It was nice having one company that helped with all the storm/hail damage that we incurred a few months back. From the estimate to the final results, these guys were great to work with! We had issues with our insurance company getting everything started, but they patiently waited for us to work all that out and when it was time, they got right to work. We were given a time frame and they stuck to it! The painted our fence, installed new gutters and installed a new roof and everything turned out amazing! I even had them do some side work installing a new exterior door and that turned out great too! Communication was top notch and their professionalism was the icing on the cake! Thank you for everything you guys did and all the hard work you put in to make our home look beautiful! My wife and I appreciate it more than you know!

This organization is a farce. They will give businesses with 1-2 star national ratings an A+ review solely because the businesses respond to complaints (while failing to resolve them) all while those businesses have 1-star ratings with the BBB! Their business model is set up to receive fee payments from businesses to keep them in A+ standing while doing nothing but responding. It doesnt get more corrupt, fraudulent and unethical than this. So to be clear, the BBB is propagating bad businesses as A+ because they are getting paid. At some point, the government should look into this corruption and do something about it since its essentially lying to the public.

The Better Business Bureau helped phenomenally in the process to rectify my challenge with American Airlines. I had been struggling to receive compensation, or even recognition from AA for three months. As soon as the BBB was involved I was recognized by AA and compensation was finally recovered. I greatly appreciate the assistance in resolving this matter.

I provided them with documents showing that the moving company promised to refund my money via email, receipt & text message but the Better Business Bureau didn’t even lower the companies rating/score, nothing..... When customer service with a large company fails you, the Better Business Bureau gets results. I have lodged no fewer than three complaints this past year, and I always get a call back from a competent individual within the company that helps me to resolve my problem, versus calling the general support line and getting someone in a third world country who barely speaks English and doesnt truly understand the nature of my problem.

We recently had our trees trimmed by Joes Tree Care LLC and were very pleased with Their work. Joe gave us a very reasonable bid, provided us with a written quote AND a copy of their insurance. His workers showed up on time, were friendly and very careful and efficient (picked up every branch and twig). When they finished we did a walk around to be sure we were satisfied before payment was made. We will use them again when the time comes. Wed give them an overwhelming thumbs up!!!

I had a complaint about the the moderators of the US Message Board/Forum Foundry, which is an Internet forum, refusal to comply with the sites stated terms of service, so I turned to the BBB to obtain help in getting the site owners/administrators to fulfill the request Id made of the moderators.The BBB acted as an intermediary and facilitated the resolution of the dispute. The whole process went quite smoothly and I obtained an outcome that suited me.I recommend the BBB to anyone having a customer service complaint. The process for obtaining the BBBs assistance is simple, efficient and effective.

While having ups and downs and thanks to someone in a department, they damaged and affected our profile and standing. However; almost like in the superhero comics when all was lost and ruined and we were terminating our relationship a brilliant young lady by the name of Rezzy Davis stepped in and saved the day. She went from being a stranger to a huge asset to our company, she helped us and made us a better company. She knew all of her tools from her office and offered them to us, put them in our hands and made us even better. While we are still fixing the damages and issues caused she has brought sunshine in what seem darkness. We can only say wherever you go, you wont find a more trusty person to deal with and help your business than here and this young lady. Trust her and you will never be dissapointed, nor will you ever find a stronger advocate and help to your business. We would try to steal her away from her job, because she so amazing, but she has her eye set on helping businesses all over Texas. In business you rarely have any help so its a huge blessing and relieve to have someone like her around.

Ive gone to the BBB several times for help with companies that wouldnt budge and theyve helped me 98% of the time. Only companies that didnt care about their BBB rating like Dish network were difficult and unmoved by the loss of customers. Everyone else came to a resolution with me and usually very timely.

This company is horrible. I dont even know why they exist. I had a complaint regarding a company in Austin Texas. The company never responded to the complaint and so BBB closed the complaint in my favor. Then all of a sudden 68 days later the company decided to respond to the complaint. Any company that takes 68 days to respond to a complaint is obviously not a better business. The BBB immediately reopened the already closed complaint and immediately decided that the company did a good job in addressing the matter at hand. They took the complaint off of BBBs website and the company now has an A+ rating.I personally think that the BBB made a deal with this company where if they paid money to join and advertise on their site they would wipe the already decided complaint clean from their record. The BBB is a Very shady business. You will only be wasting your time filing a complaint with this unfair and biased company.

