I went here for a month while I was visiting my family over the holidays and I was blown away. I loved the facility, staff, and tanning beds. 10/10 and would definitely go here again if I was in the area.

My sister and I signed up for membership here 3 weeks ago with full intention of making this our main gym due to 24/7 hours and our work schedules. Before even our first month is up you are now only 24/7 on M-Th and close early Fri-Sun??? Plus i received no communication about the hours changing ahead of time. The first day you closed early we had no warnings about closing at 9pm and there was simply a sign on the front door. Since i was told these hours are permanent then its a shame. You just lost 2 paying black card members and 2 potential ones that were about to sign up with us for the 24/7 hours. You belong? More like if you dont work out in the day, you dont.

Great staff! Very friendly. Awesome trainers! Been a member for 7 years and have been training with a trainer for the past two. They are doing a good job at keeping the club clean and sanitized.

I have been a member at planet fitness for many years. I have tried multiple locations and Avon never fails to impress me. It is always clean and has a lot of equipment and space to work out. The workers are always friendly and they work so hard. I have been to a lot of gyms overall and this is by far my favorite! Kevin and Sixto are so nice, helpful and friendly!

I like how well lit this place is. And it is nice to have so much room to work out in.But in comparison to the other planet fitness Ive been to the staff here just seems bothered if you speak ir ask a question. The ladies locker room has seriously needed cleaned each visit Ive been there. Ive visited both in the morning, and in the evening,and not once has the locker room and toilet areas appeared to be freshly(or recently) cleaned.

Quite possibly the biggest Planet Fitness in Northeast Ohio! Ive passed this behemoth several times on I-90. While from outside it looks like it has 2 floors, it only has 1/3 of a second floor when youre inside. Even so, theres plenty of space and machines to go with it! Stop in, if youre not too far away.

Super clean and at noon not to busy. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Upstairs has alot of the same things as down minus free weights.

Visited approximately 25 PF across US and by far this one is the nicest!

Stopped by to workout Friday night and was blindsided that all area locations have gone from 24/7 to 24/5. Funny thing is I actually worked out earlier in the day and saw no signs or mentions of the change coming, a heads up wouldve been nice. Cant find any info online neither. Very disappointed as I recently have started an evening routine and needed weekend evening access so signed up for a black card to use this and other locations just for that while staying loyal to my local 24/5 gym. I am beyond disappointed and believe at least a heads up, perhaps in the inbox on my app, would have been nice. I guess that inbox is just for trying to sell me stuff like dog food from Petco and stuff like that. I will be cancelling my black card (Im sure that wont be a hassle, you probably require a handwritten letter or something right?) and probably my whole membership shortly mainly due to the lack of communication and obviously not caring for your customers

I cant believe what I went through at Avon PF. I had been working out at this location since about 2018. This past year in 2021, I decided I was too overweight and really need to loose a lot of lbs. I decided I was going to use the 30 minute workout room. I was of the understanding that it was ment to be a circuit workout. Well, I did use it and with hard work and diet I have lost 23 lbs since April. Lately the past 2 months or so I had noticed more and more people using the 30 min workout to do sets of exercises instead of a circuit. Well, it was my impression thats not what that room is used for unless for a class. I was told by Kevin, that if someone is getting in the way of my work out by doing these sets, politely ask them to use the machine because I was doing a circuit.Long story short, Don the trainer came into the 30 min circuit with 2 clients and began to show them how to do regular sets of excercise on the machines. He was getting ready to show them something on my next machine, and I asked if I could get my set in.. Im doing the circuit. I have never been met with such disrespect. I was told yes but, he really didnt need to.. He is training these people, and that takes precident over my work out. He also said these things to me about 2 ft from my face making me feel VERY uncomfortable. It seemed to make his two clients uncomfortable as well. When I told him to back up he told me he was getting my membership revoked and he was going to call the police. I went to the desk and asked to speak to the manager. Don continued to threaten me with the police, that he was the manager, and I needed to leave. When I brought my mother to the desk who is the owner of the membership, she was met with the same threats and attitude. This was a mistake as she is an attorney. When I called and told Kevin what happened, he said he was very sorry, not to worry he was going to speak with the manager. When my mother and I came back and spoke to Kevin and asked him if we could speak with the GM, he informed us that we were from that moment barred from that planet fitness... No explanation to the manager, who we have known since he worked in the Elyria, location. Not even an, Are you ok, what can I do, what happened exactly? I was going to tell a lot of people how much I loved planet fitness but, now? I go to 🌍 gym Im Elyria. They have actual trainers who encourage you and know what they are doing. Worst thing the owner of this planet fitness can do?? Keep that person Don as an employee/ Trainer, and keep the GM who I only know as Kyle. What a waste of a gym.. If the actual owner would like to know more. Please let me know and a valid email where I can reach you. The interaction I had is still very upsetting.

