This was the first time I have been to The Shop, and it was an awesome experience. Right when I walked in I was greeted with a smile. The person at the front was super nice and friendly when checking me in and out. The barber I saw was Garrett. He did an amazing job on my hair. Since it was the first time receiving a hair cut with him, he took the time to go over what kind of style and hair cut I wanted. I wasn’t completely sure how short I wanted to go, and he was very understanding and walked me through a few different lengths until we reached the one I was looking for. Garrett was very friendly and was very detailed when cutting my hair. I would highly recommend The Shop and Garrett.

I got the best haircut I have had in a LONG time today at The Shop in Bellevue. I keep my hair short, and Ive found it very difficult to get a good cut, and Ive paid a lot at other salons in my attempts. The cut Tram Le gave me today was excellent. The Shop is very comfortable, too: Good with COVID precautions, clean, right on time. Tram Le was very professional and personable. On top of everything else, the price was so good, it seems like a crime to pay the prices charged by the other shops/salons. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful.

Gave them one more chance and opted for another stylist this time but worse than before. Gave very clear instructions, showed picture but what I got is a horrible haircut with non consistent hair at sides and just too short when I clearly instructed for medium length.

Ask for Hayley! Shes great and would recommend her for a cut to anyone I know.

Awesome place to get a cut, Tammi helped me out last time and I was very happy with my mid fade. She took her time and made sure I got the results I wanted!

Really depends on which hair dresser you get. Ive had great experiences with some and horrible with others. Some people there are aggressive with the clippers and makes the experience unpleasant. Last time I went the hair dresser pressed the clippers hard against my neck leaving cuts and scratches.

Heather is fantastic. After many haircuts at other shops, always asking for a “pixie,” I never received one- despite the picture I’d always bring. (See pic of model attached.) I now have that haircut, thanks to Heather! It looks great, even on an old gal :) . A wonderful experience in every way. Highly recommend Heather!!!

Excellent hair salon! Hayley is a great hair stylist and she listens to me to know exactly what I want. She gives her input but leaves the decision-making up to you. I think the pricing is affordable. I would suggest calling-in before going because the line gets somewhat long, but the quality of service is wonderful. Parking is a little bit difficult; there isnt much space to park but I found spots easily when I was there.

I had been going to The Shop for 3 years. Hayley has been fantastic and I will miss getting my haircut from her. She took her time to really understand how to style my hair. She is a perfectionist and is only happy if youre happy with the haircut. Very friendly, super professional and all around did a great job. I could trust Hayley and had confidence that she knew what she was doing.

Today I went in and needed a cut. Just a line up would have sufficed. However, with Haylee (SP) it was so much more than that. The cut did not turn out like I thought it would. It was so much better! The conversation and hospitality made it so that I didnt even want to leave. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Cant wait for my next cut.

Haley is the best! Started my loyal relationship with Haley because my husband always raved about her for the past 3 years. Now I only see her! She is a committed, talented artist and always has the longest wait times. She is worth the wait, trust me!

Kia is one of many great stylists. She always listens to what style I want and is quick. Never had a bad experience I highly recommend this place if you ever need a cut.

Very nice staff, but long wait times and the person who cut my hair had no idea what she was doing. She just kept cutting it shorter and shorter and shorter, and finally blamed my hair for being too curly and gave up 5 minutes later. Nice person, pleasant conversation, just wont be going back for another hair cut.

Great staff. Not a fan of their first come, first serve setup because you likely end up with a different stylist each time and end up waiting. I had a better experience at Goshen a few blocks away.

My girlfriend has been growing her hair out for years and had it down to the small of the spine. She asked for only 2 inches to be taken off and the layers redone but now her hair ends at the midpoint of her back. She graciously paid and tipped with no complaint because thats just who she is and its the holidays. Im writing this because my lady shouldnt have to go home crying the day after her birthday and 4 days before Christmas.. I called in to let them know she was crying on our drive home and they offered to have us come in and get credit for another appointment but my girlfriend doesnt want to a repeat of today.

One of the rudest places Ive been to.I show up in the shop to see the availability for a haircut. Im rudely greeted and told that theres a long line of people. I say thats fine and ask to write down my name. Im told that since there are so many people it wont really matter and I should just show up about 2 hours later. I dont understand that logic, so I still write my name down.About an hour later, I call to check on my status in the line. The lady on the phone says that I never wrote my name down, she cant find my name, and she can guarantee shed have my name down. Thats fine, mistakes happen, so I ask to put my name down anyway. She again says that its going to be a long wait, in a tone that makes me feel that no matter if I put my name down or not, I wont get a haircut. She angrily takes my name down without my phone number and just says Okay, bye.I never knew it would be this hard to get a haircut. If you dont take reservations, at least have a better system of informing people how long the wait is going to be and how they can be contacted in order to get their haircut. I wanted to try a new spot for my haircut, but it wont be The Shop.

