I love this place! They literally have the best customer service ever. I wouldnt even consider dealing with another property management company. I have never encountered a company that is more sincere and professional as Shippy Properties!
AC is unable to get the apt down to temp during hot summer days, management keeps sending drywall crew out to fix our outside closet but they just paint over the molded drywall instead of replacing it. Management doesnt ever follow up after saying they will every time.
Absolutely terrible. My friend was moving into vista del Rey apartments where she was going to move into. They said she’d be able to move into her apartment on the 23 of April from there they pushed her move in date back week after week forcing her to sleep in her car and in hotels that were also poorly maintained. The management kept lying to her and had her sign the lease promising her move in dates that were false. She decided to go to another apartment that treated her like she should’ve been treated. Since she signed the lease they are saying she has to pay $1600 for breaking the lease when they had broken it 4 separate times so she decided on another apartment. I do NOT recommend doing business with them considering they are unreliable and can’t run a proper management company. They kept coming up with excuses on why she couldn’t move in and after a month still wasn’t able to. Sounds like scamming to me. This company is NOT recommended. Also mind she still hasn’t even seen the keys yet or stayed in the apartment and they are still charging her $1600. I would also give 0 stars if possible
I have been living at the Tuscany Apartments in San Antonio since May 25, 2021 and have had a leak from restroom upstairs that started a few days after I moved in. I put in a work order and maint showed up the same day. IMPRESSED at the response, they told my daughter some parts would need to be ordered and that they would be back to fix it that same day but no later than the end of the week...fast forward to July 25,2021 (2 months now) and maint has yet to come back. Since then my AC started leaking, the toilet now leaks when we flush (can hear it in the kitchen ceiling). I have called multiple times, sent emails to both tuscanyparkcm and shippy properties-IF YOU DARE LEAVE A RESPONSE ASKING ME TO EMAIL YOU THEN WE KNOW YOU DO NOT ACTUALLY READ THE REVIEW OR YOU DO NOT CARE TO FIX THE ISSUES WITH THE APARTMENTS, WHICH ONE IS IT SHIPPY-I have even called the emergency- NO ONE EVER SHOWS UP. maintenance numbers, the only thing they fixes since was the AC leak and that was because I went in person again and demanded they fix it. I am still waiting for the restrooms leaks to be fixed. I am sure this wouldnt be an issue if they actually fixed the issues correctly and not just do a quick cheap fix. FIX IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME SO YOU DONT HAVE TO KEEP FIXING THE SAME ISSUES MULTIPLE TIMES.Get your act together and stop with your excuses or youre no better than the previous Property Management that keeps getting blamed for the issues at this apartment complex.Repeat excuses:Excuse 1 We just took over this property and are trying to fix the issues ...Excuse 2 We are in the process of hiring maintenance...Current pic attached
Very unsatisfied, I’ve been here for over a week, my apartment has mold wet sheet rock and was without a water heater. The water heater was just put under the stairs but since that. There has been no water pressure, some sinks barely work, the kitchen sink doesn’t work anymore. A busted pipe in my upstairs restroom. No tub faucet so I can’t even turn the shower on. The Ac needs to be completely replaced NOT worked on REPLACED! It doesn’t cool down upstairs and isn’t blowing air downstairs either. Since I’ve moved in I’ve also been without a mailbox key so I’ve yet to get ahold of any of my mail. I am a very understanding person but the lack of communication on when things will be repaired is not helping. This is not the employees whom work the office fault this is completely on shippy and not having a plan when hiring a new team.

My apartment has flooded twice and the maitenance team has done little to nothing to fix the underlying issue. The 1st flood we were provided with a dehumidifier which does not fix all the water damage and mold. The 2nd flood absolutely nothing was done and the leasing office wont reply to my calls or emails. I live at the Indigo Apartment complex on Braesview 78213.
Brynwood apt still has water issues for some residents for weeks now. Most washers are still out and many apt units were flooded in during snowstorm. It’s almost a month and they haven’t helped everyone solve the apt problems. If you check their availability online there are so many vacancies. People are leaving due to the living conditions. Shippy properties should do their job and not give tenants the runaround. People pay rent and sadly so many are breaking leases and not renewing their contract. Staff and management needs to communicate better. Hire reliable maintenance staff. Fix this issue ASAP especially there’s a pandemic and now molds are a problem as well for everyone’s health and safety.
Residence of Hillside Villas without water contact Austin Code Enforcement, Office of the Attorney General, BBB. There are legal repercussions for how they are addressing the plumbing. No water for 16 days now with no end in sight AND no rent compensation or discount. Mold is high from busted pipes. They offer breakfast and lunch but I would rather they cover rent & not buy food and let people with no masks manhandle community food. Not super safe in a pandemic or helpful if the complex doesnt have water and then there is a breakout of covid in this complex because of the silly acts of compensation.Woken entirely too often at 8 a.m. by leaf blowers- sometimes that go all day. Usually a few times a week.Woken at night from drivers with loud strereos. People honking through out the day, early a.m. and night waking me up Or interrupting life...Too many maintenance issues, maintenance guy came over during pandemic with no mask, rude manager, staff deals with reasonable requests like its a burden. I can hear neighbor at night snoring, the walls are so thin. Stairs are rusty and paint chipping. I always wonder if they will break some day. Overwhelming chemicals come in when they do remodels.Smoke comes into my place from other peoples fireplaces.Car broken into twice.Mailboxes broken into on a regular bases and Mail stolen.

