They lady at the front was able to print out my shipping lable when I emailed my shipping information using my phone. She was very helpful. The availability of envelopes and bags are great. Convenient. Great for small businesses! Recommended! Excellent hours. The only issue is the credit card additional fee of 50 cents for a minimum purchase, I believe.
Update: Closed AGAIN on Saturday which I find out AFTER I drive all the way here. So done with this place. If you want poor service (except for Wednesdays & Saturdays when the only professional & reliable employee works), and unpredictable hours where you get your mail, then this is the place.Older review: We actually get our mail here & have been doing so for about 6 years & theyve always been very nice. However, I tried to ship a framed piece of artwork & it was quite clear that the woman who was working had absolutely no idea how to package it, so I ended up having to go to UPS store to have it properly packaged & shipped.
This place is never too busy cause the lady is rude and prices you the highest prices. She wanted $71 dollars to ship to Katy Texas. Made excuses for the price. Went over (just 4 miles away) to the postal place on Manchaca & Slaughter (HEB Stripe Mall) and the same package same date was only $12. Dont waste your time here. Go down to the HEB area and use that postal shipping company. Sooooo much more customer friendly!!!! And Cheaper!
This place has the nicest people running it. They are always helpful and nice to talk to.
Absolutely worst customer service experience. Never coming here again. The woman at the front was extremely rude to me, I simply wanted a drop off receipt and it seemed to annoy her that i asked her to that. I then asked her when would be the next USPS pick up and she was like oh i wish i knew they havent been here for days i saw the truck there the day before 😒 so annoyed by her. Im a small business owner in Austin and literally live 3 minutes from Goin Postal and will never drop off my packages here again. She needs to be replaced.
The sign says open, but nobody’s home! I came during business hours, on a Thursday (May 6) at 3pm, but the door was locked and the open sign was lit! Wth???
Will it survive!? She wants masks, instead of money! No, I don’t use muzzles.
The lady was awesome! Very helpful, very much could tell she likes what she does
This place Going Postal is a great place for me to do my shipping and receiving and get copies made. Really a handy place!
Ive been using Goin Postal for the past 2 years for shipments and have always had great a experience! Staff is super friendly, helpful, and service is quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend!
I’ve been using Goin Postsl to drop off Amazon return since it’s close to my house. I’ve found the staff to be pleasant, quick, and I always get a receipt. My packages have been delivered with no problems. Sometimes you project your own attitude onto others. Consider that people who work with the public have the crappiest jobs since some people are genuine a$$holes. Be kind to people and you will find they are kind in return. It costs nothing.
I never have trouble here and almost never have to wait in a line. Highly suggest coming here for any shipping needs!! Staff is kind and always helpful.
Giving a 4 star review because the customer service was really good. The cost was expensive but I imagine that is pretty much out of the control of the person there working. This isnt a post office but rather more of a FedEx shipping office.
Rented a p.o. box. Good prices and nice staff. Made it easy and they hold your packages and call you when stuff comes in!
I’ve really only ever dropped packages off here, not done other things. But they are always so friendly!!
I have been here many times to drop off my Amazon return packages and to send out things once in a while. As of recently, the location is under new management and the inside has been given a facelift, sort of. Nothing to write home about, but they a UPS shipper and take my Amazon boxes, so I am more than content with that.
Good service. Some employees as in any business are a little rough around the edges.......so are some owners. An employee argued with me about my payment which was more than what was due. I had to engage the owner to show that a previous payment had never been entered into his payment data base. Even so until I produced my bank statements that showed the non-entered amount even the owner tried to argue with me. At this Goin Postal the customer is always WRONG until bank statements and/or video/audio shows different.(1.) Update 9/20: there is one employee who is a tad bit MORE rough around the edges than average. I went to find a missing or misdelivered FedEx package. I got rudeness, denials, and little cooperation. The next encounter with this person was worse. I was denied my packages, and mail, then the person called the police on me. After watching my two video/audio recordings, and speaking to a client who was present, the officer apologized, then helped me retrieve my my mail and property. The owner needs to modify his hiring practices.(2.) There does not seem to be a way to pay online, a minor inconvenience, but one may ask why in this day, and age?
