I have been visiting Paradigm Dental since I was a little girl. Doctor Rust is always attentive, thorough, and kind. I just had a teeth cleaning with Robin - a dental hygienist - and she was very lovely and did a fantastic job. Although I was overdue for a cleaning, she made me feel comfortable and not at all embarrassed about my situation. She really went above and beyond. This is a wonderful dentist office.

I took my 2 daughters to Paradigm Dental for the first time today. It was clean and the staff was quite welcoming. It became clear that they were running behind (tons of patients that are getting caught up post-COVID shutdown), but the staff were very open and honest about it, and gave sincere apologies.The x-ray tech had a great sense of humor and prioritized my comfort. The hygienist was quite skilled and didnt kill my gums! She was also SO GREAT with my kids. The dentist diagnosed me with an abnormality that Ive had since birth that no dentist has ever mentioned in 38 years. They werent pushy with follow up appointments, but made it very clear what our next steps should be.They gave the kids extra prizes and handed me some coffee gift cards as a thank you for our patience. This is what customer service is all about! Its what was lacking at my previous dentist, and Im so happy to have found Paradigm!

I had my first visit here today and as someone who has all sorts of dental problems and am more sensitive to pain, I couldnt have had a better experience. My filling fell out so, I was recommended by a friend to this location and dentist. My filling looks better than before and the staff and dentist were so incredible friendly and gentle. I dont live in Oregon although visit what I have always known as home at least once a year. I went into this office on my last visit with a broken tooth on my partial. They very graciously repaired it for me. The care and kindness I received (especially for not being a regular patient) made me want to ask about some more extensive work I was considering doing where I actually live outside of Oregon. So, after a consult with Dr.Rust I decided to make a plan and come back to Oregon in the spring to have him and his office staff do the work for me. Its just a feel good office and teeth are important so feeling comfortable with who is working on them is critical. See you in April doc:)

I have been to Paradigm dental twice. Once for a routine cleaning and once for Dr. Rusts first filling using a new laser technology. It was quick and easy and I didnt have to have my mouth numbed at all. With it being my first filling, it was as easy as it could be. The whole staff is nice and professional. I came to Paradigm Dental to see Dr Rust on the recommendation of a friend after my dentist of 20+ years retired. I loved my old dentist, so the bar was set high. Dr. Rust (senior) is one of my top 10 people on this planet. He and his staff make me feel so comfortable and at ease and remember thoughtful details about me. My teeth have always made me self conscious but after the dental care I’ve received at Paradigm, we established an affordable plan that has achieved the smile I’ve always wanted. Dana was creative and worked hard to get the insurance approval I needed, which was not an easy task. If I could write a separate review for each assistant, hygienist, technician, front office & billing member I would give all of them 5 stars. I love Paradigm Dental!

The office staff is not friendly at all and gives wrong information. After several months of dealing with insurance, this office and another dental office to coordinate the work that needed to be done and several calls over the 5 months I walked out after it was demanded that I pay my copay up front - mind you I was NEVER told that I had to come up with that money up front - they always did a payment plan - and I always made my payments - will never go back!!!!

Cleaning was quick and effective. It took less time that I expected. Dr Rusts repair of my filling was also stress free. Anethetic was expertly applied, I never felt the needle go into my gum. Getting the crown down to the proper level was much quicker and more precise that my previous dentist. I guess experience shows.

Had the opportunity to use a new laser device in use for (among other things) cavity removal. The entire process took about 12 minutes from sitting in the chair and I didnt even need local anesthetic! They always have the most updated technology and really show patients they care.

Im 30, and have been to the dentist twice 😳, and of coarse had my first tooth ache. They avoided a root canal, and gave me a cleaning for an unreasonably low price. Ill even post it, 150 bucks (with insurance)! For 2 fillings removed and replaced! One should have been a root canal, but they did an advanced procedure and avoided it. Its been about 6 weeks, and still seems to be OK. Additionally, and I wont lie at first it was odd, but it grew on me. During the procedure the assistant and dentist were just having routine office chat with each other how was the family get together last weekend. It was weird at first, but they werent talking to me, which was great I appreciated it. No one wants an awkward conversation while you can barely mumble anything. Additionally, after the procedure they both stayed and we all just chatted for about 30 minutes. Not about dentistry, but about my profession and they were genuinely interested. It was truly a good dentist experience, which going to the dentist in general is never a good time. They know with my work schedule that email is the most convenient way for me to communicate and set appointment, and they always respond same day. Its not an automated response, its an actual person, where after the fist email, the signature disappears.

