This company is a fraud and is not professional based on my interactions. I encourage anyone seeking to have a reputable company to seek elsewhere. This company produced fraudulent paperwork, produced fraudulent claims, and is in the process of being sued for one of many reasons but most importantly for failure to have knowledge of Texas Property Code. This company is bias towards people of color and I would highly encourage you to seek out a company that is NOT Austin Property Team.

Do not rent from this company. They are scam artist. They manipulated me in to paying $3700 of rent for a middle of the month move in. I never saw anyone in person, never got a tour of the place and still I had no choice put as if I had a tour of the place, then proceed with payments if I was to fulfill my lease. I get payed monthly, they have my income on paper and still placed me in a financial burden before I could ever step a foot in the door after leaving a double deposit. They would not pro-rated my June14th move in just to get money for a place I had pretty much payed the rent twice with the double deposit

I moved down here from Cincinnati to Georgetown Texas for a job. I was unable to come down to see the property myself so I had a realtor coming view the property and she sent me back pictures. When I moved into the property it was nice and clean and very well kept. Whenever I had a need for maintenance they were on time and very polite. Sad to say I had a new job south of Boston and I had to move. I would have stayed with the same company but they did not have a site for me to move into in the location I needed. I would have stayed if I did not have to move because they were polite and courteous and very responsive when I needed help.

I lived in property managed by APT for a little over 2 years and I have to say it was the best rental experience Ive had in my many years of renting. The staff was always kind, responsive, and although I only had a few maintenance requests they were handled very quickly. We had issues with AC and a leak when we first moved in and they sent people out right away. In other places where Ive had that we had to find other places to stay for a week or longer until it was fixed and the issues were always ongoing. I also had pets and I felt they were quite reasonable with handling pets in a rental property. Thanks APT!

I had an insane experience during the Covid summer of 2020. I will spare many of the details, but as it pertains to Austin Property Team, they did everything that they were supposed to do, and helped me to resolve a terrible situation without unnecessary stress. I am grateful to their responsiveness and understanding through the whole experience.

Dont bother with them. Although we offered more money and proved ourselves worthy to be good tenants, we were rejected because of incredibly light dog damage to a previous place. If you have a dog, just forget about this place and anything they offer.

APT has not let me down. They found a great tenant and have done a fantastic job managing my property. They maintain properties well to provide good living environments for the tenants. They screen tenants thoroughly to ensure the safety of all tenants. Highly recommend.

This company is deceiving, TERRIBLE with communication, doesn’t follow through with maintenance request. You will honestly have to send them email after email to get any kind of reply from them and still not have things resolved or even addressed. This management team is a joke. Trust your property with the decency, knowledge and respect of the professionals and walk from these guys.

Austin Property Team is an absolute disaster - DO NOT rent through them. I dont know how past reviews have been positive as someone who has never had a good experience with them in the entire year that I have lived in a property handled by them.I have experienced issue after issue in the property, and when anyone FINALLY gets to your property to fix an issue that youve submitted a maintenance request for, it is either handled with a temporary fix or not done well. The maintenance department is in shambles and will not be there to help within three days - as they say they will.In the year that I have lived in a property of theirs, I have never had a reliable contact in their office that will speak with me, respond to emails, discuss maintenance requests, or simply be there for issues with the house; however, when its something such as resigning your lease (something they need out of you, as opposed to vice versa), they are all of a sudden responding to emails? There are problems with both the property team and the maintenance team that make the property of theirs that Im currently living in unlivable.The issues that we have experienced with Austin Property Team started upon moving in and have continued until today. Our back door could be kicked in by an intruder while dead bolted due to the need for the back door to be replaced. We have been complaining about this issue for nine months and only this week has someone from the property team come out to the property to give it a look. The maintenance man has come out twice about it, and each time, puts a new bathroom-style sliding lock on the door. We are still having issues with the door, have spoken with two property managers (finally) regarding the issue, and theyve now told us that they will not replace the door and that if the tenants (three young women) feel unsafe, we should purchase and install our own security system - this is UNBELIEVABLE.In addition, our washing machine broke less than three months after moving in due to wear and tear - obviously an issue resulting from previous tenants and not something that occurred during our three months of being there - and the property team made us pay $200 to have it fixed.I could go on and on with stories of our terrible experience with Austin Property Team. I have chosen to move out, while my roommates have decided to renew the lease for one more year (solely due to location and ease of staying in the same place after only one year). I am hopeful that Austin Property Team will improve their efforts to ensure that the property is safe and livable. It is my hope that my roommates will be able to change this review after the upcoming year; however, based on the past year, I recommend Austin Property Team to NO ONE.

