Services here literally changed my life. I can proudly say that Im a completely different person than I was when I first started. I have BPD, was in a really bad place mentally, and came here for the DBT program before the pandemic started. Although the program is no longer open at this time, it needs to be said that they did a phenomenal job in how it was arranged, being sensitive yet helpful and validating. The group environment was such an enlightening experience that Im proud to have been a part of, and met the people I did. Amy, Vanessa and Vickie were terrific teachers, and it was obvious how much they cared about everyone involved. I worked very hard in my one on one services with Amy O. for a couple of years, and she transformed my life and outlook in general in so many ways. I will be eternally grateful for how she and the other counselors in DBT helped me and made me want to keep fighting. The receptionists have also always been very kind to me and helpful in moments of crisis, which is more than a lot of offices can say, in my opinion. I owe it all to you. Thank you, MPA!
I absolutely love Rachel Prentzler everything about her is helpful all the way down to the setup of her room. She listens to you and gives great advice and resources to go out and better yourself. As for the other guy complaining about Morgan that works there he’s rite. That woman made it seem like i was all wrong and the other person was all rite. These people have also been seeing my Daughter for quite some time. Their helpful in a sense of helping your children mentally yes. But when it comes to things that go on in the home they’ll make your kids become your enemies and CPS will be knocking on your doors parents be warned.
Ive been coming here for a few years and have only had good experiences. Ive seen a few different therapists who work here due to changing work and life schedules and they have all been very accommodating - letting me switch back to my original counselor when my schedule changed. Everyone there is very professional and genuinely invested in helping you. The therapists Ive seen are very understanding and open minded when it comes to queer and trans topics as well as different family and relationship dynamics. Ive found the environment to be very affirming and validating of my life and experiences. One concern I have with MPA is the waiting area. It often feels cramped and can be a bit overstimulating with loads of kids and a movie playing in the background. Obviously, the children are there to receive services as well, but it would be nice if there could be a separate, quiet area for those who need a little less excitement while waiting.
Great people to work with! If you don’t know... Just ask!
I loved it there for my daughter!! Everyone is very nice! My daughter has high functioning autism and got diagnosed at age 9 and we’ve been having trouble finding places that would do aba with her because of that and insurance. Chelsea Casscadon a phycologist there went above and beyond to help us with getting my daughter services and now she will finally be starting aba!! I can’t thank Mpa enough!!!💕
