First of all I do Not like to leave a bad reviews, but my experience with this specific gym was really bad, after paying $91.13 last week to upgrade my sister’s pass so I can go with her as a guest,,, We went today to the gym, the poor receptionist was about to hand us a mask cause I didn’t have one, but the Sales manager( Ahmad )was yelling from the back said no, I was like ok no worries I went bought masks and came back, I wanted to check in but the receptionist said that I didn’t have a pass, I told him I just signed up last week and I paid $91.13 initiation fees and $33.99 membership, he called a manager and here we are dealing with (Ahmad ) who was annoyed and welling to explain anything, obviously he has nothing to do with sales, I asked him about my account and wanted to get a membership, he asked me to pay $67 to add me as a gust with my sister, when I asked about the $91.13 that I payed last week, he said will refund that.I’m not confident that when I come next time that I’m not gonna have the same experience so decided to cancel and go to a different gym
Fitness and confidence are found here. 😃I really enjoy this club because of the layout, cleanliness, range in equipment and free weights.I attended as a VIP Guest with my Kiddo and ended up becoming a member myself. Let go of the internal intimidation, join this eclectic fitness community so you too can lift the things, and enjoy the foods.
The majority of the gym is excellent. The treadmills, bikes, and weight equipment were quite good. As a bonus, there are several nice racquetball courts, an indoor basketball court, and a 25m pool. From the perspective of the gym, there are three downsides. First, there arent any treadmills with negative inclines. Second, the stairclimbers are pretty cheap. Lastly, there arent many rowers (two), and they are also pretty cheap. The dressing rooms are nice except for the showers, which are a bit dingy.
Great place to get a workout in. I like going early mornings to avoid the crowds
Moving over from the 24-Hr Super Club in Tanasbourne, I had, what I consider to be normal standards of what to expect from L.A. Fitness. I recently got a membership for myself and my husband, however we both agreed that the Beaverton LA Fitness is quite possibly one of the worst gyms weve been members of. The club falls short in a number of areas.Im not sure if management will read this or care to change anything, but for prospective customers considering a membership, I wanted to provide some facts and share my experiences so far, having been part of the Beaverton LA Fitness for about a month:1) Miserably Apathetic Staff: The staff at this place badly need some basic training on what it means to be in a client facing role. From theGreeters to the membership staff, it looks like the place is run by zombies. They are least interested in engaging anyone who walks in through the door and have extremely disinterested attitudes while giving tours. Not exactly doing yourselves any favors by looking so miserable to be there. There is one guy at the front desk who is straight up like the Terminator, doesnt flinch a muscle or smile when greeted (Ive said hello each time Ive entered and scanned my code with a blank stare). Heres the thing- for a lot of people, it takes them a lot to motivate themselves to get mentally hyped, get dressed and drive to the gym. The least you would expect as a customer is to be greeted by a smile, or a simple hello, even if its fake and you hate your job.2) Outdated machines: While the layout of the gym itself is organized and spacious, the machines are old. They have two newer stairmasters but squeaky cardio machines with sticky residue on some.3) Lack of Class Variety: this was probably the biggest letdown for me personally, coming from 24 hour fitness, where they had a huge variety of classes and different class time offerings well into the evenings. I regularly did Bodypump and was sad to find that there was no similar option at LA fitness. They have a sparse offering of Yoga, Zumba, cycling and one other HIIT type class, but such few classes offered that there is zero flexibility if you are a working professional. I would urge LA fitness to consider adding more class offerings, emulating 24 Hour Fitnees offerings both in terms of time and class type variety.4) Terrible background music: granted, most people wear headphones/earbuds and listen to their own choice of music/podcast/training audio etc when they come to the gym, the music that plays in the background is terribly outdated. They can at least play a Top 40 radio station rather than have generic 90s gym tracks on loop that is fine if youre in the 50+ crowd. A change of music will honestly do wonders for improving the environment for a lot of young people.5) Hot Tub: The hot tub is a HORROR show. I caught a glimpse of it from the cardio machines upstairs and was so disgusted by what I saw- Im not sure if its rust or sand, temporary or permanent, but wow- if youre using that as a selling point to lure in members, you had better make sure its hygienically clean and doesnt look like its from the Upside down world on Stranger Things. I would never use it in its current condition and honestly not sure who does.6) Old Carpet: This has been mentioned in a few reviews already, but this club badly needs some remodeling in the form of replacing the nasty, tattered carpet. It is literally duct taped in some areas, the weight/cables room towards the back looks as unkempt as some peoples garages. Some new carpet would give it an instant facelift.Unfortunately we chose this club as it is closest to us for the basic amenities we were seeking, but I hope management or corporate considers making a few changes that would drastically improve the gym experience for the majority of members.