Every time I walk into this place, I am greeted warmly and taken care of. I find that a pleasant hello and a little patience make your experience a good one. Too all those complainers, I do hope you find peace somewhere.
Ive only been there the one time but the employees are fast and friendly they got me in and out no problem
They lost my package containing a $600 tech item that I sent in to a company for service. I called to track it and the same lady I sent it through asked why I didnt have insurance and I said I didnt know it was offered because she didnt offer it to me. She said that was my fault for not asking and that she didnt ask customers if they want it because thats too many questions and not her job. Which is funny to me because she barely spoke to me when I was there mailing it, and was rude when she did speak. (I literally have never shipped a package worth more than $10 so I literally didnt know that insurance was a thing and I would have loved that info.) When I called and expressed concern over this, she laughed and hung up on me. Seriously people, trust these horrible reviews. This woman has a nasty attitude, overcharges, will lose your stuff, and then shell blame it on you and hang up in you. Horrible service, horrible human. You are the worst. 💜 Id really like my $600 back. Just go to the next closest post office and lets get these people out of business.
Charges for dropping off a package with printed shipping label. Gone through 4 other shipping centers around town (north & south) and never got charge a drop-off fee. Not sure why they are doing it... dont make much sense. If you dont mind getting charged $3 for drop-offs, go for it. The lady behind the counter was courteous though.
A bit more pricey than other companies, however service is usually faster.
Went in to ship a smallish, light box to CA. Lady at the counter told me it would be $45. Woa. She was nice enough to try to fit my stuff in a smaller box she had, but it was still $25 to ship! I took my original package to USPS and they shipped it (to expensive CA) for $13. This place is a rip off. Save yourself.
Great service
First time here and the lady at the front was rude, not very helpful at all. Just wanted to get my package and get out of there. Would not come back again and damn you UPS, for making me come here for my package. After you only attempted to deliver it once.
Ive had a box here for as long as Ive been in Austin. I travel a lot (military). On several occasions I have been gone so long that my box has expired. They kept my box mine and all my mail. Great service, kind and thoughtful lady.
I believe in Austin for over 12 years and I have given this place a dozen or so opportuni to served me. Every single time they are short of incompetent. Packages get lost, delay, wrong pricing, no boxes e.t.c.Try elsewhere, many others near do better.
Easy. Quick. Courteous! Convenient location.I
Unless money is no object i wouldnt use this place!I went to mail a 6lb smallish box from Austin to CA. They wanted $49.00I drove from thier to USPS and shipped exact box for $21.Goin Postal is a rip off!
The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. The woman at the desk stood there having a personal conversation with a woman who was clearly not purchasing anything for 15 minutes and did not acknowledge the two people in line. Horrible service.
Great service. Good greeting card choice.
Slow slow staff and very unprofessional. If the girl behind the counter moved any slowed she might have fallen asleep. People are waiting with their packages ready and they let the person at the counter address every single one of their letters while everyone else who was prepared waited.
The staff is courteous and friendly.
Change your name! With all the mass shootings we are plagued with in this country, this name isnt funny or cute.
They charged $38 to ship a box. When I got home I looked it up on the UPS website and it was only supposed to cost $19. I would never go there again.
Its Nice To Have In The Hood!!Posted: Saturday__06/18/2016.
Great place
Pathetic. They werent even there at 9AM when they open. I waited until 9:15 and a neighboring business was kind to print my item for me.
They took very great care of my package.
Staff is wonderful, always, service with a smile!
The fat short crude blond heifer cussed me out because i asked her how long she would be. I was waiting with my package, after standing waiting while she was personal conversation with a lady friend customer.Horrible customer service & very unlady like. Never again
Best service in town
Great easy and fast😉
Nosey people who open your packages and ruin peoples lives over a plant that grows natural...isnt it a felony to tamper and open others peoples mail??
Rude, abrasive, and will overcharge on anything they can.
Unprofessional, horrible customer service.
