I just traveled to Bangor for a family visit. On the way up on 95 a piece of a truck tire smashed into my car, scraping my hood and breaking the drivers side windshield wiper. I panicked a bit, thinking the whole arm was broken. I needed to use my car and the forecast was rain for the next few days. It was 5pm. I called Quirk Subaru and spoke with Matt Ireland. He could not have been more helpful. His service appts were booked solid for the week but he squeezed me in the next day. Fortunately for me it was only the wiper blade that was broken and not the arm so I did not end up needing the service appt after all. But I wanted to write this review to thank him. Thank you Matt.

Today I had my second disappointing experience at Quirk Subaru in Bangor. When I purchased my new Outback I did the transaction mostly online and on the phone. When I went to pickup my brand new vehicle it was dark, we looked it over and purchased. When I got home I realized the back seat was COVERED in dog hair and even had a dog dish on the floor under the seat! I was not impressed and really not impressed with the managers offer for me to drive the 90 min back so they could vacuum. I had a few other suggestions, he didnt accept, I vacuumed my brand new car. Not cool.Fast forward to the vibration in my dash, still under warranty. I called yesterday to see if I could get an appointment. They offered today at 1030, great I was gonna be in the area, but needed a lift to UMO by 1030. The scheduler said sure be here by 10. She then when on to explain that he said if something comes up you wont get your car back till late afternoon . I confirmed I actually had an appointment, she said yes, but sometimes things come up with other people. Great... My daughter and I arrive at 0950 and wait 30 min for the shuttle that will be there in 5-10 min. I asked for my keys and left to make my appointment. No one seemed to mind I left, no follow-up call. I have a car with a vibration. I will get it fixed. I will buy again, and not from Quirks. Clearly customer service is not part of their business model.

My husband and I bought a Subaru Impreza yesterday from Quirk. We worked with Victor Skorapa and he was amazing! He listened to our unique situation and was very patient with getting us into a vehicle that suits our needs. Kevin in the finance department was very knowledgeable and really helped up us with a coverage plan that fits our needs as well. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone who is in the market for a new vehicle!

What a great place with excellent people! I brought my 2010 in for an airbag recall fix. The service advisor Jim was quick to get all the information entered and get my car into the shop. I stopped by the parts desk and bought a hat and coffee travel mug and had great service from the parts fellow. Followed that up with a stop on the showroom to chat with salesman Vic, who had a lot of great information to share and general conversation as well. Then I took a stroll through the lot to do a bit of drooling over the new Subarus in stock. My only disappointed moment was that they no longer offer manual transmissions in the newer Outbacks. Ive been a standard transmission guy my whole life, but I suppose all good things must end. At any rate, Quirk Subaru on Hogan Road in Bangor Maine is a great shop and Id recommend them to anyone who is a Subaru lover like me to stop on in and talk to the great people at Quirk Subaru!!

Went to buy out my wifes lease the other day, worked with a fella named Pat, when I asked how many points they were holding when the financing came through (shes 780s score) he fed me a line of bull and said dealerships cannot hold points anymore......was a bold face lie....I sell cars for a living, have been for awhile...we hold points on almost every deal. I wont step foot in this showroom ever again. Too bad cause Im due to trade up in a year...

Have always had a positive experience bringing my Crosstrek in for service. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The waiting area is kept clean and is comfortable. I drive over 90 minutes just to bring my car here! Definitely recommend them for service.

Very nice ppl. The salesman actually took the time to do all safety precautions for the covid. The elderly lady I take care of bought a Subaru Forester from here because of the salesman being honest and tkn time to actually care. Vic was his name. I cant remember his last name because it was hard to pronounce let alone remember the spelling, lol. I 100% recommend buying a vehicle from here. Honestly like every other dealership. I went in for a simple oil change for $80, almost three hours later ended up paying almost $300. I was charged $200 dollars in labor for things that should of taken maybe an hour. Work on your own cars do not take them to dealerships, theyre all crooks.

Best service even on a snowstorm day. Didnt even had to wait long to get a ride from Bangor Orono and back. Nice staff and quick service. The service was also very fast and way within the set time limit. Book your appointment in advance because I got mine two weeks after maybe because of the winter beginning.

I would not buy or get service at any of the Quirk dealerships. I bought a new Hyundai from them and it was a lemon. I lost the lemon law arbitration because i was up against Professionals that do this all the time. Horrible experience, horrible people that work there. Unfortunately I learned of their bad reputation after I bought the car.

We had an emergency with my mothers 2008 Subaru while driving long distance. My mother had bought her first Subaru from this dealership so we decided to get off the highway and take a chance on Quirk to see if they were open and if they could see what the problem was. Nick Labun was awesome! He told us he had 8 customers ahead of us (this was at noon on a Saturday) but he would do his best to diagnose the problem and fix it!. He did as he promised - and the problem was serious- a bad axle - we could have been badly injured if we had continued to drive on our trip. We were back on the road by 4:30 PM! Thank you Nick for excellent customer service!

I took my Forester here today as an emergency and had never been there before. They squeezed me in to look at my car, and they came up with a solution that fixed the issue with my brakes. They also alerted me to the airbag recall and I set up an appointment to get that done! Jim and the mechanic, thank you for taking the time to explain the issue and finding a fix for me! Definitely recommend you guys.

Besides putting the windshield wipers on backwards after replacing the wiper cover for a recall everything else seemed ok. Recieved emails right after telling issues had been found with my car, call quick and the parts for the recall just done have arrived at the dealership. Even though nothing was said to me when I picked it up. Hmmm... Was clean inside however after replacing the airbag for another recall.