Great spot.Accepting quests if you are visiting from out of town.Super friendly staff with great customer service.Clean equipment with a wide variety of machinesParking is super easy and convenient.(Remember to validate)Highly recommend this location.
Decided to try out their free trial, since it’s fairly close to my house. I had a meeting with Ahmed to tour the facility. Upon arrival, he seemed nice but throughout the “tour” he seemed bored & unenthusiastic. He quickly showed me everything there was to show & when I asked questions, he seemed annoyed. During the tour, everything seemed to look fine, except the pool looked disgusting. I came back a few days to workout and I feel like they have the most outdated equipment. The keys on the treadmill were sticky and barely worked. They also had the TV’s on, but you couldn’t change the channel, so I had no other option but to stare at an infomercial. I asked the reception about the “free” personal trainer & she said I’d have to come back to make an appointment. Ahmed kept emailing me “offers” to join, but with all of the excessive fees, it’s too expensive.
UPDATE: wanted to give them proper recognition for what is a noticeable change in welcoming attitude and acknowledgment of guests. A simple “welcome”, “enjoy your workout”, “thank you, see you soon!” goes a long way. The staff and management deserves recognition! They are so much more engaged, it’s like night and day!PREVIOUS REVIEW: It gets the job done. Maintenance staff is amazing but when they’re off, staff and management do a poor job of walking the floor and noticing the members who refuse to wear masks. They tend to just stay at the front desk on their phones. Wish they were more attentive and greeted members, while also showing some enthusiasm about being there and cultivating a culture of being excited about fitness and wellness. Just no energy overall.
Hot tub was really nice after me workout machines were easy to use
Because they open way to late in the morning.i would like to get my gym started by 5am. so i can start on the rest of my day. i may have to find a new gym.
I really enjoy this gym the staff is always very friendly and welcoming I’m not sure if it’s a time I tend to go out but when I go which is around 3 o’clock the gym is always very clean and no hairs in the shower which is surprising for a women’s locker room! Cleanliness is pretty high and I really do appreciate the increase in sanitation bottles for wiping down materials
Great place for a workout, nice hottub and pool, and also Boxing room with mirrors!
I dont like leaving bad reviews, so I will delete this review after management sees it:I had a 4 day guest pass, showed up to the gym before the end of the 4th day and was told the pass expired. I really wanted to try the gym, so I asked the manager if I could pay for a pass. The manager (guy with red hair, not sure if he was a manager or not) told me no, I had to sign up for a membership. I really wanted to test the facility before commiting to a membership. The manager again told me I need to sign up for a membership. I ended up leaving and signed up for a different local gym.
Updated review: Im dropping one star due to- 1 of the 2 Stairmasters being broken- Unfriendly staff (apathetic at best, rude at worst)Pros:+ Respectable weight area - ample free weights and racks, benches (more than the Pearl location!)+ Lots of machines (that I dont know what to do with, but seem well-liked)+ Well-ventilated (doesnt smell like stale sweat!)+ Ample parking, convenient locationCons:- Outdated water refill stations (needs a faucet you can refill your water bottle instead of trying to fit the bottle under the drinking fountain)- Only 2 modern Stairmasters- Limited class selection (seems mostly geared towards older women)- Very little room to do warmups
Was told that there would be flexibility at the beginning of the pandemic and convinced to sign a contract. When the day came that I had to move across the country to tend to family, I was told that regardless of my situation, I need to either buy out my contract or ride out the $135 per month. Its been 6 months since Ive requested to have my membership cancelled and have accrued and paid (because they have my financial information) $810 in bills. The staff at the location is friendly, but the operating model is a scam. I would think twice before you consider signing a contract here. Dont be fooled and learn from my mistake.
