The level of disorganization at this place is insane. I submitted a requested online because I loved the lifted truck they had in their lot. I text back and forth with Carlos Z and made an appointment to come in at 4:30 which he confirmed. I came in at 4:30 as promised and he wasn’t there. Had left for the day! What? A very nice young girl helped us, but nobody could find the keys to the truck and it was parked in the back so we couldn’t even see it. She offered to take a video but without physically seeing it there was no point. The manager came out to see us and explain, but didn’t apologize. I almost felt like this standing people up for their appointments wasn’t a big deal to him. Love the truck, but will be taking my 14K somewhere else.
I had brought in my car for a new battery change since this was my first time coming in since I had relocated from San Diego. I was quickly greeted by Adrienne and asked how may I help you. I had explained my issue if not turning off my car or it will due again since I was just jumped by AAA. Our family was ready to upgrade to a larger vehicle. We though about a few different car brands but decided since we lived out Ioniq that it only made sense to head back to Hyundai for our next car. I’m so glad we did! Glen took such good care of us and we couldn’t be happier with our Santa Fe Hybrid. This SUV has exactly the size we were looking for and the bonus of the hybrid was an unexpected surprise. Considering all that the Santa Fe offers the value is unmatched by other brands. Took my car here because I was experiencing shaking in my car. Told me I needed service that would require $1,500 dollars. Took it to 2 other places after that to make sure that was the real issue and both places told me they didnt see what hyundai was telling me. It was just a bent rim. Liars trying to make a quick buck. Shame.And you spelled my name wrong in the reply. Theres nothing more to talk about. But you guys care

I had Christian as a sales person and I would advise everyone to avoid him at all cost. He was rude to my mom and extremely pushy. I told him what I wanted and needed in a car and he lied to me about what the car was going to come with, so now I’m stuck with a car that isn’t cut out for what I need it for. I understand trying to make a sale, but when you have to lie about the car and it’s features to do it... that’s unacceptable in my opinion. His entire demeanor was unprofessional and the tactics he used was very manipulative. So, avoid him if you can. He made my experience so bad that me and my family probably won’t consider Hyundai for anymore future purchase. Which is unfortunate because their cars are actually pretty cool and affordable (which is why this is a 3 star review). If this review was solely based on Christian than it would be zero stars.

It is a waste of time when you go there with a car and numbers already set and they try and add more money then your willing to spend. Give what the people ask for not what is best for your commission. Your commission will go up when you deal honestly with customers.

So after having repeated problems with Hyundai I came back to revise my review. The sale team was great I really loved Glen, I thought he was helpful and made sure all my needs were met up until recently. I didn’t like how when it came down to signing the paperwork Jose didn’t tell me what my prices were before and after he kept hassling me to get add on “protection plans” after I repeatedly told him no it was out of my budget. He pretty much kept pushing,badgering, and wouldn’t let up until I accepted which I felt compelled to do because he wouldn’t stop asking me. I feel like as a young women he took advantage of me and now I’m stuck the prices of a bill I told them I WAS NOT comfortable paying and wasn’t informed about. What changed my mind is how they keep changing their mind so unless you’re good at playing their mind games than my recommendation for coming here is a rocky 7.

Leased a car about 3 months ago with Oyuki, a very pleasant lady. From there, the experience has gone straight down. HMFUSA sent me a monthly statement that was $0.01 higher than my contracted price. I got in touch with Jose. finance, 3 times with no resolution. I got in touch with HMFUSA 2 times. First they told me it was the computer rounding (yeah the computer writes its own programs, right?), then they told me it would be taken care of. Well, 2 months later, I received a bill for $0.02 then most recently $0.03. You are probably scratching your head, well, so am I. I have resolved that I will not pay a cent more than my contract and I dare HMFUSA to report it to the Credit Bureaus. I think Hyundai has found a way to fleece Americans, a penny times a million sales equals $10,000. Yeah give that to me. No more Hyundais for me.
We had a fantastic experience at Bakersfield Hyundai! We found the perfect Certified Previously Owned Santa Fe at a very fair price and decided it would be worth the 2.5 hour drive to Bakersfield. Natalie in the sales department worked with us on the phone to negotiate a final price. She was so patient and informative! We made the trip on a Saturday and was helped by Jose, another professional and friendly sales representative who answered any questions we had set up for a test drive. Super nice guy! Everything was exactly as expected when we picked up the car, no surprises! With some negotiating, we worked out the rate on our loan. Eric McKelvey, the finance manager, was so pleasant and spent quite a bit of time explaining everything to us and offering us different options for additional warranty coverage. He wasnt pushy at all and we felt like we made the best decisions for our situation. Overall, it was a very good day and we highly recommend Bakersfield Hyundai. Even the 2.5 hour drive home was pleasant in my new Santa Fe!

