!

Really large selection and very good boot fitting staff

Stopped in today to look for a snowboard for my 11 year old son. I will admit it’s a bit overwhelming to dive into purchasing a snowboard, bindings, boots, attire and all the extra little supplies that go with. The place was busy and the parking lot was full! We were met immediately in the snowboard and boot section by an employee named Taylor. He greeted us and asked us what he could help us with. He answered all our questions, educated us on boards, boots and bindings. I am very thankful to be able to go into store with an employee who is 100 percent knowledgeable about his work place. This guy.. Taylor made our experience top notch. We left there and felt completely satisfied with our purchases. We did go to other larger stores before this and had employees that knew nothing about what they were selling and left without purchasing items. We will be going back to Sturtevant’s for future purchases!! Way to go Taylor!

Good gear. Relatively lax Covid protocols: plus: hand sanitizer at the entrance and everyone is wearing masks. Minus: difficult to maintain distances while shopping for gear, and sanitization of touched gear is not rigorous.

I got my tennis racquet restrung here last year. Costed me about less than 20 bucks for stringing cost, I had my own string from Amazon.Fast service, quick turnaround time. I am going to use their service again.

I rarely write reviews but today I feel compelled to do so because I was so amazed with the service I got. Eric spent 2.5 hours fitting me for new ski boots and I was blown away by the level of precision, patience, and care he demonstrated during the entire process. I have been trying to get new ski boots for 5 months now and have bounced between ski shops. I am between sizes with boots, and all the bootfitters I visited would tell me to get the smaller ones and that they would heat mold it to make more space. I didnt believe them because the boots felt so tight when I put them on, and they would never actually prove to me that they could fix it. Today, Eric said the same thing as all the others- I should get the smaller boot. BUT without my asking he immediately told me he would show me, and spent a solid 15 minutes heat molding them to expand them. I am very picky with details and have very difficult feet to fit, and he had to do a total of 5 different heat molds, each aimed at different points of the boot. I am sure it was tiring for him, but at no point did he show any frustration or make me feel rushed, even when the store was about to close. I havent worn the boots out on the slopes yet but I am pretty confident they will feel great. And if they dont, I am confident I can go back to Eric and he will address my concerns until they feel right :).

There is nothing like walking out of sturtevants with your new boots and skis and seeing literally the first few flakes of snow on a dry day fall from the sky.Vaun hooking me up with boots, Jeff teaching me about bindings and tuning, Megan and the other guy that helped me at the counter when my cards werent working... they were all awesome. The store was crazy busy with people wanting to chase the opening season and shred all this perfect gnar thats been dumping and I saw a very patient and able staff, very willing to help and considerate of others time, no matter how stressed and rushed I or anyone else in the store felt. We visited 3 times now, left with stuff, came back with stuff, left with different stuff, just because we couldnt make a decision. Professional and attentive customer service.

Yes I follow the law and wear a face mask but to tell us we cannot come in if my husband does not put their hand sanitizer on his skin when he has serious skin issues is not ok. We will gladly spend the 1500+ we drove an hour to get here to somewhere else. This is not ok.

Best customer service I have encountered in my decades of buying online. They went out of their way to ensure my order would be delivered in time for Christmas. I was ready to pay for additional shipping and they found a way to do it at no extra cost. Truly professional. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

I do appreciate businesses that comply with state rules and require customers wear masks. I do appreciate businesses that provide access to the additional protective means for their customers. Upon entering Sturtevants (wearing mask), I was immediately called out and presented with an ultimatum that you HAVE to use our hand sanitizer or LEAVE. While I can argue that its not state rule and not the health experts recommendation. That FDA states that hand sanitizers are not proven to threat COVID. That a lot of people might have skin issues from using sanitizers. At the end that we do not know about the liquid you have in the bottle and of its origin and ingredients. But Im not going to, as its not the point. I just fail to understand why the first sentence I hear upon entering your store is a threat to be rejected service if I do not comply. It didnt feel like care for health and safety but opportunity to exercise authority for your representative. Ok, as you wish - I will take my money elsewhere now, and will advise my friends to do so. And no, Im not going to return to your business when restrictions are lifted, because I dont have problems complying with state rules and trying my best to keep people around safe. Its not restrictions that are the issue.

Sturtevant’s is fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. We were very happy to work with Brittany. She got us dialed in on all of our snowboard gear and was very knowledgeable. Always eager to go the extra mile when we were trying to find that perfect for. Each time we come in we look to find her as she has made our shopping experience very enjoyable.

Huge selection of gear. We were blown away at the selection of kids gear. We have been everywhere looking for clearance snow gear for the kids for next season and no place had anything. Then we went here and they had an entire upstairs filled with gear.The staff here was so nice and helpful. I love REI but I will only be shopping here for ski stuff from now on.

I came in late in the day close to closing time and I was very impressed with how everyone in the shop was so patient and helpful! David did an excellent job at finding me the perfect fit for my ski boots. I tried on several different pairs before finding the best fit and he is a true professional. Michael also spent a lot of time helping my wife get fitted for her ski boots and they stayed with us well past their closing time to help make sure we got everything we needed. Needless to say this is the only store I will shop at for my ski gear/equipment as long as I live in the Seattle area. They are amazing people!!

