My son has been attending Sylvan the past summer while school is out. He entered 4th grade with considerable confidence versus last year when he entered 3rd grade. The tutors he has had are amazing and smart. I have no regret enrolling him in this program. I think its beneficial and helpful especially in the Bellevue school district when the academics are more advanced. They have been very helpful in keeping his mind sharp and alert (and away from computer games)

It is a VERY good tutoring place. They helped me in math. Now when I got to school I am super confident and I am not shy anymore. Sylvan is a very good place.

Our daughter had some challenges in math coming after a year of at-home learning. She has been attending three times a week for the past few month, and is now doing much better at basic computation and building a solid foundation for more advanced work. Very happy we decided to send her to this center.Kelsey, the Center Director is also an excellent communicator - I never feel like Im out-of-the-loop on our daughters progress.

We really value this location’s dedication to serving kids in person! It had made a huge impact for both of my kids in just one month’s time, after our original Sylvan location was only hosting sessions via Zoom. Kelsey oversees this location and she provides excellent leadership and great communication and it’s much needed and much appreciated after a crazy year that left both of my kids academically behind. I had no experience with tutoring when I learned my 9 year old needed help in math and reading. I looked into and contacted a handful of tutoring centers. We chose Sylvan, because it felt like it was the best fit for him. Im glad we did. I love the progress Im seeing from him. He will be caught up in his classes in no time and will not have to repeat 3rd grade material or be held back in school.

After initial 2 months, 3x/week, 1 hr/session, our daughter went from 2nd grade reading comprehension to 4th grade, and another 2 months she is at 5th/6th grade reading level. Worth every penny to save our family from all the home stress of trying to teach her.Our daughter did not thrive during remote learning due to COVID. Her STAR ratings dived in reading comprehension and plateaued in math, and we were at our wits end trying to decide if we should switch to private school.Before you start Sylvan does a full assessment and meeting to evaluate her areas of improvement are. Her learning is very systematic, for reading, there are specific skills she is taught, practice, and test... without her even knowing... before she goes on to the next skill.When asking what she learns, she practices many skills simultaneously for reading. Now she is working on writing, which is progressing.*** Childs perspective: PROS: nice teachers, fun games at end of sessions, cool prizes (Slime, DIY light box, pencils). CONS: Some of the prizes are over valued ( ie blue pom pom was 50 tokens, or 500 tokens for $10 Amazon gift card).Tokens are based on skills achieved. Our daughter got lots of tokens with her reading comprehension, but with writing, ability to accrue tokens have been harder.*** Director Kelsey and Zachary were wonderful and communication is/was clear with assessments, sessions left, progress and tips. We meet with a director monthly. Zachary has since left. Our new director is adequate.*** Flexibility: you can do in-person vs remote. With ease of switching. Each tutor has max of 3 students ( per my daughter)*** CONS: usage of sessions is a bit confusing in the beginning. If you set up 2x/week, you are committed using 8 sessions for the month. You can reschedule, but if you skip the course, you lose the course.*** Value: Relative. I find it expensive, $49/session, purchasing 160 sessions = $8624 after taxes. Though it has been worth it with helping our daughter get caught up and now exceed her grade., and 5 months later she is only half way through her sessions.***Location: Convenient to due errands during the hour shes in session. Lots of parking, though spaces are compact.

Sylvan in Factoria has been a lifeline for my son who has slowly slipped behind his peers, especially during the pandemic. Sylvan identifies his needs, provides excellent feedback on his progress and offers constant communication with parents. Its nice to know we are in good hands at Sylvan Factoria!

Before Sylvan, math homework was always a struggle that ended in tears for both me and my son. His grades were poor and he had trouble paying attention in class. Hes been with Sylvan for over a year. Hes getting an A in math now. His tutor is patient and positive, and not only helps my son with his homework, but is helping him understand concepts that before he had trouble mastering. If your child is struggling in school or with homework, Id HIGHLY recommend Sylvan.

