The only reason I use this location is because they are open later than Geneva and St. Charles, also they have self service after hours. Once recently there was a younger tall man working the counter and he actually WAS very nice, I wish I knew his name. Thats the only good thing I have to say.

Went to send a package, woman was hostile and rude. They dont care because nothing will be done about it. I am now using a different post office in the area.

I sent 2 packages from this location to ISRAEL but lady type in the system distanation country - IRELAND. Can you imagine it. And I cant do nothing. I called to Ireland, they said that my package went back to USA 16 of January, today is 10 of February. Where is my package, where? Thank you USPS that u made me troubles. I was there to renew my daughters passport and the lady gave us and appointment on the counter then I remembered the time we booked my daughter had school on so I told her to change the time she said there are people in line just do it ur self online!! Then I went to the Self service Kiosk at this location and it didn’t allow me to make an appointment for a minor so I had to come back again in the line and she told me again the lady that I she cannot cancel it I told her than make a new appointment and I will cancel the old one at home what was upsetting is that I was in line and I was at the counter and she told me that there are people in line well I am in line and you should serve me like you supposed to not tell me just to leave because there are people in line she was so unfriendly and mean

There’s this one woman who works there who enjoys telling you something’s wrong with your package, only to send you home without any solutions. No way she’s married.

Rudest employees of any post office I’ve ever been to. I have experienced negative exchanges with different counter people over the years. They are eager to tell you you did something wrong and either go to the back of the always long line or better yet go home. Awful workplace culture.

Is there a rule how the outgoing mail should be presented at your mailbox? I have a wall mounted mailbox. I don’t have a street side box with a flag. Today I put my out going mail on the clip that has been used for years. The mail was delivered today. But not picked up. Is there a rule that states how the out going mail must be presented? And s/he put my neighbors mail in my box! Our names are on our separate boxes and on the mail.

I dont know if Ive ever had a good experience at this facility after 13 years

Self service equipment doesnt work, customer service is absolutely horrible. Personnel act offended if you dont know a procedure and rarely give you the proper information without eye rolls and attitude. I have made it a point to go anywhere else but here if I have to talk to someone.

This post office at Batavia, IL has always been a thorn in my side for receiving packages. When I see them listed as the accepting location, I know Im in for a bad time. Unfortunately they have found ways to be even worse in recent months, and in one particularly bad situation, I still have a parcel that has been stuck at accepted, acceptance of your package is pending for a MONTH. Verified with sender that they have it, but they just wont move it and are now advising it could take 8 weeks to ship. Pathetic.

Rude and just plain ignorant employees.

I have to agree with the rest of the reviewers, Batavia Post Office has the worst employees in the area. I watched this one named Irvin mistreat about 7 people while I waited in line. Wow...how is this tolerated? Save your time and go to St Charles or Geneva.

There is only one word I can use to describe the Batavia post office- incompetent. Ive never had a pleasant experience here. Always long lines with one or two workers trying to outdo each other to do the least amount of work, while you see three our four other workers just lollygagging in the background not even trying to look busy. Make sure you bring your own tape- they charged me $3.99 for a roll of tape so I could use two pieces to tape up an end of a small box. Also dont ask them to verify a zip code, because thats not their job. Yes it is lady, yes it is.

I absolutely LOVE this location! Our mail lady Tascha, is the BEST! My kids look forward to seeing her everyday and the dogs gobble up their “mail lady treats”. She is always friendly, and on time(we are at end of route so we get mail later in the day). Everyone in our neighborhood chats with her and knows her well! We all love her!!! Holly, who works inside this post office is wonderful! These two women have shown such exemplary customer service to us over the years we couldn’t be more pleased! Truly! Are there some employees that work here that are not always smiling? Yes, but they’re efficient and get the job done. I have never seen the kind of customer service these low reviews have mentioned. Not smiling does not = rudeness. I mail things constantly using the express overnight for work so I have to frequently come here to send things out/pick up. Rude, slow service is NOT what is provided at this location, I assure you. Keep up the great work guys!