I wouldnt trust the management of my property to anyone other than APT. They are efficient and timely with reports, repairs, etc. Simply the best.

I just had the worst experience with this company as I tried to rent a property (house) they manage.All what I can say: RACIST ALERT.Now, looking up online, I found other reviews from previous customers that highlighted racial discrimination act by this company, I’m not surprised cause I just encountered it myself.If you are a landlord and care about your property, if you are renter, last thing you wanna do is business with them.

Our experience was seemingly optimistic at the very beginning, even though the realtor never showed up to our meeting to show us the first house. They instructed me on how to get into the home myself so we wouldn’t have to come back at another time. After looking around the house, we decided we would like to apply, but we were concerned about the size of our dogs. We called the realtor and were immediately assured that the dogs would be approved, before asking about size and breed, and that wouldn’t be a concern.Our application took *2 WEEKS* to complete (when we were already on a time crunch). We had to ask for updates every 1-2 days in hopes to clarify why things were taking so long. FINALLY about a week later they told us they were still waiting for rental verifications, when we could have rectified that situation immediately. After that had been taken care of we got an email stating that they expected an approval letter later that evening. After 4 more days we were told that we got denied because of our dogs. I fully believe that we were give false reassurance in the beginning and just told to apply regardless so they could take our $180 in application fees and run with it. After 2 weeks of being told approval will be happening day after day, we got denied, wasting our precious time and money.After this happened, the same realtor and an APT manager told us to go on their site to see if there were any housing options that fit our criteria. Since our application was already approved in their system, they could expedite our approval for any properties under their management. Begrudgingly, we did in hopes that was true. After finding a house *ON THEIR SITE* that we were interested in, they told us it wasnt a property of theirs. They then sent us a very small list of properties that didnt fit any of our needs, but they wouldnt have known that because they had never even asked what we were looking for in the first place.Regardless, the realtor (from the previous house that we applied to) said she could help us with setting up an appointment at the house we found on their website. We set up an appointment. The way she had worded the text confirming the meeting sounded like I would be meeting up with a different realtor. I asked for the other realtors information to which I received a stream of texts that felt belittling and left me feeling like I was just scolded like a child. Telling me “you two don’t talk. WE talk”, “how are you not understanding this” and “this is how we make our money”, before I even had time to even explain myself in the misunderstanding. Instead of reacting, since I thought this person could really help us out, since now we are on an even smaller timeline due to the fruitless 2 week wait they put us through, I kept the appointment and chose to continue.30 minutes before the appointment, as Im heading out, the realtor cancels. This was insanely frustrating as we’ve had to request time off for these meetings and the realtor has failed to show up to two scheduled meetings. After regathering ourselves, asking for more time at our jobs, the realtor agrees to meeting an hour later. But, under the idea that they might have to let us in and leave because they have important things to take care of. Luckily the realtor DID make it to the appointment but promptly left and instructed me on how to stow the key when we were finished with the tour.Only afterwards did I get an apology text from the realtor and that they would like to continue to help us with finding a place. I kindly told her we had scheduled other viewings, and that we wouldn’t need her services anymore. I never got a response back.We applied for a house with Keyrenter Property, got approved in a day and a half, and already have a deposit down.If I could review at 0 stars I would. Extremely unprofessional.
