Highly unqualified to do any sort of contract work for a bathroom remodel! DO NOT trust ARAD to do your remodel. We ran into a slew of things that went wrong with this project and ultimately had to move on with a different company to fix the damage they did to our home in the process and salvage the shoddy work they did in our bathroom. We hired ARAD to remodel our bathroom, and they needed to update the shower area (no plumbing movement), switch out the carpet for tile, and then switch out the tub (minor pipe movement for the new drain and faucet location). Here is a quick bullet list of items that went wrong, but I highly recommend you reading about the details below before hiring ARAD:-Very little progress from January to March-Workers hired are not qualified (often the first time on a job)-Damage to multiple areas of the house unrelated to the project-Drinking on the job-Had to redo the tile work completely-The faucet valve stuck out of the wall too much, had to redo backer -board to fix his work-Caught workers going through our personal belongingsThe timeline:They began the work in mid-January, and all things went well the first week. They showed up and did the demolition as planned. Next, ARAD took a full month to put up backer-board and a shower pan (a 3 day job) The tile (in March) and took 8 days, a 2-3 days job.ARAD was not careful. Lots of water damage from the home. Water poured through our 1st-floor ceiling. Again, we did NOT move ANY plumbing in our shower, so this happened from a simple task that any remodeler should have been able to perform.A water into our ceiling mishap occurred a second time. ARAD decided to cut off the hot water pipe entirely while the lines still had water in them. More water drained into our ceiling. We now have water stains throughout our entire downstairs living room ceiling. To make matters worse, the person on his crew stepped on the ceiling drywall, so there is now a gap where the drywall started to come down. There is also drywall damage in the room adjacent to our bathroom. It appears that someone knocked a hole into the wall from the other side of the room, exactly where the shower is located.Once the tile started going up, I noticed the spacing was inconsistent, and the mortar was everywhere (outside tile, floor, countertops, walls), and no space for grout. As I started to ask more questions, I found out that none of the workers brought on by Luke were qualified. Several plumbing movements were attempted, and none were licensed plumbers. The tile worker stated that this was his first job laying tile.I also caught one of the workers going through my things. I watched for a bit to see what they were doing, then finally asked if I could help them find something. They just about jumped through the roof when they realized I was watching. The absolute last straw was Luke drinking on the job. This was even admitted by him in a text to me, which I chose not to respond to. I could smell alcohol on his breath starting around noon on a Saturday. He had been at my house since 8:30, so I imagine he was taking breaks and drinking in his car. I asked him to leave around 1 pm that day.The faucet valve was not appropriately measured before adhering it inside the wall (before backer board and tile), meaning that the faucet handle would never meet the wall. The tile was unevenly spaced or not level in various places, and one was even overlapping the wall by several centimeters. Also, they tiled too much of the floor, and we could not screw in the drain cover all the way. These are all things any qualified bathroom remodeler should have known.Ultimately, we now have to remove ALL the tile, fix the valve depth, replace any backer board that is damaged with this removal, and of course, fix the plumbing attempts for the bathtub. The tile and backer board replacement is a considerable loss in costs, hundreds worth, let alone additional labor costs. We also get to repair various drywall areas from water damage and someone punching a hole in the wall.
