I am a small business owner, recently used Formosa when I had a hard-drive fail. This company was able to recover my data and get me back in business by the next day, and for a reasonable price. Over the next few months I brought in each computer in the office, one at a time, for upgrades and cleaning. The turnaround was quick each time, and charges continued to be reasonable. Bought a printer here also, again, I was satisfied with the price. Im not a computer expert by any means but Ive built computers in the past, so I know enough to understand what is going on; everything including cost was reasonable and explained satisfactorily, no hard sell for anything extra beyond what was needed. I was very pleased with the customer service as well. Im usually hesitant to put reviews, but this place went above and beyond. I dont have any reservations in sending family and friends here; I have sent several people here and their experience was good also.

Mr. Mike was very professional and helpful. Unfortunately could not afford to let him retrieve the data from my laptop’s fried hard drive, but he did replace it with a new one and it works well now. I took my gaming computer in to get fixed and they did a great job! He took everything apart and cleaned it very well. He was able to fix it in a couple of days and I saved over $80 by going to Formosa instead of Best Buy. Very nice people and professional.

We had a very good experience with Formosa Computer Service and Repair. Mr. Mike recovered data from my broken laptop and was able to put everything onto my new laptop. He set up my new laptop where it is easy to use. I brought an external drive that had failed during the last hurricane in to see if he could get it running again. After $130 all I got was the drive removed from the casing, an $18 USB to SATA cable and him hurrying me out the door when he realized I wasnt going to write him a blank check to do a cursory inspection of the problem. I get that data recovery is good money to many companies, but he wouldnt even do the work to replace the donor board. I will scream from the rooftops to anyone who will listen to stay away from Formosa. Maybe the worst part is I got hustled by a guy with a smile on his face and the veneer of competent expertise.

Excellent service! Would not have been happier to bring my computer here. They helped me out so much and from now on I will bring all my electronics here. Better to bring It locally to Mr. Mike, who is honest and helpful, than to get somebody on the internet that you don’t know.

This guy has almost everything computer related you might need! If he doesnt, he can get it for you pretty quickly. He also does service and upgrades. He has fixed both my gaming PC and my work laptop for me several times. No BS and runaround like you get at Best Buy. Yeah, you could save a few $ ordering stuff online instead of buying from him but his knowledge an professional attitude far outweigh a few pennies in my pocket. He also handles upkeep, repair and sourcing for small to mid cap businesses and Govt.

My computer stop working because of the hard drive problems, I did take it to the apple shop and they told me to fix the problems will charge me about over $800, and of course they suggested me to get a new one. After that I searched online and I saw 5 stars reviews for this place, and my computer got fixed about very reasonable price and it works faster like new, I’m very happy with the results and will strongly recommend for everyone. I will definitely go here again if my computer has any problems in future.

I never knew how good Mike at Formosa Computer was until one of those remote companies got into my machine to do a proprietary change on a software program. Where the heck did you get a computer with this kind of power? he asked me when I told him it was a custom build by a local company here in little old Baton Rouge. Funny anecdote. One if Formosas upgrades was too good. I was used to waiting briefly for the machine to buzz and churn on a certain command. With the new hardware Mike sold me, and installed it, the speed was so fast that I didnt realize the program was doing its thing in a blink.

Great quality work for a decent price. The owner told me what was wrong with my computer in just a few hours after i dropped it off. He gave me a few suggestions on what he could do to fix the issue and how much it would cost depending on what I decided to go with. He will give you a fair price on the work needed to be done. Likewise he was the business I sent our business work because I knew it would be handled responsibly. He is very humble, honorable, and man of integrity given his intellectual capacity and abilities to diagnose and resolve problems. I never shop the box stores because it not worth my time and peace of mind to not know who Im conducting business.