This is by far the worst post office in the area — I often drive an extra half hour in order to avoid this particular branch. I use the post office at least 1-2x a day for my business, and there’s some amazing post office branches, this just isn’t one. Every single employee except for one young woman is almost always rude and act annoyed if you ask them questions or need their help. I could write for the next hour with dozens of examples and experiences to further illustrate how poor this branch and the staff is. There’s often long waits; I’ve seen on several occasions where there are many people waiting, and one of the only few employees just shut down their register and stop taking customers for no reason, while the line gets even longer and longer.I live in the town next to Batavia with a post office that closes early — so when I need to drop off packages later, I go to a different branch — and when I use pre-printed shipping labels with my non-Batavia address / zip code on them, they (nearly every time I would come in) tell me I’m only supposed to have a Batavia address on the label, even though I’ve been told the 6 times I’ve called customer service that’s not true, and every other post office branch will take the packages and have told me it’s totally fine. These experiences are just the tip of the iceberg.The bottom line is that nearly the entire staff is just so rude and unprofessional that I cannot believe that they have jobs with the federal government at the post office. I would recommend going to nearly any other post office in the area if you need anything where you have to speak with someone / anything where you need customer support. After two years of coming to this branch several times a week, I have recently stopped coming here and drive further just to avoid this branch altogether. That said, maybe some of the staff have changed - I hope so!

HORRIBLE! I Cant believe how many times we receive someone elses mail over the last 3 years. It happens so often I have kept a log of the date, time. I also log each time Ive called the post office to tell them. The supervisor doesnt care. They just say theyll talk to the carrier. So Ive had to open a case number with the district office. Im writing a review today because... today I received three DIFFERENT peoples mail from two different cities! Maybe if the mail carrier would not be talking on their bluetooth (personal calls) they could concentrate on delivering correctly.

Though this location is convenient, I have had terrible experiences at this Post Office. There is rarely a time of day when there is not a long line outside the door. They routinely have only 1 agent at the desk and always state that they cannot call on anyone for help. This is very frustrating and time consuming. The staff is helpful, but they cant do anything if they dont have the Supervisors support to get help. This place needs some real direction on customer service and need to figure out how to control the long, long lines.

I was having the most pleasant experience with a new employee at the counter, when the Supervisor suddenly appeared screaming because she was paged for to make change. the employee politely made the request by intercom instead of walking away as Ive seen them do in the past.this Supervisor was rude and yelling in the lobby like she was crazy!!Im on lunch! Now I understand why the employees are not always so pleasant if the Supervisor acts this way in public. What does she do in private??

Not much to say.. hit or miss with customer service.*BRING YOUR OWN TAPE.* They will not tape anything for you.. they WILL however kindly offer you a role of tape to purchase for an amazing deal of $3.49.

I agree about the lack of counter service which seems to be a consistent problem. However, I wouldnt put all the employees in the rude and uncaring category. There is one employee who is in my opinion very knowledgeable and efficient but acts more like a robot and has no personality. I guess you cant have it both ways with the USPS. The Elburn PO always seems to have better service and better customer relations but that PO is not open as many hours as the Batavia PO.

When they hire these people @ the post office, it must be a requirement to be extremely rude and ignorant. These miserable people are hand picked.

The Batavia Post Office continues to be completely inefficient. Mail is not being forwarded to my new address. Im being told that mail has not arrived in Batavia and therefore cant be forwarded. One piece of mail that Im looking for was sent from Kaneland over 2 weeks ago. Another was sent from another location also 2 weeks ago. The person I spoke with was absolutely no help at all. Just told me that the mail couldnt have arrived there yet! I wouldve given 0 stars if possible.

Melissa at the counter is full of false information and attitude. Absolutely horrible to deal with, and doesnt want to do her job. I completely avoid this office now and take $15,000 a year in revenue elsewhere. Avoid her at all costs.