My wife goes here. She enjoys it.
Clean and friendly. Easy to use app and check-in process.
Open again and still great place to workout and play Racquetball. With proof, dont have to wear mask.
Ive been going to this gym for a few years, and its definitely changed. When I started, it was more of a laid back gym that catered to a diverse range of people. Over the last year or so, its turned into more of a gym rat culture. You know the environment - packs of guys that cant lift any amount of weight without grunting and groaning so the whole gym can hear it...their buddies cheering them on and yelling WOOOOOOOO when they finish a set. Its not really my kind of scene. And forget about Covid. Staff makes very little to no effort to enforce proper mask wearing and social distancing. There are far too many people with masks below their noses, or even under their chin. And whats the point of disabling 1/2 the machines to encourage distancing if they just let the gym rats hang out in groups? It doesnt make any sense.
What brought me to this center was their top notch yoga instructor Jessica. Her classes are really outstanding. The center itself is not that great. For example their locker rooms are showing some ageing and even the studio where yoga classes are taught has no decent yoga props. This center is like a poor cousin of a nearby luxurious VillaSport. On the other hand, the basic membership is much more affordable and their smart phone app is really well designed and helpful.
Great if you love fitness clubs. But many amenities are closed due to quarantine still.
FALSE ADVERTISING!! Los Angeles is 971 miles away from here. Good equipment and tasty water
Okay to get your workout in, does not have any updated equipment and or training area is outdated and small for the size of its guest. Pool and basketball areas are fine.
I came to this club with hopes that I was going to be working with a well trained and empathetic group of trainers. While I must say that the trainer that I personally worked with whose name is Brendan was great, the same cannot be said about the Head trainer Ian or the way the business is run. You get a one hour trial training session that I figured I should take advantage of. After a challenging workout I sat down with the head trainer and I asked about the monthly personal training membership. He seemed very honest with his intentions but then again you can never really know what someones true intentions are. He told me that you pay 200 a month for 1 training session a week. That sounded good to me I signed up. He did slightly mention that this was a 12 month contract but I was never given the opportunity to read the contract or really ask questions because he rushed me through pages and pages of signing and initialing. I later find out the sessions are for 25 minutes. 1 25 minute session a week and by then the only way to cancel was by buying out the rest of the contract. Which I did because I DID NOT agree with the way he presented the membership to me and that there were things he did not tell me that he should of. I just want people to know this before signing up with their personal training because its unfortunate that such a popular gym operates in this fashion.
Pretty nice gym and affordable. No yearly contract but the payment structure is weird like with most gyms. Basically its 30/ month with an initial payment of 135. Then a yearly fee of 49 dollars. Really screwy. And they will try to get you to hire one of their personal trainer. Way overpriced for what you get and youre locked into at least 3 months with those.
Sales person acted like I was hobo and pretended not to be able to give me a free pass.
Large and good fitness and iron hall, and there is a swimming pool and boxing hall
With all these bad reviews is making me rethink about getting a membership here, and these are recent reviews too.
Any way we could replace 3 people for a turnstile? Save some $ and less unhappy customers.
Very clean and well maintain.
Only 1 squat rack; How is this possible? No straight bars to do Calisthenics. Carpets are old. This particular gym is always packed on top of being one of the smallest LA fitness in the area by footprint. If you can, hit another one.
Great place to get started or level up with your fitness goals. Clean, organized, and professional. The trainers, especially Ahmad Jaber, are incredibly helpful, happy to help, and will definitely get you further than you expected. Couldn’t thank them enough!
Keep sending me emails about how safe their club in and to come back. This is a pandemic. Your gym is not safe. Ive tried to unsibscribe but your system wont let me. You should remain closed till we have this under control
I would give it 5 stars if they had punching bags like other locations. Other than that its clean and has lots of equipment. Staff is friendly and most people are respectful.
The pools been closed for quite sometime now and thats the only emendity I got a membership for. And not to be able to shower either is a true shame. Takes away my whole reason coming. And paying my money for that matter.
