Is is so refreshing to find a company that values and demonstrates customer service with a great attitude. The Bangor Airport Enterprise location gets 5 stars for friendliness and service and deserves this review. Even though their lot is off-premise, it was worth the small inconvenience for the experience. The shuttle service was busy the day we arrived and the driver was apologetic when he had to leave us for the next shuttle, but assured us he would be back promptly (and he was). The driver not only helped with bags, but welcomed us to Bangor (and Enterprise). When we arrived at the lot, a positive young man (Conner) apologized that the vehicle type we had reserved was not available but offered us an upgrade at no additional cost and gave us the tank of gas. He even gave me his card with his number to call if we had any issues. Upon return, we were greeted with smiles (Lauren) and helpfulness as we took the shuttle back to the airport. Highly recommend this Enterprise location.

Arrived at the airport, called the shuttle they arrived approximately 10 min, drop me out at the rental office, within 15 Minutes I was on my way.However, they didnt explain the car return procedures ....meaning time shuttle starts to depart for travelers departures early in the AM and Saturday/ Sunday. Also would be nice if they were AT THE AIRPORT.Overall, a great experience with Enterprise

Hands down the best experience I have had at a car rental agency, and Ive been renting cars for 30 years. They had ample staff to serve their customers, and they were courteous, friendly, efficient and quick. They are located off-airport, but its only a 15 minute shuttle ride. For the service they provided, that was well worth the time. I highly recommend you rent from them.

Had a great experience with this location when i was visiting Maine from Chicago. I ended up forgetting some souvenirs in the office when I got on the shuttle for the airport. I called hoping they still had them and they did! Sent them back to me right away, everyone was so helpful. I wish I had gotten names when I called so I could personally thank them. When renting to pick up vehicle from airport must know: you will actually be directed to a number to call to get a transit van pickup to their office location. Times given will be 5min shorter than actual, at least-- do not recommend for those in a hurry.If they have more than two customers during busy season, they will be overwhelmed.However, most personable staff I have ever interacted with at a rental car station. Very friendly, very open, will give recommendations on the short drive to their location for pickup, & be open to the one lady sharing her whole life story even if shes standing in front of your return %& you dont want to just drop keys bc they accidentally charged you for a full fill-up even if you got the vehicle at half tank.

We reserved a small SUV for our vacation to Maine. When we got there the only car they had was a Hyundai Accent. My husband is 65 and I am 511, we had my 91 year old mother-in-law with us. We told them this wasnt acceptable and they offered to put us in a P.U. truck! They said then the Accent was it. They said they would call us as soon as they got a bigger car. Brittany, the manager even said she would call us personally and bring the car to us. We exchanged numbers and left in this horrible dinky car. We never heard from Enterprise again. When we brought the car back, they couldnt get us out of there fast enough. We turned in the car and paid. We will never use them again. We rented with them through BJs Wholesale Club and we plan to let BJs know about our wonderful experience. My husbands neck and back are still sore.

The rental car company advertises that it is AT the airport. It isnt, it is approximately 10 minutes away from the airport. They do provide a shuttle when they are open. If they are not open you have to use a ride share (Uber/Lyft) email the rental car company the receipt and they will reimburse you the cost of the ride share. As we were on a tight schedule this caused us problems and undo stress as we nearly missed our appointment time. There are other rental car companies that are actually IN the airport. Had i know this company wasnt actually in the airport i would not have chosen them. Personnel at this site were friendly, unfortunately the rental car smelled like smoke. When i brought that up all i got was Im sorry, no option to switch cars??

The car was very nice. It should be noted Enterprise is NOT located at the airport. It is a 10 minute shuttle ride. The staff is great, fast and efficient. The Enterprise center is located with a gas station so there is no need to look for gas before dropping off.

I had booked a reservation at this Location. about an hour before my due arrival time, I had a phone call from Tommy. He informed me that unfortunately there wasn’t anything available but he definitely went above and beyond to see about rates for me.. Although I wasn’t able to get The vehicle that I had reserved, his pleasant customer service skills were top notch 👌 I have been doing customer service myself for over 20 years, and Tommy is definitely somebody I would consider an asset to the company! Keep up the good work guys! 😉

The staff is very friendly. Though they do not always have up to date information. They are great for on the spot pick up/ work very well with insurance. Need to up date their comparable sized vehicles and pricing. And need to update their vehicles and tires for Maine winters.