Worst experience, customer service was great but the handling of the financing with beatriz Avila was poor.They allowed me leave the dealership with the vehicle and 3 weeks later they asked me to bring the vehicle back because the bank didnt approve the loan. Its pretty annoying that they had me doing all kind of stuff to get approved and in thee end they just took the vehicle back.Worst experience with Hyundai

Joey Cortez from the Servive Department went above and beyond to help me out with my vehicle. My engine gave out on my Sonata. Joey was quick to give me feedback. With the engine being faulty, not at the hands of myself, he would request that Hyundai cover it under warranty (which I didn’t have). Thank goodness they did! Whew! He set me up with a rental car and 3 weeks later I get my car back with brand new engine, belts and hoses. Warranty covered the engine and labor and I paid a reasonable fee for the extra maintenance (belts, hoses, etc)Joey made a stressful situation easy to bear and respected my time AND wallet as well. I will definitely recommend Joey Cortez and his team at Bakersfield Hyundai to friends and family. I already told all my co-workers about his awesome service!
Overall experience was Great! I strongly recommend asking for Oyuki Castro for your sales consultation. She is easy to work with and knowledgeable.The only downside is the warranty it comes with. It comes with a 1 year factory warranty and try to tag extra package fees if you want to extend any maintenence services, bumper to bumper coverage, etc for an additional 6 years/10k plus mileage what ever comes first. My Toyota Highlander came with a 6 year warranty, so this deal almost broke my purchase.However, the Ioniq Hybrid is the best hybrid in the market right now. I wont be coming back for future ppurchases. If this doesnt bother you, by all means make the move. The ioniw is a great car!

Follow up to my review. I have no interest whatsoever in talking to a principal or some other important sounding persons at Hyundai. I have talked to enough people at Hyundai to realize it is just a waste of my time and no action. What the principle Patrick needs to do is fix the issue which is quite clear. Remove the $0.01 extra charge then inform HMFUSA to adjust my account accordingly. Easy!

Always great customer service....but had to get car relooked at for an issue that was supposedly taken care of when I was under warranty. My understanding it was a known issue with the coils on my car thinking that all of them were going to get replace and taken care of. So instead of replacing all 4 coils only 1 was was changed. Leaving me to have to come back now to get another one and pay out of pocket for. Not to say another one may go out later on, causing me to make another appointment which would 3 and maybe a 4th appointment(there’s four on my car) for something that should of been done the first time. I told the first person who worked on my car that I use it for Uber/Lyft. I was well under the warranty when I got it done the first time thinking that i wouldn’t have to worry about it. They stop at 50000 mile to replace under warranty I’m at 78000 again because I do Uber/Lyft smh

I’m a bit disappointed to say the least, it started off great with our first sales lady test drove everything was fine until talking numbers. The lady originally helping us left without a word and passed us on to some other guy who honestly just seemed like he was there to intimidate us & force us to buy. He kept pushing for us to buy when clearly we said just wanted an estimate and come back later once we knew what I wanted. Maybe honestly had he just tried to listen and give us a deal instead of being so pushy with the sale we would have came back. Everywhere else I went was okay with giving a rough estimate and me getting back to them. Left a bad taste and will not be back

Soon as I started walking the Lot, someone asked if I’ve been helped. I explained to them what I needed in a truck and they showed me exactly what I was lookin for. Ele helped me decide between the two trucks I was looking at. Hes a helpful guy when it comes to making a big decision like buying a car. The Process was super easy once I decided what I wanted. Took me no more than an hour to finish all the paper work. I’d recommend this dealership for good pricing, and really great people .
I went to their service department on 6/14/19 to get my O2 filter replaced. I was anticipating having to spend somewhere around $500 - $600.After they did a diagnostic they told me that I had many repairs other than just the O2 filter that would total around $1,500. Part of the repairs were for my rear breaks (They said that they were at 1 mm) and that my alternator needed to be replaced because it was running at 12 volts when it needed to be at 14. They charged me $120 for the diagnostic, and I then left.I start to call around to get additional price estimates. I end up at Les Schwab. Their price on the brakes was $30 cheaper. When I get there, they tell me that my brakes do not need to be replaced and that they are at 3 mm. They took me out onto the floor with a ruler and showed me, with the ruler up to the breaks as proof that my breaks do not need to be replaced. I saw for myself that they were at 3 mm.I then go to A1 Battery on Rosedale and ask them to test my alternator. They have me blast my AC, turn on the radio, and turn on my brights. The voltmeter held steady at 14 volts rather than the 12 volts that the Hyundai service department was saying. I took a picture of the voltmeter reading 14.Finally I go back to Bakersfield Hyundai and speak with the service manager. A good and reasonable man. I explained the situation to him and gave me a full refund on the diagnostic.That being said, I feel like I was mislead. Their service tech that from that morning had looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and then told me information that was not accurate: That does not sit well with me. Not only that but I then spent the whole day chasing problems that didnt exist, when I could have been doing anything else.I have attached photos of the voltmeter at A1 and the paperwork that Bakersfield Hyundai gave me: I folded the paper back so you cant see my personal identification information. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of my brakes at Les Schwab, however I did see them for myself.It is for those reasons that I would not recommend this service department to anyone, and they will not be getting my business again.UPDATE: The owner called me regarding this issue on 6/18/19 and we spoke for quite awhile. He apologized for my experience at his business and asked that instead of posting a negative review or reporting his business to the Better Business Bureau, that I should contact him personally if I had any more issues.Since there is no telling how many other people this has happened to at Bakersfield Hyundai, It is good to see that he is taking this situation seriously and that his staff are being trained.

I loved my experience at Bakersfield Hyundai. Daniel Q. was so personable and knowledgeable when helping me lease my car. He answered all my questions and advocated for me the entire process. He even checked in after and made sure I was loving the car! I can’t express how much I enjoyed buying my car and getting to soak in the atmosphere of the dealership. My issue was promptly resolved, and I was provided details of the issue. Big shout out to Sandro for being super professional! I received excellent door-step service and they also filled up gas as I was not able to do it myself. Issue was indeed with a rodent, and was potentially due to snacks kept inside the vehicle. Dealership provided answers by process of elimination, and that goes a long way for customers like me. I will definitely do business with them again. :)