This place is just a mess
U still cant shoot basketball but the racket ball courts are open. With 4 people playing. Crazy
This location is fine, the staff are friendly and equipment was rarely not working. That said I am giving this a 1 star as a franchise. The audacity of this place to open up and force their members to either come back and risk infection or pony up the money for the account is absurd right now. The worst part? Their directions for freezing the account online just dont work, I dove into the page source code to try and find that link to freeze m account so I could come back and nothing.I ended up canceling my membership, and because of the above I will likely not come back and urge others to find better, possible local, gyms to give money to instead.
Thats was awesome gym
Nice gym.
Still SMOKEY INSIDE! Wildfire smoke being pumped in via front door and HVAC unit. Still better than 24 and their 1 hr limit.
Very friendly and helpful.
Love this gym. Im a gym Rat from why back and LA fitness is open clean and friendly. Thanks for being there for use LA Fitness.
WOW! These guys have been charging us the ENTIRE TIME during the pandemic! While theyve been closed! I am absolutely appalled and livid. If the owner responds, spare me your more than likely canned response. You had no right to charge people to use your facilities while youve been closed. Im sure were not the only ones youve done this to.
Good gym. Nice staff and trainers, still unable to use most the extras like the pool and courts.
Same experience as many of the comments below about the poor attitude of the staff. Have seen Ahmads name come up numerous times, and I agree... hes rude and self-serving. Overall, its just not the friendly, warm experience you expect and should have with something as simple as a gym.On the other hand, Liam is great. Have to give a shout out to him because he is the exception.
Expectations were too high
Great group classes. Jessica and Janet are amazing. All of the fitness instructors do a good job. The pool, hot tub and sauna ate a great bonus for only 25.00 a month. I was going to crunch and am so glad I switched gyms.
It looks nice from the outside but sorry everyone I didnt get to go inside.
Overall this location is good. Staff is friendly. I wish they would skimp a little less on the cleaning staff though. Not that the gym is dirty, far from, but there is only ever one person doing it at all times. LA fitness is too rich to not have more than one person doing it. I also wish they would do towel service. I think I got spoiled from my gym in college. Dixon at OSU is probably second only to the MAC club in Oregon. So its hard to move on from it. This location has just about everything to get what you want done but they do lack in some areas. I cant seem to find any stretch bands. They dont have an anterior tibia machine. They also have far too many Smith machines. They also have two of the unsafe half squat racks that dont adjust the safety bar, so short women and men cant do a full squats there. By unsafe style I mean one side of the rack is completely open, so if you fall backwards the weights will go with you. If they got rid of half of the Smith machines and the unsafe racks, replaced them with more multipurpose full cage racks, the place would run more smoothly for all.Just an FYI, if you use Smith machines and are not doing so because a PT told you to, you really should stop. Smith machines were invented for PT purposes and really detract from building stabilizer muscles on whatever exercise you are doing. Not here to judge what you do, just a helpful tidbit.Anyway! This location also has no lifting platform with padding or bumper plates. Those would be nice additions. They have the room but the space was designed poorly. They also have plenty of room for more stretching mats but they definitely dont have enough for the amount of people that frequent here.Look overall though everyone should be able to go here and have a good workout and get it done. You cant expect corporate fitness places to be ideal unfortunately.
I called the day I made an account because I noticed I was overcharged. Ahmad assured me I wasn’t so I trusted that it was taken care of. I looked on my account this morning and yet another overcharge. This is ridiculous. I called the gym and of course no one can take care of it until later. This is so disappointing and one of the reason stopped going to the gym to begin with. Seriously the membership staff needs to be trained better.
Great setup for a smooth workout. I went to this gym at a busy hour but I still had an easy time accessing machines, benches and equipment.
Great gym, not great classes. Need better, more reliable and steady staff for cycling. Would be happy to change rating to a 5 star if they make some changes.
The gym is very well maintained. The pieces of equipment remain in their designated locations and the weights are well organized. The gym has all the free weights, squat racks, machines, etc. that you would want. Also, if you have any questions just ask Blake and hell take care of you. Hes great at his job and really cares about the gyms customers.
