I’ve been seeing Susie Seay for 3 years now and I have had nothing but great experiences with her! She has always been incredibly insightful and has helped me tremendously in my treatment journey. I’m seeing that other people have experienced scheduling issues but in the 3 years I have worked with her, she has always been punctual and respectful of my time. She is also very responsive and willing to help out when needed. I recommend this place to all my friends looking for psychiatric support in Austin!

The doctors at this practice are wonderful! Listened to my concerns, collaborated with me to find a medication that was right for my needs, and prepared me for any side effects.I ended up going to another doctor because of their irresponsible billing. I often had to remind them to process my insurance although it was on file. I was overcharged several times in addition to strange ghost charges. I received a charge of $150 in between my appointments that I had to call to get reversed. It has been over a year since I have been to this practice and I received a $70 charge to my card this week although I requested they remove my credit card information from my system last year. I have yet to hear back from them regarding reversing this charge.Take your business elsewhere.

In the past I had trouble clearly opening up and expressing my needs in psychiatry which had made seeking treatment challenging. I was recommended by a friend and I am glad I took her advice. I have been a patient for almost two years now, and I have always had good experiences. I was able to get the proper treatment after an in depth assessment, and Jessica has continued to make me feel comfortable and listened to!

Kathie is remarkable. Tells you what you need to hear, not always what you want to hear. Psychiatrists and therapists sometimes go over on time, not maliciously but because they are likely wrapping up their previous conversation, not just shooing them out the door to get to their next appointment. I too had a meeting where I was waiting for 30-45 min after my start time, but she called and apologized and immediately rescheduled. Things happen, but the quality of service is top notch. Highly recommend Kathie to anyone who needs help or seeking advice.

Lori Fox is amazing - I love her. the office is terrible - they have the answering machine on regularly during business hours. I drive a hour to get to their office, I have been in a car accident on my way to the office, missed my appointment, and was charged 150And COULD NOT SEE MY DR. Until it was paid. Mental health is real, difficulty showing up is real - there’s no sense of “help” from the office itself. It’s a cattle shoot and feels so much more about money than it does caring for people who need help. Don’t recommend.

Therapists regularly schedule appointments and then don’t show up to them, meanwhile the client is expected to pay the appointment cost. They don’t answer their phones and only make contact when they want money for services not rendered due to their own incompetence. This office is a fraud. Do not do business here.

Ive really loved my experience here! I can only speak for their online appointments though, as I have not been in person. Aaron is a great, caring provider, and the Spruce app is convenient way to contact him and the office with my concerns and refill requests.

This seems to sound like a broken record but I too was just stood up for a meeting with Susie Seay. Appointment was at 1:30pm and in been in portal since 1:20pm....I wish I would have seen these reviews before scheduling with this practice. From what it seems like I will be prepared to receive a late fee even though they are the ones that are not on time....will be looking elsewhere

Just cancelled my last appointment because of a $70 late fee. The late fee more than twice as much as I’ve ever paid for a copay here. I dont know why Im being charged a late fee and at this point I dont even care. Even if they were willing to cancel it, dealing with GAPW has been so alienating and made me feel so desperate that I just don’t want to deal with them anymore. Im pretty sure they know I don’t owe any late fees and are just trying to make any extra $70 from thin air

Less than a month ago someone posted on reddit does Greater Austin Psychiatry and Wellness still exist? because they hadnt received a response in multiple weeks. I dont feel like the psychiatrists here understand their patients issues very well, and the front desk associates make everything that much more miserable. They literally made me cry in the front office on my first appointment. The girls at the front dont seem to have much empathy considering what the patients coming in are going through.. My psychiatrist Miss Ricky felt robotic and detached from my issues, forgetting triggers of mine and having a hard time explaining to me how the medications worked, giving me incredibly incorrect information about medication, and making me feel very uncomfortable the way she talked about my self harm. It felt like she didnt know what she was talking about. (It’s also important to mention that I was without medication completely due to them simply not responding a few times. They just will not read my messages.) I would not recommend this place at all, as it stands...

Great staff & professional providers. Katherine was really helpful & very understanding. Lady at the front end was very thorough & very detailed. Katherine was also very good at making sure that her patients felt comfortable. Really relaxing environment. & as long as you keep up with the details, visits are quick & punctual. Great service from every end. Looking forward to keep meeting with them.

While initially I felt like this place was good, and I liked my first two appointments with Dr. Susanna Seay - after several months as a patient, I cannot recommend this place to anyone and strongly encourage anyone considering this place to look elsewhere if you are able to.I had a similar experience to some other reviewers in which my patient status was terminated without warning. I only discovered this when I tried to log in for a medication refill and got a message saying my account was disabled. After calling the front desk, I was told that it was due to having not followed up enough. They had sent me a letter weeks earlier informing me that I needed to come in for third appointment. I had called the office weeks earlier when I got the letter to make the appointment - I left a message and no one got back to me. That was the last communication I had with them before my account was disabled. While trying to get my account reinstated in order to continue my access to my medication, I am still shocked about how poorly the office handled the situation. The front office told me it was the office manager’s decision to terminate my patient status. The office manager told me it was my doctor’s decision. I asked repeatedly, through calls and emails, to speak with my doctor, Dr. Susanna Seay. I was told that she was unavailable and my messages would be passed to her. I never heard from her.My access to daily medication for anxiety and depression was cut off without warning, without a transition plan from my doctor, and without any referral to another doctor, without so much as a phone call. Depression can be life threatening and it blows my mind that a psychiatrist’s office is willing to endanger the lives of their patients in this way. It is completely unprofessional, dangerous, and unethical.Finding treatment for mental health is an uphill battle already and unfortunately, this organization only made it harder in the end. I believe their practice of cutting people off as patients with such poor communication/ no warning is incredibly dangerous and can cause major mental health setbacks.

