One of their drivers was in the Columbus Ohio area and stopped roadside at one of our rollbacks that was stuck in the median. He extracted our truck in a safe and timely manner and for a very fair price.

We live in North Carolina and we broke down in Fayetteville West Virginia. AAA told us that we would have to find a different ride and the tow truck would not take us home. John, our tow truck driver arrived and told us to get in the car and that he would be happy to drive us. He was extremely professional and kind. He literally saved our day. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Girl at the counter obviously wasnt hired for her personality. DOUBLED my bill, had to wait while she discussed it with ppl in another room, Im assuming the ppl I called on my way there to get an exact price. Very rude, no manners at all. 2 hour process while shouldve been minutes. Will NEVER recommend.

They was really great! They came from Beckley all the way to Hinton! From Hinton they towed my truck to Princeton. I had a slight issue. My truck had two kayaks I was hauling at the time. My husband and I was trying to come up with a game plan. We was looking at driving all to Beckley getting our trailer. Returning to Princeton loading the kayaks. Then going back to Beckley!! So we asked Laxtons if they would haul the kayaks back to beckley. Since we was all headed to Beckley anyway. Which they agreed too!! Oh this was also on Labor Day! We really appreciated all the help especially on a holiday!!! Thank you so much!

Always fast service when they have a garage bay available. Work seems to be done well with no problems after several visits for oil changes & other basic work. Employees are friendly & are willing to explain anything you question.

I went to get a quote on a front passenger cv axel and was told $192 and some change. I looked online and seen the highest price for one was $60. Then i said thats a bit high and she said its a 30% hike on the prices. ¿¿¿¿¿.Then she told me that it will be an all day job and labor is $60 an hour. I looked on youtube and a mechanic said it only take 1 1/2 hours maybe a little more to replace. Ridiculous. $192 before labor...nahhhh im alright.

Cashier rude and wont be back. Owner called me to ask about review and said the cashier was doing her job. Well he needs us for business to stay open We dont need them. Over the years we have spent thousands of dollars for vehicle repair but someone else will be getting our money now. I broke down on the way to Chicago. After previous bad experiences with other shops around the country I did not expect to have a good experience. I was wrong!I was treated fairly, honestly, and left satisfied with a car that wasnt broken and a wallet that also wasnt broken!If you need a mechanic you can trust I recommend this shop!

I was quoted $600 to tow, there tow guy ended landing my trailer in mud, i was charge mid $900s,and it was 2:00am and dark driver, woke up in the morning notices that trailer and truck was damage, i called to tell them the issues THEY CALLED MY DRIVER LIAR, and refused to take any responsibility, now i am left with overcharges and damages to my equipments.what should i do any suggestion????

This place sucks

I had to have a 2016 Silverado towed by laxtons, the day after I picked it up it had a terrible vibration. After getting it to a shop we learned they had totally destroyed my driveshaft. The owner,(without knowing the problem at all) denied anything to do with it. This is leading down a long unnecessary road to legal action with them and the local police. Do not go through these guys.

Seriously the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with in my life. The mechanics are cool and friendly but maybe a little incompetent when it comes to doing their job. I had a Ford probe and I thought it was my timing belt. I told them that and they agreed after the diagnosis. So I put a down payment of $400 so they could start to put my belt on and they said they needed it for parts. (first of all they never even called me and told me they were ready to work on it.)Ok get there and pay the $4oo... A day later they actually called me this time for the first time. They said during the first diagnosis they missed the fact that my engine had completely blown out and lost all compression. I cancelled the work for the timing belt because Im not going to put $2000 for a car I bought cheaper than that. So out of my $400 I paid, he told me he could only give me $100 back out of the 400 for towing fees (which I accept the tow was $50) and diagnosing fees. Which basically I paid $250 for a diagnosing that they messed up the first time. After 30 minutes of trying to tell him I need more money back than what he gave me he told me I could take what he is offering or I could leave empty handed in handcuffs. Not one time did I even raise my voice of even make a scene. So I took the measley $100 and I had them scrap the car for another $100. He told me the car would be scrapped the next day and hed pay me the rest. So after 4 days of relentless calling the shop and not hearing a word from the boss I finally went down there and had to catch him in the office to pay me my own money. This place needs a serious change of management. They are more along the lines of con artists rather than a legitimate business. Please find somewhere else before you waste your or hard earned money before you out money into these crooks pockets.NEVER will I return unless they find it in their heart to pay me back what is owed.Hope I can at least save 1 person the headache before they deal with the same.

Very fast service -- got us on the road within an hour when our alternator died while driving to NC.

Very unprofessional very rude all my cars have stickers saying laxtons is not to tow any of my automobiles no matter what I had money took out my car and a key chain took off my keys there was pieces of other people cars in my car if you have had luck with these people it wont happen all the time and most of the good reviews are from family members of people that work there I recommend to make sure you have another tow company help you

Was out $180 in exhaust damage after being towed and the OWNER said “ you can’t prove it” and refused to give a receipt where I payed cash. He said I have to wait until the driver get back to work the next day to give me a receipt.

Great staff. Mechanic work held up and the management was fair with holding fees on vehicles.
