Left my other hair salon/stylist and was searching for someone new... I was nervous and found good reviews of this place. Lindsey gave me an AWESOME pixie haircut. She was SO careful to do exactly what I asked and kept checking in throughout the cut/style to verify. She even noted what she did so next time I came in, shed remember (something my old hair stylist never did). She was incredibly personable and the experience felt like a get together with a good friend!The person that greeted me when I came in was super nice... And I was wished a heartfelt good day from a gentlemen with the most well-kept beard Ive ever seen. I took note and my husband will be visiting for a good ol barber shop cut and beard trim now.The whole atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Cant wait to come back!

Taylor did an amazing job, and I made her day to boot giving her possibly the easiest cut shes probably had in a while. She was so excited and giddy and if Im in the area again in the future Ill be more than happy to have her do my hair again.

I got my haircut here for the first time on Saturday 11/28. I had been going to a barber who used clippers all over and what I ended up with was too short of a haircut, that was also choppy. Taylor did a great job on my hair and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Its the best haircut I have had in a very long time.

Love them!! Haley is my girl!! When I moved to BR and didnt know where to go, I chose them because they were close to my office. I was crossing my fingers that it would be an okay experience. Lucky for me, it was excellent. Almost 2 years later, Haley is still my gal. In the last 9 months or so, she has helped me transform from dyed hair to my natural (which is becoming more gray), but it has been a beautiful transition.

I love this studio because the stylists actually listen to you and take their time making sure to get your hair the way you want it. They offer a beverage as soon as you sit down. Friendly and clean place. It is expensive, though. I got a shampoo, cut, and diffuse for my curly hair for 50. No coloring, no special styling. But I dont mind paying for the confidence that youll get the best results each time.

Had the underneath of my hair shaved and a design created in the shaved area and it was amazing Ive had lots of compliments and will definitely go back.

This is definitely the place to go. Mr. Garrett is definitely a owner who cares about his business. He is there doing hair as well. He is constantly in tune with his business. He is watching and listening to what is going on in his shop. He is always watching the other stylist and making sure that the work is quality. He saw and recognized that we were new clients and came and introduced himself and when we were leaving he thanked us for coming in and filled us in if upcoming events that they offer and what services they offer. Emma was our stylist and she cut my daughter and sons hair and their haircuts were absolutely phenomenal. We have finally found our new family salon. I had such a great experience at Garett Neal Studio! My husband had been coming to Garett for haircuts for a while and kept encouraging me to pay them a visit for my hair color. I finally dropped by and asked them for an appointment with someone who was experienced with balayage They told me Lindsey was fantastic with hilighting and balayage so I booked! BEST CHOICE EVER. Lindsey highlighted and cut my hair and I have NEVER loved my hair more!! I showed her a picture of the direction I wanted to move with my hair and she took the time to consult with me and recommend a few different routes we could go to achieve what I wanted. She left the decision up to me and we went with her initial recommendation and she KILLED IT. My hair was so blended and natural looking - I was going from a medium brown to a blended honey blonde and it was so beautiful!! I arrived a little nervous as I had a few bad experienced at a few salons around the Baton Rouge area....I left a devoted new client. Lindsey knows her craft and she is so kind and down to earth. I would highly recommend her for hilight/balayage if you are trying to find an experienced colorist.

This is such a quality place. I tagged along with my boyfriend one day and got to chat with the people there while he received an excellent cut. After leaving with a smile on my face from how nice the atmosphere was, I decided to head back a week later for my own cut/color. My hair hadnt been touched in over a year so my color was faded and grown out, in addition to plenty of split ends. I was in this mindset that I would be (rightfully) lectured on how bad I let my hair get but that did not happen in the slightest. I ended up having my hair done by Clinton, and I cannot stress how wonderful he was. He was incredibly calm and made me feel very relaxed the entire time. He never once made me feel bad about my hairs current state. He really took his time getting my color just right, and even went back and fixed a few areas that came out a little funny because of my previous color. I went from red to blonde, so he was sure to warn me that the final product would be a little warmer than what I was aiming for and that I would need to come back for another session to lighten it up a bit more. Even though my hair isnt quite finished, Im very impressed. I briefly showed Clinton a picture of what I wanted and when I got home I was amazed at how close he got it. This place has earned my loyalty by far.