Walked in this morning to get prices and appt availability. Best responses ever, no appointments, prices better than the salons I have been loyal too over 15 years of coloring and cut.So I jumped in! Color and cut. Left on first name basis and will be loyal to their brand.Stylist gave me names of all technicians that provide color services. They are not ‘client’ borders. They use top name products and genuinely enjoy their work and colleagues.Thank you Tara and team. See you again!

I live across the city and go specifically to The Shop. Candice is amazing at styling my hair she’s truly mastered the art of a proper haircut. Once I get a haircut from her I get stopped everywhere by strangers asking where I got such an amazing haircut. I always say “the Shop ask for Candice and say that Joey sent you”. 😎

I would give 0 stars if i could. This place is a total rip off. They dont have standard prices and charged me different prices everytime i went in for a touch up or a blend and provide reason that they go to different schools and charge what they think is worth their time.

I had a great experience with Hayley. She really helped fix my hair and understand what I needed to do to maintain it. Very down to earth and she has great style and energy. Much appreciated. I look forward to having her cut my hair again.

Friendly staff, great vibe, knowledgeable stylists. I have been going to the shop now for the last 6 months or so and feel like I have built a solid relationship with the folks here. They helped advise me on how I should style my hair, helped me repair the damage I dealt bleaching a dying my hair at home previously, and have since helped me keep up coloring my hair regularly without damaging my hair anymore. I know I plan to keep coming back here again and again!

The barber are great and do their job for a really nice price. If youre going for a simple to moderately difficult cut, then youll have an great one.

Went in today to get my hair cut (I didnt have an appointment) and I got seen immediately. The lady did such a good job and was very sweet (I cant remember her name but she had blue hair). She dealt with me changing the length I wanted it halfway through the cut, and was very nice about it. And it was only $31 which is less than half of what Ive paid elsewhere recently.

My boyfriend came home with an awful haircut. It was way shorter than he requested, pretty much a buzz cut, and the edges are uneven. They didnt dry his hair well after washing (it was still dripping wet when he sat down for the cut) and kept scratching his ear with the shaver. Very disappointed because he had a good experience here before.

Here are three reasons to stay away:1. The Shop rotates their stylist. I dont go to a business to get my hair cut, I go to a person, a person that I want to build a long term relationship with (7 years with my last stylist). Because the people are constantly rotated, its hit or miss if they will actually be there when you come in.2. Bring a good book because there is always a wait. Despite the fact that there are about 8 chairs, there will only ever be 2 or 3 stylists, even on weekends.3. The stylist I got was very nervous the whole time, asking me repeatedly if I really wanted the cut I requested. The haircut took an hour (usually it takes 5 minutes!), and when I got home I noticed that one side was cut completely different than the other. It was as if two separate people were cutting my hair, one on each side. Was she new? It would explain why she was so nervous. This same stylist is called out by another reviewer here, should have done my homework.Because The Shop will not make appointments, the three points above are unavoidable. It would be different if I could find a stylist there, that I jive with, and make appointments to see them.

Only in the area for two weeks, needed a haircut and saw the reviews. Called ahead and got out on the list. The guy that got my hair did so exactly how I wanted and then gave me tips on how to manage it. As he is the expert, Im appreciative for his feedback and it was something I didnt know. The only negative about this place was the parking situation. I parked at Chase and went in so I was a patron and they couldnt tow me. That might not be an option for everyone.

Candyce colored and cut my hair today and did a FANTASTIC job! She was so knowledgeable when it came to correcting the color in my hair, completley re-coloring it and doing a major hair cut. I felt at ease knowing she was so confident but so friendly. I’d highly recommend the shop!

We showed up first thing on a Sunday morning and there was only a short wait. They did a splendid job on my kids hair.

Used to love it here but the list they have is a joke. Show up on time and you’ll get punished and forced to wait for people who were an hour late for their appointments. Owner needs to wake up and encourage timeliness.

Went in today and my stylist Yoko had me completely lopsided and then kept trying to fix it until my fade got higher and higher... her clippers kept pulling my hair out but she kept insisting on using it. My hair cut is still uneven and I was too afraid to even look at the back. I had to stop her from correcting it because I was afraid it would just get worse. On top of that she drenched my shirt while shampooing me. This was by far my worst haircut experience ever and I have a big trip coming this week. I will not be ever coming back, I can’t imagine the hiring standards if she was hired on. I am absolutely furious.

I go in often. Ive worked the most with Ellie and Candice. Both are excellent sytlists! I have an undercut and Ellie is who I normally see to get my hair trimmed when it grows too long. Shes always given me ideas and options for shaping my hairline. Candice is who Ive seen when I go to get my hair colored. She removed pink, red, bleached, toned, and just today she did a beautiful ombre. Shes a miracle worker! Everyone that works there has been helpful and sweet!

Great place, nice and clean. Want to say a special thank you to Wendy. My previous experiences at barbershops were quite stressful, however she made my day today. She was exactly what I was expecting from a barber: detailed oriented, friendly and paasionate about her job. Very enjoyed and highly recommend Wendy. I also learned some livehack: do your haircut during the football game and you wont have to wait in line.
