I love these guys. I went in for a NYS inspection. I knew that my vehicle had some issues. They were very kind in telling me that it didnt pass. And helped to point out the issues I had. They took the time to talk with me about the issues and what was needed to repair them and recommendations on work that I could do myself. They gave me a direction to go in and Im glad they have been my go to shop for the last 4 years.

I love these people! Everytime i need my car fixed they are willing to help even if i didnt make an appointment. They always squeeze me in. They also do very good work. Its the only place i take my car.

I got in without an appointment and fixed my battery issue quickly. They did a break inspection, as well, and discovered bad caliper had nearly worn a break pad. They fixed it all at a good price. Recommended!

Brake pads, fast and efficient, nice people, they were honest too, didnt need rear pads they let me know! Many shops wouldve done them any how.

Got my car worked on fast and efficient

My car is supposed to get synthetic oil during changes. The company put in the regular oil in. Not damaging doing it just once, but would have preferred the synthetic oil. When I asked if the oil was synthetic the lady at the front told me that my car didnt need synthetic oil

In response to Tom K.. I understand that you are disappointed that there has been changes at Chesleys, but to leave a derogatory review has me wondering. So let me introduce myself. Im the so called person that doesnt know anything about cars that took over for Mark. After working with Mark for 6 months prior, I know that he has a following, as he should for the years that he has been working for Chesleys. I personally dont have the extensive knowledge that our technicians have which is why I dont physically work on vehicles. But managing and physically working on vehicles are two different entities.I have the same technicians that have been there since before the change and I have added another. I have the utmost confidence and trust in my technicians to diagnose the problem and fix the problem.If you had an issue with the cost of anything, youll receive an estimate of what the total job will be before we do any work on your vehicle. If there is any question about the cost of a job, it is totally up to you whether we do all, some or nothing. We offer the best parts for the best price to our customers. If there is a less expensive option we will always offer it to the customer. If there is any problem with the quality of work that we provide, please let me know and I will do my best to resolve it.

I wasnt happy with their ad. The price quoted was not the price charged. When asked they told me thats the way its set up in the computer and cant do anything about it.

My youre headlight is out light popped up on my dash this afternoon. So I pulled into Chesleys explained the issue and knowing they are busy offered to make an appointment for tomorrow. The very nice woman at the desk said oh no we dont want you to be pulled over. She looked over their schedule and told me I was welcome to sit and wait or I could return in about an hour which I did. Took less than 15 minutes to fix and I was on my way. Waiting room was clean, warm, and comfortable. Their service and staff was excellent! I highly recommend Chesleys!

We are road tripping in a 30 RV from upstate NY back to our home outside of Chicago. We were told that our rear tire was soft and told how to get to the nearest tire/auto shop. When we got to Chesleys, someone came out right away to check it out. They found that there was a big nail in the tire and the tire actually had no pressure. They had someone come out immediately, they were able to pull the nail out and plug the hole in the parking lot! The fix was $10. They were super fast...I dont think it even took 20 minutes. On top of that everyone was so very nice! We were all ready to add on a couple more hours onto our already long trip (traveling with a 4 year old, 1 year old and a 9 week old puppy). Instead we were in and out, in a breeze and treated nicely!

I really wish I would have taken my car some where else. I went in for a simple oil change. I paid extra to have the fluids checked and topped off. I was told everything was done and taken care of by Shannon only to find out it was not true. In the end I had to purchase washer fluid and everything else. So I feel like a $29 oil change cost me $45. To be taken advantage of is sad. Only to get over for a couple of dollars. I hope it was all worth it as I will never take my car to them ever again.

I do not recommend taking your vehicle to Chesleys. I took my car there to get an inspection and they charged me $50.00 to hook it up to the computer and didnt pass it! They told me to bring it back the next day. My husband called there the next morning and was told I would be charged another $85 for there mechanic to finish the inspection. I went to Pelligrinos and they inspected my car for the $21.00 it should have cost me. Chesleys has lost my business.

Will NEVER recommend These people are rude and prices are ridiculous. They will definitely charge you the highest amount for anything you do! I went to get a new battery and they tried to charge me $300 for a battery! I went else where and got the new battery and got it installed for less than $100. Dont go there unless youll like to get ripped off

I stopped because my windshield washer fluid wasnt coming out at all. They took my Jeep right back and fixed the clog in my washer hose. Great customer service!

Ill keep this simple. These people will do all they can to get money out of you, whether they can help you or not.Making an appointment there is pointless, since you end up waiting an hour for service anyway.Even if they cant help you, they make you pay for their services anyway.I have had friends who say that these people will add things onto their bill even when my friends did not give permission for that specific service.Theyre shady, and after going to them I was able to go to a trusted garage, and get my needs met with no issue.