Love this location. Equipment is always kept in good shape and cleaned regularly. Good staff.

I am a truck driver so i aquired a black membership to use multiple planet fitness locations around the united states and my area. My home planet fitness is wonderful. The people are nice friendly and courteous to me even though sometimes i walk in looking like ive been run through the ringer lol. Cant say enough good things about this place.

Good clean and helpful place to workout. Plenty of spacing,masking encouraged. I wear mine the WHOLE time from when I get out of the car until I get in. Must bring your own water

The perfect place to get myself into shape during pregnancy. I bring my man along too and hes happy with the weight training variety as well. Surprisingly busy even due to Covid, but I like to assume that most people there, like myself, have had the Covid and are using their 3-6 months of antibodies to workout :)

Changed hours on weekend. Very inflexible if you work on weekends.

This club is nice looking and reasonably clean. The equipment is good shape. I did have an issue with a machine. The machine was not repaired however the sign was removed. I inquired at the front desk and was told they dont know anything about it. I have since had a few questions for the staff. These questions are always met with blind stairs and/or one word answers. Recently I noticed most people in the club is not wearing masks. I inquired and was told while working out a mask is not necessary. I then noticed many people entering and exiting the club not wearing masks. So, I stopped wearing mine. After watching three people enter the club with no mask, I entered. I was stopped and told to enter I have to wear a mask. I was made to go to my car and get my mask to enter. I did that. While working out I noticed more members entering and exiting not wearing masks. I asked the front desk about this and was again met with a blind stair and no response. Today I spoke to the manager. I told him I feel singled out. His response was the mask policy. I asked if I should practice the policy or follow what every one else is doing. He repeated the policy. I told him I am a gay man (which is obvious) thus applying this policy to me and no one else is offensive. He invited me to call the main office followed by; if there is any thing else I can do for you call me.

Really like this gym!! Its big. Two stories. Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. They also offer tanning, which is a nice plus if you like that.

This gym has 2 floors but a poor set up. The ab room feels way too crammed. Treadmills do not have interval settings like the ones at other PF’s I have been to do. And this two floor gym still only has 5 smith machines and very limited free weights.

I was told to tone up my leg muscles to prepare for a total knee replacement, so I joined this gym. (First time ever) After four weeks of directed exercises I found that just strengthening the muscle group in question ended the knee pain I had been experiencing. I have now pushed out my surgery to next year and maybe beyond.

It was a real nice place with real nice people. Im looking forward to visiting regularly

Entirely too packed. Nothing was open. Says 209 people, yet there wasnt room for how many were already there.

I enjoyed my workout but the only downfall is theres only one shower working and I reckon thats on purpose because of Coronavirus but they all should be working just saying

Best Planet Fitness I have been to! Always so clean and so many machines that no matter what you’re guaranteed a spot. I am also so happy theyre requiring masks unless actively exercising because that makes me feel more confident that I am safe healthwise. Thank you for being open 24 hours for my crazy work schedule!