Then we extended it with some guy and either we or they made a mistake but thankfully I called and got another lady who was able to explain and fix charges without even asking! Enterprise never fails to provide great customer service. Its as simple as that. I have never been disappointed.

Rented SUV from Bangor Maine enterprise while our vehicle was being repaired. Upgraded from sedan which insurance company had reserved. They upgraded and entire experience was great. Very easy to do business with and their employee Bridgette was beyond helpful. They have a new location that is very customer friendly.

Be aware if you use the toll pass they may wrongly charge you for everyday you had the rental despite the tollpass online terms of service saying they will only charge you for the days the toll pass was used. I was able to get the improper charges removed by contacting customer service. However the customer service agent wrongly told me it was per day not per toll usage day.Otherwise I liked the car and the people in bangor were nice during pickup and dropoff.

We returned to the Bangor Airport off-site location at 3:20pm on a Sunday to discover there was not transportation to the airport, no Ubers because of a shortage and very limited cab service (long delays). This was our return time as scheduled and we were not forewarned.

I give my overall experience 4/5. The staff were great to work with, friendly and attentive. I am concerned about maintenance upkeep on the vehicle I drove. The breaks were really squeaky, the seats were stained and in need of a cleaning and the car drove less than perfect. It still got me two and from my location.

Reserved a car here at the enterprise on Hammond Street made reservations online had a confirmation number got a cab ride over there only to be turned away and told that they did not have a car available for me! I was turned away. I ended up going to Hertz at the airport. Horrible customer service if I could give zero stars I would do not do business with this company bad business. You just lost a customer for life.

Theyre one of the only Rental Car places that isnt actually at the airport. Theyll pick you up by shuttle from the airport. The wife and I flew to Bangor and our flight got in at 7pm. They close at 6pm leaving us stranded. Avis was the only car company with cars still available and they are open till 8pm just like the other companies National, Budget, etc. Wouldnt recommend them to anyone!

The employees at this location are very professional and friendly. I can’t remember all names but I had to extend my rental by phone and “Britney” couldn’t have been more helpful and polite and efficient. Very pleased with the service.

Terrible customer service!!! My girlfriend had dental surgery and could not speak and they refused to work with me on getting details on how to return the car because they would only speak with her. We ended up being forced to pay for another day due to her not being able to drive and drop the car off herself. Also the car was in pretty bad condition.

Brian Jones was extremely helpful with his service. Somehow our reservation was cancelled when we arrived and he was able to help fix the problem. Extremely generous and helped give some places to stop to eat.

Fast service in and out. The location is still about 8 minutes away from the airport so keep that in mind when returning. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Has pick up trucks!

We had to rent a car while our truck was in the collision shop. We rented it for 6 days! It was at the collision shop when we arrived and we left it at the collision shop! It was seamless and the car was clean and a 2020!! A great experience.

All of the folks at the Bangor Hammond Street location were the most awesome people to work with but especially MARK!! We had to fly to ME to attend my brothers funeral and he was super kind and understanding and went out of his way to make the rental process go smoothly (which it did). I cannot stress enough how appreciated this was as I had run into so much lack of compassion in setting up all the travel plans necessary to get from AK to ME during this emotional time. Kudos to Mark and the rest of the staff for restoring my belief that humanity is alive and well in the hearts of some. Although I dont rent cars often, you can be sure it will be from Enterprise when I do. Thanks very much.

Love the rental they put me in. Introduced me to a new kind of vehicle. They also followed up with me about sales of their rental vehicles when they outgrow their usefulness... Something I could appreciate since my car got totalled and why I needed a rental in the first place. Ill definitely check with them next time I need to purchase a vehicle.