Here at there Coppermill property were living as if it’s a 3rd world country. Having to use remaining snow water, neighboring faucets, and whatever source we can just to have access to water. It’s been a week and we’ve not had water since. The sad part is rent is due on the 1st and a lot of us have to save every penny so we don’t have the luxury to go out and buy water. During a pandemic were you need to wash hands for 20 seconds we don’t even have that as a option. Copper mill didn’t announce they would be shutting water off. They have yet to send any updates on the current situation. IVE CONTACTED KVUE NEWS DEFENDERS WE DEMAND A RESPONSE FROM OUR OFFICE STAFF ON THIS ISSUE. OTHER APARTMENTS ARE LETTING THERE RESIDENTS COME TO THERE OFFICE JUST FOR WATER. COPPERMILL ON THE OTHERHAND SIMPLY DON’T CARE. JUST COOKING COMMON CHICKEN WE HAVE HIGHER RISK OF SPREADING SALMONELLA THIS IS SAD.

I have to give props to the people at Shippy Properties. We decided to move a group of our employees into a Shippy Property in Austin and they made it so easy. They sent a flyer to our local branch office about the preferred employer program so we took advantage of moving in a group of our corporate employees. They offered us the apartment lease with the desired months to suit the needs of our contract with the employees. Austin housing for a group of apartments is hard to find close to our offices. I want to thank them for being so helpful with this process. We will continue to house our employees at a Shippy management Apartment complex.

This company must not care about their residents at all! Summit apartments in San Antonio are horrible and Tori(assistant property manager) is completely rude and she doesn’t care. I’ve contacted corporate just to get a call from the person I complained about. Now non of my work orders are getting complete. Thanks a lot!

I cant describe what a phenomenal company Shippy Properties is! They care about our community and either host or sponsor local charities in Austin, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi. The team at Shippy works quickly and diligently to solve any issues that arise in a professional and timely manner. The culture for this company is a warm, inviting one that allows employees to grow immensely!

I used to work for Shippy Properties/Derby Park Apartments up unity about 2 weeks ago. I have never worked for such a warm and caring company. They care so much about their employees and residents.I can tell you that if there was ever an issue, as those come up anywhere you might live, the entire office would be in constant contact with the residents letting them know what was going on. There are times when we needed parts and were at the mercy of the availability of those parts or we may have needed a plumber and were at the mercy of the plumbers schedule. Shippy properties strives very hard to make their residents, employees and even the residents pets feel warm and welcome.Shippy Properties are the best at resident events. Spending hundreds of dollars on great food and gifts for our residents via raffles. Our residents just love these events and I loved being a part of this events as well. The manager of Derby Park, Kendra, Karin and myself strived to offer the best customer service possible. Kendra was very inviting and would go out of her way to help residents. Our regional manager, Rachel is also very warm, caring and accommodating as well are the owners.I would still be with this incredible company if it hadn’t been for the fact that my position, which was part-time was no longer needed. I miss the staff, owners and residents! What a great company!!

Do not move to any of their properties. 1500 lawnmont drive is INFESTED with rats and roaches and they’re just signing new leases to people like it’s the thing to do. I hate shippy properties and I’m turning y’all in.

I spent 225.00 and got denied because of a ticket i had in 2013. they did not even offer to give me half my money back. its a sad and unfortunate situation where they have to take my money and not even offer to attempt to do so. think really careful about renting here!!!!!!!!!!! and even more sad that i had to put one star in order to post!
Too bad you have to give stars! Id give zero if that were an option. The Shippy management company is a joke. The way they handle their residents is absolutely appalling. Rachel, director of operations, she should be ashamed of herself. She says she cares what a joke! These people dont care about anyone living in their apartments. All theyre concerned about is their rent. Theyll let you live without water for a month, then youll have water coming in through light fixtures in the ceiling and theyll have the audacity to tell you that things are back to normal. I sure hope they never have any water issues at their home. God forbid, they even endure what their tenants do. Im disgusted that they would allow people to live like this. They have been trying to sell our property for as long as weve lived here! NO ONE wants to buy it, that should tell you everything you need to know right there!

Shippy properties has done absolutly nothing to help me after my apartment was hit by a car for the second time. I lost everything in that accident. I was told that the reimbursement check was sent from austin on the 28th of Jan. It takes 1 to 2 days for it to get to san Antonio they could care less about their residents If u are thinking about moving in to a shippy managed property think twice i lived at the Fredd for 9 years they didnt lift a finger to help however they did what they could to hinder the process of finding abd securing a new place to live or locating my belongings in the rubble that was left after the drunk driver hit my apartment for the second timethis is in response to the reply from shippy.U do realize this review is 8 months old.Once again you guys did absolutly NOTHING for me to help me sort through the rubble you guys borded it up so i had no light you could see the insulation floating in the air. You did not help me find accomidations for me and my dogs we stayed in the car for a few days when one of my friends stepped up with a place to stay i lost everything and that was the second time i had been hit. So you know what u can do with ur apology and wishing me well in my new home give me a break.
