I don’t even know how to express to amount of disappointment I have. I paid a ridiculous amount of money to have 3 bouquets of balloons to decorate the office for my assistant’s birthday. I dropped them off at 5pm and came in at 7:30am the next morning and all but 5 balloons would not float anymore. I understand they don’t last a long time but after paying $1.50 just to inflate each single balloon I expected them to last at least 24 hours but they didn’t last 12. This is not right. Don’t bother wasting your money.

If I could give 0 stars ⭐️ I would !! Staff is not friendly at all toward children. Took my 5year old daughter to pick out a Halloween costume. Had one female employee follow my child and keep telling her not to touch stuff and huffing and puffing as she was taking things out of her hands. When I told her to stop being rude she just walked away and said I’m not !? Will not be returning to this location!!

They have gone down as far as customer service and quality goes. They charge too much for their balloons to half fill them. When I called to resolve the issue. I was met with a snooty rude attitude. Not only did he refuse to give me a refund but he also had a bad attitude.

I interacted with unfriendly cashiers-especially Keisha & Xavier (Team Lead) when attempting to deal with what should have been a quick resolution to a minor issue over a defective, inferior product. After speaking to the Assistant Store Manager, Robin, he initially stated he would help resolve the issue but then retracted his statement due to the fact that another store gave me gold foil balloons, which the receipt showed, vs the silver foil ballon I had in hand.Poor customer service skills, poor resolution handing, even after my phone call to Nancy, Store Manager, rather than just acknowledging the matter and the lack of efficient resolution, she continued to “pass the buck” by blaming another party city location rather than just taking accountability for the company’s mistake as a whole. She gave excuse after excuse when all I needed was acknowledgment, empathy and accountability. The entire experience left me vowing to never shop at party city, and to advise friends and family to steer city from the company, for the fear that god forbid something should go wrong and we’d likely be left with zero positive results for resolution.

The one girl who checked us out was so miserable I wanted to hug her and tell her if u dont like ur job then just leave.. Thats the worst experience I have ever had at a party city..

Sadly disappointed. About 4 years ago, they were great. We used them for every party we had for our 3 kids. We noticed a diminish in quality, but I chalked it up to untrained employees. Today I got balloons for my daughters party tomorrow. I asked for high float, as I know the little balloons dont hold up well. There is no excuse for the $16 big balloon I got. It wasnt even fully inflated when I got it home and I live less than 2 miles from the store. Its supposed to be a unicorn, but its horn wont stand up and its legs are all limp. Im trying to hold out hope for tomorrow that it will at least stay afloat and decently inflated for our noon party.

Extemely slow customer service and poor communication. For starters customers should not have to wait 7 minutes before being acknowledged and helped. Acknowledging the customer and advising them that you will help them momentarily is best practice. Especially when they will have to wait another 10-15 minutes to have balloons aired. There should be a sign near the balloon section to inform customers that they need to go to the checkout line first and pay for the balloons, instead of the traditional manner of taking items to the front and paying for. Cashiers should refrain from rolling eyes and yelling Come on.I ended up waiting about 20 minutes for balloons. I am not sure how that is acceptable, but I am not surprised. This party city appears to have a high turn over rate which reflects negatively on leadership and the company overall. Too bad there arent other providers that carry the same or similar products. I would gladly spend my money elsewhere.

This store needs to revisit customer service and business practices in general. I dealt with two assistant managers (a woman with blue hair and a man with a beard and glasses.) Note: this is a franchised store & NOT a corporate store. They sent me to the corporate Round Rock store for assistance (15 minutes away), and the Round Rock store told me that they often send customers there and they can not help since it is a franchised store. I went back. They repeatedly insisted that it is “impossible” to look up transactions when I attempted to return broken merchandise, and that their store isn’t “set up to issue store credit”. BS. I was unable to locate a receipt. I understand they claim the receipt is part of a policy, however it is one they use to swindle customers when they sell items they cannot stand behind. When pressed they WERE able to look up the transaction (because duh, everyone can in 2021.) They lied, they were not remotely helpful from the moment I walked through the door, they made every attempt to avoid a return (because greedy franchise), they tried to pass the problem onto another store (because lazy). I left the broken items when the bearded assistant manager tried to explain what a disco ball was to me. I did not receive a refund (maybe i should pursue a gas refund too for the travel?). They do not deserve management titles and will certainly not receive anymore of my business. I’d shop elsewhere if I were you. Do better Party City.