To be honest I thought there would be a lot more resolution. The process was great and easy, however if the company is wrong and knows that they are wrong they can just leave it as “consumer dissatisfied”. So there are no conquences for how poorly they conduct business and how many people they steal money from without rendering the service they are supposed to be required to do. Unless your willing to pay a lot of money in court, the bad businesses always win.

I specifically asked BBB for comments and help in my replys and none were ever addressed. They just forward responses back and forth between people and businesses but do not actually step in or help when asked to.And the BBB responds with the same automated response they add to every bad review....

I am writing about TOP NOTCH CONTRACTING. I have had dealings with them for several years and have been very pleased with their work, the promptness of their response when I have had a problem, and the reasonable charges. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help. They can do everything --electrical, plumbing, painting, a/c etc. The owner, Justian Frischkorn, really takes an interest in helping solve whatever your problem may be. I have been impressed with his honesty as well as his hard work in my behalf.

The office of the BBB was good about communicating with me, but as soon as they said, “Oh the business in your complaint is one of our accredited businesses”, I knew that they would no longer be my advocate. The way the BBB closed the case makes me look like I was the problem even though the business had lied to me. The complaint was closed as stating that “The business addressed the customer concerns but the customer was not satisfied.” No, the business did NOT address my concerns which is why I am not satisfied. So, no, this was not a positive experience. I am acutely disappointed in the BBB.

First of all, the BBB is an independent franchise company and has NOTHING to do with regulating a company, enforcing any laws, policies, ethics, etc. What it does is request payments for a membership and make sure that you are a legal entity. If you call them to report one of their AAA members they will NOT do anything to make sure they are following the law or otherwise. EXAMPLE: A company called BIG Commerce in austin took money from my account for 27 months when I reported it to the BBB they said there was nothing they could do, I ask why would they allow this company to remain as a AAA rating company and they said they could not do anything.... Look at the reviews for Big Commerce and you will read a lot a companies saying the same thing about Big Commerce taking money when not authorized. BEWARE BEWARE

The BBB does serve a purpose. The purpose is advertising. I own a company that is a BBB member. I have an A+ rating with no complaints. I pay the BBB as do all the member companies a fee so we can say we are a member of the BBB and utilize good business practices. This is supposed to mean something. When I see a company like u ship out of Austin, with an A+ rating and dozens of complaints, read them yourself on the BBB website, I have to wonder why this high of a rating? It becomes apparent that perhaps the BBB is not what it used to be. When victimized by the aforementioned company, I read the complaints as well as posted one. The majority of the complains had merit, yet were disregarded by double-talk from the company and closed by the BBB. In my opinion its clear the BBB is starting down that slippery slope we call deception.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau because of David McDavids Ford Service Supervisor and Manager. They charged me over $450.00 to diagnose my break problem when I only agreed to the standard $135.00 diagnostic. No parts were replaced. When I confronted the the Service Supervisor, he was very rude and condescending. He agreed to drop my bill to $300.00 which I paid so that I could get my car back. Long story short, I contacted the Better Business Bureau that night and the next day I was contacted by a very nice representative from David McDavid Ford who agreed to refund my money up to the agreed up $135.00 diagnostic. I am grateful to the BBB for fighting for me. I am also grateful for the very pleasant representative at David McDavid Ford who reached out to me and agreed to the refund. Thanks BBB.

BBB should follow their own guidelines and stop calling and harassing our company and our staff. Their phone rep was told repeatedly by every member of staff that we were not interested in renewing accreditation. Their rep lied and said they were not told this, only that our contact person was out of the office. The BBB is a toothless, antiquated, and virtually useless organization in this day and age, and they apparently employ spammy telemarketers to do their dirty work.

If I could give BBB zero stars I would. They are not here to protect consumers and make sure that businesses do the right thing. If they have a business that pays them to be a member of BBB, they do everything they can to make them look good. I have a business that has refused to do warranty service on an AC unit that has been broken for over a year. BBB makes filing against them difficult for me by rejecting claims, closing claims that are not resolved, and claiming that new claims are duplicate. They are a scam.