Place was not clean. Is definitely not motor chair accessable. Carpet on any workout floor is disgusting when some sweat puddles. Equipment was not in good condition and not spaced properly for a wheelchair. On a good note, it is scheduled for remodeling.
Just recently joined and no complaints so far. Its always pretty clean and the staff is friendly. Love that layout and that there is a sauna and plenty of equipment. If they had a shake bar, Id give 5 stars. If they had a steam room Id move in... ;)
I came in to renew my membership with, Jenny. She tried to run my card in the beginning without even telling me the price. She told me at first it’d be $19.99 then 39.99 then finally she told me it would be 89.99. She kept mentioning a, “freezing fee” which she failed to explain until I finally kept asking her what it was. Don’t get a membership here if you’re planning to get up charged after returning from Vacation
Clean but the pool is cold
Very clean facility and the general manager is kind, but also straight to the point which what I look for in customer service. The personal trainer, Jordan, was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him if someone is needing a trainer. Overall, wonderful Gym where you are not judged for where you start out at your fitness journey.
Most equipment is older & not very clean. If a Planet Fitness or Workout Anytime was closer, Id use that, but location, location, location. Ive gone to other local gyms that are friendly and attentive, but this place has a lot of turnover. You wont get a personal experience, but a decent place to work out. I wish the staff was more proactive about people sitting & hanging out on equipment on their phones-drives me nuts.
I always had good experience going there and leaving my child in the daycare. Today this girl named Jessica was in the daycare. She was not welcoming at all. There was one kid crying and she did nothing, did not try to console her and left her crying. I left my 1yo there and came right back to see how he is doing. He was crying and looking for me. That girl did absolutely did nothing to console him. Did not console him or tried playing with him. She is just not fit for the position. I will be talking to the manager regarding this.
I love the pool
The staff was friendly. The facility was clean and well maintained. Got a variety of gym equipment. Great location.
Who ever wrote the horrible review on kayla is dead wrong!!! She carries herself with a sense of pride and a maturity is far beyond her years. Her sale records are off the chart and the any new members that are signed on by her will say the same. She is very personal, kind, and professional, as well as dedicated!! She puts in 60 hours a week at times!! if you are looking to sign up at this gym please ask for Kayla!! And as far as the gym atmosphere, I have made so many friends with the staff, they are kind and helpful and really do make the most out of this humble little gym for their members.
I have been training with Carrie at this location and am so happy I was paired with her. She is patient, thorough, fun to work with, and pushes me to the max!
Good gym. Other LA Fitness locations have a better layout somehow. Anyways, much better than 24h fitness.
I used to go here and unfortunately had left. The engagement from employees is just not there. They have the equipment, the space, it’s clean but it’s the people element that’s missing. It’s easy to walk in and feel like a transaction. I would tell management to watch your front desk people because you need to make sure these guys/girls are making your guests feel welcome and a part of that gym culture otherwise it’s just a rotating door of lost clients. Good luck though!
Staff is always welcoming and equipment is on par. Love the trainers.
I really enjoyed my membership at LA Fitness and was sad to leave. Recently, I received an email offer and decided I would renew my membership but had some questions about the offer details. Spoke to forgotten name(says he is the GM) and started our phone conversation with wassup bro which is whatever, but the more I talk to him I feel like ok cool, I can overlook the lack of professionalism that plagues most gyms hiring kids off the street however, when I dont get a call back and follow up not one but three attempts to contact this person, I get crickets... look this is a nice facility but poorly operated and managed to a degree that the memberships could be free and Id pass.. Good luck
Needs more basketball courts. But overall a good gym.
I love everything about it except the hours. I wish it was open more on weekends.
Ive been a member for almost three years and mostly use the pool. Also did personal training for one year with Kenny who was helpful, supportive and nonjudgmental. One thing I would change about this gym is leaving a lap lane open during water aerobics classes.
I came here to workout with a guest pass for a day. There is a lot of equipment, but much of it is old. My biggest complaint was the heat was turned on quite high, and it felt like a hot yoga studio. Not good for working out. The locker rooms require you bring your own locks. There just aren’t many amenities here, and other low price gyms such as planet fitness are just better places to get a workout
Big parking lot, clean facilities, nice machines and always open treadmills, easy sign up.When I moved away from this location they fought me on canceling my membership. I wanted to cancel over the phone because I wasn’t near this location anymore. It was a whole hassle involving having to get a new credit card number from my bank. I u understand a policy is a policy, but there needs to be exceptions and throughout the whole process the staff was straight up rude to me.
