Ruined my daughters hair. She spent 8 hours in the salon and this was the outcome. This was the first time she’d ever had color and they fried her hair. Did not blend at all. Put way too much blonde knowing they could not color the extensions.

It took me a while to find a place that I truly love. A place that gets my taste and are able to deliver a look I am proud of. I get so many compliments after I leave Gabrielle. I have my regular who not only helps me create sleek hairstyles but is also fun to chat with. When Im there, they make sure Im comfortable with a nice cup of green tea and some great music! Also, the colorist Bonnie is a wizard with those brushes. My highlights are always on point! Finally, I would say I love this place because they can actually handle natural hair instead of just putting it in braids. I get the full serves from shampoo and press to sew-ins.

Love coming here! I had never had extensions before, and I decided to try right before my wedding. The risk was totally worth it - I absolutely love my hair. Martini was also able to lighten to a blonde without it turning brassy (this is a first from a salon for me). Atmosphere is great, too! I have fun every time I go in.

I have been coming to this salon to get my relaxer and styling for the past 9 years. I had just moved here from the east cost and my hair was severely damage from the cold and not using the right products. Thanks to anther online review from a costumer who was in a similar situation to mine I visited the salon and spoke to Laylanda who performed a very thorough evaluation of my hair and in a very professional manner described the course of action she would take to have my hair grow in a healthy manner. The process was slow but in a few months I started to notice my hair was growing as she took care of it. I noticed she had a lot of experience, but what kept me coming was her work ethics and kindness towards me and other costumers. She was always going above and beyond to accommodate her costumers needs and I was really shocked that there were people coming from San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas just to get their hair done by Laylanda. That part I thought it was crazy until it was my time to move. I lived in San Antonio for 3 years and for the past 5 years I have been living in Houston and not once i felt the need to find another salon to do my hair. I drive from Houston every 6-8 weeks early in the morning to get to Austin just to get my hair done by Laylanda because it is simply worth it. I am sure Houston has plenty of talented hairdressers but I rather get in my car and do the drive just so that i can continue to have the same high level of care from one of the most professional, kind and experienced hairdresser I have ever met. I hope this review is as helpful to someone out there as that one review was for me back on in 2011 because my hair was never the same and for that i will always be grateful.

I had been going to the barber shop in the back for a year when I moved to S Austin. Since that would be a terrible drive in Austin traffic, I decided to find a new barber near me.After trying 3 other barbers down south, I was super dissatisfied with the quality of those haircuts.So now I make that looong drive up north to see Ray because he’s the only barber I trust and he listens and does what I ask, instead of nodding and doing whatever he wants to anyway!Also the customer service is excellent overall there. I feel welcome and warm whenever I walk in the door from all the staff. “Hello”, “How are you?”, “We missed you”.Class A business. I highly recommend.

I thought I had found the perfect salon. My first visit was great. The prices were more than Im used to but I thought it was worth it. My next visit the wait time turned to 3 hours, the next over 3 hours. The stylist books 4 to 5 clients at a time. At first beverages were provided, on my last visit, no drink provided. As long as the wait, you need something to sip on.

Lylanda is the owner and the best!!! I never in a million years thought I would consider hair extensions as Ive been blessed with nice thick hair, however a hair emergency sent me over to the salon. Half of my hair got ripped out accidentally while getting caught in something, leaving half of my head in ridiculously short strands. I read the reviews and immediately contacted Gabrielles salon. She did a great job in fixing up the area where my hair got ripped out and adding volume in other places to help create symmetry. I had a problem, she solved it. After talking with her its evident that she is a master in hair extensions. My hair came out looking awesome, honestly cant tell at all that I have some extensions in. I plan to keep them until my natural hair grows out. Once again I feel confident. Go see Lylanda!!!!!

I recently went into Gabrielles because I needed to get my dreads retwisted. Cookie was the person that provided me with my service, she was great. She started on time and it didnt take too long. I was very pleased with the way they came out they were clean and neat in addition to that, she gave me the option of getting them braided. I definitely will be going back to her from now on, as well as refer everyone I know to her.

I cant say enough about stylist Kendra and how patient she was with styling and braiding my 3-year-old daughters hair. I am almost sure my daughter has been one of her toughest clients :), however Kendra remained very professional and trained during the entire appointment. My daughter isnt a fan (AT ALL) of getting her long, thick hair combed and dreads the talk of shampooing/conditioning. So, for Kendra to remain patient and professional during the entire 5 hours of combing, detangling, shampooing, conditioning, straightening and braiding - I am EXTREMELY thankful!! The end results were amazing! Kendra deserves a gold star for her excellent customer service!

I recently went to get a haircut at Gabrielles and was very satisfied with the service. Their customer service is what also made me enjoy my visit. The barbers are very social with customers and everyone spoke to everyone in the building. A very comfortable place. I will be returning to Gabrielles for my future haircuts.

Raymond Walker was the first person that cut my hair at Gabrielles. I ask for him every time now. He is one of the best at Gabrielles. Gabrielles in general is a really nice place to visit, but he made this one of my favorite destinations for a haircut in Austin. Its clean, professional and most of all, one of Austins best hairdressers works here.

First off, the staff is incredible!! Faith dyed my hair (she is sooo sweet and friendly) and Lylanda did my extensions. Omg Lylanda works magic and has a heart of gold!!! My hair went from a pixie cut to 24 inches in length. The extensions look so natural and the whole environment is so positive and upbeat. Dylanda is amazing at the front desk and I love this place so much!

