Absolutely love June! She was very polite and courteous! She assisted each customer within reason and in a reasonable time! I love her attitude and demeanor towards each customer, as she was calm, cool, collected, and did her job! The bigger U-Haul I went to were rude and didnt take the time to understand my needs, but June actually used her customer service skills and got us in and out all by being professional and actively listening! Im definitely going back for any of the services she offers and referring friends and family!!!

I have used this location a couple times over the last three years for uhaul rental and have had an easy experience both times. Super quick pick up and easy drop off, front desk person is nice and helpful.

This review is exclusively related to the U-Haul portion of Sunset Mini & RV storage. I will start with the good parts of this business. After interacting with the proprietors and various employees, they have by and large been pleasant to interact with. Rentals have been unremarkable if not always clean. My poor rating of this business has to do exclusively with their 100% markup of all U-Haul products. I just assumed their prices were the same as going to a full service U-Haul business. I only discovered this price gouging when I attempted to return some boxes after my last move, as every box suggests buy what you think you need and return what you dont use. Only Sunset does not allow returns. So I headed to Hillsboro and was stunned to get 50 cents on the dollar for every box I returned. And there, on the floor, the boxes were indeed half the price of what I had paid at Sunset. So if you need a truck, Sunset may be fine. But only go there for U-Haul products if money is no object to you.

I have been a customer for several years and appreciate the customer oriented friendly staff at Sunset Mini & RV storage. The only challenge is the waitlist can be long sometimes if you want to change into a larger or smaller space. This confirms that they know how to keep their customers.

They are a great! ! There’s been times I was struggling and they were so good to me . And it’s clean and very secure and well I can’t say enough. About them just rent rent rent there

My father rents a unit here, he is on a fixed income and received notice that the rate for his unit was going up $21 per month...less than a year into his rental. Is there no contractual obligation to hold the price? He has repeatedly asked to speak to someone in charge but continues to be ‘put off’ by the woman in the office. The reason for the increase was to be competitive however we have multiple examples of the rate being higher than nearby businesses. In addition in the ‘contract’ it says the unit should be 10x20 however it is only 19ft long. It’s been a very frustrating experience with no oneInterested in listening.

Our travel trailer has been stored at Sunset for the last year. It was a very pleasant surprise to find an available space at such a convenient location. Everyone at this family business has been very easy & nice to work with as well as accommodating in finding the right space for our trailer. Rates are very reasonable & we feel lucky to have found Sunset. Thank you!

I rented an U-haul from this location once. The service was fast and friendly. They also sell some moving good at the pickup location. Things like mattress protector and such. You can always call before going if you are looking for anything specific. Pricing is quite reasonable there. Drop off was also quite easy. They allow off office hour drop off, just leave the key in box outside. Very smooth process.

I stored my stuff in many places, and I can tell you the experience differed from ugly to pretty nice and depends, mostly, on quality of people, who owned or worked there. This is the nicest place Ive used so far.24 hours access, clean, spacious, secure facilities. Uhaul, for your convenience.I bought a new lock before using Uhaul here, for any case, but was pleasantly surprised that I didnt need it, because a lock is provided standard for all tracks here, as far as I know.Highly recommend

Called for a quote over the phone. Rate was good so I decided to come down in person to get more Information. Only this time the rate was $5 more expensive then the rate I received over he phone. They may be good at leering their customers in with that tactic but not going to work on me.

Worse place ever!!! Stole church money!!! I got help for a storage unit and uhaul. Called and Mike told me the church could write one check that covered the uhaul for 24 hours, one month storage, and some packing supplies. When I finally got the check, I went to get everything and bottom line.. THEY TOOK THE WHOLE CHECK BUT REFUSED THE UHAUL OR PACKING SUPPLIES,!!!!!!! SO I am stuck with a storage unit that I cant put anything in and they kept every penny!!!!!!!! Who does that to churchs and people in need?? They should have honored their promise, gave additional storage time, provided packing supplies, SOMETHING!!! INSTEAD THEY JUST SHRUGGED THEIR SHOULDERS BECAUSE I CANT GET ANY ADDITIONAL HELP RIGHT NOW!!! I have never seen anyone so unethical!!!

Great customer service; polite, helpful, and friendly staff; very good rates (and they dont raise as much or as often as major chain self-storage companies.

Packed way too tight. While the people there are friendly, I only stayed one month, and they still charged me for a second month due to their 30 day vacating policy. Not a nice way to do business in a local community, thus only 2 stars. Units are soo tightly packed, if the person next to you is close to their line with external mirrors practically over the line, it takes forever to pull your unit in or out of there.

Hard to navigate my 20 foot trailer and truck in the space provided. Uhaul trucks are parked to make gate access difficult. Not real clean. Price is middle range.

Staff were nice and professional, initial experience was good, but they expected the u-haul truck to be filled with gas to EXACTLY 7/8ths of a tank. I only drove the truck for max 20 miles, I added two full gallons back and the needle was on 7/8ths when I left. They called me and told me it was a single tick below and theyre now charging me a full $30 service fee and $12 worth of gas.What horrible customer service. I understand if I didnt refill the tank, but charging me $42 for a single tick is absolute crap. I could have filled the entire tank at Freddies for that price.The only way to for-sure get enough gas in is to fill the last 1/8th of way, essentially paying for someone elses gas. Either way, theyre screwing you out of gas money.I will NOT be using this service again.