Today I was introduced to a new laser assisted procedure, for a cavity that was above the gum line.Totally painless, and with NO injunction to numb the tooth. Sixteen months ago, Dr. Doug Rust performed a root canal on my father. The root canal was a tricky one, and in my opinion, he should have been referred out to an endodontist, but he was not. During the procedure, Dr. Rust hit a nerve while injecting the Novocain. This caused my father immediate pain and numbness.Fast forward to the present. My father’s health has declined dramatically. He is in constant pain that is so intense that it has affected his ability to work, to drive, and to simply enjoy life. My dad is my best friend and after this happened to him, I felt like I lost him. I’m devastated. He has constant numbness in his tongue and jaw and intense pain that shoots up the side of his head. The only time that he doesn’t feel the intensity of the pain, is when he is lying down. This has caused him to miss a lot of work and he stays home and sleeps most of his days away. He has lost a ton of weight and can hardly carry on a normal conversation. It’s awful.He has searched for answers. Scouring the internet, talking to and visiting multiple doctors, dentists, endodontists, and neurologists. He has lost hope and we are all scared. From what most have said, this is permanent. His next step is acupuncture, but from what I have read, the odds are not in his favor. Everyone continues to tell him that medication for his pain is the only answer and that scares him even more. He does not want to become dependent on pain medication.My dad loved to draw cartoons, golf, make people laugh, read, listen to music, and he loved to talk in great detail about the love of his religion. He also LOVED spending time with and talking about his four daughters and five grandchildren.Here is the deal. I know mistakes happen. I am human and I make mistakes all of the time. We all do. What matters most to me is HOW someone handles the mistake after it has happened.My family has been going to Dr. Rust since we (my sister and I) had teeth (I’m now 41 years old). He has never picked up the phone to even check in on my dad. My dad has had to come into his office to get documentation signed so that he can take more time off of work and in the beginning he was in there quite a bit trying to find answers. Dr. Rust is fully aware of what happened.Dr. Rust has shown that he simply does not care and that my dad is just a number. It honestly makes me sad because I cared about Doug, but it also infuriates me because my dad is my world. My dad is a good man and his life is ruined. The least Dr. Rust could do would be to call him and check up on him and offer to help in anyway he can.Oh, and to top it off, after this all happened, Dr. Rust continued to send him bills to pay. That one blew me away when I heard it.If I could give less than “one” star, I would. I do not recommend Dr. Rust to anyone. I’m absolutely heartbroken and I want my dad back...

This has to be the best place I have been to for dental work in all my 40 years of life. They were able to put a permanent crown on a tooth they did not prepare, and on a tooth I was previously told needed lengthening by another practice, all in the same day. I can not praise the entire staff here enough for how I have been treated. For the first time in my life I look forward to my next visit.

This place treated me well, made me relaxed, and is very helpful in making sure that not only are my dental problems fixed, but helped me develop a plan to avoid having further cavities in the future.Also, in getting my cavities filled, I think this was the most painless experience I have ever had, from setting the appointment to the actual drilling. Honestly, I was blown away by this place. Im super anxious when it comes to going to the dentist, and the staff was friendly and very good at making me feel comfortable and calm. It made the dentist office not seem like such a scary place to be after all! I was given a very thorough cleaning/exam, and got good advice on what to do as far as straightening my teeth, something I also went in for a second opinion on. They told me exactly what I would need to do, and gave me recommendations on good orthodontist to look into. I felt like all my questions were answered, and walked out feeling very hopeful and satisfied!

My teeth feel great when she is done. She also takes time to answer questions in detail. Dr. Rust came in and checked everything out along. My previous appointment was to replace a crown that had broken over the weekend. Dr. Rust and his assistant were efficient and yet took time to talk to me about things in general and specifics of what had happened with the broken crown. Since I am a bit of a coward about the dentist, I truly appreciate their caring attitude. They continual check to insure I am not in pain.

This was my second visit to Paradigm. They have fitted a new bite guard doing impressions. I have anxiety and pronounced gag reflex this is the first time I had impressions done without throwing up. That alone is amazing. I have a bridge that has been uncomfortable since it was installed. Dr Rust adjusted the bite and found a problem previously missed. He has me well on the way to a resolution.

