Tiffany was so accommodating and awesome throughout our whole process and worked with our lender who was difficult to communicate with at some times. She even got us cookies at closing as a celebration! She was the reason we closed on time. I do not really understand the negative reviews here

IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS COMPANY- DO IT. Well I think this is the first time Ive written a review for anything. I cant say enough how awful and unprofessional this company is. Seriously. I dont know how they still have business. They must have a niche within Austin because theres no way they could operate within these parameters and be successful. If only there was an option to give zero stars. Weve been trying to close on a home for over a week now and this place doesnt seem to know what theyre supposed to be doing. We have been given one actual concrete meeting time in the around 8 days weve been trying to get a closing date, and the time was set for 3pm. It took around 2 hours before we could even get someone to talk to. After we waited for hours for someone, they said they still didnt have the paperwork, which had been sent to them multiple times over the past few days. I will give them a slight break since they were out of power a couple days last week due to the weather, but they have multiple locations around Austin. I call in to check on the status of the paperwork and the person who answered the phone had an attitude for no reason. Its just one thing after another. It seems like a lot of other people are having the same experience so I hope someone finds this review and makes their choice accordingly. Stay away from this company.

They are always quick to respond, highly professional, operate with integrity, and exude kindness in all of their communications. Thank you so much, Austin Title & Team Tiffany, for everything!

I am an active real estate investor and this is by far the worst closing experience ever. I hesitate to even give this poorly managed office and operation a 1 star.1. poor communication. disorganized. I had to chase after them for everything.2. showed up to appointment on time only to end up waiting for additional half hour with no water while the “document prints” while the notary is in the other room chatting. Complete lack of transparency about why we are waiting, how long, and complete lack of hospitality.3. rude, downright hostile and inconsiderate notary who just shoved a piece of paper in my face to sign and doesn’t bother explaining anything. Zero value add.4. Management team that pretends to care about customer feedback but in reality never responds to my email. If you are selling your home, look to one of the many other title companies nearby. Anything else will excel this sorry excuse of an operation.

Failed to disclose a UCC Fixture(water softener) Lien, from 2008, on the property in the name of the original owners. The property went into foreclosure from the original owners in 2014 and was sold to a developer who in turn sold it to our son in 2015. He was sold Title Insurance underwritten by Fidelity Title Insurance. In 2018, our son Quit Claimed the title to my wife and I. (I should mention we had funded escrow and closing on the purchase in 2015 and paid all payments so, in essence, we were the owners) While trying to refinance the home in April 2019, the UCC Lien from 2008 was found by our current title company as it had been renewed in 2012 and 2017.Figuring the Fidelity Title Insurance would cover the missed UCC filing a claim was filed against the title insurance. Fidelity declined to cover the omission and denied the request because the title was Quit Claimed to us leaving us on the hook for the $6,900+ (fees & interest.)I fought with the Lender who financed the water softener in 2008 and subsequently issued the UCC lien. At first, they declined to talk with me as I was not either of the individuals named on the original claim - one of them had passed away. Finally, after a month of back and forth, the lender offered to settle the UCC Lien for $500.I paid this, but Im sure Austin Title of Fidelity will not reimburse for their error of omission

Bad experience from the beginning. First, they refused to contact us with requested updates, despite their promises to do so. “We’ll call you Friday” translates into us calling them on Monday, asking for the same information again. Their response, “we’ll send the information in an email in an hour” is similarly a blatant lie and apparently just an excuse to get you off the phone. They NEVER contacted us regarding our requests. They also screwed up the amount we owed on the purchase, and our realtor had to catch the mistake. Then, for reasons nobody understands they outright voided the deposit check— again, without ever informing us. Our seller had to contact us to let us know what was going on. And the only reason I even have time to type all of this out is because they screwed up our closing appointment time, asking us to come in first thing in the morning, and then apparently rescheduling — you guessed it, without bothering to tell us. I am sitting here hoping against all reasonable expectation that this is the last screw-up.

Dont bother calling them. I called & left a msg for a new closing and no return call. I called back the next day and I was told by Susans asst that she hadnt had time to get back to me. We are in the third day and not even the common courtesy of a phone call. The worst reception Ive ever experienced! Austin title doesnt need your business. There are other professional title companies that will appreciate your business, unfortunately, Austin title is not one of them.

DO NOT USE AUSTIN TITLE! This company is happy to take your money but, when they screw up--and with my home purchase, their lack of due diligence is immense-they ignore your needs, stonewall at any chance and treat you like their errors are your fault. If I could give negative stars, youd be looking at a black hole.13 years after this company did the transaction documents for my home purchase, I go to sell my house only to learn that Austin Title did NOT compile the required legal documents to show a full and complete transfer of ownership! They did NOT list the correct legal description for the property on the warranty deed, the title insurance policy or the loan contract, even though they accepted and used a copy of the ORIGINAL plat from the original owner of the house, which pictures the lot in full, including latitude and longitude data. They did NOT procure inheritance documents to show legal transfer of ownership of the deceaseds portion of the estate to prove the owners who signed for the sale even had the right to sell it! When I contact them to get this corrected, before I lose the sale I have pending, they claim their documentation for the sale was destroyed. They have not responded to my correspondence on how to put a claim on the title insurance they provided me for this type of situation, nor have they responded to requests from me and the current title company handling my pending sale for assistance in fixing THEIR SCREWUP!!! Their incompetence and their lack of cooperation is not only noted by me and their competitor, but also when I am finally through dealing with the fallout from their total incompetence, Ill report them to every legal entity in the State of Texas monitoring such companies and every professional association that deals with real estate to do my best to have this company shut down.
