I worked with Anna Kazakovtseva to send in a dead external drive an employee had been using to work from home temporarily. Secure Data Recovery was able to recover 97% of the files. I was impressed that Anna knew exactly who I was every time I called, which made me feel like a valued customer. That is a rare experience these days. She also made the entire process extremely easy.

My experience with SDRS has been nothing short of spectacular. My account manager, Eric Dvorin, was amazing. Not only is he well versed in whine interpretation & resolution, but he was extremely patient with a dinosaur like me. I had NO idea what I was getting into. I found a HDD that I had in a box for possibly 5 years that I THOUGHT might be from a server I had that had failed. I thought there might be photos that were important to me on there so, based upon a recommendation, I signed up with SDRS and mailed it in (and there was a significant amount of hand holding entailed in that process already!!). The HDD was examined and they did find a goodly amount of data on it, including the pics I had hoped for. Then reality struck. The schedule of fees for the work entailed was aimed at businesses and such and for me, a retired dino, it was beyond my reach. The website states that if I dont accept the terms for the work, there would be no charge. Eric had already put so much time and effort into my problem that I offered to pay SOMETHING to cover the costs involved (as it is in no way SDRSs fault I am a bit thick). Eric came back and asked what I thought I could manage and then went to his manager to see what could be done. Apparently Eric is a master negotiator as well because he was able to come back with a deal that worked for everyone. At a time when online customer service is becoming more & more prevalent, dealing with highly competent, knowledgeable & patient people is unfortunately becoming an alarming rarity. I do not possess the vocabulary to adequately praise Eric and his efforts....the only thing I can say is whatever he is being paid, it ISNT ENOUGH!!! A raise and every effort to keep such a valuable asset is in order!

Eric Dvorin, the staff person who handled my service request, was exceptionally responsive and patient with me. He diagnosed the flash drive problem quickly and provided a quote. When I said I could not afford the service, he did his best to reach an affordable plan. He was very professional, respectful, and polite even when the repair work had to be cancelled. I would happily return to this company when my financial situation improves.

I had 8 years of photos on a portable drive that failed. They were able to retrieve all but 3 files, which seemed pretty good to me. Elijah was very professional and communicated throughout the process. Warning: This is not a cheap endeavor. Also, as someone else stated, the lowest price does not include a drive to transfer your files to, so I FedExed them one which I purchased for about half the cost of theirs. Their drive is higher security, which is probably good for commercial clients, but I didnt need that for my personal stuff.Also, during the pandemic, you dont drop off your files. Contact them and youll ship them what you need recovered. Note that they dont tell you the cost until after you send them your drive, but they will send it back if you dont go with them.

I lost access to a portable hard drive, and was looking for a place to recover the data. The last time I had to do this was a few years back, but was not impressed with that firm, so I found Secure Data services. The response from the personnel was very good, with quick turn-around time to all communications, and helpful information. They were able to recover all the data, and in a reasonably good timeframe. I had no rush for the data recovery, so I wasnt too concerned about that. The price was average, though -- about the same as other services Ive used. One drawback was that Secure Data Services did not provide a recovery drive at cost, or even at retail prices. The base service is data recovery and you provide your own recovery drive. Secure Data Services will provide a recovery drive, but at significantly more cost than if you get a replacement drive and ship it to them, which is what I did. The reason for the additional cost for a higher-tier recovery plan, according to their website, is because, in addition to the replacement drive, there were additional services. However, none of the extra services had any value to me at all. So that just made the cost of the drive way too much. But I did ship a replacement drive to them and they transferred the data to it and have shipped it back. So Id come back if I need to do this again.

Ive mailed seven hard disk from my failed server to Secure data recovery hoping that some of the data from it can be recovered. In matter of days Ive received email that all of the files can be recovered. Mr McMacken made sure that i get the best experience i couldve imagine. Weve talked and emailed each other couple of times in order to make sure that i get the files in fastest possible way. My experience with Secure data recovery was exceptional. Chris was very helpful through the entire process and made sure I was kept up to date on my hard drive getting fixed. Hard drive was 99% recovered, but the damaged files were easily re-downloaded. A bit expensive, but in the end it was worth the amount of data I would have lost.

