FALSE ADVERTISING- SoulCycle classes are now 100% outside, .3 miles from their Bellevue studio. Nowhere on the website does it specify that the classes are outside. If I knew it was an outdoor class, I would not have paid $30 to go. An outdoor class is not the same experience, and not worth the hefty price tag. I showed up this morning at 8:25AM, 5 minutes before the class was going to start. On the door of the studio it had a sign that says class is now located outside at this address... I walked over to the outdoor studio in a parking garage, and a lady greets me and directs me over to the make shift front desk. I show up at 8:31 and I explain to them that I didnt know that class was outside and thats why I am showing up right when the class starts. They tell me I am late and now cannot join the class. I explained to the manager that nowhere on the website does it specify that the class is online, and that she should let me join the class since I drove 45 minutes to the studio. The manager was extremely unapologetic, and rude. She tried to disprove me by showing me the SoulCycle website, and she quickly turned it off because I was correct. She then proceeded to tell me about the company policy about being late, which I understand, but in this circumstance I think it is wrong they wouldnt let me join. The least she could have done was let me into the class, which is now just a bunch of stationary bikes in a garage surrounding by metal fences. Please do not go to this overpriced spin studio. There are plenty of better spin studios that are staffed by kind people. Not to mention SoulCycle doesnt offer memberships, and other studios do. This companies needs to DO BETTER.
I LOVE this studio. The people are friendly and I get a solid rave on a bike cardio workout. I leave sweaty, energized, and happy. The vibe is amazing. I call Soul my “church”. Mat is my all time favorite instructor. I also really enjoy April’s classes, and hear Earl is amazing. 25 rides in, and I’m hooked.
As a person coming in for the first time the staff knew I have never been here before, but after that I wasnt told where to go or what to do. A few things I expected from the instructor or anyone (1) Spend 15 seconds up front explaining to everyone how to adjust their seat. They know there are new people in the class, then why not take a few seconds to explain it? Form is important. (2) As a new rider, what does LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN mean? Am I moving my head, my hips, my arms, standing up, NO IDEA. I still dont know after the class. I was told by someone it took them THREE visits to get and understand what to do. Why do I have to pay for additional classes to achieve this, rather than get it the first time? I didnt have a chance to ask the instructor, and by the time Im finished with the class whats the point? My money has already been taken and I dont want to spend more just to figure it out on my own. Isnt that what Im paying Soul Cycle for?The atmosphere (beside being able to smell the person next to you)and instructor are great, but the new rider experience is non-existent. If it were great I would be back, and recommend this to others, but unfortunately its not and I have to say it for how it is so that others will know.
Staff was really nice and class was good, it was a full body workout and i really liked how they turn the lights down. But i dont care for how loud the music is. Im very thankful they offer earplugs but i wish i didnt have to wear them.
Great place for Bellevue downtown... theres is cafe, Nordstrom, wework ....are here
An amazing experience! Hit me on so many levels, great workout and atmosphere. Big shout out to EARL for delivering my first Soul Cycle.
Went for the first time and Im pretty underwhelmed with my experience. The staff was super friendly and they helped me set my bike up which is great, so I have nothing bad to say about that. But as others have said, it is tricky to follow along in the beginning. The music is also overwhelmingly loud which made it impossible to hear the instructor. Honestly my ears are still ringing, and it seemed like a dangerous level of volume. The room is also kept pretty hot, which makes you sweat a ton and makes you feel like the workout was a lot harder than it actually was. Maybe I need to give it another try, but seems like people go here just to be seen, rather than get a true workout.
Really fantastic work out, the staff are great. I really like Earl, Jenna and Chelsea, each are different but all lead a very hard, fun workout!!!
Great Cycle Workout. Incredible Energy
Finally - SoulCycle arrives in Seattle (Bellevue). Cult following in NY and the east coast. This is not really a spinning studio; it is more of an aerobics studio that is done on bikes. If you are a serious cyclist looking for the latest spinning studio, you may be a little disappointed. If you are a non-cyclist looking for a fun, high energy aerobics workout, this is for you. Dont be intimated if you are not a serious cyclist.
Intense, energizing and crazy good fun. Jenna is amazing and highly recommended if youre just starting out
I have been purchasing classes at this studio since March and I recently had to cancel my class(sort of) last minute. As I call to cancel, everything sounds fine as this is a waitlisted class so it will fill up quickly regardless. However, when I went to check my account after the phone call they hadnt credited the class back to my account, which in our phone conversation sounded like they would have been able to. So I called again to ask why they hadnt refunded the class since I wouldnt be able to make it and the male I spoke to on the phone asked me why I was cancelling and what my reason for not making the class was. The reason I was cancelling was very personal and the fact I even had to explain why I was cancelling was ridiculous! Just for a $25 class. Im extremely disappointed in the customer service I received and will not be buying anymore classes from this studio.
If youve been yearning for the smell of the elitists sweat, your struggle is over, youve found the perfect place. For a nonsensical $30/hour, you can skip cycling the PNW trails and instead pack yourself with another 40 souls into a dark room the size of a studio, your nose 2 feet away from someones bottom (unless youre in the first row) for 45 minutes of motivational screams. Stars are for good music, impeccable lockers and the unique feeling of luxurious tormentation.
Good atmosphere but wow theyre pricey.
We planned a girls event at this location. We arrived exactly 1 min after the cutoff time (bad traffic that day) and we were literally running to make it on time. Some of the girls made it on time and checked us in. When we went in, the staff were super rude and they didnt let us in the class, because of safety issue - claiming that the class heart rate was already elevated. We told them weve been running to reach on time, we already have an elevated heart rate and we could totally catch up. They went on saying that we are now 15 mins late and they cannot let us in, period.
I cant seem to get past the fact that the signs inside the Lincoln Square that direct you to their studio all have entrance misspelled. Who gets a professional sign done and doesnt proof read it?