I purchased my membership online while I was out of town. Two weeks later I showed up for my first visit and to get my key card. I informed the employee that this was my first time there and I needed my key card and I did everything online. Took my picture gave me my key card and walked away. No explanation on any of the equipment, no explanation on the classes, literally nothing. Okay fine Ill figure it out on my own. Went to one of the bikes and quickly realize that they werent the spin bikes that Im used to. It was a giant power button I hit it nothing happened ( the TV didnt even shut off), So confused I went back to the desk. A completely separate employee was at the desk explain the situation. He told me what to do but seems slightly annoyed that I even had to ask. I still have no idea about anything in this gym.

It fits the bill for a Planet Fitness. Much nicer than others Ive been to. If youre expecting free weights heavier than 70lbs or barbells etc, then find another place. Like I mentioned this is a Planet Fitness, not a Golds Gym. It does get busy, but once you visit a couple times you will have a good idea of when to go! All in all, exactly what anyone needs for a gym unless you are looking for higher performance. Everyone can take advantage of what they have to offer if youre smart enough to be resourceful. Also be courteous to everyone. Often its not the big strong guys who do the judging. Keep that in mind.

Best planet fitness Ive been too so far. Avon Ohio. They have a huge facility. With great service. Awesome amenities. The only planet fitness with a soma pod for meditation. Such a great relaxing experience for after a good work out.

Decent location some of the staff are extremely chill people and are friendly and I seriously appreciate that they are cool. Only thing I have an issue with is people not cleaning the equipment like they should after use and or dressing in extremely tight fitting gym wear or see through gym pants its gross and they should inforce the dress code its not judging anyone just be appropriate.

Clean and friendly staff. Everyone is respecting space and wiping down equipment for anyone concerned. I go to the one in Avon Ohio.

Best gym ever!

The avon ohio planet fitness is one of the most impecable, cleaniest, and sanitized locations I have ever been to and I have been to many. With the current pandemic surronding our community sanititary is one of my top concerns where many people are; and I must say this planet fitness location has it down, it is just so nice and clean it puts my concerns to rest and I feel comfortable and safe using the work out machines knowing they are being properly cleaned and sanitized. Many public places have not so nice restrooms, not avon planet fitness its also very clean. I come in usually right when the gym opens but I do come in sometimes on late evenings and the womans restroom/lockroom along with the rest of the building is sparkling. The staff there matches the appearence they are all so helpful and kind. Kudos to you avon planet fitness lets keep up the amazing work and keeping the community safe!

When you cancel your membership at the Avon Ohio location, they will continue to fraudulently charge you. BEWARE- In response to the owner: I have spoke with the manager and got the charges reversed. However, I will still leave this review as this was very sneaky and everyone should be aware of your fraudulent business practices.

This is one of my favorite locations. The showers are great because they have a place to change as well.

Wasnt planning on going back to planet fitness after quarantine. Havent been in and I dont plan on going in. I was just told by an associate that they probably wont refund me even when I havent been using it. Hopefully they will do right and give me my money back. I would have came back after I had my baby but now I just hope they dont charge me for something i dont even want anymore.

Best PF youve been to, I can pretty much guarantee that. Always clean, 24/7. Be aware they are a cashless location, and to sign up you need a checking account and debit/credit card.

Edit: One year later. Not clean...several areas are caked with dust and dirt. Look on the treadmill monitors on the second floor...nasty. Windows dirty. Locker room dirty. Cleaning is key in a gym.No towels anymore for black members. Half the time the spray bottles are empty. Ive mentioned these things to staff and nothing is done. The staff is super nice but I think they are stretched thin.Nice gym, everything new of course. Staff is friendly.My biggest thing is cleanliness. The new lockers have dirt in them, need wiped out, windows and frames are dirty, floors and steps need swept and mopped. While it doesnt look horrible, for being new, these things should be clean. If you dont keep up with it, it wont be a clean gym to go to. We will see if things improve with this review.

I will update this review as I can. However, this was my first visit to this particular location. I enjoyed the bi-level style, which was confusing at first. But a quick walk upstairs gives a good layout of the entire gym. There are plenty of cardio machines and weight machines. The stretching area is a bit too busy with stuff but at least it isnt crowded with people. Overall its a clean and friendly environment.

