This health insurance company pays providers 40% of what everybody else pays for the same service, requires pre-authorization when nobody else does, doesnt pay claims when they paid for the same person for the same plan before and after that particular claim until 6 months later after an appeals process, denies co-workers on the same plan when one is covered and the other isnt. Eligibility and benefits reads benefits completely different from the authorization Department, therefore discouraging patients from using the service when they pay for it after it is billed. Ive also got 100% medical records audits rate from Humana. Most other companies the rate is 1 in 20 patients or less. they also claim to not get the records even though you submit it on their secure portal and can document the reference number.When you ask for a fee schedule increase with due diligence for statistics of Benchmark payers, they take a month and then give you a generic response that they are not going to raise rates paid to providers, in spite of inflation and paying less than half what we get for the same service with other payers and even Medicare pays 2.5 times what Humana pays. After going to school for 9 years, I would like to make more than a waitress per hour seeing Humana patients after business expenses and self-employment fees.This company is a mess or management is full of crooks. The stock market continues to go up for this company though. The jeweled entryway in Louisville Kentucky... Apparently they take good care of their management but not their patients or providers. Just saying as a provider on a sham account. Jo