On Saturday my wife and I had spoken to a different dealership in relation to getting a new truck and being told our downpayment would be 3k for us to get into the low low payment of 800 a month we figured there was no way we could get what we needed. Then I remembered I had an aquaintance who worked at Quirk and gave him a call. I gave him all the information, and what I needed, knowing he worked at Suburu, and they dont really deal in trucks. (I think the Brat was more an El-Camino than a truck, and they dont even make them any more.;) ). A few hours later he calls back, and says he has taken the time to partner with the Ram dealership next door, and gave me numbers well within our price range. After that it was a short drive north, and some pleasant, non pushy salesmanship, and the wife and I were stimulating the economy. Thank you Pat Spekhardt for all you did, as well as thank you to the Ram people who helped him work with us. The truck is Great!

Service representative listened very carefully to everything I said and asks many questions to further his understanding of my auto problem. All was written down for the mechanics and the car was checked out thourougly. A comment I made about having to jump the battery was enough to have the battery checked and then replaced. Windshield wipers were replaced although never mentioned. I thought the service was excellent and would definitely recommend to anyone.

I recently bought my first Subaru and it was also my first lease. I can’t say enough about the amazing help I got. I inquired to see my options as far as leasing. I got set up with Stan and it was the most smooth hassle free experience. I had a lot of questions and even though I thought “I’m making this poor guy work for it today” he never once made me feel like a nusesnse. I test drove a few cars that I wanted not just what they wanted to put me in. Got set up in the perfect car for us and our growing family, 2018 Subaru Outback in the most beautiful green :). Brad in finance went to bat for us with the bank and got the payment lower then they had thought. My husband and I wanted to sleep on it (we went in just looking and to ask questions) they completely supported us and didn’t want us to rush into anything. We went home and honestly couldn’t think of a reason to pass up this oppurtunity. We left Stan a message telling him that we wanted to move forward. When we arrived to do the paperwork our car was ready, the insurance company was informed and Brad had us signing the documents. When you go ask for Stan you won’t regret it!!!

Went in for an oil change and to check out the mud guard which popped out of place due to snow build up in the wheel well on a 2016 Subaru Impreza. Checked the oil level when I went home and it was way above the allowed max. Contacted Quirk Subaru (didnt believe me and said they had to check the level) contacted Subaru Headquarters. Went back in and the service manager checked the level without letting the oil settle. After a while the oil was well above the maximum oil level.Didnt apologize for overfilling my oil, didnt apologize for taking up my time. Didnt record it or hand me any paperwork stating they overfilled my oil. Drove over 40 miles for a simple oil change that had to be done twice. I felt treated like a second rate citizen in this place.Ill let the photo show how much they overfilled my oil.Will not be going back here if I can help it. Also on a side note, this Subaru dealership is not kid friendly. The Ford dealership was a lot friendlier with kids than this place by far. Will not be buying a Subaru from here or coming here ever again as long as I can help it.

Do NOT under any circumstances use this dealership for service. I lived in Bangor for two years, and had to have a SIMPLE repair done on my Outback. As a long time resident told me, DONT GO TO QUIRK BECAUSE ITS ALWAYS BAD NEWS. I didnt listen, and sure enough, they lied, cheated and worst INTIMIDATED ME (a woman) in the most disgusting way. I refused to pay for the repairs they lied about, THEY TOOK ME TO COURT. This is where the story really gets good. I showed their smarmy lawyer my documentation from two other dealerships in the area who said they were willing to testify that the repairs were highly unlikely and unnecessary. Smarmy lawyer quickly exited the courthouse and I could hear him saying on his way out, She has a good story to tell. One minute later hes back begging me to let it all go. We went back in the court room and he literally SNUGGLED UP TO MY SHOULDER whispering, why dont we just drop the whole thing.Later, they had a very negative review from an older gentleman who had a very similar experience, and guess what?! The review was done before you could blink. Quirk also is part of the crooked, extortion YELP Reviews. Yelp refused to post my review, obviously because Quirk has paid them dearly. Im not worried. Some day I will be back to the area, I will get my money back OUT OF THEIR HIDES.

The staff is so friendly, they got everything I needed repaired and even found extra things my car needed for free because they were recalls! The only complaint I have is that they said my brake fluid was dirty and contaminated with water and that I needed new brake pads and rotors, but my brake fluid is completely clean with no water and my rotors are all perfectly smooth.

I recently received a recall notice for my 2005 Subaru outback, on Monday I just called and asked them about scheduling an appointment and the person I spoke to on the phone made an appointment for Thursday morning at 8 AM. I showed up Thursday morning at 8 AM to find out that the parts arent even available and that its apparently my fault for thinking that they scheduled the appointment, Ill let whoever reads this decides what that has to say about their service.

Told me I needed 3 new struts and that head gaskets were bad. $5k job. Went to another shop, mechanic had 20+ years experience with Subarus and said I needed 1 new strut (the one Quirk had replaced a year earlier) and that head gaskets were absolutly fine. Consumer Beware!

I cant actually speak to the service here, as I never made it in. I can speak a bit to the customer service: I was hung up on once, transferred between departments about 6 times over the course of three calls, and promised a call back that never happened. On my second call I was quoted a price of $269, but after I made an appointment the following week and asked the price, it was $400, and when I was (again) transferred to a department that could potentially tell me about that price difference, it went up to $450! I (obviously) cancelled my appointment - itd have probably been $1000 by the time the job was actually done!