My car was totaled in an accident the other driver was at fault. It turned my life upside down for a few weeks but Enterprise made it easier, they picked me up and were happy to extend the rental through the insurance company, they also brought me and my daughter back to the dealership where I purchased my new car. They were always helpful and polite. Their prices are fair with no hidden fees. Hopefully the next time I need to rent a car it will be for a positive reason but I will definitely use Enterprise again.

Usually this place rocks it. I rent at least once a month for business. The last two times, however, I had some issues with the quality of car-care. Two rentals ago I was told the car was 100%, and wasnt asked to look it over myself, and when I got in the mirror was broken and there were cigarette burns in the passenger seat. Luckily they didnt say anything about it when I brought back the car. The last time I rented, which was a completely different vehicle, I picked up the car in a downpour and the person that rented it to me stated there were cigarette burns in the passenger seat. I was thinking again???, but looked around the car and didnt see anything aside from that. Once again, downpour. When I brought the car back they told me they found a considerable dent in the door and chargeable scratches near the wheels. I felt like I was being accused of putting them there, but I know for a fact I did not. They ended up not charging me for the damage, but the whole experience makes me hesitant to rent from them again. Even if I completely check over the car, what if I miss something? I feel like they need to do a better job of checking the cars in when people bring them back so the people that actually smoke in them and beat them up get held accountable, not someone who is quickly trying to get on the road for work or get home after a business trip.

Great place to rent with easy and fast check in. Forgot my husbands glasses in the car. I called a week later and they had them. If you sign up for rewards you get a discount which was better than my corp discount. We will be renting again soon!

It was 10 degrees and the gas cap which was already broken in the first place was frozen. I spent ten minutes trying to pry it open and it snapped off. I told the girl when I dropped it off and submitted it to the insurance. About a week later I got a bill for over $500 dollars. Needless to say they will have to put that outrageous bill in collections or take me to small claims court because I am NOT paying it. The girl did not explain that I even had to return the car with 3/4 gas filled in the car in the first place. I returned it with slightly under 3/4 filled and I got hit with another outrageous fee for that. Fee and FEE and FEE! I will never go to Enterprise again. They are a giant rip off only out for more hidden fees. I am naive to have gone to this place.. I am resentful towards them and I hope they go out of business.. The end. For now anyways. Im sure Ill get hit with a few more hidden. FEES in the coming weeks. I regret being honest with them in the first place.

The car could have been cleaner,its often the case when we rent from enterprise,i usally buy window cleanerand also put this one thru the car wash twice.every time i started the engine it came up telling me to change the oil. friendly staff and fair pricing just wish they cleaned the cars better

I was, for the first time ever very disappointed with Enterprise. Upon arrival to the airport I called the nearest location for a pickup since it was offsite to fulfill my reservation. They informed me that they work with Alamo and to go to that counter. So I didn’t even end up renting from Enterprise at all!? Trying to upgrade the vehicle went out the window quickly. I feel like, had I booked through Alamo, I would’ve saved money. Additionally I was given a vehicle with Gwinnett County Georgia plates to drive around Maine in for my now already downsized wedding, (4 people all tested negative before nuptials). For those of you not up to date, one of the largest hot spots for Covid 19 is Gwinnett County Georgia. The looks I got while driving around in that vehicle were ridiculous. I booked with enterprise, to use Enterprise, not Alamo and by going through another company I didn’t receive the usual enterprise professionalism. Very dissatisfied in the overall experience. It all seems like small potatoes but for a rental that cost me nearly $600 I expected more.

Car quality and cleanliness was perfect. It was appreciated for the one way eight plus hour trip. We would of appreciated though the advice of uncovering the EZ Pass device to avoid the tolls by plate charge plus the administration charge next time. We understand that this device is not available in every car but it was in this one.

Reserved a car online and called in to confirm. Get to the outlet and told that they have no cars and booking online can’t confirm they have a car. Never before have I heard that excuse!!! Took a taxi to the store and absolutely zero service. Do not recommend this location. Called back the booking agent and reported this location.