We decided to enroll him in Sylvan, because after his evaluation we realized that the teachers not only look into the academic, they also look into my son’s characters to help him motivated in study.I can see his improvements every month and always happy with the class.He is a 3rd grader now and always in advance group in school. The staff are very warm and welcoming to kids. Our child loves going to learn which is a huge bonus! Zach is wonderful and spent lots of time answering all of our questions. So far our experience there has been extremely positive.Update: Our son has been going to Sylvan for 7 months now and we are very pleased with his progress. Not only is he improving academically but his self confidence has dramatically gone up. He enjoys all of his tutors and is always eager to run in the door. We get monthly updates on his progress and they do a great job of addressing any of our concerns. This has been such a tough year dealing with virtual school, if he was not going to Sylvan he would be so far behind. Sylvan has been a life saver! We couldnt be more pleased.

Sylvan Is Great and Useful for my 8 year old kid, it helped him pass second grade, and I will keep continuing with Sylvan so my son can get better and better in English and math. They are professional and the team is very nice. I recommend it to any kid who struggles and needs help.

After carefully researching the options to enhance my child’s education, I chose Sylvan of Bellevue. While there are two in equal distance from my home, I chose Bellevue after reading the Teacher’s Bio’s and consulting with Kelsey, the Center Director. The teachers are not only extremely qualified to teach, they are active outside their homes which is important to us as they will have an influence on my child. Kelsey spent time getting to know my son to make sure his teachers are a good fit. I highly recommend Campbell, Aaron and Edara. They not only meet, they exceed our high expectations.

We started Sylvan earlier this year in Feb to help my younger son get caught up in reading. With the pandemic hitting, Sylvan has been a tremendous resource. The switch to virtual has been even more impactful. So much so, our oldest is now getting help. I really appreciate the data driven approach with the assessment as well as the time Kelsey and staff give to the parents (we meet once a month to track progress). Most importantly were really seeing a difference in the boys, academically but also their attitude toward school work. I could not recommend Sylvan more!

My son attends Sylvan 3 hours per week. Hes in a challenging program at school and its been extra challenging for him. Sylvan has helped him get organized and also helped him with the curriculum. My son seems to like the staff there and I can see results. Its not cheap, but after looking at private tutors too I realized tutoring in general is not cheap. Kelsey, the manager there, is outstanding for me to work with and discuss ways to help with the school work. She really knows my son well and I truly believe she is invested in his success.

The director excelled in preparing a study plan for my daughter’s university application process during high school. Not only that, but the instructors are well-experienced and professional in their teaching areas. Sylvan is able to pinpoint specific areas that are in need of improvement after taking a short diagnosis test. They will then teach my daughter specifically how to improve and increase their grades.

My daughter is really excited about learning and getting ahead. She is working on reading and next math. Kelsie the director is really awesome and gave me a full picture of what my daughter needs to be successful. She has not been tested after the program, but I already can see her engagement at school. I really recommend Sylvan Learning Bellevue if you are looking for support for your child learning experience.

Weve been using Sylvan at this location for years now. It is such a great advantage to get high-quality tutoring for our son anytime we need it. Unlike the classroom at school, this is where our son can receive individualized instruction that ensures he understands the subject matter and knows how to approach homework and testing for success. I dont have to be an expert on school subjects, and I dont have to have a nightly struggle trying to hold my son accountable for school performance. We have a partner in the tutors and team leaders. In addition to excellent tutoring, Sylvan is an advocate for our sons learning and performance, talking to his teachers and monitoring his grades with us. If raising kids takes a village, youll want these fine people in your community for sure.

My kids have been going to Sylvan for 4 years and Sylvan continues to be very valuable to all three of them. They get homework help beyond what I can provide, ACT/SAT prep, and structured learning in academic areas where they need more support than can be given at school. It really helps me with math even if I’m done for the day we play games and the give us an IPad to do some math problems in an app called something and I really like the place if your kid is struggling with math or anything you should really go there!!