BBB scams businesses and is NOT a govt agency (contrary to the way they market themselves). First off, the BBB is a FOR profit agency and provides businesses no way to defend themselves from false claims from competitors or customers with false accusations. Finally theres a source of reviews that people can complain about this rip-off business that takes businesses money each year so they can determine your fate. The BBB conducts itself in unethical ways and doesnt have the best interest of the consumer or the business in mind. All they care about is if you pay their annual fee. I spoke with Ann Atkinson at BBB and her aloofness and unwillingness to correct BBBs failure to properly interact and follow up with Reviewers who successfully submit a review without giving their full last name was shocking! She could care less! BBB has an obligation to either cause the Reviewer to not successfully submit a review without the necessary data, or, if they successfully accept the review, they should then publish it and not sit on it and 1), not contact the reviewer, and 2). not inform the business! I mean seriously, how many good reviews are out there in a BBB hold que that BBB does nothing with! We PAY for this service. Its shameful! Frost Arnett Company is a collections company that will take your money and sit around doing nothing for a few weeks, providing you no proof that you paid your debt until it meets their schedule. They wont even fax or email a receipt. They dont care that youre trying to clear up debt. They will tell you that will mail you a receipt the next day and you can wait for the slow USPS to deliver it. They are bottom feeding scumbags who make their money off the hard times of others. This was for medical debt, by the way. I cant believe the lack of cooperation on this companys part. I hope that they go out of business and lose all of their money and go into debt for medical bills someday so that they get a taste of their own medicine.

After nearly six months of trying to get a permanent solution from Dell/Alienware for a non-functioning laptop, I finally contacted BBB Austin, TX. Alienware had been doing endless troubleshoots and repairs, but were unwilling to admit that I had received a lemon. They guaranteed me that it was impossible to get a refund or a new computer from them, and that troubleshoots though the customer service, and sending my laptop in for repairs over and over again, was the best they could do. After I contacted the BBB, I received a full refund from Alienware/Dell (not without remaining persistent and refusing replacement with a refurbished laptop as a solution several times). Eventually, within 3 weeks of getting BBB involved, I received my full refund, and I was able to buy a laptop of a different brand. Never again Dell/Alienware, and I hope I will never have a reason to contact BBB again. But I will if I have to; I was close to losing my mind, getting nowhere with Dell/Alienware (they make it near-impossible to reach a manager or CEO on your own.) Do not waste time like I did, and reach out to BBB. I am glad I did.

The BBB itself is a scam. I filed a complaint against an A+ paying member business that was clearly in violation of the BBB rules. The business agreed that it was doing what I complained about, and agreed to fix my situation, but not change its practices. I told the BBB that it should ban the company from membership or lower its rating because it hadnt changed its practices. The BBB said because it fixed my complaint, the company was fine, and its still an A+ rated member.

I cannot even get anyone to answer at BBB of Austin office. The phone just rings. At this point the former roofer, who claimed to do flat roof specialty and did a hack job, hence leaking everywhere during the april and may rains, the Capital City Roofing, came back and repaired the roof with caulk etc so many times. Know this everyone, Dan Malin, its owner may be qualified for normal roofing; specialty he is not. Unfortunately I learned legal process after all of the rains and the horrendous repairs. I could not afford to start that process over again for 45 more days of rain and dans repairs. Instead I put the attorney money to a new roof. I have an official report prior to replacing it citing open seams where you could put your finger into, the metal wasnt even replaced, the insulation board was removed and not put back and the scuppers heights were not even adjusted to accommodate the lacking insulation board. STAY AWAY from this charismatic roofer. Even his specialty sub guy told me verbally all I could do was get a new roof. Offered to bid but then went radio silent because Im guessing didnt want to get pulled in. I rated BBB one star since at least I can post online this issue. By the way, I offered capital city roofing the opportunity to part amicably and he said hed repair again. Once the new roof was install (new sloping, metal...etc) all leaks are 200% gone. No joke. It was not the houses fault. It was the roof Dan Malin.