Be weary of Kayla, she will not “hook u up” she has been rude to me on several occasions. And will only respect you if she is selling you something. Or if you’re near her boss who seems to have a weird relationship with her. These two come in and leave together constantly, more than coworkers ever should. Not to mention- This club is now recently Run by what seems to be a clique of high school students. Disrespectful, irresponsible and not able to understand how to treat people in a customer service industry. Particularly Kayla has a negative attitude and a face that says she doesnt wanna be here. I have only gotten a hi/ smirk when I was with a male friend. Many of my female friends say the same, she walks around with a dull personality not something you would expect in a gym. Professionalism includes several aspects, it involves putting aside your own insecurities and treating others with the respect they deserve for being a PAYING member. Today, there was a period of probably 2hrs before a manager showed up. The staff used to be impeccable. I was excited when I joined for this reason. I thought it would be a drama-fee gym. It was. Then new staff showed up. Im debating making a longer trip like a friend I know because he felt the same way when he got here and was shocked by the staff. I highly recommend the Torrance location! Ive heard amazing things about the staff. This location makes me want to come less and less every time I come in. Kayla the sales girl WILL NOT GREET YOU, SMILE AT YOU OR MAKE EYE CONTACT. I can’t understand why?? And if youre a female chances female staff sadly might feel threatened by you just doin you. So disheartened by how this gym is going down. :/To the reviewer with one review; you’re doing a great job not giving away that you’re somehow affiliated with this person. Members are not supposed to know how many sales these kids have. And if you have been told so that in itself is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate!! The fact that you only have one review and you only pick one person to divulge too much information on is what is A dead giveaway:) oh and you’re right. This girl is way too prideful. So much so she cannot set it aside in order to do her job well, so I would not say it’s beyond her years at all lmao.
Good place to get back in shape!
Great gym
Love this club. Reasonably price and kept really clean. Only bummer is pool is down right now because of a leak.
Very nice new gym with okay membership prices. Free weights and machines, lots of cardio, group exercise and a basketball court. They have personal trainers of course and I believe they had a couple racquetball courts too.I was really hoping the sales staff would be willing to negotiate prices but I went with another gym in town with better deals.
I like the flexibility of being able to run on a treadmill, bike on a spin bike, play basketball, go for a swim or do a weights workout, all in the same place. The initial fee is a bit steep, but the $30/mo is reasonable for what they have to offer. Classes are free with the membership.
Large, clean gym. Lots of equipment of different varieties. Does get crowded during peak hours but atleast more people are trying to be healthy right? One of the nicer clubs that I have been to. Pool seems clean, sauna and hot tub are nice. Paying the same amount per month that I was paying at planet fitness for way more. Parking lot is a little wonky but really not that bad. Worth checking out if your shopping around.
Its very clean LA fitness. It doesnt get over crowded. Nice staff and patrons. Recommend it.
Ill write about my cancellation experience. The gym itself is fine, slightly older equipment, but whatever. The fact that they charge for use of the racquetball courts is a little petty but whatever. The reason I cancelled my membership was because I went in one day and asked to cancel our 10 dollar (!) a month membership for the kids club that we hadnt used a single time. So rather than just cancelling it and saving the account, they said I need to come in on a weekday between 9 and 4 and speak with the operations manager directly. I thought that was a little ridiculous, so my wife and I went through the whole process of writing them a letter to head office requesting a cancellation. They cancelled account, but then we STILL got billed for kids club. So we got billed for a service that we couldnt use because the accounts were cancelled. To their credit, they refunded us, but if we hadnt noticed that charge on our account, we would have just been billed in perpetuity. These guys are crooks.
