I have been a member for over 3 years now and have loved every second. When I first signed up, I got a personal call from David and had a great conversation, answering all my questions and concerns. My first day, I immediately felt welcomed and challenged by the workouts. The community and spirit surrounding this gym is second to none. It is clear the coaches have put a lot of time into the programming and keep each class engaging. They support and push when needed. You will see results and reach your goals if you keep up your end of the deal. They provide an excellent foundation for you to succeed no matter what your goals are. OTL Fitness is cut from a different cloth. Join this gym.

This is the best gym Ive ever been to! The workouts will whip you into shape and will challenge you.The coaches are all excellent, professional, and enthusiastic. You will never see a coach on their phone during class or distracted. They are in the present moment and focused on helping everyone get better.Ive met some great people here who have become friends. They have a great, inclusive community.Cant recommend more highly!

I’ve been coming to OTL Fitness for over 3 years now. The coaches and community at this Austin gym are a second family to me. I trained here before, during (up Week 38), and after my pregnancy (including some various injuries in between). Coach David and Coaches Travis and Blake are very in-tuned to their members knowing when to push them to get to their next PR and when to embrace a lighter load for a stronger recovery. I get an all around workout here covering mobility, strength, cardio, mental stamina, and wellness. With plenty of equipment and daily cleaning practices, you can feel safe at this Austin gym and supported through whatever phase of your fitness journey you are on.

This gym is the best I have ever been to! The coaches are incredible, so supportive and genuinely care for their clients. The workouts are very thoughtful, never the same, and always tough. Injury prevention is HUGE at this gym. I can not emphasize enough how important this is to me because I work out to stay strong and get stronger, not to injure myself and be outta the game! There is more focus on form, proper warm up, and mobility than I have experienced at any other gym. This is my gym for life. The culture is amazing, too; we really do have fun! I work out early so having the support of my fellow classmates gets me out of bed and keeps me pushing harder.

This is the best gym, hands down in Austin. If you are looking for somewhere that will push you and bring the best out of you, in and out of the gym, this is where you want to be. Coach David and Courtney are very motivating and encouraging. They genuinely care about the person and are not only interested in getting you in and out the doors. All they ask of you is that you push yourself to be your best. The facility is awesome and clean, and the people are very supportive. The atmosphere of the gym is like no other. No matter what your fitness level is, you can always find someone there that encourages you to push forward and does not let you quit. If you have been searching for a gym in Austin, I say give OTL fitness a try and see why I love this place so much.

Of The Lion Fitness is the best gym in Austin! Coach David De Leon is very knowledgeable and always aware of his athletes needs. He puts thought into the workout progression and has a purpose for everything that is done. He is a tremendous motivator and makes you want to be better. Coach Courtney is the best boot camp coach in town. She constantly challenges her athletes with her innovative workouts and her attention to detail. They both lead by example. The passion they have for changing lives is unmatched. The workouts are fun yet challenging. The atmosphere is always encouraging and the members are like family. If you are serious about your fitness this is the gym for you.

So happy to have found this place! Coach David and Coach Travis are great coaches that bring loads of fun energy to every workout. They are both very good at pushing everyone hard and correcting our form to ensure that everyone is being safe.Reason #2 why this is a great gym: The people. Theres a lot of very fit/strong people here, but everyone is really humble and helpful. Everyone Ive met have been really friendly and supportive, no egos here. They push you to do your best while cheering and motivating each other. Everyone here helps each other out, including putting weights back. Its truly a great community.Reason #3: Programming. Ive been to several gyms around town. The ones that give me a killer workout usually kill my body, leaving me too sore to move and workout again the next day. Somehow OTL knows how to strike the delicate balance. Each workout pushes me to my limit, but Im never too sore to workout again the next day. I love the simplicity and effectiveness of the workout.All in all, OTL is everything I look for in a gym...and more.

Ive trained with Courtney for over 6 months now, and I can say that shes extremely knowledgeable, brings a ton of experience to the table, and shell push you past your comfort zone without being obnoxious about it. Also, I have some significant limitations due to past injuries which Courtney works around very effectively – if a particular move is uncomfortable or out of my range of motion, she has two or three alternatives at the ready. Super attentive, super trainer!

I have been going to OTL for about 9 months now and couldnt be happier with the results. I have gone to other gyms and tried them out, but have never been fully satisfied. David and Courtney have such passion to make others not only look but feel better. Its not just the work outs that get me pumped but Davids constant motivation during them puts a little more fire underneath your butt. I highly recommend OTL to anyone who is wanting to get their body and mind in better shape. Its been the best decision Ive made. Thanks David and Courtney! :)