I contacted SDR when I found an old 8TB media drive in my desk drawer. I was trying to figure out whether it would be more cost-effective to recover the files, or start rebuilding the library from scratch, and I reached out to Secure Data Recovery after some research. I received a call from Chris McMacken within an hour, who was able to set some very reasonable expectations for the pricing, time frame, and probability that they would be able to succeed at recovery. Given the low priority of the project, I shipped the drive in, and let them have a look at it to do an assessment. The iOS application gave me continuous updates on the status of my drive, and once theyd finished the analysis, I received a followup call and email from Chris explaining that due to the extent of the damage to the drive, and the nature of the files I was trying to recover, any attempt at rebuilding the drive was very likely to fail, and they couldnt recommend attempting it.And thats honestly super cool. I wonder if a lesser company or representative might have pressured me to spend the money on recovery even though it was likely to fail, but Chris was very honest with me about what was probably going to happen if they tried, and I was able to invest that money in a more robust storage solution (which in the event something goes catastrophically wrong, will very definitely be referred to SDR for assistance).Id highly recommend this company (and Chris) for anyones data recovery needs.

Unfortunately I paid an unexperience ITspecialist to up date my laptop with themost uptodate software. This individualwork in the IT department at one of my accounts. Im a Missionary and havetraveled all over the world during missionwork, as well as personal travel. Secure Data Recovery did a FANTASTIC job recovering all of my data. My HD died and they diagnosed a mechanical failure. They were able to restore everything and offered several options on how to return the data to me. In the end it was easiest to buy a drive from them (@ very good price) and have them send me back my data on the new drive. I dealt with Alec and he couldnt have been nicer or more knowledgeable. Had a hard drive fail. I researched data recovery companies and found SDRS recommended. I completed and online form and a rep (Eli) promptly responded. They provided me a shipping label for next day air service to send the drive to them where they performed a free diagnostic. In the end, unfortunately, the drive was too damaged to recover as the platters were terribly scratched by a broken head. SDRS let me know and gave me suggestions and software to keep my data safe in the future. It ended up costing me absolutely nothing. With excellent service and great communication, I will keep SDRS in mind for the future if the need arises.

Our recovered data represents a careers worth of scientific research, and its loss would have been a disaster for my wifes work in retirement as an academic consultant and public speaker. Do not use this company for your data recovery needs.****updated Review 08/01/2019****I felt the need to add to my original review since I have subsequently dropped my rating for my recent experience with secure data. After receiving my full disk recovery image from Secure Data I began to go through the process of restoring my files that I was concerned about recovering. I started by restoring my financial software files which was successful and then turned to my emails. I was not able to find my outlook files on the image and contacted my POC at the company. After a painful process of trying to get an answer from secure data I was told that there was no outlook email files on the image despite the presence of the outlook program. I would like to point out that when you first contact Secure Data they ask you what files are important to you and obviously I told them what was important to me. Also of note is that I had a specific conversation about outlook email recovery and my POC said that the techs could go in and specifically look for those files. Well BLUF I paid over 2,000 dollars and did not get any of my emails which was on the top of my list to retrieve. I know that they were able to retrieve other files so I guess that satisfied their policy of no data no charge. Just so potential new clients are aware you will pay a lot of money and may not get what you are expecting to get despite being told there is high confidence that file recovery will be successful.****Original Review****I highly recommend secure data for your data recovery needs, although it may be more expensive compared to other companies, I would say you get what you pay for! Secure Data Recovery helped me out in a major way when I dropped my hard drive and nearly lost over 800GBs of memories in pictures, videos, music, and college assignments. They were able to recover it all and send it out to me on a brand new hard drive, with all of the files and folders in the exact same places. The recovery took some time and was pricey, but the customer service was excellent. My rep Alec kept me informed every step of the way and I was able to reach him via email or over the phone with any questions and concerns I had. I would definitely recommend SDR if you absolutely need to get your data back!

Working with Scott Moses, received immediate response to online request for assistance. SDR performed a quick assessment of damaged USB drive and was able to quickly and effectively recovery all the data. Submitted damaged drive to SDR and within a couple days had process to move forward to recover data. Within a week, was notified that a full recovery was completed.Could not have been an easier process. Beginning with the easy of use on their website, to constant communication via email providing status of process.

They didnt recovery my files of my sd card, Which can happen i know but they didnt tell me why or any reason at all. Then i had to keep calling to get my card sent back to me, just took my $30 and say they couldnt do it. I was better off not going to them at all. They were beyond useless.

I accidently converted my data disk into a bootable one.Nick Totarella from Secure Data Recovery called me within a day after I submitted my request. He explained every step of the process clearly and he was very responsive.The damage to the data was very severe, so a junk of files were completely lost. Nick and his team would have to beak in the disk and only recover files of 3MB or smaller.Unfortunately, I also need to recover about 1TB of pictures and videos, which mostly are more than 3 MB in size, so I requested to have my disk back and to think about other options.Even I didnt proceed with the recovery, I was very happy with the service I received and definitely recommend Secure Data Recovery to anyone needs this type of service.