I am sitting at a dealership waiting for them to fix the problems encountered by having new brakes and pads installed by Chesleys...DO NOT GO HERE!!!!The job was done over a year and a half ago and Im still having problems! I brought it back after the 1st few weeks following the installation ...they claimed nothing was wrong! Then after a few months I brought it back for the same issues..they did nothing, even though the job was a lifetime warranty ..According to dealership, some parts were installed incorrectly and also wrong products were used!NEVER AGAIN!

I took my car in to have a clucking noise checkout in the front of my car. A few minutes after picking up my car, I heard the clucking noise again. I took the car to a different place to have it look at. The mechanic forgot to tighten the part. There needs to be a better system for checking mechanics work. I have them a 2 start because they did reimburse me the cost to have another place tighten down the part. Just beware of this place.

I had a cooling/heating system break down on NYS thruway late at night. I got to Batavia. Only Chelsey could help me out on Monday morning. They were very friendly, diagnosed my problem, and repaired at a very reasonable cost. Great waiting area with first class movies. Outstanding.

I have taken my vehicles twice to Chesleys. The first time was when another shop wanted $600 to replace rear brakes on our car (they said the calipers were bad). I normally will do work on my car, but it was the winter time and I didnt have a place to inspect them myself. That didnt sound right so I took it to Chesleys and they said everything was fine and I only needed pads and rotors - $200ish. The second time I thought I needed a part replaced and I was also noticing another issue. Turns out what I thought was needing replacing was ok and the other issue may have been a bad part I just replaced a month prior. They didnt charge me anything which was appreciative. On a side note, a local dealership told my parents they needed over $3,000 worth of work done to their vehicle when they took it in for inspection. But the only part that failed the inspection was the parking brake cable (which they never mentioned, it was only listed on the printout). Chesleys took a look at it, did a fix, and only charged the reinspection fee (maybe a tiny bit extra).

CHESLEYS WAS A VERY GOOD AND HONEST SHOP WHEN MARK JACKETT WAS MANAGER, NOW THEY HAVE A NEW GUY THAT DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS AND THEY HAVE BEEN OVERCHARGING AND NOT CORRECTING THE ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLES THE FIRST TIME . THEY LOST A GREAT MANAGER (EMPLOYEE) WHEN THEY LET MARK GOWILL NOT BE GOING BACK AND WILL NOT RECOMEND FRIENDS OR FAMILYPLEASE BE WARE !!! THEY TURNED INTO CROOKS!!!

Everyone I know from Batavia who has a car, dont go to Chesleys on Main St.. Yesterday, I took my car in to get it checked out. They told me my whole control bar needs to be replaced because my balljoints were bad. So they replaced the bar and charged me $500. Im on my way home to buffalo and my car starts jerking really badly from side to side. Which, non-coincidentally, has to do with the control bar/balljoints/alignment of my car which all come from the same area in my car that they supposedly fixed. Furthermore, when I called to bring it back in today, Mark gave me the worst attitude.EDIT: They did good today when I brought my car back and got it fixed. However, they did call my dad after this review was written and my dad said I had to say something nice or whatever. So Ill leave it at that. Raised to two stars instead of one.

The GM should be fired for how he handles customer complaints, especially after his lazy mechanics damn near kill people. Wouldnt bring my car there even if I was in a drought, my car was on a fire and they have the only cup of water in the state. If Mark continues to harrass and threaten his former clients, is easy enough to get a hold of the owner, or it might go straight to the police. Theres photo evidence.

I really dont like bashing local businesses. I hope this will make them improve. They state that they are required by the state to drive your vehicle down the road for inspections. This is not true. can be checked in the parking lot when pulling into the garage or on the lift if your qualified and know what your doing.

Love my guy at chesleys. I will never go to anybody else. Not only did he do what needed to be done, he went above and beyond to make sure my car was safe for my family. He checked over every thing and even took it for a short ride. In doing that he found a minor problem that would have become a big problem had he not drivin it. So small pennys insted of big problem down the road that I never would have noticed. 😍😘😉

I brought an expensive custom wheel in to get a tire put on and the destroyed the wheel.I asked if they could do it before I even left it.They assured me that they couldNow Im out of a wheel and I have to wait to talk to the owner who lives in Florida to see if he is going to replace a wheel that takes 3 months to get made out west.So because of their bad judgment and mine as well for even going there Im out of my custom wheels for a month because thats what it took to get a new one.Then after getting the rim and new tire within 4 weeks the inside bead blows apart.New rimNew tiresThey used a weight to balance it that slips on the inside lip the clip goes between rim and tire where the seal has to beNot recommended for low profile wheels and tires.Ur supposed to use stick on weight that has adhesive to hold it to the inside of wheelThe bead never sealed because of thisTire losses pressureBoomBrand new rim and tire done ruinedGood job guysThe old owner of this building would try to scam u and steal ur money but work was decentThese guys do bad workThis is what I get for supporting a locally owned businessI learned my lesson.My kids road in that car hours before the blow out