Its conveniently located. Id say even though the equipments are not as new its fairly clean gym. Ive been going here for a few years now. But the manager here is little too much. My boyfriend was trying to check out the gym so he can start going to the gym with me but the manager here was really pushy. He kept coming go talk to us whenever he gets a chance. I understand he wants to sell but little obnoxious. So he decided to join another gym instead. Id say thats really unfortunate
Worst management any gym could ever haveThey are rude .. I had a problem with my membership she told me to wait a minute to figure it out and then I see her after 7 minuets leaving !!Every person tells u something different that u get confused. It’s a good place to waste your money if ur trying to do that.
The Gym itself is nice but their kids club staff is absolutely terrible! Every time my daughter went in their we had issues. I walked in on the one childcare worker sitting Down while another child was tanning on my child’s hair and my daughter was Screaming and the worker didn’t even look. Terrible. I advise you DONT bring your children here
Having been an LA fitness member for 5 years, was not overly impressed with the service or cleanliness of this location. Equipment was about average. Hot water in bathrooms was only lute warm.
STAY AWAY!!This is an extremely disgusting place! I tried coming for a yoga class. Yoga mats are uncleanable and who knows when theyve been clean. I asked and there was no way to answer the question. THEY WERE SHOCKED THAT A PERSON ASKED FOR A WAY TO CLEAN THE MATS. That screams volumes or how often they must be cleaned. I was left feeling bad I wanted to do yoga on a clean mat. There is no spray bottle to clean them with. They have a foaming station that it takes 40 pumps of foam to squirt on a paper towel 10 ft long to clean for in of your yoga mat. I literally counted the number of pumps and the number of foot long squares of paper towel it took to clean 4 inches of the mat. The staff person insisted that meant it was clean. When I said no that was just 4 clean on a 12 square foot mat. She said then you just have to come back over and over again until its cleaned. The mats are encrusted with other humans filth. Theres no where to your swimsuit dry so you walk out with soaking wet items.Just a million things wrong with this place. Try another and better place.
One of the busiest gyms I have ever been too. It seems like no matter when you arrive this gym is busy. It also doesnt have TVs on each machine so they want to you tune your radio (who has one of those) to a station to listen.
Just like everyone else says, great place with terrible staff. They literally harass you to leave the gym 20 minutes before they close. The front counter people are young kids and are always very unprofessional when I go in. Trust me Im not there for the staff, I go there everyday but damn get some better staff members that actually care about your business.
Nice comfortable place to workout with good equipment and Shayna is one of the best water aerobics instructors Ive ever taken class from. Easy parking at generally friendly staff and a lot of regulars.
L.A. Fitness charged me a number fees not disclosed in their membership agreement. They also billed me for about three months after I cancelled. They aggressively solicit memberships and personal training services but make it deliberately difficult to change services or cancel. It worked. I gave up after about three hours of trying to find a live operator and just let them keep the money.
Awesome place to work out and great deals! No contract is really nice as well! All the classes are included too so yeah I am very happy :)
Excellent water aerobics class. Pool to cold. No elevator to second floor for handicap clients.
Clean, machines are in good repair. They do tend to get pushy about selling you on a trainer when you sign up, but otherwise all employees are very helpful. Pool, spa, sauna, plenty of showers, always well looked after.
I started my weight loss journey over a year ago. I cane in thinking I was going to be judges and mocked. Rebecca, the GM.made me feel like I belonged and Laura, the assistant GM, always makes me feel like i am always welcome. Bree, the trainer, is really great at motivating you. I am proud to say that in the past year I have lost 110 lbs and I feel great. I could not have done it without the support and motivation I receive here.
So i have 2 separate reviews, one of the facility and one of my personal trainer.Facilities: 4/5The facilities are decent. The have enough equipment that they service regularly. It would be nice if it was a little larger just because its a busy area. The womens bathroom service could be better. Since Ive started there has been 1 of 5 toilets sill needing service. It would be nice if they had bottles for spraying down equipment instead of hand sanitizer pumps. Overall, decent gym.Personal Trainer: Lumpai 5/5I am getting back into working out and Ive been working with Lumpai for about 3 months. Shes only given 25 minutes of time per a session but shes very effective at getting things done. Also when I needed to change the workout due to injury I got outside of they gym, she was very flexible. Now at this point she is super caring and she wants to make sure I dont re-injure myself. I think Lumpai is hardworking and very friendly!
