First thing that needs mentioning, this school offers parents $50 for 5 star reviews. It’s on the front page of their welcome kit. So keep in mind most of the reviews you will read have been heavily influenced with free tutoring in exchange for positive reviews.My experience with the school was unimpressive. From the very beginning all they wanted to talk about was the payments and how much it was going to cost they didn’t seem concerned with offering up any information about how the school runs. It felt like an extremely rushed process Focus was always around money. The intake person that we dealt with did not seem like she was that interested. Acted bothered by my questions almost. While we were in there the place seemed very disorganized. They claim to have a maximum of three students per teacher but they’re all lumped into one noisy room.One of the main reasons I chose this place was because of its overwhelming reviews but now that I know that those reviews are bought and paid for and after my initial experience we chose to go a different route.

The individualized experience and attention is exactly what we were looking for! My son looks forward to going each week. Initially signed up for 12 weeks; 2 times per week and we are only a month into it and seeing results! The incentive program they use to help motivate the kids definitely helps!

So far so good. Sylvan has been very flexible with tutoring times. They work really well with my son. They have been able to reach out and establish a connection with his teachers so they can focus on where he needs help while building foundational skills. My son doesnt complain at all about going to tutoring which is great. Such a worthwhile investment!

So grateful we are able to use Sylvan during COVID so we can start next year with confidence!

My 10 yo has come here for a couple of months for math tutoring. Math isn’t her best or favorite subject but she doesn’t complain much and is proud of her progress. Staff is responsive and flexible.

We started taking our 1st grader to Sylvan a few weeks ago to work on her reading skills. She loves going and is starting to enjoy reading more than she did before. They seem to do a great job with the kids here!

My daughter LOVES coming to Sylvan! She likes all of the instructors and enjoys the lessons. She often asks, “do I get to go to Sylvan today?”! 😁

We LOVE Sylvan Learning of Beaverton! Our daughter has been struggling with math for many years. We decided to finally put her in tutoring and it has been well worth the money to see her confidence and grades improving (a couple grade levels in only a few months)! Our daughter loves every one of her tutors and how they use her love of art to help with understanding math as well. I love to see my daughter come out of tutoring smiling and the tutors affirmation in rewards with gift cards for good work. Sylvan of Beaverton was very accommodating for our family when we had to take 2 months off due to financial family needs AND without fees to start up where she left off. :) The staff is very knowledgable in working to find the right fit in schedule, which tutors work best, and keeping our daughter motivated, to switch some things up when she is feeling a little burnt out, stressed, or facing tests at school. Thank you for helping our daughter, which helps us-her parents-as well!. :)

Our granddaughter is 10 years old and she spent one month at Beaverton Sylvan Learning Center. She was behind in both math and reading. By the end of the month she had moved up an entire grade level in reading.The tutors including Jesse were fantastic!Our granddaughter loved it...she asked if she could come back next year! She loved learning at Sylvan more then her grade school.Thank you so much for all that you do!

I have been part of this Sylvan for the past 23 years. I started attending Sylvan as a student to work on my study skills and organization. Because of this experience, I decided to come back as a teacher in 2010 then as a Director of Education. I truly believe in what Sylvan stands for and what they do for students which is why I stay and do what I do. Seeing students excel and start believing in themselves is all the paycheck I need.

We have been having our daughter go twice a week now for a little over a month. I can tell it is really helping with her confidence and over all school work. On her last Math test she only missed one problem and before going to the Sylvan Learning Center she was very behind in math and not even finishing her test. We were thinking about having her retake third grade, but not anymore thanks to the Sylvan Learning Center! They for sure know what they are doing!

The staff is very helpful and my children love learning. It isn’t a chore to get them to focus.

My kids love learning at Sylvan. They like the teachers they work with, and they enjoy their time spent there.

It really helps out with what you need to focus on like math or reading my brother comes here and he loves it and makes so many friends here in SYLVAN i 100% recomend it

Wonderful tutoring experience for children, calm, fun, and friendly.

Do not trust this facility. The employees dumped thousands of files containing personal information of clients in the dumpster for ANYONE to access. They do not protect your private information and literally toss it away for criminals to take.