We arrived for a passport and were told they only do by appointment. No where does it say they do appointment only passports. No one else was there for a passport, and the postal employee still wouldn’t process our passport application.

If I could give this post office no stars I would, I want everyone to Know to never visit this post office location I now drive an extra 10mins to go to a different USPS that is more helpful and competent, just do your self a favor and skip this location period.

The worst service I have ever received, EVERY time I go. Im treated TERRIBLY from the moment I walk in the door to when I leave. The front end workers are rude and snap at everything you say, never smile, and ignore you until you insist on being helped. I rarely ever have to mail things, but when I do Im often unsure of the best method or such. The workers here are the LAST people to ask because they are NO help at all. Its incredible that there is any business here at all.

It would be nice if they could deliver my mail to my address instead of my neighbors and visa versa. Yes, we have nicely talked to the postmaster and talked about it. Next day? Wrong mail, again. Was it intentional?Maybe if they delivered only five days a week it would help.

I just moved to Batavia and my house didn’t have a mailbox, I called the post office and gave them my address they told me to install one on the front of my house. The first time I received mail to my new mailbox they had put on there that my mailbox is on the side street from my house. I called Lee the postmaster for Batavia he was very unprofessional and rude and he couldn’t even tell me where my mailboxes.

I dread going to this post office, however its so convenient. The workers are always rude and seem to enjoy belittling their customers. As a customer service industry, they are sure bad at it.

Weve been to this post office a few times when I needed to mail something. Its not my favorite. Slow service, grumpy employees, and oddly located off the main road all add up to a meh. Youre better off going to other post offices in the area.

Worst customer service ever, and incompetent employees. Have not been getting my mail for over 6months and have reissued my drivers license 3TIMES and STILL HAVE NOT gotten it because of the lack of competency, professionalism and laziness of this PO management.

The absolute worst post office in the entire west Chicagoland area. Nearly all employees are incredibly rude — a culture of rudeness, unprofessionalism etc. I’ve been treated terribly and have also seen them treat other customers terribly, even little old ladies who are sweet and just need help! I go to the post office 1-2x a day, and I can say that in the area the Sugar Grove, Elburn and Aurora on Rt. 25 post officea are GREAT, the people working at those locations are professional and helpful and polite.

Would recommend other post offices in the area over this one!

Such a great little town with the worst post office around. I stopped going there unless I absolutely have to. Rude service. Also, my mail has been lost, get our neighbors all the time. Packages not delivered on time to my home.

I cant seem to understand how this location is still open. Lines are always out the door due mostly to the complete lack of competence and customer service present in the employees. With this many terrible reviews I dont know why something hasnt been done yet. Either replace all of the staff including the supervisor or just shut it down and save everyone wanting to mail a package from the disappointment and frustration.

Customer service is poor. Staff remind me of the living dead. Our mail delivery is horrible. Mail delivered to wrong houses, missing mail etc. They say they will take care of it but problems continue. Good example of why the U.S. postal service is broke. This is why I get ebills instead of by mail.

By far the worst post office. There extremely slow, rude and no personality. I waited in line for almost 30 minutes, with only 3 people ahead of me. The gentleman working behind the counter personal phone rang and he actually walked away to the back to take his call while people where waiting in line. Called 3 times about a package that was supposedly delivered but was never recieved and they said they would call back and get to me. First time lady said call back when they have the mail carriers there. Then called back and said yes it was delivered but the way she said it was a guess because she said uh oh yeah. Then 3rd time i had never recieved the call they promised to really confirm with mail carrier and yet they are closed and i am stuck without a package that is aupposed to be here and they claim delivered. Horrible service when i go there and on phone. No recommendations but nothing i can do because there is only one mail carrier for the u.s. mail.

Officially have had it with the service. I never get my stuff delivered on time. And where were you yesterday? Waited all day for my mail and didnt even see you drive by. What a joke.

I put my mail on hold for 5 days at Batavia IL location. Mail still got delivered. Just talked to Holly, who called herself a manager. I dont think she understands that this is how I could be given the reason to sue USPS.