Just had my first visit this morning at the ungodly hour of 7am, which is good for me due to my work hours, and everyone from the front desk to Dr. Rust himself were very pleasant and welcomed me with a smile and a handshake. Dr. Rust and his team are awesome!! Dr. Rust has the best and up to date technology like his Solea laser. No numbing required for fillings. He also has really good hands and an eye for esthetics. Suffice it to say, few would say that they had a fantastic experience at the dentists office... but I am pleased to say that I did!Having relocated to the Beaverton area within the past seven months, I visited Paradigm Dental yesterday for the first time for a cleaning and examination. I enjoyed a Sonicare cleaning which allowed for minimized scraping- something we can all agree is most definitely welcomed. X-rays revealed that I had developed two cavities- one on each side of my mouth- and a previous filling which needed attention. Dr. Brian Rust explained, in detail, what and why they needed to be addressed, and could accommodate me the next day if I was so inclined.During my appointment this morning for the aforementioned issues, I could not have been more impressed. To begin, the facilities are truly first rate and state-of-the-art. I was amazed at what has changed and improved in just the 14 months since my last visit to a dental office. Next, Dr. Brian Rust was professional, respectful and courteous on every level. What stood out was his willingness to walk me through the process of what was being done, and would further explain things when called upon to do so. He really knows his craft. Throughout the visit I experienced zero pain and was completely at ease. I think it fair that I also disclose that the dental bar had been set quite high many years ago as my uncle was a dentist, and had been mine well into adulthood. Dr. Brians services rivaled his, and I now feel like Ive found my permanent dentist.One final thought: the staff at Paradigm was truly wonderful. Best group in the world, I broke a tooth/filling and Dr. Rust and friends fixed it like new! Hes been my dentist since the 80s and I wont go anywhere else.

They accept Aetna insurance and had good reviews so I made an appointment. Everyone was very nice and explained things clearly, and the polishing part was the least unpleasant Ive ever experienced!

I have been using Dr. Rusts services for nearly 40 years and have never been disappointed. Yes, I have used others while temporarily based elsewhere but with terrible results and many corrections for poor work. Dr. Rust has literally saved my teeth!!!

Dr. Rust did my filling using the laser to do the prep work vs. the drill which meant I didnt need any local anesthesia. Therefore the time needed to do the filling and make adjustments to my bite was greatly reduced. The feeling without anesthesia felt uncomfortable, but bearable. It reminded me of a probe on a sore spot, but I wasnt worried because I knew Dr. would stop if the discomfort became a problem; it wasnt necessary to have him stop throughout the procedure. I would do it again given the choice.

I had not been to the dentist in years. Ive always had the worst experiences with the dentist. Making an appointment with them was so easy and they were so accommodating. Their lobby was so clean and beautiful. I was impressed right off the bat. As I walked to the room where I would be getting check out I was greeted by Charlie. She was so sweet and seriously made my experience so memorable. The dental hygienist was so gentle and thourough with my cleaning. The dentist came in and was so kind and had a great sense of humor. I had such a positive experience with this dentis from start to finish. I highly recommend this dentist office if you are feeling anxious about seeing a dentist.

I had a filling done today in one of my top incisors. Dr. Rust used their new laser system instead of the traditional dental drill to remove decay prior to the application of the filling. ALL WITHOUT ANESTHESIA. It was pretty incredible. I was in and out in about 20 minutes and there is no residual numbness. There was only minimal discomfort during the procedure that I would equate to the discomfort of an icy drink on this tooth before getting fixed. My tooth is A-OK and I actually got to enjoy my lunch today since I wasnt numb. Hooray!

This was my second time going in to the new place and so far its so good.. i love the people there they are so friendly and i love the dental assistant i thing her name was Peggy.. i cant rememeber. but any who, i love how she talks to me and my sisters,,, it was a very good experience.. keep up the good work.

I had a broken molar. They got me in right away, explained everything and extracted my tooth. I felt informed, valued, and most of all, No Pain. Thank you for taking care of me.Aaron Arnold

Ive been going to Paradigm Dental for at least 5 years. I just tried their new laser cavity tool, and its amazing! Cavity filled with no novacain, and with less pain than the novacain shot!

Dr Rust and entire office are wonderful. I have been going there for years and get top notch service and care!

Dr. Rust NEEDS TO RETIRE. I called this place because I had 2 months left on my health insurance and I needed to get dental work done in that time.THEY NOT ONLY LEFT ME WITH PAIN, BUT DISMISSED ME WHEN I SAID 3 TIMES THAT I HAD IT.Well guess what? Now I’m uninsured and I STILL have pain in every single tooth he touched. My chip repair is also somehow painful. How do you mess that up so badly?I also specifically said I can only do what my insurance covers and I have a 500 dollar bill from them.I hope you feel happy with yourself DR RUSTyou should be ashamed, but hey at least you got a new golf bag from a starving college student👍🏼

I have been going here for about 9 years. I love how professional yet friendly all staff are. They explain everything and let you ask questions without making you look like an idiot. I also love that they use cutting edge technology to make procedures easier on the patient. I used to hate mouth X-rays but now they dont bother me. The newest feature is the laser drill (?) used for fillings... for me the worst aspect was being numbed with the giant needle(I could never see it but it felt that way)... well I just had 2 fillings in less than an hour and no needles!

My son broke his tooth and the team at Paradigm Dental of Beaverton made my family feel very welcomed and taken care of. We were provided excellent service and care and it was by far one of the best dentist experiences we have ever had.
