My wife and I recently moved to Baton Rouge area. My wife was really concerned that she wouldn’t find another hair stylist like her old one. She finally decided on Salon Eden after doing a lot of searching . She is thrilled with the color and cut she received from Tamara and is now a new loyal customer.

Went for the first time today, and I loved it! Tamara Shows gave me a flawless blunt bob with curtain bangs, and Im so grateful! First time I can remember walking out of a salon feeling better than when I went in. (Usually I feel like the piece of dog food that falls into the water bowl and sits there for eight hours while youre at work. 🙃) Ill definitely be back!

Ive worked with Alexis, Matt, and now Beka, and think I now have the right to say that every stylist here can cut/style hair SO freaking well and have great fun while doing so.Beka did an absolutely incredible job and, considering this was a style shes not used to doing, youd think shes done it plenty of times already. Nice salon but I have very textured hair and my stylist doesnt know how to style it, so its not for me, but overall it is a nice salon with great products and top color brand used, I do recommend giving them a try

Paula saved my day! This salon was able to squeeze me in within 2 hrs of my event because nearby ‘Salon Dolce Vita’ screwed me over with my appt I made days ahead of time. Paula styled my hair and did an amazing job. Highly recommend this place. Very friendly and professional.

It has been a very long time since I’ve walked out of a salon actually loving my hair. The stylist I saw, Sonja, was great at addressing my concerns and the color turned out better than it has looked in a very long time. She also gave me the haircut I’ve been asking for without making it look dated and just “blah”😊 I can’t wait to go back!

I went there to have a haircut because I wanted to change my look. My friend suggested me this place. Yes after visiting them I am a fan of it now. They have the best hair stylist. They recommended me a haircut according to my face. I have the best haircut up till now. Their staff is really professional and polite.

Salon Eden is the BEST bar none for those living in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by the friendliest “Dream Team” who make you feel beyond welcome. I see Sonja who can “Tame the Beast” a.k.a my hair like no other and my color is always beautiful. I never leave Salon Eden and have to go home and style my hair because I do not like it ... I have had to do such in the past but again never when I leave Salon Eden. Also, I see other clients coming and going by ALL the stylists and their hair looks amazing!! With that being said there is no such thing as a bad stylist at Salon Eden! All of their “Work” never ceases to amaze me ... I am a longtime client by the way. I am awe struck by the fantastic transformations I see every 4 weeks. Oh and the shampoo is wonderful ... So relaxing I go to sleep. Salon Eden is an awesome experience as ALL the stylists take their time with you to make sure you are getting what you like. If you are uncertain about the hairstyle or color you think would look best on you ... Have no fear because ALL the stylists are beyond talented and will go above and beyond to assist you. It is often said that a great business starts at the Top. This is definitely the case at Salon Eden as Mary, the owner, is an incredible business owner and person in so many ways!! Em, the makeup artist is just that ... An artist ... To say her work is beautiful is an understatement. They offer waxing, eyelash extensions, spray tans, etc. Salon Eden is a one stop shop where you leave feeling pampered, relaxed and absolutely love your hair, makeup, etc. Whether you are a male or female you will love their product line as well as their styling tool selection. If you want to love your hair and your hair love you I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SALON EDEN!! Last but certainly not least everyone who works there is so friendly/kind ... You will love this warm and inviting Salon in more ways than I could mention. Ive been seeing Matt for about 3 years for cut and color. I will NEVER go anywhere else! He does an incredible job with my hair and I always leave happy. When I moved to BR I struggled for a long time to find a great salon and stylist, and I am so happy I found Salon Eden. Everyone there is friendly, respectful, and most importantly - professional. I will continue to recommend them to others who are searching for a great salon.

Matt is one of the best stylists I’ve ever had cut my hair. He’s able to give a detailed haircut in an efficient time frame. His work is consistent and always on point. The front desk employees are always pleasant and do everything possible to ensure you feel welcome.

