I took my laptop in for repair. After getting it assessed the repairs cost more than the computer. He said the motherboard was bad along with other things.I took it to another shop and found out NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY MOTHERBOARD and I only needed a new electric adapter! However, When the new shop tried to copy my files and pictures THEY ALL MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED.Basic Computer guy may not have sabotaged my machine but I cant say he didnt either. I do know he did not return my computer until several hours after I told him not to repair it and he seemed surprised when I told him not to repair it. I have NEVER had files disappear when I clicked on them and I have worked with computers for over 20 years.

As I finished writing the 1999th word of my 2000-word essay, my computer died. After some investigation, I thought it must be the charging port. I did a quick Find laptop repair near me, and Basic Computers was the closest one to my location. When I described the problem, Geoff knew what brand my computer was, and told me exactly how he would fix it. When I brought it over to his shop, he was very pleasant, took my deposit (which happened to be the full amount since it was so reasonable), looked at the laptop for a moment, and confirmed our suspicion. He let me know that if he needed to order a part, it would be three days, if not, it would be 24 hours. The following day he called me to say it was ready to pick up! I was unable to get there until after his business hours. Thankfully he was able to accommodate. I went to pick up my laptop and found it had been cleaned top to bottom! Im sure it was a chore, as I know how dirty it was and Im not proud of it, but there was no extra charge! As long as I live in Baltimore and keep hanging on to my old Toshiba, Geoff has my business. Im glad I found him!

The charging port on my laptop broke and I had my daughter take it to Basic Computers. She was initially told it would be about 4 days before the computer was ready but I got a call about an hour and a half later saying my laptop was repaired. Thats fast service, Ill be sure to return if I need to have my laptop repaired in the future!

I brought my laptop to this store to receive a screen installation. The job was finished a mere 2 hours later. This was on a Saturday when I saw multiple customers come to the store to place other orders. In addition, the store owner provided insight to my various other computer issues free of charge. The owner is highly professional and generous with his time and knowledge. Highest recommendation.

I dropped my laptop and my flash drive bent. This happened twice, I know how clumsy of me. I was laughing the first time, but it wasn’t funny when the silver piece came off. My friend told me to to take the files off, but I didn’t because I was busy doing other stuff like my school work. Anyway, I was panicking looking for file saving businesses. So expensive, but this company was the one. I called at first but did not get an answer. Got a call back soon after. I told the owner my issue, and he said they could do it. My mother went up there the same day. The cost was $395!!! They saved my life, seriously. The only downfall is they’re not wheelchair accessible, but they can’t help that. My mother said the place is very nice and clean. I had no idea this place existed. Glad I do now so I’ll recommend them to others. Thank you so much for saving my hard work!

He assured me that same day service would be provided at a reasonable price. Everything he promised was delivered. Top of the line service and computer knowledge my Dell laptop would not hold a charge after going to numerous places finally saw his sign in yard about screen repair so I went in to ask questions need less to say drop my computer off on a Monday got it back with in 3 days thats including ordering my part needed....price was great and service was even better
