I recently learned that Bartlesville had a Hertz. I normally rent from Enterprise, but I needed a car to get to the Airport and Enterprise was all out so I found Hertz. The first rental went pretty smooth. So I figured I will do another with them since they were cheaper and closer, and that was when the problems happened.Problem 1: I set up to be picked up from my home to go get the car. I scheduled it through my reservation. I called the day of to make sure they did not go past my house (it is a weird corner lot), and I was told (30 min after they opened) that the guy that normally does the pick ups is about to leave for the day, and I am on my own to figure out a way to get there. So, I called the customer service line to make sure I could get my wife added without her being there, and they said sure no issue. So I hop on my bike and ride the 8 miles to hertz with my bike rack for the car. I show up and the guy leads me to problem 2problem 2: The guy said my wife did have to be present to be a driver and that customer service lied. He refused to call customer service to attempt to help. Whatever, I thought we can just drive back here to get her added.problem 3: The guy was super slow (like not just slow, but like he was intentionally trying to annoy me). He went to go get the car, and the phone rang, he pulled out the phone from his pocket and went to sit at his desk to have a casual chat with someone. I sat down for about 5 min while he caught up with his friend.problem 4: finally he got my car, and turns out it was not a compact, it was 2 sizes larger than that. Bigger car = worse milage. Also, there was no walk around to see all of the damage to the car. I did not all of the deep scratches before I left. I hooked up my bike rack and away I went.problem 5: I called customer service again to make sure I would not be charged for an additional drive fee, they said since I was a rewards member and a USAA member there would be no charger for my spouse. I had my wife tweet Hertz so we would have it written too. We get back to the place and they guy charged us, and would not do anything about it. We were already 2.5 hours behind schedule so I called customer service. They said when I return it to have it removed.Problem 6: Returned the car, this place would not remove the charge. They also refused to give me a ride downtown. So I walked downtown and contacted customer service. Customer service is currently processing the refund.So the issues with this trip are not really with Hertz as a company. Customer service was brilliant, and they were very helpful. The problem is with this specific location. I gave 2 stars because my first interaction was pleasant