So I was happy and unhappy! I went online on Saturday to book a car for Sunday, the online thing said they had cars available and time slots available. First thing Sunday morning I get a call from a guy in the Bangor Hammond st enterprise telling me there was a mix up and that they don’t have any time available for me. He apologized to me and was really nice he proceeded to help make things work out. Well he tried he changed my rental to the Waterville location and told me that the Waterville location has an appointment for Tuesday the 28 th of July @2. Then said they will more then likely have an opening before that. I said ok he set it up.Monday the 27th I call over to the Waterville location. The first person was nice and we discussed there was a possibility he could squeeze me in at some point. I told him about the appointment I had on Monday and what time it was so he knew when I couldn’t go in. Well I called back about an hour later because I had messed up the appointment time and didn’t wanna miss an opportunity to get the rental. She answered the phone with this huge attitude and I explained about everything that was going on and I just wanted to let her know I messed up the time. She then with a big attitude and not nice tone told me well it says you have an appointment @2 on Tuesday the 28th so I dont think we have a different and then stated I think I should have a car then. So basically she said she may not even have a car for me at the appointment time. I said ok and she said bye.I then called Bangor back and talked with a very nice lady. I explained the situation and I told her the truth that the 28 is abstressful day and that I really needed a car for today(Monday the 27th). She asked when I could get up there. I told her I had an appointment from 11:30-12:30, She said can you do 1:30 I said sure.I arrived in Bangor a few mins after 1:30. When I got there the lady who told me they would have one ready @1:30 then stated she had no car. Some one pulled in with a car and she said I could have it they’d just need to clean it. So then I was told it would be a bit longer I left to take kids to go potty and came back. I didn’t leave the first time until after 2. Then I came back and was told the car she said I could have I couldn’t actually get. She said she realized after it needed an oil change. So then after waiting for longer she finally said she was going to find a different car and I ended up with a Toyota camery. The car she was going to give me was a Dodge Charger. I was a little disappointed in the difference. And didn’t leave until after 3.I was renting the car for a week so I needed it when I placed the order for it online. I got it around 3 pm and even though that happened I still had to bring it back @ 1:30 on the following Monday. It was a crazy stressful experience.

This was an insurance vehicle. They called to set up the rental after the insurance agent talked to them. I asked specifically for an SUV and was told it would be available at noon the next day. I told them I would pay extra and need an SUV. I was assured that one would be available and given the exact cost and time to pick it up.We arrive to get the SUV. We are so sorry. None came back in tody. Here...we have a small sports car. Snowing in Maine and we live on a self maintained dirt road in the FOREST!!! Where the insurance had already done the claim, we were stuck with whatever they felt like giving us and they knew it. They were happy to get paid. I will call the insurance tonight and Downeast Toyota rental will have my rental ready to pick up tomorrow. If I thought I could get my money back, Id bring this thing right back today!! SHADY. LIARS. NOT GOING HERE AGAIN

The office in Bangor, located behind a service station, was small, so I suspect it wasn’t the only one in the city. The first car we were given was an “upgrade,” which was nice. Unfortunately, a couple miles down the road the “service now” light began to flash. We went back immediately to report the problem and were told it wasn’t a problem, and we could drive it with the light on; we were taking the car into Canada so we didn’t want to take a chance. In the end, we were given the car we had originally asked for (so, no upgrade). Still, the car was comfortable—perhaps more so than the upgrade car, and gave good gas mileage. Returning the car was, as they say in Bangor, “easy peasy.” The young man who drove us to the airport was courteous and helpful. We will use Enterprise again.

If you rent vehicles often youll learn the car rental business (no matter where you rent) can sometimes be a bit hectic. What matters most to me as a customer is the employees at this location always do their best. Keep up the good work! P.S. Where do we start? We picked up the car drove away had no key, thank God we didnt shut the car off. We turned around went back to get the key. Next day driving, windshield was very dirty now we learn that the washer fluid is bone dry, drive back to enterprise for them to fill it. Very aggravating, you would think they would check the oil and windshield washer upon leaving. Next, drove on the interstate only to find that shimmy and shaking barely could drive it on the interstate, called them to make them aware that we needed a new vehicle. Were in town for my mother-in-laws funeral, needed to pick up family in Lewiston, No vehicle to swap out 😟. They stated that they would call us as soon as they got a car in .NOT ! no phone call from them, we called them back the next day only to learn that they did have a vehicle, now we returned back to approach a freshly washed Subaru that put out strong cigar odors upon approaching open drivers door, we declined. We waited a few more minutes for another vehicle being backed out of the wash bay. A big pain not a good experience with enterprise this time. Office staff is fine, over worked, not able to get everything they need done, with that said, the cars are clean, and in great shape, they range from compact cars to full size trucks.

