Janet is Lilys tutor (Orton-Gillingham method). They meet for 45 mins, 3 times per week, and have been working together over zoom for about a year now. Janet has made tutoring something Lily looks forward to. She is fun, positive and engaging. I know Lily has a ways to go, but Janet is the reason she is thriving and eager to learn. When my daughter was diagnosed with Dyslexia we were told to contact Language Skills Therapy for Orton Gillingham tutoring. Of course I was anxious and wanted to get her started right away. I got a prompt response and, although I was informed of a waitlist, within a week I was contacted by a tutor whose office was right in our own NE Portland neighborhood. My daughter received excellent instruction twice a week and not only learned the nuts and bolts of reading but gained so much confidence in her reading as well. She loved her tutor and never complained about going, amazing!! Now I know why this group came so highly recommended.