After a very bad experience with psychiatrists several years prior, I was very apprehensive to seek out services again. I have been a client of Lori Fox’s for three years now, and I am so incredibly grateful for her and everyone at this practice! They’ve helped me with payment plans, reasonable workplace accommodations, and helped me finally obtain an accurate diagnosis and medication regiment that works for me. I don’t know where I would be without them. I’m incredibly grateful for Lori and this practice for not only reinstalling my faith in psychiatry, but for helping me to feel whole again.

The location was relatively easy to find. The staff was professional and kind, and the meeting went quite well. The issue I ran into was that my appointment was on a Friday before a three day weekend and they forgot to send the prescription over. I tried calling the office to see if someone would pick up, but they were closed. They do have an on-call emergency clinician, but the automated message does disclaim to great length that whether or not something is an emergency is their discretion and that medication refill requests are not emergencies. They also say that if its not an emergency (again, this is based on their discretion), that you are responsible for the cost, which is not specified.Needless to say, this is not acceptable at all. Post the price, and specify that being without medication because of a mistake your office made is actually an emergency. I do not understand how this was overlooked. I am never going back to this place.

I absolutely LOVED my provider. The low review is due to the front desk being terribly unorganized and sometimes even rude. I cried in the lobby a few times due to my interactions with them. Now after seeing the other reviews I understand that my experience wasnt a one off situation. They are extremely hard to work with and can leave you in a position to not receive the care you need.

At first the practice was easy enough and friendly. Kinda has planned parnenthood/DMV vibes though. I was given a termination letter without prior notice. When I called to ask about it, they told me they would call back and did not. I asked to speak with my provider or email her and they refused to give me her information claiming that they could only relay the message to the provider. Called again today and same thing. They told me that not only could I not schedule another re-evaluation, but that I could never return to the practice ever again. The reason? Not responding to the provider in a timely manner. I was never notified of an impending termination! So unprofessional. The front desk needs to get their stuff together.

One star. I was 13 min late and turned away with a late fee. Yet, when I wait 20-25min over my scheduled time no credit? And the reviews below speak the same. Dr.Tatyana is awesome and the reason I’ve kept the 40 min commute. Office Management could be better.

Avoid these people at all costs. They terminated my care because I got my prescription from my old doctor when I was away in California for a few months. They told me that I did not inform them that I was going to visit my old doctor even though I did months prior. They have left me without my olanzapine, an important bipolar medication, potentially for months until I can find a new doctor. This can be extremely dangerous situation. When I tried to explain what was going on, Kendra the receptionist just hung up on me. They are completely unprofessional. What they are doing is completely unethical and immoral. Do not visit these people. They should have their in network status revoked.

This place is absolutely terrible. The point of psychiatry is working with patients that have illnesses and issues. This place immediately stops care with you (pre treatment or mid treatment) if you are late even one time or miss one appointment. They don’t reschedule at all. If a patient was being treated by them and mid treatment they stopped care for something as silly as this, and the patient became unstable or committed suicide, I’m pretty sure there would even be a case for it from a legal standpoint.Stay clear from here if you really need help and want people that care!

Dr. Tatyana is amazing. The first time I met her I literally unloaded everything. She is very supportive and does her best at each meeting to remember what we talked about at our last session! The only negative I have is if your appointment is say 10am and you are there early or on time, sometimes you are still waiting a good 15/30 Mins for your session time after your scheduled time has passed. Location is not hard to find, GPS literally tells you what lot it is, now there are multiple businesses in this lot/building, but you just have to drive around to the back of the building. Seriously just takes a little initiative.

I’ve never reviewed a dr before but felt I had to here. Went for sleep issues and came up with a plan I felt comfortable with. When I had an issue with our medication plan I messaged as she said I should and was given a link to a website about sleep hygiene. Seriously? When I called the office to say I wasn’t happy with my provider and wanted to switch I was told I would hear back from the patient manager. No response in the last week. Very unprofessional boarding on negligent.

Stay away from this horrific place ! The front desk staff is beyond rude and just flat out mean. Ricky Robinson is an embarrassing excuse for a doctor and told me “my medication was not a priority” and then terminated me as a patient! Never ever ever in my life have I been treated in such a manner by a doctor or medical practice! I will be reporting them and Ricky to the medical board! No one should be treated like this

I would also give a zero star if I could. I called multiple times in attempts to make an appointment and left messages with no return phone call. Finally, I went online and made an appointment. Again, I called the morning of the appointment to re-confirm appt and get a better idea of the location. Again, no one answered the phone or called back. Location was difficult to find----again, called after being lost for 15 minutes, then gave up, went back home. They never called afterwards to follow up in any way. How can they treat patients when they dont answer their phones or have voice to voice interaction? I would suggest finding another option for a doctor......one who cares about the patient.

At first, I thought this place was great. However, when I was prescribed a benzodiazepine and had weird side effects on a very small dose, my practitioner made it seem as if it was in my head. I also had this taking one dose of an SSRI and came off immediately and had complained.I decided to come off of my medication and I wish anyone prescribing these medications would WARN their patients of all and any potential side effects and withdrawal. I once again emailed my practitioner stating some weird symptoms I was having after stopping my medication. Once again, my practitioner told me I was on such a small dose that it probably wasnt withdrawal. I want to reinforce that everyone is different, especially how their body handles medications - like benzodiazepines. I feel like when I had an issue I was basically told it was in my head or she hasnt heard of any effects to that nature. Honestly, all you have to do is pick up any medical book to find out symptoms, side effects, etc. And a small dose of any benzodiazepine is no exception.

Id give them 0 stars if I could. Overbilling mistakes. Cancelling meetings when the patient is still in the waiting room, and billing for the visit.
