Hey Google, your directions were off. You led me to a hotel on 2nd street. A guy there sent me to the corner of 4th and Congress. The people there were really helpful and showed me new ways to get my work done at lower costs than I was expecting.
FedEx Office is great for many things office related but they need to get out of the Passport Service business which they have failed miserably in my book. In February, I went to the FedEx Office located at 110 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78701 to get a passport photo. I sent the photo along with my passport renewal application and expired passport. In mid-March, my expired passport, application, and photo were returned for the simple reason that I was wearing glasses on the passport photo. I went back to FedEx Office to have a new passport photo taken. I mailed the new photo, expired passport, and application. Received an email that my passport was received on March 30 2020. To make a long story short, the photo was returned July 31, 2020 with a letter stating that the photo was not compliant. I decided not to return to FedEx Office and went to my local CVS pharmacy and had it done right. FedEx Office, just stick to Printing, Packing and Shipping Services and forget about Passport Services.
It’s on the 5th floor of the hotel and they charge a hotel convenience fee. There’s another fedex two blocks away.
Im only giving this a 5 star rating because the nice attendant let me take my delivery to another fedex location to mail. THEY CHARGE A TEM DOLLAR HANDLING FEE! So yeah, walk the two blocks to the other fedex and youll save money. By the way they charge a ten dollar handling fee because they are located in the hotel so it makes sense... But Google doesnt make that clear.
5th floor inside the Mariott.
In a word, awesome.