They only take direct link to your bank account for payment (no Cash or credit), so bring a check.Staff is adequate, but seem to do minimum job.While economical, the weights are crowded. You’ll always need to wait for machines from huge dudes. There is plenty of cardio, however (tread mills, elliptical, etc)I joined for a couple weeks, but was never comfortable. They don’t give tours when you join, so maybe I didn’t give it a fair chance to acclimate on my own. I’d recommend paying a little more and going to an environment that is more comfortable. (More normal people). Overall, a disappointment. Even though PF writes “judgement free” on the wall, and do their best to promote a welcome environment, you won’t feel that way.

When I purchased my package online It said upon my first visit I would recieve my key tag and a tour of the facility, but as I walked into the facility they gave me my key tag and that was it no explanation about where everything was to the point I had to ask them how to sign up for tanning and where the locker rooms were! For this to be a brand new facility that’s bigger than most of all the planet Fitness’s it definitely isn’t better in terms of customer service and doing what they say they will do. Funny how they don’t do what they say and pay you no mind what so ever but the moment I brought my 13 year old daughter in with me I was stopped immediately to be interrogated and told that I was lying about her age and that she didn’t look 13. So after driving around the parking lot for 30 minutes just to get a spot I had to turn right back around and leave because they didn’t believe me!

Black card is totally worth it. Love all the ammenities on top of all the up to date cardio and strength training machines. Affordable and a friendly and easy going environment.

Crowded, no free weights only smith machines and dumbbells. Lots of purple and yellow. My wife likes it so its the one thing we do together.

Big, so its never a problem getting some work in.

This is the nicest Planet fitness Ive seen and its also very clean with lots of space on two levels, they also have more equipment than other locations and much more room.

The new Planet Fitness in Avon is a nice place to work out. I really like the 30 minute Express workout, it gets you warmed up for the rest of your time there.

This place has been sooooooooo obnoxiously busy since the new year :(Hydro massage chairs are awesome.

They get this rating for the size of the facility. That is the only positive about this place. The staff is friendly enough. But theyve oversold and overbooked this facility so bad that you can never get to any of the machines and it is not worth your time or effort to try to show up.

Planet fitness is a great place for a 13 year old like me and parents

Im only giving the place 3 stars because the equipment is new. I know this is their opening week but many of the employees are rude and wont make eye contact with the customer. Everytime I go up to the desk they refuse to acknowledge me. 🙄

I have been a member of Planet Fitness (PF) Avon for a few months and have always had a pleasant experience. The facility is open 24 hours offering complete flexibility (an no room for excuses) and is the cleanest gym I have ever been a member of! There are an abundance of cardio machines, strength building options and the staff are very friendly... in fact, the other patrons are too! I appreciate the opportunity to watch some news while I workout and have recently tried the hydro massage chairs... heaven! All of these reasons certainly provide ample support for a 5 star rating, but this week I had an experience which calls for a few more stars! While using a stair stepper I knocked my brand new AirPods onto the revolving stairs! They quickly disappeared inside the machine with no apparent way to retrieve them! I was bummed and did not think I would be able to get them back. Enter Kobe Whalen, Assistant manager of Avon PF. When I met him a few days after losing my AirPods he had his backpack on and appeared to be on his way out, but hearing about my Airpods, took off his backpack and promptly and confidently said I got this! He was enthusiastic (really) about helping me out!! This took a few minutes as he had to remove several stubborn screws to remove a panel which allowed him to reach in and grab my still packaged, perfectly OK AirPods!! The level of care, concern and kindness Cody offered me is quite uncommon (anywhere) and was offered even when he was on his way out having already worked his entire shift!! Thank you Kobe, sincerely!! You are the best and my new favorite reason to come workout!! And well done Planet Fitness... If Kobe Whalen is representative of the level of customer service your company strives to deliver, congratulations on achieving the very best!!! (PS: Better hang on to Kobe!!)
