We called for two things. They did the first thing, which is remove a king size bed. Great job. The second thing we wanted them to do was put risers on a loveseat, which they said they didn’t have the right screws. They took one screw so they could go buy some and said they would call within 48 hours. We waited a week, then called them. They never returned the phone call even though we left a message. I called them again a week later, nothing. I did read the bad reviews about not being responsive, but I chose to ignore them and hired them anyway. It confuses me why businesses would not call their clients back. And I want my screw back!

Polite and professional. Completed a great bathroom remodel for us with expert workmanship on concrete, tiling on floor and walls, drywall, framing, and plumbing work. Lots of attention to detail and planning. Extremely trustworthy and conscientious. Already have several other remodeling projects planned with Terry in the next few months. Very friendly and outgoing guy, with an admirable work ethic. Stays with the job to see it thru to perfection. Our new handyman. Terry does almost all the work himself, only bringing a helper in when two men are necessary for the task. Always on-site himself to assure it’s done right. Can’t say enough good stuff about him.

Used Uncle Gus for work at one of my retail locations and in the beginning they were good to respond. After a while, they didnt show up for scheduled jobs, answer emails, voicemails or text messages. They did finally respond and got the job done. I decided to try to use them again but it seems things have not changed. After seven weeks, the job isnt done and what was done is already messed up. They will not respond to any type of communication as well. Time to move find someone new.

These people started out okay keeping the appointment on time and doing mostly an okay job on several small projects I had. They left knowing my patio light was no longer working after they worked on it. They promised to come back to fix what they broke. Afterwards they would not return my calls at all. I should have read the negatives reviews and negative BBB report before hand. They are not properly licensed. I highly recommend you NOT hire this company as they are only after your money and NOT customer service.

I contacted this company for a quote about removing an old appliance. Brian replied quickly via email and gave me some useful information. I did not actually hire them because I was trying to save money and Brian let me know that the City of Austin would be doing a bulk trash removal next month. They did save me money! I was so lucky to find My Uncle Gus to help me with several projects over the last 8 months. The first job they helped with was moving cabinets into a new house, high on a hill during construction (the drive was not poured and they literally carried the new cabinets up the hill!). And even more incredible, they got the cabinets into the house and up to the second floor. And not only did they do an amazing job, they did it cheerfully! They said they loved the challenge. It was a really hard job, and wow, what a difference their careful and cheerful approach made. We recently had a new addition to the family in the form of a new baby girl and called these guys to do the new room addition for her. These guys went above and beyond for us and gave us the baby room of our dreams. I had a 6:30 p.m. appointment scheduled with a technician from Uncle Gus. About an hour before the appointment I received a call from the technician saying he was going to be running late and asked if it was okay if he came by later than originally anticipated... Approximately one hour or 7 30 p.m. I said sure that was fine please give me a heads up when youre headed my direction. 730 passes no call 8:30 passes no call 930 passes no call. At that point I texted the technician, Terry, asking him what his ETA was and left a voicemail. I received no response.The following day I called Terry to see if he was okay and follow up about the missed appointment. He did not answer his phone so I left a voicemail. I also called the main office numerous times and left a voicemail and received no response.I was excited to meet with the technician because over the phone I thought that Uncle Gus repair sounded like they knew what they were doing and received excellent reviews. I was both shocked and disappointed by the other lack of professionalism of pushing back an appointment, not showing up to said appointment, and not letting the customer know. Even worse, they did not have the courtesy to return any of my voicemails or offer any explanation on why they completely blew the job off.On a side note I am writing this with voice to text so pardon any spelling / grammar errors.Uncle Gus, Im still waiting to hear back from you guys if youre still interested in doing the jobMaking it up to me would be easy.... return my calls/texts.Still haven’t heard from yall... the office and technician have my number.
