I brought my car to the Harford Road Pep Boys location for an oil change. I dropped it off in the morning, and picked it up in the afternoon. The service was great and the price was more than reasonable. In particular, I would like to thank Sade who was friendly, professional, and helpful. Im giving this 5 star review to Pep Boys because of her great customer service, which is what will bring me back in the future.

Came down first thing in the morning as soon as they opened and got my Daytime running light bulb installed. When i came in a day before they told me they dont have the part and they only installed them for $20. When i came down this morning the guy had the bulb in stock in like 5 mins and installed it free of charge. What a great employee unfortunately i didnt get his name but that was the best service i recieved all year.

My visit today was short and sweet. The manager Steve was very pleasant. I ordered tires online and chose them as my delivery site. They were quick an efficient. Took less then 15 minutes for the installation. I was extremely pleased and was also given a discount because of my order. Thank you Steve! I’ll be back because of your kindness.

They are severely understaffed. Had an appointment at 1pm and they did not take my car until 6pm. They should not take appointments until staff is hired. They should set that long wait expectation when you get there. At least the manager was accommodating after the fact.

I appreciate the time and effort that Sade and Charles preformed the their duties when it came to taking care of me and my woman. I also appreciate their self determination and will power to get me in when the time was available.

I went to get my tires replaced and Steven took really good care of me. I told him that I had a 10 hour drive in the morning and he wanted to make sure that I had a safe trip. We had a miscommunication about which tires were to be replaced, so he stayed after hours and fixed the problem. He even gave me a new tire for free because of it. That’s great customer service and I will be back. I’m recommending all of my friends to see Steve when they come to this Pep Boys location.

Got out of the car returning from daycare pickup and heard a hissing sound coming from the rear drivers side tire. I took a closer look and sure enough, there was a screw stuck in the flat part of the tire. Got right back in the car and headed over to Pep Boys on Harford Road hoping they could take care of it before closing. They were able to plug the tire pretty quickly with no problem, and the staff was friendly and helpful as well. Thanks for the save!

Scheduled 2 different appointments to get my tires installed and aligned. Was told there would be over a 2 hour wait before they could even start installing both times. What is the point of making an appointment then? Eventually just took my tires and got them installed elsewhere

Got there at noon, I waited 2 hours to get my oil changed. Maybe its the time of day that you go but I found the long wait excessive especially since I booked an appointment in advance. Definitely plan for a long wait time at this location.

Every time I go there I cannot get my car service. I had an appointment at 9, 10 oclock he telling me its a backup. I have to wait an hour. 2nd incident, I had a 2 oclock appointment. When I got there, he told me the appointment had been canceled. I felt like I could have gotten a courtesy call before I traveled 10 miles to get there. Than the man couldnt find my keys. Than he had my work order mixed up with someone elses name. This is only a couple of incidents. This place is sorry.

So I was coming out of work and all of a sudden I had a flat tire. I googled the nearest gas station but as I was driving I saw Pep boys on Hartford road. They were about to close but Steven took my car in and had my tires fixed. That was super nice because I know how it is when you are trying to get off work! Def will be back. Months ago I got my tires changed here, they have been consistently leaking air since. They would go flat over night. At first it was just one but soon all four consistently lost air. Turns out they did not clean the beads, beads were leaking air. Do not get your tires changed here.

I placed a tire order and scheduled the install online. While driving to the appointment I decided to call and confirm the tires were actually in stock only to find out they had only 3 of 4 tires needed. However, Koryn drove to another store to pickup the 4th tire and Steven coordinated the resources on a busy Saturday to ensure my appointment was honored and the job was completed in a timely manner! The teamwork at this Pep Boys location was excellent! I appreciate them making what could have been a bad situation a positive one by putting me as the customer first.

Went early on a Wednesday for 4 new tires and they said it would be done same day. Not my first time there so my name and vehicle was already in system. Found out hours later they ordered the wrong size tires...not sure how possible if youve serviced my tires yourselves before but ok. Next day comes and tires needed still havent been delivered. FRIDAY comes and still no tires but kept being told its on the way. I finally take my truck back so I can get around. I was supposed to get a call when my tires came and Im still waiting for the call a whole week later. Normally a great experience but mightve lost a customer.

Came at 6:45pm on a Friday and got everything I needed and a battery installation right away. Thank you!!

I went to Pep Boys on Hartford Road as I was trying to order tires for my vehicle but because I have aftermarket wheels, the system would not allow me to order them. I went to the service department and the service manager not only assisted me with ordering my tires, he scheduled my appointment to have the tires mounted and have an alignment for Christmas Eve and had me on the road by 10:00AM. Great customer service. This is why I go to this store.