Arrived some time after my order was supposed to be ready that day, the balloons werent even inflated yet, and had to wait 10 minutes at least until someone would inflate them...meanwhile the cashier checking out 4+ customers...also, I had called to let the store know I arrived (was supposed to be curbside pickup) but I got a recording stating to go inside, and that no orders were to be made on phone. Thats funny, because as I was waiting for my balloons to finally be filled, a cashier was taking an order over the phone! What customer service... I guess a customer in the store is not as important as that phone call.. I wouldnt have been that big a deal but I had cupcakes in a hot car and wasnt expecting to be waiting for an online order that I gave plenty of time after my designated pickup time

Last weekend my daughter went to Party City in the Tech Ridge shopping center in Austin Texas to get a Halloween costume. She shopped around for an hour and stood in line for 15 minutes to purchase her costume. She had an online 20% off coupon that would not completely load (due to poor connection). After explaining her issue to the person that identified herself as the manager; ask to see her phone. The manger then tells her “I can’t do anything because the barcode isn’t loading” my daughter ask if there was anything she could do and the manger responded “I can’t magically give you a 20% off coupon!” At this point other customers are starting to stare. My daughter tells her “this is poor customer service” the manger says nothing and walks away while my daughter is talking “what is your name?” My daughter ask and she replied “~~~” still walking away and never tuning around. My daughter walked out leaving all her items on the counter and cried in her car. She felt frustrated, humiliated, and disrespected. She lost time and still didn’t have a costume.I feel this was far beyond a 20% coupon. This is a poor example of customer service, leadership to her employees if she was indeed the manger and improper training. If if you have people on your front lines to represent your company and or brand, I believe it would be in the best interest of everyone to make sure that they understand how to handle difficult situations in a respectful and professional manner.In a perfect world I would like a formal apology to my daughter but at very least I will hopefully make a difference for someone reading this. I hope this will improve training in this company or others. I believe no one should have to experience what my daughter did in Party City that afternoon.

Impressively bad. I went for balloons for my daughter’s birthday. Listed on the website at $16.99 including helium. In store: $21.99. They tried telling me it was online only pricing (web site didn’t say that) and that it didn’t include helium (it specifically did). They went out of their way to tell me they weren’t a “corporate” Party City and they didn’t have to follow corporate prices. Never mind the fact that the website lists them as a site to get that item at that price. That’s not even price matching...that’s price honoring. Also, Nancy the manager appears to have had a lot of people ask about this before me, judging by her attitude.To sum up, only go here if you like surprise price switching and being treated with disdain.

Do not purchase a helium tank from here, not only it is defective (no helium) just air, the so called Manager (Nancy) is completely unprofessional and her knowledge had me questioning real life. My girlfriend and I went in and on the way in I saw a hand written sign saying all bags will be searched. I thought to my self, that sounds illegal. Did our shopping and paid for my things we leave. The clerk or security guard, not really sure, insisted that he search my girlfriends purse i told him it was illegal and he insisted that we had to submit to the search. I gave in and told he could even though it was illegal and the only reason it was legal is because I told him fine. I dont like being treated as a criminal and of course there was nothing in her purse but its our liberties thats at stake this is not right.

Worst experience with Nancy the general manager. Went to get Halloween costume and found about 10 that were marked down clearly on clearance. At the register, it rang up for full price and the manager took the costume, and removed the clearance price tag, claiming that it was no longer on clearance. We pointed out the remaining 9 costumes that were still marked half off and the manager spent about 30 minutes on her phone trying to determine if she could honor the price. She was so rude that the security officer walked us out of the store to apologize for her behavior. I completely understand why this company is going out of business and will never shop there again.

Walked in to shop for our baby shower, my pregnant wife needed to use the restroom, she asked and was told to make a purchase before she can use the restroom. The lady (maybe the manager) was extremely rude. There was no signage displaying this rule she made up. Its ridiculous to have somebody buy a 25 cent candy to use the restroom, especially somebody that is clearly pregnant. I hope corporate sees this review.

Good place to get decorations for many types of celebrations. Great selection and decent prices. Employees are helpful and curtious. Bags will cost you a quarter. Store organization is acceptable. As long as you know what kind of party youre shopping for, you will usually find it.

I bought balloons for my daughters birthday and when I walked out the front door, there is a brick wall straight ahead. A huge gust of wind came and blew my balloon into the wall. I walked in and let the cashier know what happened. She said to go to talk their Team Lead Rob and hell take care of it. When I told him what happened and asked if he could replace it, he said no. I then asked if he could at least discount the 2nd one since I had literally just walked out the door with it and he then he again said no. He was not empathetic at all. I ended up spending $28.00 on 1 single balloon. Im completely disappointed. What happened to customer satisfaction?

If I could give it 0, I would. Outrageously overpriced for one. Two, I bought a number 1 balloon last week, went in today to have it filled for our sons party and they charged me $12.99+tax to FILL IT UP W HELIUM. The rep said yea we charge the same thing we would for the actual balloon if you bought it here. I told her I bought it there last week. Unfortunately I didnt have time to go anywhere else as the party started 20 mins later (I ran out of helium at my house). Anyway it is just a complete ripoff. Ridiculous.