Everything about this place is exceptional! The reception staff is friendly and forgiving of any mishaps you may have the day of your appointment. The stylists are all extraordinary, especially Molly, who is a rock star if I ever saw one. Ive even had the chance to interact with the owner Garrett, who has a Man Monday where you can even have an drink while getting cleaned up! Id highly recommend to anyone in need of getting their ears lowered.

I really enjoyed my experience at the Studio. Clinton was my hairstylist, he gave me a relaxing hair massage and styled my hair. In all honesty I have been to some really upscale salons in town, but I felt the service and quality are equally good for a reasonable price. Besides, it was raining that day and I was late for my appointment Clinton was gracious enough to accommodate . I recommend others to please try out this place. Keep up the good work guys!!

Just moved here and needed a long overdue haircut.To be honest, the haircut started off a little weird because I asked for a some very specific things and there was a bit of a misunderstanding. I was honestly thinking how it was going to turn out to be the worst haircut of my life. Definitely got a little tense halfway through.But after a long time (2 hour haircut), I actually ended up with a terrific haircut. A little shorter than Id have liked, but now after 2 weeks, I think its the best haircut Ive ever gotten. Didnt know I could style my hair this way so well because Ive always been told in the past my hair is too thick and straight.The hairdressers here know what theyre doing. Just be sure that you know what you want and maybe have a picture handy 😬

After Haley cut my hair, however, I never had a second thought on where I should go. She did an excellent job and gave me the best haircut Ive ever received. I absolutely love coming her to get my haircut and styled. They really care a lot about what you want, and theyre honest. There was a particular style I wanted and my hair dresser said it wouldnt be a problem to do, but that the style would make my head look boxy. He offered another technique that was very similar to the one I wanted, but was also visually appealing and easy to manage. After he gave me that information, he said we could still go with exactly what I wanted, or do the alternative. I never felt forced to go with his recommendation, but rather, was given another option.Customer service here is all around great and I highly recommend going there. Ask for Garrett and tell him Greg sent you! 😄

Garrett took time to take care of me as a walk in new to the area even though he didnt need to. The entire staff was friendly and professional. The experience alone is worth 5 stars, but the haircut was amazing as well. Cant possibly say enough about how great this place is. Absolutely deserves 5 Stars.

I use to enjoy coming here when there were two very good stylists, they always took the best care and were always friendly. Clinton and Abigail were great and I loved the time and attention that they took. They always did an amazing job and seriously brightened up the place.More recently I came in with a friend who had an absolutely horrible experience. From the way that they spoke over the phone— I tried making an appointment first, but could not take the attitude and rudeness so my friend called back and made an appointment instead. Bad idea..All the way down to the disregard of their clients when needing to come back because it wasn’t what they wanted nor did it look great. They had never had this issue and were a regular customer— it should have been a simple, easy, fast fix.Instead of just easily correcting the problem, had to call back multiple times, was finally was able to come in, then lectured and spoken down to by the owner. He didn’t even fix the problem, I wished I would have taken a picture. Had to go to another place to get it fixed. How ridiculous. Have never had a problem before, but this was absolutely unacceptable.I will never be back, they will never be back. The drama is dripping off this place, the inattention to details and the plain rudeness is unacceptable.I’m not looking for excuses, just trying to help others avoid this and these types of experiences. Unless there is a total overhaul and some serious retraining, I don’t see how these experiences could ever be remedied. There is no regard for their customers.Show some humility, do better by your clients and community— treat them with the respect and kindness they deserve. It’s okay if you mess up, just don’t be pretentious and act like you can do no wrong. Terrible experience, no one is deserving of this type of “customer service”.

First time going here.... I searched for hair on maps, then called and crossed my fingers, I was there sometime later. The staff is professional and very welcoming. I had a cup of coffee and was seated. Im skeptical about who touches my hair so I usually drive to New Orleans to get my hair cut. I had to give BR a chance... Taylor cuts my hair once a month-ish and I never leave unhappy. Her and Garret can fade with the best of em not to mention they’re super cool people to talk to. Customer service is also fantastic! Ive been coming here for 5+ years & couldnt be happier with any other hair salon. Everyone is incredibly kind, courteous & helpful. With such an array of products to choose from as well as amazing stylists, I dont believe that there is a better salon around!

