Called, and Max said he was booked for the day (doesnt surprise me after going there). He paused me for a second, and said he would make an appointment for me at the end of the day, because he was gonna have to stay late anyways. I got there, and he was just finishing up with someone, and took me right in. The place is a sight, and a must see for an old time barber shop. I loved the bike in the middle of the floor, and the over all feel was very inviting. Max was great! Quick to conversation, and a little enjoyable banter! I loved the cut, and more over, my wife loved the cut, and the products he used to get the job done. Will be going back, but this time I will be scheduling days in advance, and scheduling Again with him while Im there. No one else is getting ahold of my head except Max, and his crew! Max is amazing! I came here for the first time today and discovered that I hadnt been to a REAL barber for as long as I can remember. He did a great job on my hair and I was blown away by his talent in cleaning up my beard. It was like watching an artist in action. I cant imagine going anywhere else in the future.

Max is so friendly. He does good work. My husband loves to have Max do his hot shave. Max is great with my kids. And has helped me out when my kids got creative and did hair cuts on thier sisters

It’s a very long wait, but both Max and Al give really good haircuts. I took my best friend here, and he looks great! The only thing that I disliked was the wait time. We got there at 9:30, he didn’t get his haircut until 11:40. So as I’ve said VERY long wait but VERY worth it

For the past 5 years I’ve just shaved my head/face at home, I mean come on, it takes 10 minutes and keeps some cash in my pocket. Since having moved to the area, Max’s has become the exception. Both of the resident barbers deliver clean shaves at a fair price in an atmosphere that is the definition of small town barber.If I was going to complain, it’s that they’re popular enough to render a wait. But I won’t complain, because slowing down and shooting the breeze with a collection of pleasant folks (patrons and staff alike) is all aces in my book. They’re busy for a reason, they deliver top notch service and everyone knows it. Don’t change a thing, except maybe another face to that third chair.

Cant express how much I enjoyed getting a cut here! Max has been cutting for around 35 yrs and is a true old school pro! I rolled in around closing and Max was happy to stay late to get me cut. I am a car and bike guy and max can talk cars and bikes the whole time absolutely loved it! Will be a regular from here on out! Thanks guys will be sending my buddies your way!

My husband and 3 boys always come home smelling and looking amazing! Max cut my almost 1 year olds hair for the first time and did an outstanding job! All the guys in my life love this barber shop and momma does too!!!

First time I went in, I waited forever but to support local business I went back a second time. The second time I went in and signed up on the board they had and was told by the guy he was the only one in and to come back at 4, I signed my name with time of 4 to mark my spot, max was out on vacation and the only guy there who saw everyone come in and out that day as HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WORKING. I went back at 4 and all of a sudden two people were in front of me and he said come back at 5-6 or tomorrow. Horrible service, went back today and was second in parking lot some lady pulls in and they let her in before they open saying screw you to people waiting there, before her entitled ass got there. As they opened and I was walking over, some other person pulled in while I waited 10 mins in parking lot and the Douche was like a 5 year old rushing a candy store, he got in before me as I was polite and opened the door for him and he then crowded the barber chairs where two people were already in the chairs I now know he was getting in front of me to get the number to be next in line. He knew pulling in I was there before him but he didn’t care. Rude people who don’t care about customers. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good place if you know the people and can cut in front of other customers that were supposed to be at a designated time or if you know them you can get special treatment and get in front of two to three people who were waiting. I really tried to make this my barber shop but more then half of the times I went in I was treated like I didn’t matter because I don’t come in enough.