Well the first time I went into the store, the store appears really nice but the service does not compare. The cashier seemed annoyed by my presence. Then I wanted to purchase 21 stickers and 2 big balloons. Everything came up to just over 25.00 and this was after they suggested that I go to dollar tree to use the restroom, so I gladly spent 50.00 at dollar tree. These people must only cater to a certain customer because upon my second visit, I had the unfortunate pleasure of observing another customer who came in and she was treated poorly as well. I have noticed that most of the businesses in Austin treat their customers of color, like we are second class citizens. Hey I am glad to be American because I usually do business with those that provide me with unbiased world class customer service because I deserve that!

Worst Customer Service Ever. If i could give it 0 Stars i would. They wanted me to pay for another balloon because one of the balloons popped. I spoke with this store manager and explained that on my way to my photoshoot it popped. And it was not hot in my car because i had the AC on the whole time. She said i pulled on it. These ballons where in my car the whole time if i would have pulled on them they both would have popped. Funny how only one of then did. I was trying to take my pictures and i didnt even make it to my photoshoot. Worst Employee service ever in general. I was not even wanting a refund. Arrived and instantly found the one product I needed to buy, but it took about 20 minutes to make it through the line, despite the fact that the two couples in line before me were both already in the process of checking out when I arrived. I understand that the employees couldnt necessarily have rushed them, but it was ridiculous waiting in line for that long while I saw 3 other Party City employees walking back and forth through the aisles, yet no one thought to just open another register, let me buy my things, and go in peace. When I finally did get to the only open register (since the employee at the second register ran off after he finished ringing up one of the couples INSTEAD of letting me FINALLY buy my set of cups), not a single one of the three employees that I interacted with at the counter was apologetic or even seemed to notice or care that they were all moving at the speed of really tiny baby turtles--and by that I dont even mean in the cute way, I mean frustratingly slow. I will never go back to this Party City again.

Store is extremely messy inside and on top of that whoever the manager is, is extremely rude and a total jerk. I called ahead of time and asked if I could bring an emotional support dog inside which is very teeny tiny and the manager said yes. When I arrived to the store I asked an associate AGAIN to make sure, they said yes. Once inside the manager comes up to me and tells me only service dogs are allowed and I said I called ahead of time and spoke to him earlier and he himself said it was fine regardless if she was just a regular dog, emotional support animal, or service animal as long as I held her. He said that was too bad and I had to leave. I was already in the check out line and next in line with only two items it would have taken less than 2 minutes to get out but he didnt let me check out and rudely just kept saying leave. Meanwhile some woman is inside the store going up to customers and trying to sell items from other stores, yet she didnt get kicked out. Very rude, I think a new manager is needed.

After reading the reviews on Google I was a little hesitant to visit their store, but I also didnt want to drive all the way to round rock to go to that party city. When I walked in the door I was greeted by an employee who as me if he could help me find anything. The store was a little crowed, but the whole time I was there the customer service was great. I found everything I was looking for with the help of the employee. The only problem I faced while checking out was due to the fact I left my shopping bags in the trunk of my car.

Largest party store in austin. They have a section for pretty much every type if party you can think of.They usually ship in extra stuff usually a month ahead of time for special holidays. They have a huge variety of Halloween costumes.The staff is usually helpful. The prices on most items are usualy on the cheaper side.My only 2 complaints would be: 1) they dont have an area to try on costumes in private, and some parts of the costumes you cant try on until after you have bought it. Ive been disapointed a few times. 2) the quality of some outfits are sometimes bad, but what do you expect for for price.Otherwise, every time ive been ive found what i wanted to find or something similar. If you want to msje a safe bet, id goto party city first.

The Party City at this location near Tech Ridge does not have store pick-up. 🤔 Also on the website and in the weekly ad they were unaware that a particular item was on sale. The manager blamed corporate for not informing them. But they should know rhe weekly ad, does not make sense to me. After speaking to the manager twice and two other associates, he finally made the adjustment.

Wish I could give it -10 as a rating. Got balloons inflated from here night before party I was planning for my boyfriend & paid extra for their hi-float. 10 balloons cost me $22 & they were deflated completely the very next morning. Regular helium lasts longer than that. Called and explained they said no problem theyd re-inflate them so I drove all the way back and got pure attitude and disrespect from both assistant managers that were there. They wanted to deflate and throw out all 10 if my balloons and give me one (priced at $9.99) in return. I said absolutely not. They also said to me in front of other customers how inconvenient it was for them to have to re-inflate my balloons... What was inconvenient was me having to be there for an hour and drive back to argue with idiots when I was supposed to be putting a surprise party together. I am now three days later still fighting for a refund because that evening the balloons were flat again and I was also told by the assistant manager that the hi-float was false advertisement (they claim it makes your balloons last 10-14 days). They also admitted when I went back the next morning that only four of the ten had the hi-float and then they told me two couldnt be re-inflated yet didnt refund me for those two and when I walked in today, one of MY balloons is floating high in their balloon center. Excuse me? You shorted me and didnt refund me and lied to me?? NEVER GOING BACK EVER!