SIX STAR SALON!!!! I usually forget to book with plenty of advance time to see my most usual stylist. I have had MANY fill in colorists and stylists here and not once have I left disappointed. This entire Salon is filled with amazing individuals at what they do, and they all greet me like family. My hair, my brows - I trust Salon Eden with my whole head. This was the best salon I have ever belonged to. I regret having to move and no longer have the opportunity to keep going to this salon. Shelley was a great stylist and has a great personality. She was the first to color my hair and when I had a problem she fixed it right away! All of the staff I have interacted with were great. They all make sure you are comfortable. I’ve moved and haven’t gone to this salon in over a year and still can’t stop missing the experience.

Styled by Shelley for the first time. I had very long, dark, thick, difficult to manage hair (past my waist), which she layered and colored. It didnt come out as bright as I wouldve liked but Shelley had already explained that the lift would be a process with my hair being so dark. Everyone that I encountered was pleasant, especially Shelley. Shes a ray of sunshine. My hair feels so much lighter and better now. I will surely return to her again.

I have difficult fine hair. I like super short and sassy and platinum blonde. Brittany Taylor is awesome. My hair turned out perfect. I have recenly returned to Baton Rouge after many years away. Salon Eden has an upbeat vibe. I asked Brittany to never leave Baton Rouge. I have found a home away from home!

Salon Eden is a wonderful salon with a tranquil environment. My hair stylist, Lacy Butler, is amazing and always gives me wonderful results. The staff is always cheerful and helpful. I have never walked out of there with less than the best treatment. I highly recommend Salon Eden to all of my friends!

Really nice place. Matt M. Was amazing! He listened and made sure he had a good understanding of what I wanted. I have fine, thin, curly hair and its so hard to find someone that understands my hair. He didnt rush me or pressure me into doing anything i was uncomfortable with. He took his time. As a client I really appreciated that. If youve ever had a bad experience with a hair dresser or just on edge about getting your hair cut you should definitely pay him a visit.

It was the first time I had been to a salon in years. I had been growing my hair out to donate it. Lauren made me feel comfortable and the experience of cutting off 16 inches was actually enjoyable. I had no idea what style I wanted, and she suggested a cut and made it happen. I love it. My husband, who was very hesitant about me cutting off my hair, said he loves my hair so much more now. Lauren did a great job. She knows what shes doing. The salon is very nice and has a laid back, friendly, comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely go back!

I made a haircut appointment with Matt because of great reviews from happy clients. He did not disappoint! Because my former stylist left for LA to further his career I had to try two different stylists who just did not quite get the type of style I was looking for. And I gave each of the former a couple of tries. Matt talked with me about what I liked and disliked about my hair and really took his time figuring out what my hair might do with certain cuts. Love what he came up with! Thank you so much for a great short style thats versatile! Just what I asked for!

If you are looking for a new salon...or even if you are not...TRY SALON EDEN! The staff is very accommodating and cheery. Lauren cuts my hair regularly. I trust her completely! She gives you what you ask for, not what she thinks you need although she will give you her professional opinion when asked. My suggestion...stop in one day for a visit and see for yourself what a comfortable and friendly place this is. Trust me, its worth your time!

AMAZING!!!!! I went from waist length hair to a bob at another salon and they butchered my hair (NOT EDEN). Then went somewhere different to get that nightmare fixed only to walk out salon #2 with two different hair cuts this became my never ending nightmare. Eden was my last shot before my trip to Vegas and MATT was amazing!!!! He not only fixed my hair but he gave me the exact hair cut I wanted in the first place. I am over the moon! I have been going to Salon Eden since I was least 6 years old and I intend on getting my hair cut and colored there for as long as I possibly can! I have formed close relationships with the work staff and honestly could not trust anyone else with my hair or make up on occasions. Mrs. Mary will not let me leave the Salon until I am 100% happy with how my hair looks or until it is colored just right and I always say that she is the only lady I will ever trust with something as important as my hair! Jermyni has done my make up for almost all of special occasions Ive attended in high school and she never fails to make me look and feel beautiful. I truly love this place! 2839303/10 :-)

I tried Salon Eden after getting fed up with snooty treatment at another salon in town. Im so thankful that I did!! The service is always top quality, everyone really knows what theyre doing and they always take the time to listen to your input. I recently started highlighting my hair and it looks fantastic!! The best part is that everyone is always so welcoming and inviting. Its really like an extension of family!!

This is by far the best salon I have found. Everyone there is very friendly. It is a very welcoming place while still maintaining the cool factor. The decor is beautiful, the stylists are all extremely well trained, even the shampoo chairs are comfortable! I would not go anywhere else.