This review has been a few years in the making: David, Courtney & Travis are the best around. My husband and I (side note: we got engaged at the original OTL facility and David recorded it on his iPad while my now husband and Courtney came up with a plan on how it would happen) have been with this gym from the beginning. We left our previous Austin gym the minute we found out David was opening his own gym and havent looked back since. We worked out with him when the facility was no larger than my 2 car garage but we believed in him and his work ethic and ability to be successful in his own business. We have had to take hiatuses from the gym for various reasons like school and health but David and Courtney have been no short of amazing coaches and friends. Every time we can drop by the gym to say hey or get back into our fitness regimen, were always welcomed with open arms. Weve always hoped the best for them and their success in and outside of the gym and that is what they hope for us. Its awesome knowing that when we cant make it to the gym, David is well aware as to why and he will shoot us a text to check in and see how things are going (not only with our fitness but with our personal life). He is just as much invested in our personal lives as he is our fitness and that quality in a coach is hard to find and doesnt go unnoticed. OTL will provide you amazing results when you put in the effort. David and Courtney will tell you exactly what needs to get done to reach your goals while keepin it real. All they ask is that you give 100% every time youre in the gym. If you do that, you wont get anything short of an awesome workout. Sometimes you want to die and other times you want to die a little more but every time you look up by the workout board you see the question did you get better today? and each time you walk into OTL, you can definitely say yes once you leave. OTL is so much more than a gym, it is truly a family. We go to eachothers weddings, we hangout outside of the gym, we hang around after our workouts to just catch up and see how life is going. I have met some of the best people in my life because of OTL and what David and Courtney built. We are normal, everyday people who come from such different backgrounds (doctors, lawyers, nurses, pastors, social workers, accountants, etc.) but have a mutual love and respect for OTL. This gym and the people truly care about you as a person and want you to be better than yesterday, everyday. So, if youre looking for a gym built on hard work and family, this is the place for you!

I cannot say enough good things about OTL and coach David de Leon. At OTL each athlete is given the tools to succeed through proper instruction, programming, and equipment. David is a great motivator and knows how to get the best out of people. If youre looking for a gym youd be doing yourself a disservice by not checking this place out.

Ive been to this gym for at least two years now and Ive enjoyed my time there.David will write the workouts on a whiteboard. Each class for that day will do the same workout (with possible minor variations in the later classes). The classes are not self-directed and the class will move from section to sections as a group. This is extremely helpful for those like me that need motivation of a group to succeed or are two lazy to consistently create your own workouts.Workouts are varied, but do tend to clump. For example, we may do front or back squats for 6 weeks straight, but then do them rarely for the next 6 weeks while we focus on another area. Partner or team exercises are fairly common, which motivates me as I dislike letting someone else down.Workouts range from traditional weightlifting (squats, deadlifts, bench), to olympic weightlifting (cleans, jerks, press) at various reps and % of your max. In addition we do more cardio activities (rowing, ski, airdyne, sprints). There is also a strong emphasis on improving activities that I didnt think I could ever do. For me that was things like push ups, pull ups and being upside down in general (wall walks, handstands). I also like the focus on form, as well as the various warmup/stretching sections. I rather do things right then faster/heavier.

First of all, what makes Of The Lion Fitness (OTL) are the Coaches! Coach David, Courtney and Travis are positive and motivating instructors. They each offer a different skill sets and expertise. For example, Courtney has plenty of knowledge on nutrition and is eager to share any tips and recipes. Travis focuses on movement, bring important stretching routines. David (from my experience) is a great teacher and leader. All these coaches participate in classes and make OTL Fitness warm and inviting.Another factor about OTL is their community. Everyone under the instruction of Coach David, Courtney and Travis have varying body types and ages. Not to mention, everyone is super supportive. From the first classes I started, I felt like everyone in the gym wanted me to do well, motivating me to work harder. I didnt feel judged and I feel 100% comfortable asking questions about a particular exercise.Lastly, the gym OTL has is awesome and the exercises we do are never boring. Ive been going to OTL for a few weeks and I have not repeated the same exercise twice. Their are similar types of exercises that we do but it hasnt gotten dull and I dont expect it too.I have been to other gyms and either the gym itself or the coaches never really impressed me. But this gym has a safe environment where everyone wants to succeed and wants each other to do awesome. Also, one more thing to mention: they are flexible with hours and if you miss a class, you can make it up!I would absolutely recommend this gym to anyone, especially for those that are wanting a really good workout and in a body/goal positive environment.

I started about 3 months ago and can already see changes to my shape. Body fat is down 3% and I am noticeably stronger, all because of OTL.I selected OTL over other larger places in town because of all of the glowing references of David. A few of my colleagues were coached by him at CrossFit Central and they said he is the best coach they have ever had. Hes focused on form above anything else. He doesnt want you to get hurt, but hes also the first one to push you once the form is there. Hes a true pro and a great guy as well.The facility is great, the workouts are never the same, and the coaching and personal attention are unparalleled. The other folks in class are great. Everyone is encouraging - no meathead attitudes to be found.At this point, I have to admit Im addicted. Not only do I look forward to going, but I actually enjoy it while Im there too. After seeing how it changes how I look and feel, I cant imagine ever stopping. I dont want to go back to the old me.