Went in for a routine oil change and service. Jimmy, the assistant manager, greeted me professionally and courteously. The service was quick and thorough. Jimmy let me know everything was great but may want to look into a few replacements down the road. He wasnt pushy or trying to up-sell me on anything. I could tell he was looking out for my best interest.Will easily go back for all my cars needs.

Pep Boys on Harford road is the only shop that I trust to take my cars to. The manager, Jimmy M. is always friendly on the phone and in person and gets me an appointment for an oil change quickly and at a convenient time. My oil changes are always completed within the hour and Ive always felt welcomed to hang out in the comfortable waiting room. My car is returned clean unlike when I have taken it to other shops. The staff is also knowledgeable and I trust they do a thorough inspection to recommend if my car needs any repairs I may be unaware of. I actually need some work done and Im so glad they are open during this time and I can count on them.

The cashiers and EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the shop were mask-less. Im so sad I spent money here. And they were rude about it. Go somewhere else.

Theyre only getting 1 star because 0 was not an option.Took my vehicle in for 4 brand new tires and took pictures of my vehicle before it went in. I receive my vehicle back 6hrs later with one of my rims severely scratched and damaged.I spoke to the manager, and he ordered a new rim only to tell me to bring my vehicle up and he can have it swapped out quickly,,quickly, problem.Upon arrival the manager asked for my keys, and handed them to a tech. I then waited over 2 hours for 1 wheel to be changed.At no point in time was I notified about the wait, asked if it was okay to wait, given an estimated time or anything. This was extremely inconvenient and set my day back significantly.I will NEVER bring my vehicle back to the location for any reason. Id rather pay 2x the cost at the dealer.Pep boys youve lost a customer

But I will say the young man behind the counter that day ( sorry I forgot his name)!?Was, helpful as soon as I walked in, and towards the counter he asked if he could help!Unfortunately they didnt have exactly what I needed! ( Was looking for a 24mm nut for a front stabilizer bar!Not something most parts places would carry anyway I dont think! But, he still directed me to their help section, and bin boxes, hoping I might find one!Anyway, I didnt which was ok, but still ended buying some oil stabilizer for my car!Its is convenient to where Im at now!They also do tires and service work!

I came in on a Friday at 6:30 pm to have a Pep Boys battery tested as it would die fast. The serviceman tested the battery and told me it reported that it needed to be changed. I went to the service department and asked if they can change it tonight. He said No, because I came in after 7:00pm. I proceeded to let him know that I feel I shouldnt have to come back since the battery is under warranty, and how I would be traveling the next day and didnt want to be stuck with a dead battery. He continued to insist that they cant change it now, and that I can leave it with them. (It took me 25 minutes to drive their from home, and it was bout 2 degrees outside.) The same serviceman who tested my battery came over, and then they got disrespectful. First, the tech at the counter stated that if I dont have the receipt they wont look at the battery. I had to tell him that that is not true, (since I clarified that before I came, and I am aware of the process with battery warranties as I used to work for a auto parts store). I told him its a Bosch battery, with the Pep Boys sticker right on top! He then stated that Oh, if its Bosch we can check it in the system. The battery tester guy then said, Well you can buy any battery online and put a sticker on it! So he just accused me of lying about the battery, putting a Pep Boys sticker on it, and bringing it into Pep Boys to be replaced??!!??!! Needless to say I was not happy whatsoever. I would give 0 stars if I could based on how I was treated. If you cant service me today ....fine. But to turn around and tell a paying customer something that is not true, then to basically accuse me of lying and trying to rip off your store is completely unacceptable. Please improve the customer service training that is provided to these servicemen.

The service team is always accommodating of my requests, and as a TNO; things may arise at a moments notice..especially JIMMY, Asst Service Mgr. and ERIC, Service Tech are always friendly and quick to repair in addition to doing a wonderful job going above and beyond whatever my vehicle needs. I just love them!

When I arrived, there was 1 person in front of me and two employees working. They both was on the phone and neither one of them said that they will be with us. So 1 guy got off the phone and helped the person in front of me and the other guy was just sitting there holding the phone and playing with his cup. At the end of the day, they performed the work on my car in a timely manner. I would definitely go back to that establishment.

Guy at service had a whole attitude for no reason. Young woman in front of me placed her work order at his register while he was on the phone. After she walked away, with an attitude of disgust, he pushed it to the far edge of the table and threw the keys at it. I didnt put my paper up after seeing that, but he looked up at me and said do you have an appointment?. I told him no and he rolled his eyes and said Id have a 3hr wait. He didnt offer or suggest I make an appointment for a later time. I just walked away. Way too tired to deal with people like that.

They are top tier thee slowest and I might add unprofessional staff I’ve ever seen. No way anyone should be waiting 5hrs for an oil change and brake pads...