Amber is amazing!! First time working with Sturtevants and was trying very hard to find a specific pair of goggles online through the website and google Could not find them. Amber took over 30 min of her day to track down these goggles and ship them to me over the phone and was so nice about it. First class customer service, have became a Sturtevants customer for life because of Amber.

JR was amazing! I purchased my boots last year and there were issues but I was just dealing with them. He asked me specific questions and got to the heart of the issues and had remedies for all of them. I was so appreciative of the excellent customer service. We just spent a week in Whistler and his craftsmanship was a game changer. Same great people, new location. The new store feels a little cramped but they still have the great service and selection as before. Parking is fine as well. Although theyre no longer a true local store, Sturtevants is still a staple for ski gear in my opinion. Good selection of brands and models for clothing and gear. Purchased a new set of snowboarding boots, bindings, and boards there a few weeks ago. Elliot, Erika, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and even though it was a bit busy, made sure to accommodate me and help me through the buying process! We went there today to show snowboard boots and pants. The staff Dan at snowboard session is very helpful. Gives us good selections of choices and recommendations. We eventually came out with a new pair of Burton Moto snowboard boots. Love to do business with them again.

UPDATE: Sturtevants reached out to me about my poor boot fitting and made a great effort to find me the perfect boot. I was set up with Colin who really knew his stuff, easily the best boot fitting I have ever had. The boot selection at this point was very thin so I didnt end up finding a boot to purchase at this point. However, they did give me a refund on my original boot purchase and a list of great boot recommendations for the next season when the boot stock is better.-------------------So recently I went in to Sturtevants, went through their boot fitting process, and bought my first pair of (what I had hoped would be great) ski boots. Today was my first day trying them at the mountain. Turns out, the boots were not so great.My experience at Sturtevants:Walking into the store I was surprised by their selection, they had so much stuff! I started a boot fitting session with one of their teenager boot fitters, and he matched me with a pair of Techica boots 29.5 with 90 flex (I am 210lbs, 62, athletic, and a relatively aggressive skier). The guy seemed dedicated to selling me some boots and was confident that those were the right ones. I went to their counter, bought the boots, and was handed a receipt with a stamp saying essentially Hey guess what, you cant return these now. So no big deal, they seemed like nice boots.Fast forward one week to today, my first day trying the boots on the mountain. Turns out the boot fitting was not so great... The boots were floppy and would not hold my weight. When I got home my knees felt like I had just squatted a few hundred pounds with the worst possible form. My feet went numb within the first 10 minutes, and I couldnt feel my toes for most of the day. This is with the clasps set as loose as possible and some nice ski socks on.I went into this shop hoping to get fitted to the perfect pair of boots that could last me a good 10 years or so. In the end, I spent $400 on a pair of boots that make skiing a terrible experience.To sum things up:I got sold a pair of useless boots, poorly fitted, and told I would not be able to return them after my purchase. Seemingly, these boots were just fitted to me to get rid of boot stock before the season ends. Unfortunately, I can not recommend anyone to this place for ski gear, and would be concerned about any other products that relied on their expertise.If I were you, I would try one of the Ski shops in Seattle with more experienced boot fitters.

Great selection and prices

The team at Sturtevants is top notch and their experience along with their customer service is nothing short of fantastic. JR tailored my ski package to my style/needs, while schooling me on the art of boot fitting. Since working with him, Ive been able to ski harder and stay on the slopes longer without the fear of my feet hurting. JR - you rock!

I go there for stringing my rackets. They do great job and price is also competitive. They have a great demo racket program. This is my to go place for tennis needs locally. They match online price as well. Highly recommended.

Very poorly run. Was told it would be a few minutes to get help with ski boots. Left after waiting 45+ minutes without getting helped. Not acceptable to waste a customers time like that. If you are too busy to serve customers tell them a realistic wait time, dont lie. To me this is a failure of management at the store.

I drove all the way from Yakima to come to this shop because of a friend reccomending them. They hands down are the nicest, most helpful staff I have seen at a ski/board shop. Amazing selection of skis, boards, and boots of all sorts of brands. They took their time to custom fit me a pair of full tilt ski boots, and I have loved skiing in them ever since! Spend boots, but with that service and quality its worth it.

Love the boot fit guarantee. I have wide feet, and JR cheerfully worked to make the boots work for my foot. He took a lot of time and didnt hurry, made sure they felt good.

Want to give a shout out to Ryan at Sturtevants in Bellevue. Ive been long looking for a new pair of ski boots as the old ones were given me a lot of pain. Part of the reason is that my feet are wider than usual. He helped me to pick up the new pair at the Ski Bunker event. He is knowledgeable and experienced. But what impressed me the most is that later when I came into the store to get that custom fit, Ryan knows what he is doing. And more important, he made the whole thing effortless by streamlining each every step. I am in and out the store within 40 minutes with a properly punched right boot, 2 custom fit liners, and a ton of tips from Ryan
