The organization is amazing!! Unfortunately, the manager at one of the locations (John) lets a refrigerator issue carry on over months causing a young mother to constantly throw away groceries she just put in her refrigerator. A quick fix is whats been the method and has caused so much food loss. Being a mother with an infant isnt easy and having the property manager sweep it under the rug is so sad. Hopefully this review will get to the right person who can help get this problem resolved.

I was here at 17 years old. A very helpful place for youth getting ready to age out of the system and begin to live on there own. A much needed and helpful program.

Whatever lady works at the front desk to answer the phone is probably the worst person you can talk to if you need help. She doesnt seem to know anything about lifeworks and will refuse to transfer you to someone who can. Definitely do something about this, countless of times Ive had the same issue.

I was forced to come here during school hours on my freshman year of high school. I failed my class as a result.

They go by age...which is discriminatory at best.. They said they could only help me with counseling services.

I dont understand the system I explained everything to my daughters therapist thats happening and from where it has been coming from, then she (anita) goes to the other Non-custodial parent and told them everything I just said knowing I just said she Is a narcissistic parent.

This is the most unprofessional waste of time I’ve ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Every time you speak with anyone at life works the television or radio is blasting in the background. Completely unprofessional and the exact opposite of what I had hoped for in a therapist.

They don’t work with you. They are highly unprofessional. You ask for their help and they turn you down. I would recommend another agency . I’ve dealt with this agency for a couple years and they are not very understanding. I had a major death in my family and also had some circumstances during COVID-19 and basically wouldn’t help me. All im saying is a sincere agency would be there to help its people in any given situation especially during this national pandemic we’re in. Its very disheartening

Literally no help at all. I have called several times for intake and the only answer I get is that they are busy. Absolutely absurd that this place is used as a resource for services, but it is this complicated to even get the intake process started. I called back within minutes of receiving an email from intake, Dwan, and was told intake was busy and couldnt take my call. I couldnt even get a general question answered by the receptionist, because the intake dept....which is always busy, had to answer the question.

I believe that their website is a peace of crap, but the services they provide are enough to barely make a living and if you are in need of help the system seems to take its sweet time to help you, however, they will try their best, since the organization is non-profit, do not expect average-sped customer care, but expect the fastest result these types of organizations can do in which can be frustrating due to the non-profit organizations dire need of sufficient public funding in order to maintain their efficiency. After all your in Austin, Texas, a place nearly barely affordable to anyone who is below average and nearly at the very sources of no income, to be in no way able to provide even at least a 10-13$ donation. Also the average who can barely survive due to the brutality of a Texans harsh expensive economy, high rents, bills, etc. to be the main reason that even they may be reluctant to spear at least $20 to the organization to run; in which is because imagine how worried one who has a house is to loose it, and many more outrageous economic laws and regulations within Austin, Texas is in favor to abolish the average class and lesser classes ability to live so that the less fortunate and the Average will disappear or be forced to do so. This is the goal of Texas; Create a strictly rich-bound, and Above average-bound economic state to make the state grow to become less required to provide as much services in favor to sustain those in need. Life works is trying to help you pretty much, survive as you can, in order to eventually make you progress to be self-sufficient, and be able to get safe placement if your in crisis. This is why the state makes it barely able to provide all things.

First came into this place(ged program) when i was just a Teen, at 17yrs old..I would come & go of course..until i finally got into my 20s, i thought to myself, only 4 days out of the week AND only 4 hours, i HAVE to finish. And still everytime i would come back they were always more than welcoming..But still even if u can’t make it even for those 4days, they are very understanding about your at home problems and try to work with you, they really do want you to succeed.. it took me a while, but I DID IT! And i couldn’t be more thankful for all the support that i got from LifeWorks from every staff member..to the ones i known since I’ve gone there, and to the ones there now..I am now 21 going on 22 in college, and in just a few more months I’ll be where i never thought i would see myself being (: they’re pretty amazing you guys.. So once again, I just want to say thank you Lifeworks for never giving up on me! You guys will forever have a good word out here from me.

Literally a scam taking the money of homeless youth and not supplying long term options. (Rude, judgemental, not very friendly towards diversity.)