Amazing staff from the second you walk in, youre greeted right away and offered a beverage whether you have to wait or not. Youre made to feel at home, like youve been coming here for years but its only your first or second visit. Its a family atmosphere among the staff, you can really tell they enjoy working together. Garrett isnt the type of owner to just let his staff work while he walks around schmoozing. He has a chair right there with them. Also what other business owner would give out his cell number? I know I wouldnt.Once youre in the chair for the first time, they really listen and ask questions to make sure they completely understand what you want. Ive been other places and I tell them what I want or even shown pictures but it didnt come out the same, because either I didnt know how to ask for what I wanted or my hair simply wont do that particular style. That definitely isnt the case here.Garrett was the first person there to cut my hair and he took down notes on what he did. That way when I come back he can just get started and he knows what to do. It also helps if your regular stylist isnt available and someone else does your cut, they know what to do.Thats another thing... Ive been places in the past where Ive felt guilty because someone besides my regular did my cut and I was uncomfortable coming back because I would have to choose one person over the other. I know its probably all in my head but its awkward all the same. Thats not the case at this salon. Recently Taylor was available when Garrett wasnt but he made sure to come over and explain his notes or to give advice.I highly recommend Taylor, especially if you want a straight razor line up. Theres nothing else like feeling that baby smooth skin after a straight razor shape (I know, I know- Im not supposed to touch it when its that fresh but I cant help it). She did an amazing job on my cut as well. You know when you get that bad haircut but you dont want to say anything because youre too passive aggressive like me, but you keep going back because, again- you dont want to hurt anyones feelings? That has been a thing of the past for me since I started going there.I know what youre thinking, this sounds amazing. But surely they must charge an arm and a leg for this level of a salon- nope... I cant speak for the ladies; but my haircut, beard trim, shampoo, and style came in around the $50 mark. Not too shabby.Wait wait wait! I forgot about Mondays. All day Monday is men only and they offer some extra services for us. Aside from the cut and all the stuff I mentioned earlier, they have some spa services to help you get through the most hated day off the week. I did the full service the last time I was in there. They start with your haircut, beard trim etc but then when you go back to get shampooed they offer add-ons like a massage, nose waxing (dont worry, it only hurts for a second) and even a gold mask they apply to your face that helps with rejuvenating your skin.All in all I cant recommend Garrett Neal Studio enough. Give them a try and I guarantee youll never go see your old stylist again. If you actually read this entire thing I applaud you, thanks for sticking around. Before you do anything else today call again make an appointment.tl;dr- amazing services, great prices, Men Only Mondays and a friendly staff.

Absolutely loved this place. Service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and made you feel comfortable. I just had hayley do my hair and she was amazing. She gave me great color and fixed my horrible cut I had received from the mall. But most importantly she sat with me and talked about exactly what I wanted and what would look good with my hair color and skin color and made sure I would be completely satisfied before she even touched my hair. I will be returning.

This place is hands down the BEST salon/barbershop to get a haircut. And the reason I say salon/barbershop is because on Tuesday through Saturday there are men and women in and out of these doors but on Monday, it is strictly for the guys! Everyone here is awesome and I feel like Ive got a haircut from at least half of the staff. I tend to go to Garrett but I am pretty sure he stays booked, so get in line. But he is the BEST! I travel in from Jackson, MS every 2 weeks to get a haircut from this man. Lastly, due to going to Garrett Neal for so long, they know my hair and have done nothing but steered me in the best directions to not only maintaining my hair but also preserving the health of it. I feel like I could say more but itll probably turn into more of me rambling. Go to this place!!!

Garrett Neal Studio transforms a normal haircut into an amazing experience! I moved to NYC several years ago and frequently hold off on haircuts until returning to Baton Rouge just so I can get my hair done here. The staff is incredible and extremely knowledgeable about their products and services in a way I have yet to experience at other places. My visits here outdo haircuts at top-of-the-line studios in NYC while still maintaining a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere.All-in-all there is no better place to get a haircut in the Baton Rouge area.