I’ve been a client with Lylanda since 2014 when I relocated to Austin from FL. I was in need of a stylist that focused on health hair and she is the best in town. I’ve since moved back to FL but still comes to a he salon as often as I can.

My friends and I planned a girls weekend in Austin and we thought it would not be complete without a spa party. Gabrielle’s was a great pick! Everyone got to choose the services that they wanted. The individual custom packages allowed us to mix and match facials, massages, mani and pedis. We drank, ate and laughed and just had a wonderful time!! The private spa party suite was nice. I recommend Gabrielle’s Salon & Day Spa to anyone looking for a combination of relaxation and fun with girlfriends!

My past experiences there were pretty good. My most recent experience, not so much. The stylist was sooooooooo rough with my hair. The wash, the wrapping, the styling, just very aggessive. There was hair pulling, and I could literally hear my hair snapping/breaking as she was combing through it.

The folks at Grabielle s always treat us wonderfully. And the hair cuts are the best!

After so many bad experiences with salons in the past, I was at this point of giving up. Sometimes it can be very difficult finding someone that can do my type of hair. After 6 years of avoiding salons I felt it was time to do something with my hair. After the salon researches I made for the past few months, I decided to go along with this salon. I gave a call for an appointment (very nice lady picked up and helped me with some questions I had then scheduled an appointment the next day). Upon my arrival, I was welcomed with wonderful customer service (I cant forget! they offered me coffee and water).Now just remember, I havent been to the salon for a long time so I am kind of new to styling my hair. Shante was there to help me out! I never have extensions before, and I was trying the find the best one to go with my hair. Shante was very knowledgeable and gave me the best suggestion for my hair type (Im half black and half hispanic). I will tell you, I made the BEST decision coming here. Shante did a BEAUTIFUL job on my hair and the extensions! A lot of people complimented my hair and this is all thanks to Shante! Thank you so much!I will be coming back! Ive been taking my daughter here since we moved to Austin from LA and its on par with exclusive salon we took her to there and half the price. Jessica is amazing, highly recommend her!!!!

I purchased Indique hair from here twice. The first time I had no issues. The second time the hair was either not Indique or defective. I’ve used Indique for years & I’ve never had an issue with it. The hair was so dry/brittle/thin (at the ends), two different stylists were unable to curl it (it does not hold curls). I contacted this business to let them know about the issue & they basically told me to send the hair to Indique so it could be tested for a defect. In my opinion, not cool. I’m not accustomed to not dealing directly with the one in which I’ve exchanged a transaction. At any rate, I won’t purchase hair from here again.To clarify, my review is only based on a purchae of what was sold as Indique hair and not an install or an experience with any stylist.

I have been searching for a qualified and professional stylist in Austin for a while now. My service from Kendra Mc Collough was not professional but she also provided world-class customer service. It truly makes me sad to post this review. I am currently transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. Everyone had been talking about these Dominican Blowouts to help with transitioning, so I decided to give it a try. As far as I know, this salon is the only one in Austin that specializes in these blowouts. I went to Marlin and loved my hair when she was done. It was beautiful & looked absolutely amazing. However, things soon changed leaving me with bitter disappointment & frustration. The 2nd time I went to Marlin, she was running 2 hours late. This was a major inconvenience, since I was coming on my lunch break. I just used PTO to make up the time and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and let that on slide. After leaving my visit, I scheduled a 3rd appointment 2 wks out to have my hair blown out again. I received a call from Marlin literally the morning of my appointment saying that she would have to take me later, because she had to make room to squeeze in another client. I was so angry & frustrated because again- I had scheduled this appointment around my work schedule. My hair was getting frizzy and I desperately needed a blow out so I just agreed and accepted her apology. She guaranteed me that noting like this would ever happen again. The last straw was when I made another appointment 2 weeks in advance (On a Saturday this time). I was heading to New York for New Years to watch the ball drop. My appointment was scheduled so my hair could look nice and be manageable while traveling to Time Square. I wanted everything to be perfect. 3 days before my trip, Marlin texted me saying she could not see me until a week later because she had decided to take a trip to Alaska. I was furious!!! She left me royally screwed!!! My hair was a mess and I had absolutely know clue what I would do. I dont think I have ever been so disappointed and let done by a hairdresser. Luckily, my old hairdresser squeezed in room for me & did a sew-in. From thereon, I have been using sew-ins to transition. I would NEVER recommend such an unreliable & irresponsible hairdresser to anyone!!! To seal the deal, I called the owner in an attempt to report Marlins incompetence & was told that she would call me back. 1 week later.... NO CALL. I made 2 other attempts and heard nothing. It has been over a month and the owner still has not called me back. This place is a joke & a disgrace. Please think before you come here. This is simply unacceptable & a lack of professionalism to the fullest extent!!!

Lylanda was able to save the day for me. After a botched lace front install from another salon, I was able to contact Gabrielles and get an appointment with Lylanda after finding her salon through the internet with the outstanding reviews. She was able to turn the disasterous install into a beautiful flawless non visible lace front looking natural as possible. Thank you so much for being there and working my daughter in. You agreed to meet me at 8:30 am and showed up promptly and went right to work. We have found our new home for hair care and will gladly travel from Waco for you anytime. My girl is walking around with confidence and feeling glamorous. Cant wait til our next appointment. Thanks so much Lylanda.