I cant say enough good things about Salon Eden. I came in with some color issues and over-processed hair. My stylist has done an AMAZING job achieving the exact color and look that I want with minimal damage. Shes guided me in the types of products I should be using for my hair, and is always willing to listen to my suggestions or questions!

The hairstylists are up to date with current hairstyles. All are very friendly and helpful. My experience at Salon Eden is always a very positive one!

Under NO circumstances should you let Mary Verlander or her so called highly trained and experienced stylist touch your hair. They talk a good game, but they fail woefully and then defend the fail with lip service. Either they are used to being this responsive or they are incompetent. Their words means little when your hair is permanently messed up. The result is the same: its a fail. I know three people that will never return and are telling EVERONE they know to STAY AWAY. Shamefully disconnected from reality and facts at this place when it comes to customer service equalling their claims as a top notch business. Run away

My friends beautiful hair was RUINED at this salon. Her hair feels like dry straw from the chemicals that the stylist, Shelley, used. The cut of my friends hair is so uneven that it is hard to even imagine. The layers are not blended and the lengths are very uneven. The owner of the store, Mary Verlander, is a liar. Mary Verlanders response to my friends honest review of her salon is blatantly dishonest.

I was looking for a barbershop in the Baton Rouge area because my barber was closed, and I stumbled upon Salon Eden. I thought Id give them a try and I must say everyone is soo nice and kind. The front desk coordinator was very generous and offered me water, which tasted soo good. Lacie cut my hair and she did a fantastic job, she was very sweet. I had a great experience and if anyone is looking to get their haircut or hair did, Salon Eden is the spot!!!!!

WORST SALON EVER!!!! They turned my hair GREEN!! Instead of leaving with beautiful hair, I left with very damaged, green hair!! Worst experience Ive ever had at any salon, and Ive been to many! STAY AWAY from this place and go somewhere that actually knows how to do hair!

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Salon Eden in Town Square in Baton Rouge is owned by Mary Verlander. She is arrogant, dishonest and unprofessional. She has made no apology to me for the horrible haircut and the damage to my hair at the hands of her employee, a “so called” hair stylist, Shelley. Mary praised and defended Shelley even after I showed Mary the damage that Shelley did to my hair. Mary’s tone has been arrogant and dismissive of me while defending her stylists botched cut and color that I am still dealing with.The texture of my hair is ruined because of the chemicals as well as the slide cut technique that Shelley used on my thick wavy hair. The haircut is very uneven. Shelley cut the left side far shorter than the right side, the layers are not blended, she thinned the ends out badly which look shaggy and frizzy. Shelley did not get the color right either. Instead of the color that we had agreed upon, my hair came out an odd drab color and my dark roots still show! I truly cannot imagine a worse cut and color.When I looked in the mirror, I asked Shelley to please, please correct the cut and color but she made excuses including telling me that, “It would look fine after I washed it and styled it at home”. She rushed me out of her chair because she had another client scheduled. I was stunned. I walked out of the salon, got in my car, looked in my car mirror and walked right back into the Salon. I politely asked Shelley for a second time to please fix my hair. She was curt and basically blew me off. It was tense and very uncomfortable, no other stylists or employees stepped forward to offer me any support. The atmosphere felt tense and unfriendly. Everyone just stared. I felt that I had reached a dead end so I left the Salon and contacted Mary Verlander.I took numerous photos which I sent to Mary and I explained to her in great detail what had transpired. Mary refused to comment on the awful cut and color in the photos. She made no apology to me, at any time, EVEN after viewing the photos. She implied that I was simply hard to please! With that kind of indifference and arrogance, I knew that I wanted nothing further to do with her or her Salon. Returning there would feel like walking into a lion’s den so her lame “offer” to try and “please” me by allowing me to return to her Salon to see what they could do to “try and make me happy” is a joke. I asked Mary for a refund which, of course, she has refused to give to me. She simply doesnt care. I plan to take further action in hopes of recovering my money.Meanwhile, I hope that my review will spare someone else from having to go through such an awful ordeal. I wish that I could get all of my photos of my botched hair to upload to this site because a picture is worth a thousand words.
