Hubbell Air replaced my entire AC/Heating Unit in the heat of this years summer (2021). He payed attention to every detail which ensured the city inspector had no problem signing off on his work. Ray Hubbell is an easy going man with a knowledgeable crew of guys. In my opinion he is honest and straight forward. I’ve done business with Ray at Hubbell Air for years and he is the only guy I call. Ray always fixes my problems right the first time at two properties and shows up when I need him. An employee accidentally broke a part during one repair job and Ray replaced it out of his pocket and notified me after the job. He could’ve easily told me the part needed replacing and I would’ve had no idea. You find someone that honest these days you stick with them.

We got three different quotes before finding out that Hubbell was able to fix the issue for less than half of the price. They are super friendly, they were able to get out within a day, I would absolutely recommend them to anybody for anything to do with air conditioning. Hopefully you get the technician named Matt. This is a family owned local business with many years of experience. I needed my AC unit replaced and they were very knowledgeable and thorough. They went above and beyond just the actual unit, they recommended and Ecobee thermostat that was most compatible with my ac unit and I can control it with my phone from anywhere. They also made sure my home had a carbon monoxide detector and installed new smoke detectors and a new air vent door.They were on time, quick, professional, and the whole job went off without a hitch. Talked to Ray the day before the inspection of our hvac unit and sent him pictures so he knew what he was going to be looking at. He arrived and said it would be a $100 to check everything completely but it would be only $89 if he opened the unit and found it needed to be replaced. Of course he recommended that it be replaced. Then my wife called him to ask a question and he told her that she was costing him more time and money on a $89 job by asking a couple questions! We scheduled another appointment for monday and the inspection is free.

Ray Hubbell answered his phone on a Saturday morning and was out the very same day! He did an in depth diagnosis of our AC system. Actually, he told us what we could spend to get it fixed and what it would cost to get it replaced. He replaced my 2nd story roof mounted heating/cooling system and old thermostat with modern equipment, which has saved me a bunch on utilities. Ray was on time, on budget and available to discuss any questions I had regarding the install. Due to the age of the home, steepness of the roof and some poor choices made by the builder, there were a few wrinkles to the job, and it was nice to know I had a competent professional doing the work for me.

I have now used Hubbel Air twice and been very happy with the service. They are honest and fair. Calling in the pit of summer always brings a bit of anxiety fearing unavailability due to high season demand. Ive emailed in the evening via their website and twice wake up to a call or email. Just making contact quickly and being told a tech will be out within an hour removes that fear of being stuck in a hot house and the experience much more bearable.

Initially we had Hubbell air last summer and we loved the service we had from Ray, We called him out this year since our AC wasnt cooling very quickly. He sent out a young man this time, he was friendly and told us that their might be a leak in the coils and gave us the OPTION to test for any leaks before placing frion or he would just place frion in. We went for the first option, obviously I want it done correctly. He said okay, and Hed have Ray call us about doing that test. We never heard from Ray. But we are also very understanding so when my husband called back to see when we could get that test scheduled since its getting hotter and Im 8 months pregnant, its a bit much to take. Ray told my husband he had no record or note that he was supposed to call him and the guy that did service us that day didnt mention anything. We were written off I guess. But that guy never lies. Im sorry but we know the truth, I was there and I heard everything he was telling my husband why you cant take responsibility for the fact that maybe your worker messed up is ridiculous. That is just poor customer service, and then to try and sell my husband an entire new unit but the guy said the unit was fine, Im sorry Ive been in sales a long time, I know how it works but dont try to swindle me. I get that you are trying to make a sale, and its okay to pitch it but take care of your customers first. We wont be using their services we will find someone else to actually take care of us. If you are thinking about choosing them, I would think twice.

I spoke with Ray on Saturday morning, requesting service to diagnose my ACs issue. Ray estimated he could be at my house in approximately two hours. Ray arrived early, spent a lot of time checking out my AC unit and gave me the unfortunate news that I needed a new system. Ray gave me an estimate for a new system. We decided to wait on purchasing a new unit the spring.

They went way above and beyond the normal expectation of repairmen to get us cool air in August of 2018.The day my wife was admitted to the hospital to give birth to our first child, I went home to drop some out of town family off, only to find the fan blowing nothing but hot air. Mind you this is August 7, so its at least 110 outside and the busiest time of the year for A/C repairmen. Ray lives a couple blocks away and I had used him before, so I knew he was reliable and did good work. I called and he agreed to swing by that night and check things out. Now things are really hectic at the hospital as my wife was going into labor and I just didnt have spare time to coordinate repairs and whatnot, but all Ray needed was a verbal ok from me and an open front door to start working. I didnt believe for a second that he magically had a bunch of spare time to change out my entire A/C system and furnace in the middle of August, but nevertheless, he got it all swapped and had cool air blowing again within 2 1/2 days of my initial call. Thats not even the best part. By the time my wife and son came home from the hospital, he had set up a portable 1 ton a/c in our room, just so my wife and baby boy could be cool.Yes I know this post is long, but when someone goes that far out of their way to take great care of their customers, they deserve to have their praises sung.