They got me on the road within 15 minutes with a nice car. They told me all that I needed to know and was very helpful. Returning the car was super easy and was about 10 minutes.

Left stranded at BGR. I booked online, arrived at 2:15pm on a Saturday, called the location at 2:30 for the shuttle, waited 12 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. 12 minutes is how long their system will let you stay on hold waiting for someone to pick up the phone until it hangs up on you. A shuttle happened to drive by at 3, by which time I had already cancelled with Enterprise and got a car (less expensive and less hassle) with Hertz. Would NOT recommend using this location. Youll get stranded if your flight lands too close to closing hours.

My husband and I were truly amazed at the friendliness of the ENTIRE staff at this location. Even though it was -30 on the day we reached ME, each and every single person went out of their way to help us get our car and ensuring that we stayed warm. By far the best experience we have had at ANY car rental place - from being picked up from the airport to the cab reservation to take us to airport after dropping our car at 4am - it was all perfect. P.S. we travel A LOT so this statement definitely says a lot.

I called to find out rates before planning a trip and told the representative repeatedly I wanted to compare my rates before booking and wouldnt be booking at this call.He kept cutting me off and telling me he just needed a name and phone number to book and I AGAIN said I called to inquire about rates only and he essentially said he couldnt guarantee the car would be there and then hung up on me without answering other questions I had asked.Not a very good first impression and Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

A old lady with good insurance hit my car so i got a rental while it was being fixed. so i didnt have to pay anything but a 50 deposit which they returned. i got a 2019 truck it was way cool. the transaction was super easy and smooth. they even picked me up and dropped me off. every one i dealt with was wicked chill and easy going.

I would give this a zero if I could. Horrible customer service go somewhere other than here. Landed in Bangor and called the number for enterprise for the shuttle. A gentleman picked up the phone and said the shuttle would get here in 5-8 minutes. It bad enough you have to get to a shuttle for enterprise from the airport. But its fine I waited after 20 minutes waiting and no shuttle I had to call again. And a young lady picked up the phone, when I told her iv been waiting 27 minutes for the shuttle she had asked me sarcastically if I had called the number for pick up and I said I did and that I have been waiting for a long time now. She said the driver never left and it was a miscommunication that I would have to wait another 10 min for the driver to get there because of their lack of customer service. Trust me if I didnt have to go to this enterprise I would of gone to Hertz or anyone else. Because if this is how they treat their customers and including no apologies, then count me out Ill book from now on at Hertz or sixt or anyone else. This enterprise is terrible. Wow. Just wow. Awful customer service. No mention that the rental place was 5mi from the airport. Shuttle took forever to arrive at the airport. Check in at the actual rental place was horrible - slow, not helpful.Will never rent from this location again. I suggest National, Avis, or Budget over Enterprise.

The staff at Enterprise were both friendly and most helpful. The car was what we had ordered, but had not been washed or cleaned, the staff woman was willing to have that done but we were more interested in getting on the road. She did clean the outside of all the windows.My only real complaint is that the location of the rental office is very, VERY difficult to see from the highway (its behind a gas station) and we heard the same complaint from other renters. The problem is compounded by the brochure Enterprise handed out which had the wrong name of the gas station on it!Other than that, it was a good experience. Quickly in and out, good service to and from the airport, very friendly staff.

Enterprise is my choice for transportation when my RV needs repair. They pick me up which means everything when I am in a strange city and have no one I can turned to for a favor. The cars are always clean, the staff friendly and the costs are reasonable.

The exterior of the van was dirty and the windows had not been cleaned on the inside or outside. There were hand prints, tape and hazy film on all of the windows. What happened to providing a clean automobile to customers?
