Terrific dental practice. The folks there were wonderful, especially considering I am a big wimp when it comes to seeing the dentist! Made seeing the dentist easy. I wont say a pleasure as it is one of the least favorite things I have to do! Great practice!

Great service! Usually a new patient consultation requires you to make a whole new appointment for a cleaning, but they did it then and there. The staff was nice and helpful too. I even got a little goodie bag with dental related things.

We love this Dentist! The whole staff was wonderful with my 10, 5, and 3 year old children. I had to have a filling recently, the dentist told me I needed novacain, and I didn’t even feel the needle stick in my gum, he is that good. Highly recommend

My experience with Donovan Family Dentistry has been fantastic. Thanks to Miranda I was able to get an early appointment as I had severe teeth abscesses in my mouth and needed immediate help. When I arrived, Tara took excellent care of me and explained in detail each step she was taking any why it is to my benefit. Once Dr. Koolkin saw me, his diagnosis and subsequent treatment saved me from an emergency visit to the hospital. There are not enough superlatives to thank these guys and I deeply appreciate all that they have done for me.

I’m moving to Beaufort, as my wife and I have been building a home for the past two years. Anyway, I’m having an issue with a tooth, and my wife calls to see if they can see me. Well, the office staff bends over backwards to get me in. I meet the dentist, Dr Koolkin......he’s so professional. He explains everything, in detail. And, you know he’s being honest. I wish all the sub contractors I met building a home were as conscientious as this Dr. I’m afraid of the dentist a bit, but they make it easy. I’m glad I found them. Thanks! A great experience.

I usually cant describe going to the dentist as being pleasant, but my first visit at Donovan Family Dentistry was just that, pleasant. Upon arriving at the office for my cleaning appointment, I was welcomed by a very pleasant receptionist and given paperwork to fill out. As soon as I was finished with my paperwork, the hygienist escorted me to her room for what I must say was the most painless cleaning I have ever had. When my cleaning was completed, Dr. Donovan came in to perform my dental exam. He was very thorough and informative, and I had an excellent oral cancer exam. When I left the office, my teeth felt wonderful and there had not been any pain. I look forward to my six month appointment, which I have never said before!

I am a nervous dental patient--but Dr.Koolkin and Tara worked together as a well oiled machine to get my dental work completed thoroughly and promptly. I appreciate the attention to detail and comfort, and am glad to be returning to such a great office in a few weeks for my second follow up appointment.

I have been to a lot of different dentist over the course of time and I must say doctor Donovan is the best. His staff is also awesome never have an issue with anyone there. I would also like to Doctor Donovan and his staff I am able to eat foods that I havent been able to eat for years. I tell everyone I know about him.

I have never been to a better dentist thanDr. Donovan. He and his staff are kind and caring, concerned and accommodating. I first metDr. Donovan a number of years ago when I had called my own dentist because I had an excruciatingly painful toothache and was told that he could not see me that day. I called Dr. Donovan‘s office and he made room for me to get in within 10 minutes… He gave me an injection and wrote me a prescription for amoxicillin and in no time I was doing 100% better! Brenda, his oral hygienist, is wonderful. Normally I dread going to the dentist, especially to get my teeth cleaned, but not anymore! Bonnie, the receptionist is so kind and also perceptive… She knows my voice when I call and Can always make room to get me in. If it were possible to give this office 10 stars, I would do so! They are great!

Outstanding care, as always. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, building is bright, clean, and happy. Hygienist and Dr Donovan both were thoughtful and careful with my need to take breaks during cleaning due to TMJ, and recommended practical solutions to help with pain!

I had an emergency appmt to replace a lost crown. It involved an extraction and a temporary bridge, a procedure that requires 1.5-2.0 hrs to complete. Not only did they fit me in to their busy schedule with 2 hrs notice, but Dr Koolkin is an expert who takes great care to explain every step of the entire operation. I would highly recommend him and Donovan Family Dentistry to anyone in need of dental work.

My visit with Dr. Donovan was awesome. I was looking for a dentist who did not make me feel like I was in a factory, being rushed in and out with a huge bill that you have no idea what it entails. His staff is very warm and friendly. Everyone made me feel extremely welcome. I have found the dentist that will take care of my teeth for years to come.

I feel very well taken care of with Dr. Donovan. His hygienist did a great job, and Dr. Donovan actually examined my teeth, unlike my previous dentist. Also, no one is trying to sell you something, which was my complaint about the dentist I left. Five stars!

We drive from Okatie to Donovan Family Dentistry, so that should say something! Three of our four family members see Doctor Donovan. Our youngest will see him when she is old enough. As a busy family, with 2 FT careers, a teenager in HS and a toddler, they are ALWAYS able to get us in and with the text message appointment reminders, we NEVER miss an appointment. Love them!

I was a little nervous going in for a cleaning since I had not been to the Dentist in 3 years. Dr. Donovan and his staff were very friendly and put me at ease. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in the Beaufort area and have already referred many friends his way.

I was visiting Beaufort from Australia when I developed an extremely painful tooth ache. I emailed several dentists late at night. Dr Donovan phoned me that night and arranged to see me the next day even though it was his day off. When I saw Dr Donovan, it was clear he was highly skilled and professional as well as being a really good bloke. I cannot speak too highly of him. Following his treatment my tooth calmed down and I was able to enjoy the rest of my trip.

I had a super crazy tooth breaking incident and Dr. Donovan worked me in and fixed my tooth in under an hour. I am TERRIFIED of going to the dentist but he was so nice, talked me through the whole procedure and I am so grateful. I think hes the best Ive been to...

First time visit to this Dentist Office. Laura (my Hygenist) was awesome, gentle, and explained what she was doing or going to do as she cleaned and polished my teeth. Had x-rays done. Dr. Donovan was phenomenal, explained in detail regarding my concerns and purpose of my visit. Met and exceeded my expectations. The absolute favorite take-away from this visit was the very thing I cannot stand about going to the Dentist, and that is normally the upsell and pressure to get this done and that done. None of that here, they let you know what concerns they see, and guide you from there. They are not trying to sell you a New Smile, Whiter Teeth, etc. Give this practice a try. You will be so glad you did!

I WOULD NOT recommend Donovan Family Dentistry....I could go into an in depth detail, which I may just come back and do so.....I was very disappointed with the treatment (or the lack of) with the amount of pain that I was in when I went I for my appointment..... stay tuned
